All the Restaurant Openings to Know in Dallas-Fort Worth, April 2025 | Eater Dallas

"A playful Fort Worth concept that fuses ramen and Mexican street food, launched by owner Francisco “Paco” Islas in a former taqueria space. The menu mixes cross-cultural items such as kimchi quesadillas, chicken tinga dumplings, and a carnitas tonkotsu ramen, and the venue is complemented by a speakeasy next door for a more adventurous night out." - Courtney E. Smith

Even though they were out of half what we originally wanted, everything we ordered was delicious. The Chicken Pozole Ramen was a unique, standout fusion dish, and both the Brussels sprouts and Karaage were spot on. We had two great servers and an extra staff member that kept us well-attended to all night. We’ll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

Interesting fusion of Mexican and Japanese. I personally love anything Birria, so the Birria Ramen and the Birria tacos really hit the spot. The tacos could use more consomme for dipping so I just used the remainder of my ramem broth. All in all a filling meal and delicious too!

They just opened, so they are still working out the kinks in the service and signage, butI'm only gonna talk about the food. It was awesome. We got the pastor tacos and the donkatsu (breaded and pan fried pork cutlery) with molé. The molé was near the best I've ever had. The katsu and trompo pastor were delicious and perfectly prepared. We had the chicken karage appetizer which was delicious, but I would have liked it spicier. Paco, the owner and chef, is friendly and attentive, and a great chef. Price is reasonable. Give them a shot! Update: we just went back. Just as good! Got the tinga gyoza and a kimchi enchilada with carnitas. Service was great this time.

The food was hands down amazing. We were there on a Friday during lunch hour and there was only one server working the whole restaurant but there was never a hitch or issue in our service. Since the new concept is new the restaurant’s esthetic is still a work in progress which I understand fully. I’m excited to go back and try more of their other dishes. Everything we ordered was delicious and not one single complaint. They did an awesome job in their choice of fusion dishes and the food was definitely fresh.

We absolutely loved everything we got! Pozole, lo mein, and gyoza were all top notch and our waitress was knowledgeable and helpful! Hoping they get more publicity because it was very dead for a Friday evening.

This place is a great Japanese Mexican infusion restaurant. I had the birra ramen, and my man had the menudo ramen. Both were great. The flavors are great. The egg had a really great flavor to it i truly enjoyed the meal. The appetizers are also really good, definitelytry the Karage. I had the matcha paloma and the hibiscus sake sangria me tell you the bartender mixing the drinks did a great job the flavors don't clash she is great at what she does.

Really great experience, the food was excellent, a bit on the spicier side. Drinks and dessert are a must.

Very attentive service and amazing food! What a great fusion of Asian and Hispanic flavors. I got the Kimchi quesadilla with steak and it was phenomenal.

Yelp
We were sceptic of an Asian/Mexican restaurant however the food was delicious. The bar service was slow especially for the number of tables occupied. We will go back.

Yelp
We've been to Pacos before Shogun took over and you can tell they have made some minor updates (painting the walls, closing off some of the space to allow for another tenant and hanging samurai like art work). We walked as soon as they opened for dinner but still had to wait longer than expected between drinks, appetizers and entrees. I ordered the bao which came highly recommended! They were good! I loved the plating. My husband got the hot stone with wagyu which wasn't enough food even with ordering gyoza and edamame. The tinga gyoza were tasty but when we ordered fried, we thought they would be pan fried. Still good! The edamame were your basic plating with soy sauce and tajin. Overall service was decent. It was so hot inside the restaurant with barely any airflow outside of two ceiling fans on the opposite side of the room.

Yelp
Had really high hopes for this place but it's a hit or miss. We ordered the aguas frescas with boba and the fruit was sour! It had definitely turned and it showed. Thankfully the waitress returned them and didn't charge us. Turns out the fridge was broken Where they stored the drinks and fruit. Afterward made us nervous about ordering food but she assured us that the meat was in a different fridge and not affected. We ordered appetizers and food and it was delicious! One of the dishes my daughter did not like but for the most part it was good. Wish I could say this place was exceptional but was a hit or miss.below are the photos of the food.

Yelp
So many carbs it made me sleepy. The food was okay it lacked flavor within the food itself they used like the broth and toppings to be the flavor. Our waitress was very nice! Bless her heart but overall the place was cool just wouldn't go back again.

Yelp
Initially very interested in this place. Hoping for something in the ball park of Chris and John... this was not the case. My better half ordered the quesadilla which was decent and blended flavors well. The ramen on the other hand was a joke. Broth was similar to tap water unfortunately, noodles tasted stale.

Yelp
Please stay away. We had food poisoning. We went on a Saturday night and spent Sunday lay up in bed and we couldn't work Monday. We should have known something was wrong when Saturday at 5:30 the whole place was empty. We didn't appreciate the uniforms for the server as well. The server nail was to long that she could hold anything. Against health department rules. Her shirt didn't even cover her stomach. We order the Brussels sprouts they came out overcooked. We told the server she just oh. The birria soup the meat was inedible. The meat was all fat and salty and the drink was made not from a server. She was just following a recipe. How hard is it to make a margarita. This is Texas . Margarita town. Every bartender should know how to make it without a recipe.

Yelp
The service and the food is excellent! Loved i will be back such a dope place. And the ambiance is calm and the music is amazing!

Micheal R.

Yelp
I highly recommend that you try this place. We had the guacamole and Brussel sprouts to start with. For entrees we shared Shogun Birria, Wagyu Hot Stone Parrilla and Pork Carnitas Tonkotsu. All had a wonderful flavor that did not disappoint. We are going back, for sure.
