Shmackin' Tacos - Review - Buckhead - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Most days, you can find this green food truck in an abandoned parking lot off Peachtree Road near Buckhead Theatre. During lunch, a crowd of suits and Ray-Ban-wearers swarm the truck. And we get the fandom. When you don’t have time for dine-in but want something better than a drive-thru, Shmackin’ Tacos’s Mexican street food staples get the job done. Mulitas are held together with thick globs of melty cheese, and rice is accompanied by beans swimming in a meaty broth that’s more like eating a hearty bean stew (it’s delicious). And the slightly sweet al pastor is the char-grilled winner of all the taco options. No tables means everybody sauces up their street tacos via a small condiment stand and devours them in their cars or back at the office." - Juli Horsford

I had 2 al pastor tacos, rice and a pineapple jarritos. Total was $16.34. Overpriced but decent food.

Amazing tacos!!! I just deducted one star for price. They’re crazy expensive but I guess for the location it’s marked up. Forgot the prices will update next time I come back. But might be the best tacos I’ve had in Atlanta

Noticed a food truck and decided to stop to see what it's hitting on. My Spidey sense once again did not fail me. Hector, The guy in the front taking our order was very chill and patient with us. Even had a conversation. Cool guy. I ordered the quesabirria tacos with consume and both was on point. The tacos were very delicious and authentic tasting. The consume was probably the best consume I've had in Atlanta period. Other consume I had tasted like oily water with no taste but theirs actually have some flavor to it. Will definitely be coming here again to try their tortas and would definitely recommend them to try if you're in the Buckhead area.

THEY ARE DIRTY JUST FAILED HEALTH INSPECTION The owner was very rude. My boyfriend got me some tacos last week on corn tortillas . I called to place a order I paid $65.00 via cash app & they made the tacos incorrectly . I was provided these flour tortillas with a whole bunch of onion & cilantro on them aint no way I could eat them . The OWNER was very argumentative & didn't not accommodate his crew mistake I will not be going back to either locations

The tacos were amazing. We stopped at this food truck after having a not so great experience at another place nearby. The food here was awesome. My only complaint is that I wish they had covered to-go containers. The food is served on open plates, so getting your food to go is a little difficult. Overall, great food.

Best spot to grab some fresh and tasty tacos in Buckhead 😀 a small side of pico de gallo is $1. Parking is free for the first 15 min, which is about the time it takes to order and receive it. It's on a main street, so proceed with caution when entering and exiting.

The steak sandwich and the elote were amazing! I spoke to some people that were having tacos and they said they were amazing as well. We'll be back for more!
