Shell Bay

"Every table has a view at this superbly located bistro, set on the water’s edge overlooking Brownsea Island. It started life as a shack and retains an appealingly rustic feel – and the terrace is a real hit come summer. The twice daily menu showcases local seafood in a mix of modern and classic dishes." - Michelin Inspector

Yelp
Fantastic ambience here. Beautiful setting, lots of space, relaxed staff (also slow). Food pretty good, but a bit pricey. Came with the kids, which was fine, but my wife and I both commented that this is the sort of place that makes you want to linger the whole afternoon. Uniquely on the south coast it feels like you are in a quiet spot.

Yelp
Stunning view and great locally fresh seafood. Small number of tables so booking in advance needed - Feb to Sept only - and a relaxed atmosphere. Chain ferry trip to get there just adds to the experience.
