"One-Michelin-starred and considered one of NYC’s best sushi restaurants, this eight-seat, $480 omakase spot in Manhattan focuses on Edomae-style sushi under chef Shion Uino, who has been running the kitchen since 2021. The intimate restaurant recently caught fire around 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, though no one was hurt. Around the same time, the Sushi Legend blog reported that Shion Uino was planning to leave after Wednesday, December 31, and he wrote on Instagram that he’ll “post regarding my activities” for 2026.
