"Most days, you can find this green food truck in an abandoned parking lot off Peachtree Road near Buckhead Theatre. During lunch, a crowd of suits and Ray-Ban-wearers swarm the truck. And we get the fandom. When you don’t have time for dine-in but want something better than a drive-thru, Shmackin’ Tacos’s Mexican street food staples get the job done. Mulitas are held together with thick globs of melty cheese, and rice is accompanied by beans swimming in a meaty broth that’s more like eating a hearty bean stew (it’s delicious). And the slightly sweet al pastor is the char-grilled winner of all the taco options. No tables means everybody sauces up their street tacos via a small condiment stand and devours them in their cars or back at the office." - Juli Horsford
