"This restaurant has become one of the most talked-about addresses for affordable and delicious fresh pasta, so it’s hardly surprising there’s always a queue out of the door. The project was originally started by chef Marcio Shihomatsu, an aficionado of Italian cuisine, with his home delivery service. Following on from the success of this, and the arrival of chef Bia Limoni to run the kitchen, they opened a restaurant where handmade delicacies are now created daily. The compact interior features an open kitchen, where you can watch pasta being made, enhanced by a pleasant terrace for a relaxed lunch or dinner. The menu is full of excellent options, but the house speciality is the delightful agnolotti di agnello (pasta filled with lamb braised in white wine) with a butter sauce and mint oil – simply divine!" - Michelin Inspector

The 35 Best Restaurants in São Paulo, Brazil | Eater

"Marcio Shihomatsu, the executive chef and founder of Shihoma Pasta Fresca, worked on his pasta skills at Italian restaurants in Canada for years and spent time in Italy to learn all the ins and outs. In Vila Madalena, his no-frills, garage-like restaurant creates traditional recipes with hints of modernity, like the cappellacci stuffed with polenta and braised pork knuckle or the agnolotti with chicken liver pate and sauteed mushrooms finished with butter and wine. For the purists, there are also classics such as amatriciana and beef lasagna on the menu." - Rafael Tonon

Very good pasta place. Creative choices of home made pastas. Young and dynamic environment and good service. We shared 4 different pastas and a steak tartar. Also had chocolate mousse for dessert. You need to reserve prior to arrive as they are well packed. Wine list was a bit limited .

Great spot, definitely not the usual “pasta place traditional house ” vibes, which is common in São Paulo; it’s very modern and open with outside sitting and inside (my rec) that has an open kitchen with a mirror that lets you see the fresh pasta being made. Cocktails, food and SPECIALLY the service were superb. Spend the night asking our waitress (thank you Lia!) for recommendations, pairings of food and wine and cannot recommend enough that you ask the staff for extra plates so you can try more dishes :) the menu is seasonal however, the dishes with braised meats are a hit aways ;)

Delicious Pasta and Great Atmosphere This place serves incredibly light and flavorful pasta, with the filled varieties made fresh right before your eyes—thanks to a clever mirror setup. The staff is attentive, and the ambiance is welcoming and pleasant. A word of advice: make a reservation to avoid waiting in line, as this spot is popular for a reason!

This place has some of the freshest pasta I have ever tasted in São Paulo. I ordered the carbonara and it was delightful. I only wish the portion was a little bigger. Oysters tasted fresh and light. The drinks are very well crafted--the cachaça with basil syrup is something I have never tasted and it was very flavourful. Service was excellent and knowledgeable to recommend what drink to pair with food.

Great experience! The name sounds japanese, but the food is authentically Italian. Many different options, from traditional to fusion. Be prepared to long wait

Spectacular handmade fresh pasta 🍝 The starters we tried (bread and cucumber (?) salad) were amazing as well. The only dish that was a miss for me was the Nutella (?) bread, as the texture was a bit dry and the flavors flat. But apparently it’s one of their signature desserts. Overall would 💯 recommend this place for pasta. I think it’s a great lunch spot. You can also buy the fresh pasta home.

Came in for lunch with friends on a cold Friday afternoon and left feeling good about the place. Rather small but interesting menu — as appetizers, we had the fish crudo and the straciatella with celery and green apple. Both great but small portions to be shared. Pasta wise, my choice was excellent, with anchovy sauce and pistachios. Service was great all around. Worth the visit.

Absolutely delicious handmade pasta. We had two pasta dishes (the spaghetti with pistachios and the agnolotti) and although both were delicious, the spaghetti was the favourite. The crudo appetiser was zingy and refreshing. The only critique was the tiramisu - it looked so promising, but was made of sponge cake as opposed to your traditional lady finger biscuits which completely changed the taste and texture of it. Food was incredible aside from this and the service was fantastic!
