Shepherd's Bush Market

This is a traditional style outdoor market, which runs the length of a long, pedestrianised road, with an entrance at both ends. There is also a tube station at each end, making it really easy to reach by public transport. There are many stalls on both sides, selling a huge selection of items, including meat, fruit & veg, toys, clothing and so much more. One side also has shops & cafes under the railway bridge that runs above it, so that increases the offering at the market. It's a good market, which isn't touristy like some of the markets in London. This gives it an enjoyable, lively and authentic atmosphere. There aren't too many markets like this around anymore, so it's definitely worth visiting.

Shepherd’s Bush Market is, sadly, a shadow of what it once was. Once a bustling and vibrant hub, it now feels rundown and neglected. Many stalls are either permanently closed or missing altogether, and the ones that remain are often selling goods of noticeably lower quality. The charm and character that once defined the market seem to have faded. I suspect its decline may be the result of the combined impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and competition from online retailers like Temu. It’s disheartening to see such a historic market lose its appeal

Everything you need is available at this traditional market, including reasonably priced household products, ready-to-wear apparel, and fabrics for both men and women. Falafel Hut: The best falafels I've ever tasted, delicious and freshly made. I heartily endorse it!

Shepherd’s Bush Market is a hidden gem. Packed with culture, amazing street food, and friendly local vendors. Great spot to find unique fabrics, spices, and authentic vibes you won’t get in a shopping mall. Always worth a visit.

Nice market with a wide range of products, from fresh foods to clothing, bedding, homeware and jewellery. Most items are in Middle Eastern fashion. I was tempted to have a quick lunch from the food stalls there, but I had the impression most of them weren’t too clean. Also, on average prices are a bit more expensive than other markets in West London. I recommend it especially to ladies who wear modest clothes.

Falafel Hut-Delicious fresh falafels,the best I've ever had and lures me back because of it's freshness,goodness and tastiness! Yummy,,Tahini,Aubegine,falafels,salad!Highly recommend it!

Fabrics on rolls, shoes in boxes, clothing on hangars, fresh fruits and vegetables, toys and trinkets as well as a fishmonger and at least two butchers (one halal, one I'm not sure), Shepherd's Bush Market has tons of the stuff you need. It's an eccentric mix of shops and stalls, but everyone is quite friendly and they're all very happy for your business. Easy to navigate, the market has two parallel aisles that run from one end to the other. But if you're too tired or you already bought a ton of stuff, you'd be excused if you only do one aisle. Conveniently located, the market runs next to the Hammersmith Underground line, between Goldhawk Road and Shepherd's Bush Market stations. You can't miss it.

The Shepherd's Bush Market came in very handy when I worked as a runner at the BBC years ago. This market really has it all from cheap food and housewares to gorgeous fabrics. In fact, the fabrics here are brilliant. I was requested to look for silk polka dot fabric once and you know what, it was all here. The prices are dirt cheap and sometimes you can haggle a wee deal. I always find markets a little disorientating and this one especially but if you have time to wander, do give this a look because you can pick up great deals on food and other bits for the house - brilliant.

Ah, Shepherds Bush Market - In the theme tune to Only Fools and Horses, in the heart of W12. This is a typical old school market with real traders offering there goods at what always seem to be "knock down prices". You can buy everything here, from the imported and rare spices, fruit and veg, meat, fish and sauces to the routine and mundane like a new suitcase, toys, shoes etc etc. An absolute mish mash of every conceivable type of clothes, be it a pair of jeans or a new sari. Get down there and have a good root around for a bargain - brilliant and a great way to waste a few hours !

Love this market. I mean I just REALLY love this market! The variety of goods geared mostly towards the local community ranged from ethnic decor and costuming to meat market to school supplies and London novelties to the really nice lady on the corner selling candy. By the second time that I visited SBM vendors were greeting me as if I were an old friend. Invited in to have tea with the butchers who wanted to hear "my story". ..offered a free piece of candy to brighten up my day by the candy lady. Really nice down to earth people. The most memorable vendor, and a fella with great life stories is the man selling London souvenirs and knick knacks at the very end of the market. Truly touched by his kindness and the most interesting things to share. If you take the moment to listen and experience, this place has much to offer! The market is located conveniently just off the tube station, with of course the same name... And just down the street from a rather large indoor mall. After a morning of shopping at the outdoor market one can walk up a couple of blocks to the shopping mall for nice air conditioned convenience and more shopping. My favorite Italian restaurant adjoins the shopping mall for a comfortable place to hang out and grab a bite. That is if you are still hungry after sampling foods at Shepard's Bush... Which by the way, has the most delicious falafel you'll ever have, ever!

I love Shepherd's Bush Market. So this is quite a biased review. The market proffers almost every ware imaginable. I needed a suitcase at short notice; I popped to the market and got a very cool, practical and cheap suitcase. I needed a hat for a wedding, and lo and behold, there was an incredible selection across several stalls for a fraction of the department store price. This is why I adore the market. It has possibly everything you will ever need from fish and falafel to fashion and footwear and the price is almost always negotiable. So get your haggling hat on and get bartering.

This is a market with all & all, it has various and plenty of shops, if it is food you are looking for or trying to buy your 5 a day fruit and veg, breakfast, lunch, dinner they have it. It has the new market and the old market, they are both nicley laid out but the easiest to go through is the old one as it is in aisle design making it easier to go through and helps not to miss any shop. The market stocks a wide range of different culture food. It is within easy reach from station and buses. Pick up your fresh fish, beef, lamb from there. And most of the sellers are quite pleasant. It sells fabrics, clothes, suitcases, music, freshly made popcorn, shoes the list is endless.

I always visit s'bush market for my makeup and costume jewellery,theres a stall at the end of the new side called kiss & makeup where i get my branded makeup really cheap,i also get my costume jewellery from them and they do exellent copy perfumes,ud never know the difference. And the girls who work there are quite giddy always friendly & helpful.

This market seemed to focus on fresh meat and vegetables, Middle Eastern/Asian-type home goods, butcher shops, and some other odds and ends, so it was a little bit of an odd mix. I used to live in Jordan, and it reminded me of the older downtown part of the city. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but there were not any shops or stalls that were really relevant to my interests, which is why the lower rating.

What an entertaining place! Lot of foods, drinks, shops, ornaments and all types of treatsto keep people of all ages busy! Perhaps the best part of the Shepherd's Bush was the big restaurant space with plenty of different foods. It is oneofthe place where the entertainment that arefull of tunes for hours. The environment is awesome,when you go here you were experience a happy, joyful feeling. It is a place you must go if you are in London.

Havng grown up in the East End and now living in Westbourne Park- the good 'ole London market has always been nearby. Portobello Market is now my local market and I love the mix of one-off clothes, vintage stalls, fruit and veg and surrounding boutiques. Shepherds Bush Market reminds me a lot Dalston's Ridley Road Market- these markets are great for ethnic foods (anyone for a plaintain, yam or mango?) and also fabrics. If I was clothes designer I'm sure I'd love this market more than I do but for me it lacks the clothes element that Portobello has. Portobello may not have as many ethnic food stalls but it more than makes up for it with the variety of stalls. If I want to get soem Wet Indian fruit and veg I can always pop to Kilburn or Harrow Road. The market is OK if it's on your doorstep but I have no reason to go Shephers bush solely for the market.

Been here before just to look and accidentally ran into one of the best lunch spots. We stopped at The Grill Master and had the deluxe falafel sandwich, wrapped in a delicate pita, with eggplant, pickle and peppers. So far the best falafel sandwich I have ever eaten.

This market really does sell everything and for cash the price drops...phones get chipped here,american trainer shop next to a falafel stall next to the pet shop...it's worth a look just for the vibe,smells,sights and sounds...the fruit and veg guys at the entrance have been there for donkeys years,busy on a saturday morning.

Falafel Hut 49 Shepherds Bush Market If you enjoy middle eastern cusine then you must try the Falafel Hut . The falafel sandwiches are fantastic and the fried fish is so tasty. Once tried you can't resist to go back!

Nothing fancy about this market, but it's got so much to offer. I went recently on a specific mission for haberdashery. Oh, the options! Lots of stalls had things on offer. I found zippers galore at one little spot with prices that nearly made me weep with joy (12 zips for less than the usual shop price of 2 or 3!). Such a fun place to explore.

One of my favourite London markets. Not for what it sells, but for the atmosphere and the layout. On the surface it's a long street connecting Uxbridge Road and Goldhawk Road with shops along the sides. The shops themselves are like big market stalls, selling everything from fresh fish, to fabric. But towards one end, the road splinters off into a winding network of tiny narrow alleys. It feels like being in the souks in Morocco. The market sells music, kitchenware, clothes, fabric, toys, household goods etc etc. Some of my favourites include a brilliant falafel shop, a man that sells nothing but foam sponge and a very colourful character who sells plants.

One of the few real, every-day living markets left in London, Shepherds' Bush market is worth a visit. With stalls selling Arabic delights, West Indian fare and everything in-between, there is definitely a bargain to be found! Positioned between Goldhawk Road and Sheperds Bush tube stations (Hammersmith and City line), it is easy to find and handy for the shopping. It sells lots of cheap clothes, household goods and groceries. The butchers are good and there is a falafel stall to die for! Venture deeper into the market and you can bargain for the best deal!

Shepherds Bush market is a strange little place. It is hardly the Portobello's, Spitalfields or Camden's of this world, but it has a very unique bordering on dubious atmosphere. But heading into the midst of the stalls it can feel like entering a kasbah, with narrow walkways between stalls loaded with all varieties, from kitchen equipment, cheap toys, clothes, falafel, mobile phones, meat - a mixture of sights, colours, noise and smells. My favourite part of this market is the wide variety of fabric stalls, this trend continues into shops on Goldhawk Road. I'm not sure why this market has become such an authority on fabric, but you can get all kinds here in every colour, which while mostly serving the Asian residents, has also become a secret treasure of numerous fashion students and those in the know.

Very good for specialist stuff (echo the comment about carribean food!) nicely located and lovely for just having a bit of a wonder round

It really grows on you. As a textile designer and a student it was THE place to find everything I needed, foam, threads, fabrics, toys, sawing kits, marbles, hats, peanuts, ribbon, reggae, falafels! At one point or another in my three years studying the above, all served a purpose. The falafels, were, are and always will be the best! Mr. Falafel, green and yellow hut, one day after a trip to Canada I decided to try this new and exotic cuisine. For only £2.50 I got a medium, extra hummus, extra lettuce, no pickle cucumber, with chilli sauce. Not only was I a fan, so was my husband and my flatmate. Plus everyone else who worked at the BBC, long queues at 1pm, but anytime is good for falafel. Due to inflation they are now .50p more expensive but it's ok. As a regular and a lover of the food I don't care. They are now moving to a space inside the market and I'd like to think I had a little to contribute to that expansion.

The best place in London for Caribbean food and purchases. You can find all kinds of clothing at cheap prices, electricals, fruit, veg and lots more. This market hasn't been spoilt by visitors. they have great food stalls/cafes with fabulous food at affordable prices. the permanent shops under the arched are like Aladdin's Cave, full of thing you never realised you'd neeed. Easy to find just a short walk from the tube, lots of welcoming smiles and a buzzing atmosphere.
