The Best Mini-Mart Fried Food In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"In a city where every restaurant loves to brag about their “freshly sourced blah blah blah seafood,” excellent fried catfish comes straight out of a Beacon Hill mini-mart. And as you’re standing outside your car, tearing into the perfectly seasoned, flaky meat, there’s a good chance a complete stranger will walk up to you and reaffirm that exact fact. The other stuff here can be ignored—but no worries, because you and everyone else are here for the fish." - kayla sager riley, gabe guarente, aimee rizzo

The great fried catfish at the Beacon Hill Shell is no longer a secret - Review - Seattle - The Infatuation

"In a city where every restaurant loves to brag about their “freshly sourced blah blah blah seafood,” excellent fried catfish comes straight out of a Beacon Hill mini-mart. And as you’re standing outside your car, tearing into the well-seasoned, flaky meat, there’s a good chance a complete stranger will walk up to you and reaffirm that exact fact (it happened to us). The other stuff here is skippable, like dry wings and soggy jojos, but no worries—you and everyone else are here for the fish." - Kayla Sager-Riley

We Went on a Delicious Food Crawl to Beacon Hill’s Best Restaurants | Eater Seattle

"You can't go to Beacon Hill and NOT get a piece of catfish at the Shell gas station at 2424 Beacon Avenue: a single piece is a snack-sized bargain at $2.99, thin-sliced, deep-fried, light and crispy, and perfectly portable (make it peek halfway out of the little cellophane baggie and munch while you walk). The Beacon Hill Shell does a killer job at fryer fare in general (gizzards are a close second), and per local brain genius Charles Mudede it's well established as the best catfish in town — basically like eating an elephant ear at the fair, made of fish." - Meg van Huygen

Google
Heard that you can buy catfish here and had to go. Being from Kentucky this was a great find. It is deep fried and seasoned perfectly and reminded me of home. Will be going back very soon!

Google
Love this place. It’s super convenient because they have food 24/7. I just wish they would cook the corn dogs longer. This is the 3rd time I got one and the dough is raw. (Was at work so there was no way to recook it sadly) it definitely looks done on the outside so I can get why they thought it was.

Google
Good hot food 24x7. If you don't visit this store, you're not put together correctly. I want to give GOOD review BUT... *** edit 2/12/2025 21:00: I have been back for food in the wee hours and it has been good. Thank you. I am probably going up there right now, in fact. I live near Chinatown and I go to beacon Hill for crispitos. cheers. /edit *** edit: I just got two crispitos at 03:00 and they were perfect. I'll add another star next time, and the fifth will follow. *** /edit I am only taking time to write this because I know that the ownership wants to do better... I have become accustomed to high quality and food, 24x7, in the vast hotcase. My favorite is the crispitos. Tonite I was disappointed with the two crispitos... old and not hot enough... one was only half edible... the other maybe 2/3. It was 01:00 a.m., but I am certain that you want to sell good hot food no matter the hour. I have become a regular just for the crispitos, so I will give you 5 stars next time I get a good crispito after midnight. Very happy with store before tonight. I will be pleased to give 5 stars soon. Cheers.

Google
I happened to stop just to get gas. I was greeted at the door. Thank you! Then I seen 3 big grown men eyeing the food items! The smell hit me! I seen all the men ordering and talking about how good the food was. I paid for my gas. I accidentally gave them the wrong pump number and they kindly corrected the pump for me. As I was walking back to my car to pump my gas a big guy was just eating his food at the pump 😂 A crow was begging for food. Thats when I knew I had to find out what the visible hype is all about. I pumped my gas and went back in to order food. They kindly weighed my food out and I paid. Customer Service is Excellent! Couldnt ask for better customer service! I get home and eat my food AND THIS MADE MY DAY 🥲🥲🥲 That catfish is sooooooo good!!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Im glad I followed the big fellas and got me some food from here too! Will be back! Gas prices are good but the food is even better!!!!

Google
Best fried fish in Washington. Shhh don't tell my mom but it's almost better than hers.

L. C.

Google
Car wash doesn’t work. Man behind the counter is extremely rude… manger completely unbothered.

Joseph S.

Google
The catfish was a paper thin piece of overcooked fish that tasted like the oil was never changed. I went to the Mexican grocery across the street to buy a pastry just to get rid of the nasty aftertaste.

juanita W.

Google
My spouse and I are from Texas and my sisters and her husband are from Colorado and we heard good things about the food here so we decided to go. We got a little bit of everything (catfish, gizzards, chicken wings and regular chicken and potato wedges) and all the food needed some seasoning. The sausage was good and spicy but really greasy.

Jessica W.

Yelp
Dr Drew is absolutely the best! He is so helpful and even patched up my friend who had fallen. This is the most welcoming station I've visited!

Romina I.

Yelp
Dr. Drew, the manager is amazing! When I fell down in their parking lot a couple of weeks ago he cleaned up my knee and bandaged me up. What a sweet kind man! He also happens to do a really great job managing this gas station. If you're in the neighborhood, go check it out. They sell catfish and gizzards too.

Helen M.

Yelp
This Beacon Hill Shell stop in Seattle is my favorite place to shop for daily puppy treats and people (me!) treats!!! I wouldn't go anywhere else - treats are THE BEST and store and workers are too!!!

Jahan S.

Yelp
After leaving my initial review, I received a very nice message from the owner/operator of the business Dr. Drew... very unusual in these times. Because of that I'm looking forward to going back again just to meet him :-)

Yelp
This gas station is known for their hot food that they serve. Especially the fried chicken and fried catfish. When we pulled into the parking lot, you could see the place was popping. Everyone I saw walk out, had that white bag in hand which indicated they were coming out with hot food. Inside it's your typical gas station setting and the food is up front by the cashier. You get in line to go to the cashier and order there. We ordered wing, thigh and leg. And we also ordered two pieces of catfish and 1/2 lb of jojos. I was upset about the chicken. Every single person that gassed this place up has never had good fried chicken in their life. It lacked seasoning and was soooooo dry. Literally choking down bites of a chicken leg to go down. Thank goodness I purchased an ice tea to drink, or I would have been in serious trouble. The thigh was just just as dry. For dark meat to be this dry, I couldn't even begin to comprehend how overcooked it was. As dry as it was - you would expect it to be burnt on the outside. But the saving grace was the catfish. For the price point, it delivered on all expectations. On our visit it was $8.99/lb. The catfish was everything the chicken was not. It was hot, fresh, flaky and seasoned so well. We would definitely come back for the catfish. But that's it. Even the jojos were subpar. They sell little containers of bbq sauce and ranch for $0.50 each but they should only be $.10. They hardly have any sauce on the inside. So even though the chicken is like a negative two, the fried catfish delivered above our expectations so I'll give it a three overall. To Note: we ate our food immediately in the car in the parking lot.

Yelp
The best fried catfish and chicken! They even have gizzards which this southern boy found the best outside of the south! A++

Yelp
Fish is delicious and the price is unbeatable. Also open late and friendly staff. They had freshly fried fish at 10pm on a Thursday evening what's not to love

Yelp
When you need good hot food fast these are the people you wanna see.. I go here constantly to get food and beverages they have a very wide selection from cat fish to pizza sticks and it's really good
google avatar

Demi B.

Yelp
The food here is great and the prices are phenomenal. As a local, I love coming here to grab a quick meal or a small snack. They have plenty of hot food options, ready to go. My go tos are the fried catfish, potato wedges, and corn dogs. I've loved everything I've tried from here. The staff is also so friendly, I always have a great experience ordering and checking out. Not your typical gas station food for sure. Try it!

Gaurav B.

Yelp
Solid catfish and tartar sauce. Very reasonably priced. The jojos were fantastic as well

Yelp
The cleanest, friendliest gas station / market I've ever been to. The catfish alone is worth a trip from anywhere you might be in Seattle. Dr. Drew is the GOAT. He takes great pride in making this Shell a staple of Beacon hill. A one of a kind good hearted dude who truly cares about the neighborhood and all that call it home. Much love to the crew at Beacon Hill Shell. Thanks for all y'all do.

Yelp
Another visit and another happy one. Tried the boneless chicken this time and the missus approves. Bonus points for that. I like the cheese stuffed jalapeño poppers too. Food groups galore. Vegetable, dairy and cooking oil. :D Of course I came for the catfish which has never disappointed. I'd rather go here than the fish n chips place nearer to my house that gets great reviews since I've always gotten better service here.
google avatar

Julian G.

Yelp
I'll keep it simple. This gas station has no business having fried catfish THIS good! I will drive from West Seattle to come get this catfish. Pro tip, call them to ask when they're bringing it out of the fryers, they're always super friendly and will let you know.

Alex L.

Yelp
Hands down the best catfish in Washington! I'd recommend this place to anybody that hasn't tried it. Dr. Drew is a legend in the community.

Natnael T.

Yelp
Dr. Drew was the best, very accommodating and helpful, definitely the gas station I prefer to go to because of him!

Yelp
Been going here for years, but I think 2025 is the year for a change. This is not a review of their food or their quality of gas. This is a review of the customer service - or lack thereof. Had a most difficult experience tonight (Friday, January 3, 2025) where I was getting gas using my Fuel Rewards program and it stopped after only filling .241 gallons. When I went inside the inquire, the woman behind the counter informed me that "she thought I was finished and needed to reset the computers due a technical difficulty." Umm....I was not THAT Asian customer, as it was clear I was no where near finishing when I had not even filled up one gallon of gas. There must be something they can see that shows the progress of the pump stations, and if not, perhaps they should have that. Anyway, when I logged back in to continue fueling, all of my reward points WERE GONE. Ridiculous. The woman told me there was "nothing she could do" and then wished me a "happy new year" sarcastically. Ummm....there is a LOT you can do to improve on customer service. I get that there was an issue, BUT you can also do things such as maybe offer a bag of chips or something for the inconvenience??? I guess it's clear who they value - not the customer. So, I think from now on I'll go to a different Shell or just go to Costco because the gas is cheaper at the other locations anyway.
google avatar

Grace B.

Yelp
A typical Shell gas station. What more can I comment? I was able to pump gas with a simple swipe of my debit card. I quickly needed gas before heading towards the airport. My rental car was supposed to be filled before turning it back in. This place has the typical little convenience store that has snacks and some liquor. It's a typical Shell gas station. Clean and I'm not from the area so the location didn't look sketchy. It was pretty much a normal place on an early morning.

Kater V.

Yelp
They sell dry day old catfish and then charged so much. Not worth it. Better to go to Ivars because sometimes it ain't even catfish.
google avatar

Frank B.

Yelp
$6 per gallon HOLY FAULKNER! Wow , this is insane pricing I just paid for gas at this location on Beacon Hill. In fact this place was gauging prices by 50 cents to a $1 higher per gallon than other competitors in the area... Where are the protests from Seattleites? Surprising there they haven't surrounded the place and burned it to the ground. Disappointed that Joey B and Shell are allowing gas to rise this high!

Launie D.

Yelp
Hi all! Thought I'd gloat about my excitement, fun and what will probably be one of the most memorable experiences at a Shell "gas station" that I will ever endure or write a review about :} Just about a week ago, my car was stolen from my residence in the West Seattle area, and by the grace of God, police and On Star, it was found parked at Dr. Drew's ( Shell station in Beacon Hill ). My anxiety level of my car being stolen was indescribable, and after finding out it had been located, it was difficult to really feel much relief because of the typical towing bill that I had anticipated would take place due to the fact that it was just sitting unattended in the parking lot of a busy place of business. Thanks to Dr. Drew, my car was not towed as he allowed me the time I needed to recover it. On arrival, I was so amazed by the hospitality, understanding, patience and generosity that Dr. Drew and his staff so freely and naturally established throughout the whole unexpected process. Not only did he insure that my car was not towed, but he allowed me visual footage of the thief who was tagged and arrested for stealing my car, and for being an idiot with the police officer. His sense of humor while witnessing the actions of the idiot being caught red handed with a stolen vehicle was priceless. Seeing footage was only something I had hoped I would get lucky enough to see. Not only did I really need to see the footage for a piece of mind, but I really needed the hella good laughs we had while watching it. But the coolness doesn't stop there, Dr.Drew saw how trashed the inside of my car was and gave me a trip through the car wash and some tokens to vacuum my car. He also allowed me to dispose of the items that were left in my car into the dumpster that they at the Shell use for their own trash. I seriously still can't get over the hospitality and the feeling of someone just having my back and truly wanting to make my day like it was my birthday! Thank you Dr. Drew for the awesome day, I truly just wanted to hang out and party in the parking lot and keep celebrating how special ya'll made me feel... Thanks again so much! Best, Launie

Yelp
I made a trip here just for the catfish after hearing that this Shell gas station specifically has the catfish. It is priced at $8.99 per pound and one piece of catfish was around $3.50-4 depending on the size, and it was a huge piece of catfish. Unfortunately, sauce was 50 cents extra but definitely don't skip on the tartar sauce. While not the best overall, getting a large piece of catfish and one tartar sauce for about $4.50 after tax is a quick, affordable snack. The good thing is that this gas station is 24/7 so this could be an excellent late night option if need be.
google avatar

Fishio B.

Yelp
Definitely worth a stop for above average whole fried catfish and other fried foods. Locally supported big time. Open 24/7 outstanding hours!

Anhtu V.

Yelp
Great cat fishes . I got the recommendations from my husband as I work near by. I bought for my coworkers and they love it .
google avatar

Yelp
Heard the Food Mart at this shell station had really good fried chicken, catfish and chicken gizzards, so of course my better half wanted to go there to try the food. (He loves fried chicken gizzards,) I like fried catfish and haven't had any since leaving TX We bought: -Catfish. 5/5 -jo Jo potatoes 5/5 -Chicken gizzards 4/5 very tasty but very salty - fried chicken 3.5/5 Everything is sold by the pound. I will definitely go again to get the fried catfish, Jo Jo potatoes and gizzards

Yelp
After hearing a lot of people mentioning a Shell that serves Fried Catfish, I knew I had to go and try. We came pretty hungry so when we looked at the display case, we literally wanted to try everything... Fried catfish ---- soft, big pieces, needs a little salt, but comes with tartar sauces Fried chicken wings --- big plump wings, a little dry but still pretty good. Fried Gizzards ---- sooo yummy, i like the texture and flavor of this a lot. Potato wedges --- these were huge, they are probably 2-3x the size of regular wedges and i like the flavor sausage skewers --- decent, not bad, standard. The only thing i wish was taht they were fresh, then they would have the crispiness, but otherwise it's pretty good. Price is standard as well. Definitely a place to grab a quick lunch or after a hangover hahah Also, they have turkey leg on their menu!!!! Next thing to try when I'm back

Mimi J.

Yelp
This place is pretty much Seattle's answer to Allsups! The fried chimi's, burritos and taquitos are worth swinging in for on your way in, or out of Seattle. Dr Drew is the best-he truly cares about his community and makes damn sure everything is fresh and up to par!

Miranda S.

Yelp
This Shell station has some of the absolute best fried chicken and fried potato wedges around! Always fresh and hot. Cheap. By the best. . Five stars all the way. My fiance and I used to practically live off the food there it was that good. Great customer service. The management totally cares about the customers and the surrounding community!!! I highly recommend stopping in to grab a bite!!

Yelp
favorite shell station. Dr. Drew is not only extremely charming but also very professional. I was in there for aprox. 5 mins and not only very polite (complimenting me on my attire in a very professional manner) he also had some extra inventory he gave me the opportunity to buy at a very good price (which was very thoughtful of him). ANYWHOOO, i very much would recommend this gas station...especially if Drew is there :)

Alberto M.

Yelp
I came in to use the restroom and after 5-6 mins, I was getting the door pounded multiple times. 5 mins later I came out asking who was knocking on the door. One of the fry cooks came yelling saying "other poeple need the bathroom" and started cussing me out. He said Im banned from the using the restroom. When I asked another tenant if Im actually banned because I was only in the restroom for 15 mins, He claimed that it was a lot longer to which I responded, "I came in the store at 7am and it is now 717, you can check the cameras." He continued by confirming that I was banned. I have a shared restroom at home which I explained to the tenant, who didnt care. This place is filled with shitty people who have no respect for anyone. DO NOT COME HERE. Y para el hijo de puta que se quizo hacer que no sabia español, vas y chingas a toda tu puta madre pinche cocinero de mierda! Reply:27 Mins!! Ur ridiculous brother, I dare you to share that video publicly with time stamps, I will remove the review and go and apologize to you and the cook personally if thats any matter to you, Ill post a pic of my outfit so u cant lie about who ever was in the restroom for 27 mins. I was wearing a black collar shirt with blue pants. I have no reason to lie boss, so please prove that I was there for 27 mins

Yelp
Yes, you read right. A gas station is getting five stars on Yelp because this isn't just any ordinary gas station. This one has the best catfish in Seattle! My bestie who grew up in Beacon Hill told me about Shell's catfish secret. We still think Grandma Maggie makes the best catfish, but since Grandma Maggie moved back to Louisiana, we have nowhere else to get catfish besides from this Shell gas station on Beacon Hill! A few of us came here after a night of drinking and walked in and saw that they were frying the catfish. We were told that for the fresh catfish, it would be ready in 15 minutes, which was well worth the wait. The employees here were super chill and laidback, and said that we could hang out until the catfish was ready. Catfish was the best I've had in the area! I do love me some good ol' catfish, and this one is worth stopping by, even if you don't need to pump gas. The catfish was flaky and flavorful, and fry was light, which is how it should be. I've had catfish from a few places around town, and none of them compare to this one. In addition to catfish, they have fried chicken, gizzards, jojos, pizza rolls, burritos, etc... But the catfish is the best kept secret here! Meet ya there.

Yelp
Amazing staff! Always a pleasure to stop in and have a little chat. Definitely recommend them!

Yelp
I lived on Beacon Hill for 24 years and the Beacon Ave Shell station is my go to gasoline station. The manager Drew is extremely friendly and helpful. Food is great. One time I went to the deli, ordered catfish and placed my wallet down on the counter as I reached for some napkins to put into my bag. I left my wallet on the counter. The incident was captured on camera. I did not know what happened to my wallet. I retraced my steps half the night looking for my wallet, searching on the ground, the other stores I went to that night, all throughout my car. I knew it was lost for sure. The next day I get a call from Drew the manager and says, I saw who took your wallet. He's on camera coming up behind you, snatching it off the counter as you exited the store and putting it in his pocket. The Guy who took it is a regular customer. When he comes again, I'll get your wallet for you. Sure enough, the guy came in, had my wallet on him. All the ID was in there and the few dollars were gone, but I was just glad to get my ID and credit cards back. Drew saved my bacon! Drew is a Great GUY who cares about what happens to people in the store. I owe him a debt of gratitude for saving me a lot of pain and hardship of canceling cards, and obtaining a new driver license and more. Drew is the Man!

Todd W.

Yelp
This is my go to gas station. The manager's name is Drew and he really cares about his customers. He always goes out of his way to solve any issues you may have and always conducts himself in a positive and professional manner. The food is great quality and the employees are respectful and considerate. Thanks for the exceptional service to our community!!

Yelp
Reviewing Cust. Service and their Car Wash. Aug. 1st. I bought a carwash but the Clerk did not tell me that it was broken. I waited a few mins in line. The car before me was not moving. I had to knock on this car's window to ask him if he will be going in the Wash. He said a lady is trying to fix the Wash. I tell the car behind me that the Wash was broken. I was trapped and could not drive off. So I waited another 15 mins for two staffers to work on the codes. Finally the woman said to me that the Machine is broken. So I park my car and tried to get a refund on my Credit card. She could not figure out the register to give me a credit back. She stated because the Wash was broken all credit card refunds were locked up. She walks off to help another cust buying food. I then ask for a cash refund. The cook came to the Register and finally gave me a Cash refund. A Mgr finally came out to help train her on the Car Wash refund issue. She really should of called him for help in the first place instead of just walking away. She wanted me to keep the receipt with the code and come back. I did not tell her that my Celica is only insured for another few more days. I got it running to show it to try to sell it. It was sitting for many months and was very dirty. I live in an Apt so I would needto buy I did not want to have to get into my story where she probably would not want to hear. After I walked back to my car by the Car Wash, I hear the machine going. So I peaked and it was. At that point I decided not to waste my time going back into the store to buy another wash. I will probably take it somewhere else.

Yelp
SO tasty! I never had catfish until coming here the other night. The staff was very kind and the catfish was flavorful. I'll be back!

Yelp
I walked in and I was home, my first time there, and the lady was super nice, the Korean guy not so much, but they just picked catfish out the fryer and it was goooood The fried wings were delicious, and since I work ten minutes away at the Reef Georgetown it's not to far work. I'm going to try everything out, trust and believe Only one drawback seasoning, your gonna have to season it
google avatar

Annie N.

Yelp
"FRESH" FRIED FOODS... yummmm! We saw on @seattlefoodieadventure IG that the Beacon Hill Shell gas station is a hidden haven for fried catfish. We picked up a pound of their fried catfish, some jalapeño poppers, and some fried chicken gizzards. Everything is sold by the pound or the piece, super affordable. I enjoyed the catfish, but honestly wasn't too impressed with it. It was a bit too salty. The jalapeños poppers were delicious, but it was the gizzards that I wish I got more of! So crunchy and flavorful. The guys working behind the counter were nice and friendly, but the weren't wearing masks, including the guy grabbing our food. I should've said something, but I honestly didn't notice until after he grabbed our food and felt too uncomfortable to say anything. I had to nuke the goods in the airfryer at home before feeling safe eating it.

Yelp
My girlfriend upon entering the store was immediately sexually harassed and cat called by the cashiers. They whistled at her and shouted at her. Extremely disrespectful and unprofessional.
google avatar

Diana X.

Yelp
Friend told me about it and it sounded like a mysterious, wonderful local gem - turned out to definitely be the case. The food here rocks. The catfish especially, and it's all cheap. Incredibly freshly fried with the perfect amount of seasoning - so good the tartar sauce was just a bonus. The catfish itself is not fishy tasting at all, and was cooked to succulent, juicy perfection. Hope the fanfare doesn't change the place!

Yelp
I have been a sales rep for a beer & wine distributor in Seattle for the convenience store channel for close to 2 years now, and have been lucky enough to be able to service and provide for Drew's store as one of my accounts. Selling products to gas stations/small convenience stores can be tricky and most owners/managers, more often than not, are not very kind and extremely disoriented when it comes to running a business. However, Drew has made it possible for me to enjoy going into his store due to his level of attentiveness, organization, and overall business mentality he has. From what I have witnessed while servicing this account, Drew is able to create a positive and inclusive environment, for not only his employees, but his vendors and all customers that walk through the door, that helps shape his success. He is a very caring human that provides help for people that need it and appreciates overall conversation. Drew is the not only one of the most empathetic people I have met while doing my job, but also amazingly business oriented and does what he needs to do to get the job done. I believe this all accumlates to when you have someone like Drew, it resembles the successfulness that this convenience store/business provides!!

Jamie D.

Yelp
The Shell on Beacon Ave S is really such a great find. Having to be in SODO in the early morning hours, we often have difficulty with gas stations and convenience stores in the area. They close and lock up when it states they are open 24 hours. Discovered this shell location one night and my son and I are so pleased. They are always opened! They have hot food all through out the night and morning!

Matt B.

Yelp
Great food and even better people! Every time i stop by i instantly feel welcomed Drew is a awesome manager always doing what he can to go the extra mile to make the experience better. The last time i went in i had a medical mishap and he never hesitated to help thank you again!

Yelp
The best fried fish. It was moist inside, crunchy outside and seasoned well. The spicy chicken were good but not spicy enough for me. Gizzards were ok, will not order again. Prices are reasonable. Service was fast.

Dillon T.

Yelp
Mr. Drew IS A Great Manager of the Shell here at Beacon! He is always so respectful and helpful to all customers, if you have any trouble or issues he always will assist in a very professional way. You can always come back and speak with him if he is not around and he will solve your issues! A genuine good person, thanks Dr. Drew!

Yelp
I've been hearing about this place and it's catfish for a few months now so I decided to take a road trip from Tacoma to Seattle because I just love catfish and there's no good catfish or decent fish joints around the Tacoma area that I have experienced. So Seattle here I come! I was aware that it was a gas station and that didn't deter me. The reviews were raving for the most part. I got there and noticed the fish I just drove 40 something minutes for. I must say from the looks of it I wasn't even impressed but sometimes looks can be deceiving. Got 2lbs which totaled 4 pieces. @ $8.99 a lb Some tartar sauce and hot sauce @ .50 each. Okay ¿! Let me stand in this parking lot at the janky looking gas station in Seattle at 10 p.m. and try out this fish I've been hearing soooo much about. A little bit dry, okay! Semi chewy , right on! It's a little bit late after 10 at night. Maybe I should have traveled up here in the afternoon some time. Because let me tell you I wasn't impressed. And I wanted to be. Really I did. I don't consider myself a cook but I can fry some catfish. My dad can burn. My grandma, aunts , uncles and several family members would put this fish to shame. They'd also bag on me for eating said fish. I'll tell you how I really know I didn't enjoy it (I didn't even eat it all). I put 2 pieces in the fridge seeing if anyone else will like it. At best... from my experience this is some decent catfish on a good drunk night after the bar has closed and it was on the way home or wherever you're heading. Because you got burnt out on jack in the box greasy a$$ tacos. I'll try them again tbh in the decent hour where hopefully it'll be fresh and hopefully delicious. I'm not going to hold my breath though.

Yelp
This place was a big divergence from its online reviews. I came to try the fish and vacuum and wash my car. The fish looked really not good and I wouldn't eat it. The car wash didn't work when I first went to use it. Same with the first car vacuum. Didn't work and I had to use the other. No real alternatives for car washes in the neighborhood so I they have a captive market.

Yelp
Found this place through a food blogger as I'm a big fan of fried gizzards. We ordered the garlic chicken wings, fried gizzards and the sausage on a stick. Chicken wings were just ok and couldn't taste the garlic flavor at all. The fried gizzards was mixed with fried chicken hearts so that was a little misleading. The mixed sausage was just ok.

Yelp
I'm a Latino Guy who has lived 16 years so far in this neighborhood, and more than 10 years visiting Beacon Hill Shell station, Drew and his personnel are so awesome; thank God I learned English so I can narrate how blessed I am by living in this community. I remember this day when I came with my kids to the store on my daughters birthday, Drew brought this little surprise and gave my kids free Candies,my kids don't forget that. Also at the end of 2010 I lost my job and came to see drew, I mentioned to him that we were struggling getting food with our newborn babygirl, He got behind the counter and packed these bags full of fried chicken and catfish (which is the best in the area) and handed it to me so I could bring home something to eat, Not mentioning all the employees have assisted me in any need I had in the past. I saw him tho week and remembered to him and he replied:"I'm just glad to help" Thanks Drew and your personnel for being there to help the community!

Yelp
Piping hot, crispy, flaky, and tasty catfish!!! Don't forget to get some gizzards too. It's very well seasoned. Customer service is also awesome!
