Ok, it's really rare that you find a Singaporean restaurant in the US that sells hokkien mee, or even better, ngoh hiang (which they call "Five Spice Roll" for familiarity reasons, I suppose), so this is already an interesting place to go to alone for that reason.
It's hard to not compare their dishes to what I am used to back home, but hopefully this will be understandable for other Singaporeans curious about this place.
The satay was pretty good, though the peanut sauce definitely could be a bit stronger in flavour.
The ngoh hiang was excellent, fried perfectly crispy, not too oily, and not too salty.
The hokkien mee definitely could pass for an average hokkien mee place back home in Singapore, which, to be clear, is _really_ high praise.
And finally, we tried the laksa, which, while definitely not like a traditional laksa broth, had its own take on it (not sure if it mixed a bit of assam fish curry stock in there or something), but it still tasted good, just definitely a little different from what traditional laksa would be.
Overall? I'm _very_ impressed. I've lived in quite a few parts of the US and I can say without hesitation that this is the best Singaporean/Malaysian-style restaurant I've dined at thus far. For non-Singaporeans though, be aware that just like back home, service is curt and prompt rather than overly-nice and fawning. Their menu pricing for the area is also fairly reasonable.
Try to dine in rather than takeout; you can't really treat hawker food like a Chinese-American takeaway; it's just not the same at all.
