Shin Hollywood is one of my most favorite restaurants of all time. I live local and have been a customer for several years. Five stars every single time. The place has style, charm, grace - oh, and incredible sushi and ramen. The lovely owner, Tim, grew-up in Japan and is at the top of his game. My 'go to' dish is the Fire Ramen with tofu, mushrooms, spinach, avocado, plus optional extras such as fresh garlic, shredded ginger, cherry tomatoes and broccoli. Not forgetting the luscious green tea and spicy garlic edamame on the side. Don't hesitate, and don't be swayed by the small location. It's absolutely terrific and punches well above its weight. Awesome.

Google
Nice place, with parking! Menu has what you would look for in a Japanese restaurant, sushi, Ramen, etc. Staff is friendly, rocking tunes playing. Bento box for dinner was good, not great. A bit pricey, but everything is now-a-days.

Google
Our food was absolutely incredible! My fiancé got the chicken curry and I got the ghost dip, both were excellent and delicious choices. The food was so flavorful and authentic! Our server Madelyn was so helpful and gave us great service! Truly an amazing place to go out and eat with friends and family! A must stop in Hollywood!

Google
High hopes for this local ramen spot. Always prefer to support small and local. $5 adder for a piece of pig fat in my take away ramen. Broth was surprisingly bland. Better luck next time - I hope. Shin not for the win.

Google
Definitely not coming back for the moment! Old Shin Ramen was better. Staff needs to be more energetic also the ramen bowls are not the same as before. I was really happy to hear they were back but now i’m very disappointed of the come back. My husband did order along with my son but the waiter somehow someway did not put my husband order in and he never got his food. I choose not to eat because they were out of some ingredients. Edamame did not taste the same (spicy garlic) they taste more like(sweet garlic) and At this time, I am not returning to Shin Ramen. The previous establishment was superior. The staff’s energy has diminished, and the ramen bowls are not comparable to their former state. While I was pleased to hear that they had reopened, I am deeply disappointed by their current performance. My husband ordered along with my son, but the waiter inadvertently omitted his order, leaving him without his meal. Unfortunately, the restaurant was out of some ingredients, and the edamame was not the same. It tasted more like sweet garlic and was watery. Perhaps I will consider giving them another chance in the future. However, this recent experience has left me highly unsatisfied. very watery. Maybe in the future ill give them a try again. Very upsetting of the experience!

Google
Grand reopening! I ordered the baked salmon roll and miso soup. Great taste, my only criticism is that the salmon wasn’t fully baked. I’m fine with that just different from my expectation. I’ll order again and ask for it to be fully baked. Looking forward to eating my way through the menu.

Google
The service here was great. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the good was so-so at best. The calamari was good. However, the ramen noodles were a bit tough. The tonkatsu ramen broth lacked much flavor. The bluefin tuna sashimi were thin strips of rather limp fish. There's a small, free parking lot out front which is much appreciated, but the restaurant itself is kind of in a slightly dingey strip mall. There were also a bunch of mosquitoes that bit us, as we were sitting outside. All in all, not the most comfortable dining experience.

Google
This place is fabulous! Was having a late 🌃 night stroll along Hollywood Boulevard with my sweet 💗 and decided to get some 🍣. Did a quick Google search and discovered this nice little gem on the corner of Hollywood/La Brea. We were immediately greeted by several of the staff and seated at the 🍣 bar (my sweet 💗 likes to see her food preparation done in front of her...she makes🍣 at home so she likes to pick up techniques by observing). The menu is extensive and the food is absolutely delicious. The the portions are generous and the fish is fresh. I highly recommend this place 💫.

Yelp
Can't say enough about this place. The sushi was fantastic. The appetizers were spot on. The service was outstanding. Great job Olga. And I am a little shocked about other reviews. There were a few about a 20% gratuity added on and that is not the case at all. Such a great couple that own the place. The story is fantastic. If you get a chance to see some Magic I am sure you will see the special part of this restaurant that everyone needs to see! Just ask if Tim is around for a magic trick!!

Samantha Z.

Yelp
They got rid of their lunch menu and the happy hour is only for drinks and this place already seemed pricey ish before then so def knocking off a star for this But waitress is super nice Plus 2 for one drinks of any kind for happy hour is a plus But I do wish they had fruitier cocktail drinks, very small limited drink menu :/ The get well soon chicken ramen is good though This is a hard review and usually would've given it 4 stars at the very least but because of the rising prices, and limited drink menu and even though they have a bar they can't make any other drink other than the few they have then I have to knock down 2 stars sadly because I really did like my waitress a lot

Yelp
Service was friendly and attentive. Infused with technology and fun in their table side service, which adds value to the whole dining experience. Before I walked in, I presumed this might be a place for beers and drinking. Then I was surprised and satisfied with the quality of food and it's delicious flavor! Good bang for your buck too. It's the new management and obviously they are not only an enthusiast for high-tech, but also a creative brainer! Love the Ghost Dip and their nigiri combo -- Fresh and quality fish on top of the fancy way that the sushi and nigiri are delivered by a robot There is private parking in the plaza. Another reason to go for when you visit Hollywood! 鬼才沾麵~ 很有創意哦!握壽司的部分也處理得很好;我喜歡他米飯少少,但魚肉的很新鮮,醬汁不會搶味,整體很平衡。

Yelp
Shin never disappoints, and today marks my 10th official check in, and maybe 100th visit over 8 years, so I've I've proudly earned the title "Duke of SHIN," an official Yelp designation, signifying more than just regular patronage, some may say I might be an addict of their quality ramen and sushi, but no intervention needed yet! Starting off, their innovative approach includes a robot that delivers sushi-- always fun to watch. The ambiance is ever-improving, contributing to an enjoyable experience every time. The staff consistently provides top-notch service paired with exceptional food. Tim, the owner, has a soft spot for regulars. Show your support, and he's sure to treat you well. Sometimes, I swing by just for a beer and an appetizer when in the area. Speaking of conveniences, the "Hollywood Shin" app is fantastic for takeout or delivery orders. It offers points, free appetizers, and other perks. Plus, if you work in Hollywood, mention it to Tim for some extra special bonus.

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
There's limited parking around this restaurant. We walked so it wasn't an issue. Servers are friendly and attentive, they give you hot towels to wipe your hands which is cool. Pesto pasta - 5/5 the texture of the noodles are firm which I love and the pesto sauce goes well with the noodles Crispy rice spicy tuna - 3/5 the extra crispiness on the rice felt a little off but flavor was good Double spicy yellowtail - 4/5 this roll was super yummy. Perfect for those who love hamachi. I would take the garnish off cuz it didn't add much to it. Vegetable tempura - 4/5 comes with 2 pieces of shrimp, carrot, zucchini, and pumpkin, lotus root. Everything was great but the lotus root was a bit too firm making it hard to chew.

Jade N.

Yelp
Honestly one of my favorite places in hollywood! Parking- they have a small private lot in the front which is super convenient if you can score a spot otherwise it's all street metered parking. Service- one of the reasons I'll always be a regular customer because their service is attentive and friendly! Their staff is truly amazing and a rare thing nowadays especially in La! Food- soooo sooo good!! If you love sushi this place is a hidden gem!

Raegan N.

Yelp
I gave it another shot. Met my girlfriend here on a nice rainy day. Always love the sushi. It's very fresh. Tried the shrimp and vegetable tempura again and it was perfect. I do love the buy one get one free beer & hot sake at happy hour, and the ambience is top-notch. Now if they would just add some kind of food to the happy hour menu, I would be back more often than twice a year. Allandra was our server & she was great!

Naomi W.

Yelp
I've lived across the street for 8 months and finally got around to trying this spot out! I am extremely impressed as I got takeout and the quality was still top notch. Ordering online was fast and easy and they even have a rewards program! What I got: Pork bun 9/10 - very tasty, good cut of pork, a little too much mayo for my liking Spicy tuna roll 10/10 - very fresh and good portion. Delicious! Tonkotsu shio ramen 9/10 - amazing flavorful broth that isn't too salty. Good size cut of chashu. Loved the thick noodles. Seasoned egg was perfectly flavored and cooked well. Just wish the toppings portions were slightly larger. Parking is limited but lucky me I can walk over. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Nami A.

Yelp
Solid ramen (definitely not traditional Japanese, though) and plenty non-pork based choices. The parking is a bit of a gamble, since they share it with quite a few other businesses, but we managed because we came during slow dining hours. Their takoyaki is SUPER crispy and they keep their hot sake in a water bath at your table to maintain its temperature. The restaurant itself is pretty clean (I think they've renovated quite a bit, based on previous reviews), and the service is efficient.

Mike L.

Yelp
It was easy to make a reservation on Open Table for Shin and when we got in on an early Saturday evening, it was not too crowded and the service was excellent from the moment we walked in. We were greeted and as soon as we sat down, warm hand towels were offered to wipe our hands which was a nice touch. The service was super friendly and attentive and quick. The food was really excellent and reasonably priced. There are TVs within view of all the seats which were also nice for sports fans who don't want to miss a game too. We loved our experience and would definitely want to come back again, just check these pics out for the mouth watering goodness we had! ----TL;DR---- PROS: awesome service, great food and large selection, easy to make a reservation CONS: limited parking (but we walked so it was not a big deal) BOTTOM LINE: great place for a variety of tastes for everyone. The yakitori was spot on and the sushi super fresh.

Shy T.

Yelp
One of my favorite ramen spots, the place is very good. It's a small and cozy spot with limited parking being one of my least favorite things about but somehow I always manage to find one. Reservations are a thing here, the service is always good, food is delicious and I always make it a point to stop by when I'm in the area.

Paul B.

Yelp
Very sad that this place has closed. It was super special. Bon voyage to Tim and the gang - you will be very sorely missed. Big love.

Cathy F.

Yelp
This place is closed. We went back tonight but found a sign on the door "closed for ever"! The staff at the pizza place next door wasn't helpful when my husband tried to find out what happened, while being disappointed I don't blame that staff because it's obvious that we were not interested in pizza at that time Does anyone know what happened?!

Kristen S.

Yelp
Devastated to learn Shin has permanently closed. Thanks for the many years of late nights and laughs

Jasmine V.

Yelp
I came here with a group since we were in the area. There is a small parking lot with plenty of spots available. We didn't have a reservation and we're able to just walk in without waiting on a Saturday at 7:30pm. For appetizers, we got the seaweed salad and the popcorn shrimp. The seaweed salad was tasty, but it was quite watery. The popcorn shrimp was crispy and good. For my entree, I got the Shin ramen which is half pork and half chicken broth. I thought it was okay - I prefer a richer broth. The chasu was sliced too thin for my liking. The ramen comes with green onions and wood ear mushrooms, and then you can pick 2 extra toppings. I got the soft boiled egg and the fireball sauce. The yolk of the egg tasted off, so I discarded it before it was mixed into the ramen. The fireball sauce was good, but I didn't find it to be spicy even after dumping all the sauce in. The food was okay, but the service was good. Our waiters were quick and friendly.

Rebecca M.

Yelp
I didn't even think I liked Ramen before I tried Shin for the first time in 2017! Their house-made broth and noodles changed my mind, and I became a full-fledged ramen-head. Shin has continued to up their game over the years, survived the pandemic, and expanded their offerings - and they don't serve anything unless they're REALLY good at making it. So, yes, fight for parking and elbow your way into this tiny little strip-store restaurant and have some spicy ramen.

Yeni A.

Yelp
Wonderful sushi, excellent service, great atmosphere. We went there with a large party and every order was great, fast service and they were super happy we were there. They do have a happy hour I'm most likely to go check out and will report back.

Dakota M.

Yelp
Holyyyy wow. I'm a huuuge sushi fan/general foodie, and I haven't said 'wow' this many times during a meal in a looong time. Favorites: the salmon nigiri was amazingly smooth, the Madelyn roll with salmon, avocado, cucumber, crunchy, tuna, ponzu, green onions.. I'm honestly not even a ramen fan BUT- the Ghost Dip. Speechless. Thick noodles with a touch of truffle, original broth but with added cream and mushroom..the flavor, the richness..I cannot suggest it enough. I still don't really like ramen, but this isn't even in the same LEAGUE as "ramen". Oh, and it comes with a marshmallow torched table side?! Bonus point for the little "ready to order" light up cubes on the table, and lighting quick service!

Genevieve H.

Yelp
I came here a few years ago, loved it, and came back to see if I was correct. Spoiler alert: I was. Starting off with the surprising entry: the New York cheesecake. This whole mini cheesecake with raspberry sauce (complete with raspberry chunks and whipped cream) is the only boyfriend I'll ever need. Moving on to the ramen section, the dipping ramens had the perfect amount of broth to noodle ratio, and the thick noodles pack a delicious addicting texture. Zebra dip: Garlicky, warm, and perfect with some onsen tamago and sweet corn, this ramen made a lovely creaming pairing with Chashu pork. Would get again. Shin dip: tangy, buttery, and inviting to the tongue, this pork and chicken combo ramen with sweet sauce was a beautiful end to a cold (relatively) Los Angeles day. Gyoza: warm, soft, and seasoned, these gyoza hold up against the likes of Morimoto and Din Tai Fung with ease and grace. Soju cocktails: refreshing with a heavy pour, great flavour I whole heartedly recommend this place, come hungry!!

Boris P.

Yelp
Awesome restaurant! The sushi is so fresh. The ramen is incredible. The staff and owner are super friendly. Cool rewards and robot delivery guys! Buy one get one free nigiri and sake through the holidays! I love this place!

Hart P.

Yelp
Definitely going to return to Shin again. Excellent Japanese food. Prepared fresh, dishes were served quickly and hot. I was real easy to order a large meal that filled the table with dishes. Maybe order one or two and then order more as the meal progresses. (I only have photos of half the food we ordered.) I was too warm to try the ramen and definitley will in the future. Instead, I went with a rice bowl. The chasu pork is excellent. The teriyaki sauce is much better balanced than many and flavors the entire bowl. The brocolli was steamed just enought o be tender and not mushy, a little sauce on the flowers was perfect for me. The takoyaki is very good however, I will get sushi as an appetizer next time to better match my tastes. When it comes to ordering, there is a cube on the table that changes color when pressed. It also alerts servers through a wristband they wear. Its pretty easy to stay private or get them to come to your table. Touchless payment is avaialbe ont he receipt with a QR code.

Sharlena T.

Yelp
Overall some good items but on the more expensive side for sure. The pictures make it look better than it tastes. Would skip some items and recommend others bc of that Recommend: The tonkotsu shoyu ramen, crispy rice w wagyu Skip: yakisoba, yakitoris, crispy rice w spicy tuna The ramen was sooo flavorful and I was pleasantly surprised w how much flavor there was. Felt like a better ippudo with the thin noodles. Super savory and heavy in a great way that also fills you up. This is what helped bump the place to 4 stars for me For the crispy rices. The rice was super good and has a nice crunch while still have flavor. However the spicy tuna itself was a little on the lighter side. And for the price think its skippable. The yakisoba also surprisingly had less flavor than expected The yakitoris were pretty good but the portion was so small. Each stick is probably smaller than the length of your finger Would def try some other stuff on the menu though since the ramen was so good

Tami G.

Yelp
One kind of Ramen that is Gluten Free and lots of sushi options as well. Fun environment and awesome wait staff. We really enjoyed our meal here and I did not get sick! I think we were here for a couple hours too. Great spot! Thanks for Hosting us and reassuring me about the GF ramen options.

Brian T.

Yelp
I finally got around to trying the Yakitori. Wonderful. Fresh. Perfectly cooked. You simply must try it. Sit outside and enjoy the magic the create here.

Manny C.

Yelp
This is now my second time visiting. It's consistently delicious and on point. The yellowtail carpaccio is amazing and the seared albacore as well. The treat is the rock cooked wagyu steak, melt in your mouth good. The robot delivering food was entertaining.

Matt L.

Yelp
Shim Ramen in Los Angeles was often praised for its unique take on traditional ramen. Their menu featured innovative flavors and high-quality ingredients, catering to both meat lovers and vegetarians. The cozy ambiance and attentive service added to the overall dining experience. Customers particularly appreciated their diverse selection of broths and customizable options. It's advisable to check the latest reviews for the most accurate and current information on Shim Ramen in LA.

Elaine N.

Yelp
We were looking for a dine in restaurant that is open late at night and we found this place! We went here around 10:50pm and there was no wait! We ordered the Kotteri Miso Ramen with Chashu Pork and Green Onions. Then I chose my topping choices for the ramen which was Ajitsuke Tamago (medium boiled egg), Sweet Corn, and Zebra Garlic. We also ordered a bento box which was basically a build your own type of bento. The bento box came with miso soup, salad, and rice and then the options we chose with the bento was Shrimp & Veggie Mixed Tempura, Grilled Chicken, and also Spicy Tuna as the sushi roll. When we got our food, I was a little confused about where the zebra garlic was for my ramen. Later, I found out that they didn't even bring out my zebra garlic until I was almost halfway done with it. The ramen still tasted good, but the chashu pork was kind of dry and hard. I've had better ramen at other restaurants before. They also gave us someone else's bento box order without realizing it at first (we noticed it was wrong because it had the wrong sushi roll). Eventually, they gave us the right bento box order and it tasted good and I loved the variety in the bento box! The Spicy Tuna sushi also tasted fresh and was full of flavor. The only thing I didn't like about the bento box was how dry the chicken was. I'd only recommend this place for the sushi. Most of the food tasted good, but it took a long time before we got the correct bento box order. When I tried the sushi that is part of the bento box, that was probably the best thing I tried in our entire order here that day!

Shanna K.

Yelp
We drove down from SF and were staying nearby. Being the big time sushi fans that we are, we stopped in for an early bite before heading to a show at the Bowl. We ordered the popcorn shrimp, crispy rice with spicy tuna and two rolls - A Madelyn and a T-Rex. Crispy rice is one of my favorite things and, for whatever reason, I don't see it on the menu very often in the Bay Area... so I'm extra happy when I find it. Everything else was also prepared well, fresh and tasty. I particularly liked that the rolls here were cut in to proper bite size pieces, also. It is a pet peeve of mine when sushi places make and cut rolls so large that you have to try to unhinge your jaw like a snake. No so here... They were perfect. Service was super fast and friendly as well. We would definitely come back next time we're in town.

Ivy C.

Yelp
Delish ramen, great service, and the owner, Tim is such an amazing guy. He really cares about his customers! He was even in the news recently, for saving an elderly customer from being robbed. Tim dove right in like a hero! His girlfriend helped as well. We need more people like them! Good food with a good heart.

Americus A.

Yelp
Enjoyed a late night dinner. Ordered the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen with Chashu, fried onions, and fresh grated garlic. Service was great. Enjoyed the ambiance. Limited free parking available in their shared lot. Free street parking nearby.

Brian B.

Yelp
I absolutely ADORE this place. I think it's the best sushi I've ever had in my life. I came here because I saw pictures of the Rock Shrimp Roll online and I just HAD to try it. It was SO GOOD! How many places serve sushi like this? With delicious shrimp sitting on top of the rolls? I certainly have never had it before, and I was blown away by how good it was. Next, the Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna Roll. OMG. The Rock Shrimp Roll is delicious, but this Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna Roll is OUT OF THIS WORLD. I'll go a step further and say OUT OF THIS GALAXY! So flavorful, so crispy - I'm gonna be dreaming about this roll for a LONG TIME. On a 2-day work trip to LA, I ate here the first night and fell in love. So much so that I came back the very next night for the same 2 rolls. Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, I had a wonderful experience both nights. I'm already thinking about the next time I can eat here again and how delicious it's gonna be!!!

Lucia S.

Yelp
I love Shin!!! So far, I've only tried the sushi and apps, but they're both great!!! For apps, the spicy shrimp tempura with spicy Mayo was sooo good! For rolls, I love the ones with bunch of stuff in/on em! We got the Madelyn, Natalie, James mulligan, spicy tuna rolls and they were all great! It's a little expensive for the sizes/quality, but overall I loved the food. They offer happy hour on weekdays but not on the weekend. They have a couple TVs with menu items, but they lot us change it to the basketball game which was fun! It's a casual ambiance but food is great!!! Hidden gem for sure!

Cashenée M.

Yelp
I heard a lot of great things about this restaurant from Hollywood locals. I figured I should try it out because they had happy hour. My favorite dish of the night was the fire ramen but the calamari was overcooked and tough. Also, the hamachi collarbone was very dry. However, the spicy garlic edamame, yellowtail jalapeño, albacore roll, and crunch roll were delicious. The service cube is was a great tool to request fast service. Nice environment.

Emmie H.

Yelp
I've been here a few times now and it's just so delicious. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. The service is fast and it's in a great spot for accessing shows and other events. They have parking and I appreciate their door as I came with a disabled friend - I had the shin dip ramen, pork gyoza and truffle fries. The gyoza is light and flavorful with a well seasoned dipping sauce. The truffle fries are crispy and perfectly salted. The noodles in the dip ramen are fantastic and I love the recommended toppings. We finished the night with the cheesecake which is so tasty.

Jubin S.

Yelp
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! One of my favorite sushi spots in LA and the best ramen spot. Quality has always been the best and consistent. Tim, the owner, really cares about his restaurant and is one of the nicest restaurant owners I've spoken to. Never had a bad experience here. Thanks Tim. -Forrest G.

Vivian Z.

Yelp
Came in for a lunch with 2 adults and 1 kid. They forced charge us 20% gratuity and 3% employee benefit charge. I never had such experience before! I can pay 20% gratuity if I wish, but I don't think the food or the service deserves that. The food was okay but the ramen was really a small portion for $20. The most important you can't force people to pay 20% gratuity for a small party and for lunch!!! Update: It's true today is a holiday. We really appreciate the hard work for the servers, and we would like to pay a reasonable amount of tips but without obligation! Also I need to mention this place is already overpriced compared to other Japanese restaurants, and I never heard anything called employee benefit charge! It's the owner's responsibility to pay more benefits to his/her employees not the customers!

AJ Ajdah G.

Yelp
Late night ramen craving? Shin is open for you! First off, the service here is phenomenal. The two ladies who served us were so friendly, attentive & very knowledgeable with the menu. Shin's menu is filled with many food options to satisfy your craving... but definitely at a costly price for just an "ok" taste. I ordered 2 ramens and a spicy tuna bowl which came at a whopping $70+ because after 10pm, 20% mandatory gratuity is added to your bill. Understandable! But $23 for 1 bowl of ramen? I don't know about that. The spicy tuna bowl lacked taste, it was very bland. Usually the spice added to spicy tuna brings out the flavor of the fish without the need to dump soy sauce and sesame oil on it. Both ramens were okay, but they were served warm which threw me off. This could be because we showed up an hour and a half before closing... but it may have made the taste better if it was served hot. I upgraded to pork belly instead of chashu for a few extra bucks, which I don't know if I even got because the pork belly looked a lot like chashu and I only got one slice. Toppings for the ramen cost extra... which was interesting because at other ramen stops, the ramen usually comes with set toppings. What was more bizarre was that I had to pay for pickled ginger. What I did appreciate was that you could basically customize your ramen. Pick the noodles, pick the protein, then pick the toppings and add it all into your choice of broth. Ultimately, with the few selections of late night Japanese cuisine at 1am, it was an "ok" choice however, I have had better at an affordable price.

Sam K.

Yelp
Food was great. But was not aware they add 20% tip after 10 PM and 3% employee benefits automatically. Wish they post it conspicuously. $60 for 2 x ramen bowls.

Brandice B.

Yelp
I'm so sad to learn my favorite ramen spot closed. I wanted to go tonight. Anybody knows what happened and if they will reopen elsewhere? Thank you to Tim for always making us feel welcomed and serving delicious food. The vibes were unmatched and forever will be missed.

Me C.

Yelp
Food was very good, but portions are small and quite pricey. Also, my $30+ Cod had A LOT of bones in it. Sushi: Toro 9/10 Albacore 9/10 Salmon 8/10 Beef and Asparagus 8/10 Baked Cod 9/10 (except bones in it) Cucumber Salad 8/10 Rice 8.5/10 Teriyaki sauce 9/10

Jackson F.

Yelp
Shame this place has closed down. The fire ramen was the best ramen in town. Hopefully they pop up somewhere else close

Andy C.

Yelp
I saw all the amazing reviews for this place and decided to stop by for a quick lunch. The service was ok but I ordered a coke and our waiter completely forgot. I used to work in food service so I'm usually forgiving but we were literally the only people in the restaurant at lunch time. The sushi quality is also just ok. One of the fish they chose for the sampler smelled way too fishy to be fresh. It left a bad taste. They do give you a mountain of ginger and wasabi though so I could easily cleanse the palate. Probably not coming back.

Arron B.

Yelp
I am fortunate to have been able to be here on the last day before they close. The service was amazing. Tim, the owner is a friendly and inviting person that will make you want to follow him to the next shop. The food was great. I had the fire ramen and wouldn't change a thing.

Noah B.

Yelp
I ordered takeout from this place and everything I tried was delicious! I highly recommend the Tornado roll, it's very flavorful! The spot is really cool as well, with nice lights and really cool futuristic wooden doors. Go give SHIN a try :)

Anna B.

Yelp
It's so overpriced that no one ever is dining in there. Like the whole place is completely empty every time I pass them by. So I guess there's no ambiance. I've decided to give it a try as I live right by but I regretted I did. This is what $35 will get you in Shin. Like 2 smallest rolls with mediocre quality fish. I was shocked tbh. I took it to go but still tipped em $5 guess not enough to at least offer me some water while waiting. I have no idea how places like this survive.

Mas H.

Yelp
Amazing sushi and service They open late so it's convenient Highly recommend for sushi fans

Sebastian H.

Yelp
I went here during my recent Hollywood stay. The staff is super friendly, even when you show up around midnight. I had the Brussels sprouts and the pork belly teriyaki and both were really good. The rolls are prepared fresh on demand and delivered by a robot, kinda funny! I can totally recommend the restaurant , and again, the staff was so super friendly

Tammas W.

Yelp
So sad that they've closed. Shin was my favorite ramen spot in LA. Nowhere else came close in this area of the city. A true gem :(

Yelp
This little restaurant had been on my ramen list for a while and glad I was finally able to try it out. Went there a colder evening, so the weather was just right for getting some hot noodles. The staff was very quick and attentive, checking in at just the right times. We got our food relatively quick, which was piping hot and ready to eat. We had ordered agedashi tofu, spicy edamame, some sake and of course, ramen! I went with the namesake "Shin Ramen", as you should always go for a ramen restaurant's version of tonkotsu ramen. This one definitely hit all the right marks. Creamy broth, perfectly salty with hints or rich pork flavor! Best of all the chashu was wonderfully seared, with a tenderness that made it just melt. I highly recommend this place to any and all ramen lovers!

Yelp
Super disappointing to pay for chopsticks. Pick up The order double verify it had chopsticks then get home and open the bag and find out I'm eating ramen with my hands. ‍ food smells great though so just make sure they give you what you ask for.
