Best Restaurants in Sedona, Arizona | Eater Vegas

"This locals’ favorite brings a taste of the coast to the mountains of Sedona with a salmon mignon, an assortment of sashimi options, and tempura-battered avocado fries. Other favorites include the skirt steak with red chimichurri sauce, the pork chop with brandy-poached apples, and twice-fried chicken wings. The cocktails are also well worth a sip, with a variety of mouthwatering options like the white peach sangria, smoked blueberry sour, and espresso martini." - Jamie Phillis

The best brunch around ! I tried Shorebirds today for the first time and wow I was blown away. We started with the shoestring fries which was paired with ranch and their homemade ketchup and wow my group devoured them ! Then we got the hot cakes, chicken and waffles, classic breakfast and mushroom omelets. DELICIOUS ! everything tasted so fresh and was cooked to perfection. Also our waitress was fantastic, so kind and personable.

Stopped by for lunch. Terrific views of the red rocks right from your table. They also have an outdoor patio with great views and shade. I ordered the carne adovada y huevos: pulled pork with poached eggs, guacamole, cheese, pico, ranchero sauce over a tostada. This dish was delicious. The pork was tender and flavorful, the eggs were nicely done, the whole dish just worked really well together. Definitely worth trying!

My son had a Black Angus Burger. He said the best burger ever had! I had a Santa Fe style smoked pork shoulder. It's just a little bit too salty. But still tasty and tender. The staff was very friendly.

Atmosphere is nice, seems like they're trying. Food was very sub par- I would NOT order anything off the sushi menu. They're new, I hope...at least it appears that way. I'm happy to pay $$$$ for great food, but these price points are far too high for the quality of service and food. I'm sure they'll get better with time.

Shortbird – A Stunning Fine-Dining Experience with Unbeatable Views! Shortbird isn’t just a dinner spot—it’s a true fine-dining gem, offering incredible food, a breathtaking top-down glass panorama, and genuinely warm service. We started with the oysters (Misty Point)—so fresh, sweet, and briny that I would’ve ordered a full dozen if it weren’t my first meal of the day (I usually prefer warm dishes!). The crab cake was equally impressive, packed with real lump crab meat and minimal filler. For mains, the Lido Roll (a fusion dish I normally approach with caution) was fantastic—far exceeding expectations. The habachi was also perfectly executed. The waitress, I am so sorry that I did not ask her name but she is a very decent woman. Warm, serving efficiently, and providing good suggestions for where to tour ( we went to Jerome as she suggested!) Yes, prices lean toward the higher end, 104 for two of us. but the quality, presentation, and that unforgettable view make it worth every penny. A must-visit for a special night out!

Shorebird absolutely gets the "Sedona is amazing" halo effect. As you enter the city and drive through red rocks, right there on the main road is a modern chic American-Californian joint with wide views. It almost gives a crisp hotel bistro feel at a posh country club. Now all they have to do is serve somewhat great food and you score 5-stars. Well unfortunately, the kitchen has gotten too comfortable. The onion rings are completely character-less. The chicken wings are decent but just soaked in sweet syrup. Enjoyable but again, not living up to the atmosphere. Waffle & chickens - I guess the waffles were passable and the chicken had good crisp. But again, relies purely on the butter and syrup provided. I believe the ingredients are fresh. It's just that the kitchen has lost passion. Let's put it this way - the best thing that I tasted in all 5 dishes was the grilled cheese that accompanied the tomato soup and the roasted potatos that came with the egg fritata. On top of all of this, there is the price. Beautiful atmosphere, somewhat okay food, but extremely pricey. Again, they're priced like a bistro at a Ritz. If you are staying at Sedona for a few days, I guess you can pop in here. If you're just there for a day, Shorebird isn't worth the visit. You'll get similar food better else where around the country. I fully understand what Shorebird was designed for. Just need to put more character in their kitchen.

1st Atmosphere- spectacular views of the red rocks I think it’s Snoopy rock right outside the window I mean, but there is as soon as you walk into the restaurant the entire front of it faces the rocks 180°! There really isn’t a bad seat in the house. Next- Service- Rolando was awesome - totally engaged! Food was fresh and delivered in a timely manner giving us enough time to finish our amazing crab cakes! Then- Food!! Sub par? Are you kidding? The crab cakes were loaded with crab meat and were light and airy and melted in our mouths! They were outstanding! Period! I had the Ribeye and good gravy it was great! Medium - perfectly seasoned, juicy and delicious! Hubby had the Haddock Catch of the day… also outstanding -flaky and buttery! No, idk why anyone would say the food here was anything less than outstanding! We ate at 5:30 and it was just starting to fill up but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves… no, this restaurant was absolutely marvelous! Well done! PS- Drinks were perfect! Espresso Martini and Pricly Pear Margarita

We arrived right before dinner so we had a couple drinks and some appetizers until they transitioned. We got the fried avocado and crab cakes. The sauce on those were soo good. Definitely recommend the crab cakes! For dinner, our friends got steaks and they were cooked perfectly and served with the mushroom risotto. We got the short ribs and a sushi roll. The dishes were prepared perfectly. And the views were incredible from inside. I can only imagine the experience on the patio in warmer months.

Yelp
The service was incredible and the food memorable! And Eric was so wonderful ( even though we know he's gonna be fired for forgetting to tell us about the freshly flown in seafood) - ps: the key lime pie is sooo good! Thanks gentleman for a great meal!

Yelp
My husband and I spent a sunlit afternoon at Shorebird, and from the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. We were seated near the window, with that lovely view of Snoopy Rock peeking out--just the kind of calming scene you hope for in Sedona . Our server, Rolando, was absolutely delightful--so professional and kind. He suggested the Duroc Heritage Pork Chop as his top pick, and it truly delivered. Perfectly seared, tender, and paired beautifully with the Brussels sprouts and brandy-poached apples--a combination I'll be dreaming about for weeks. We also shared a starter of Avocado Fries, which Rolando described as "a must-have"--he was right! Crispy, creamy, and accompanied by a vibrant green goddess dressing . The atmosphere felt upscale yet relaxed, with modern decor and attentive staff handling everything smoothly . I wore a sundress and sandals and felt perfectly at ease. If you're in the mood for excellent service, a gorgeous view, and unforgettable flavors, Shorebird is a standout. Don't miss Rolando's recommendation--and make sure to ask for the pork chop!

Yelp
We visited Shorebird for dinner on a Friday evening, having made a reservation in advance. The interior was elegant and modern, with a nice-looking bar. For drinks, they didn't have any mocktails listed but the server informed me that nearly any cocktail could be made non-alcoholic, so I chose a Non-Alc Paloma. It was pretty good, although the grapefruit flavor isn't normally my favorite. For food, I ordered a Catalina Roll for myself, as well as Crab Cakes and the Spicy Tuna Eggroll to share with my friend. We also ordered a dozen oysters to split as a table which tasted fresh (although very small in size). The Catalina Roll was easily my favorite item of the meal! The real crab went great with the yellowtail and avocado, and the pickled red fresno chili gave it some nice flavor. The Spicy Tuna Eggroll was fine, but the texture was off. I expected the egg roll to be crispy, but it was all just chewy. And finally, the Crab Cakes weren't bad, but far from the best I've had. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall, worth the visit for the sushi alone.

Yelp
Shorebird is ideally located right in the heart of Sedona. The restaurant has a nice vibe and the food is certainly presented with care and thoughtfulness. Everything we tried was good, but the avocado fries were the star of the show. The braised short rib was super tender and had great flavor, and the salad was heavy! We left Shorebird very happy with our experience.

Yelp
Came after a hike at 11:30, it was during New Year's week so even though all tables weren't occupied it was felt hectic and short staffed, if took us 15 minutes of standing at the front before someone came to check our reservation and seat us. It also took awhile for someone to come by and take our order, by the time our food arrived we were already there for 40 minutes and hungry. Swordfish sandwich: In a very good way, reminded me of a fancy McD fillet o' fish, the brioche bun has a nice soft texture that made it easy to eat and the guacamole and napa cabbage complemented the grilled swordfish with a nice crunchy and soft combination with every bite. Chicken and Waffles: Very good, my wife ordered this but the whole family picked at it. Waffles were crispy on the outside and soft in the inside, much like the chicken. Whipped butter was fantastic and melted quickly in the waffles. Caeser Salad: So refreshing after not getting proper greens for a couple days. Overstuffed Deviled Eggs: Came with an insane amount of deviled yolk, more than double on top and more as a base to "glue" the halves into the plate. The deviled part had an odd taste and was slightly gray in color, I want to say too much lemon was used.

Yelp
We went for New Years late dinner so unfortunately it was too dark to enjoy the view. I was greeted promptly upon entering and since we had a reservation our table was ready immediately. Our server was very friendly and had some great recommendations. We started with the crab cakes, avocado fries and buffalo onion rings. All were delicious. For entrees we had the special which was halibut (fish was ok, parts were dry), Chilean sea bass was the best thing we ordered very flavorful on top of a bed of risotto; Duroc pork chop was good but did not come with any sides,; angus short rib was very tender but could have used more flavor. The pork adovada tacos was probably the second best as it had so much flavor. We were a large party of 7 so they did add 20% gratuity. They have a decent size parking lot so we were able to find parking.

Yelp
Shorebird is a very casual and relaxed place to dine, with beautiful views facing the red rocks. The service was quick, and the food was excellent--we enjoyed a fresh, delicious salad and a perfectly cooked halibut dish. A great spot for a laid-back, quality meal in Sedona.

Yelp
Food, Service and Cocktails were good. We went for dinner so we didn't get the great view. We have the Prickly Pear Margarita And the Mescal Margarita. Both good. The Cesar Salad and Hamachi appetizer were excellent. The cesaer salad had a nice lemon taste. It was a big portion. Big enough to share. We also had the Balboa Roll. It was good but nothing special. I would recommend the restaurant.

Yelp
Searched around for nice restaurant in Sedona so I decided to try this place. Looked like they had some nice variety of dishes.. So i made reservation week prior to coming down. I was not asked if I wanted to seat inside or outside when I made the reservation, so when we got taken out yo patio I was little annoyed. I don't really like to sit outside but since it had a nice view I decided to deal with it. But when the sun went down it actually got hotter . Waited few minutes to be sat because they ran out of the menu.. Ummm ok. Then we got sat and waited few minutes for the minus... Waitress was nice and attentive in the beginning. Drank wine all day so opted for water but it wasn't cold or had any ice.. Weird Ordered twice fried chicken wing and Buffalo onion rings. Nice presentation on both dish, but onion ring was on the soggy side. I know they drizzled buffalo sauce on it but expected to have some crispiness to it. Wings were pretty good, usually don't like sweet sauce but it had good flavor. Only downside is that had the sauce on top and bottom but in between there were no sauce. Chicken wings itself was not bad but bit on the blend side with no sauce. Main dish I ordered SRF Ribeyes. Snake River Farm brand which I never had, so I decided to try it. Also ordered Prime skirt steak. I know they were pretty busy but I waited and waited for the dish. Waitress came and dropped off steak knives. Then waited and waited. Watch other table get their dishes that ordered after us. No word from our waitress and she went MIA. She could have come over to let us know food was taking little longer then norm but nope.... Nothing. Waitress brings our dishes and no sorry it took a while, just dropped off the dishes and left. Dishes presentation was pretty nice like other ones. I looked at my Ribeyes and noticed it being pretty thin. Then I knew it was not going to be medium rare as I ordered. I rather have smaller thick Ribeyes than big thin Ribeyes. I cut a piece and took my first bite. It was seasoned nice and had nice char flavor but unfortunately it was more on the medium then medium rate. Skirt steak had nice flavoring and probably better dish than my Ribeyes. I'm assuming waitress told the manager I looked annoyed when the food came out so he came over to our table and apologized for the delay. He said the grill was backed up.. Ok it happens... I did tell the manager that my Ribeyes was medium and he apologized and asked if I wanted a different one.. Well I was not aboit to wait again so I said no I will eat it.. It still had pretty good flavor. Manager then said he will give us free desert for the little problems we had to deal with. For the first time in long time, I did not finish my Ribeyes, the last end was bit too tough from being over cooked to my liking. Then waitress took our plates and walked way. I was thinking I guess no dessert.. Oh well.. . But then she comes back to out table with bowl of sorbet with little whip cream and strawberry. Waitress said here is your free dessert for the issues we had with dinner. We said we were thinking about taking the dessert to go, she said I can bring you to go box. I asked the waitress what the dessert was and she said sorbet. I said I'll just eat it. So i didn't want it to go to a waste so I ate some. Waitress was nice enough to bring us to go box, she said in case I wanted to take it to go.. Thinking to myself who gives paper folding doggy box to go for sorbet Oh lordy. When someone say we will give you free dessert for our mistake, I am usually thinking we get at least some option as to what kind of dessert. Nope it made me feel like here's your free dessert so be happy and pay. I had high hope for this restaurant, it started off pretty decent but then went down hill from there. Don't know what happen to our waitress, she started nice but then pretty much ditched ya hf way through... Needless to say over all experience was very disappointing and I would never come back here again.

Yelp
We had spent a long girl's weekend hiking in Sedona and on the way back to the airport we decided to eat here. We were a group of 8 and they accommodated us beautifully at a table with an amazing view (but what viewpoint amazing in Sedona?) We were greeted and sat quickly. The service was impeccable, even with our large group. The food was beyond outstanding. There wasn't a disappointed person at the table! The drinks were also really good (except for the espresso martini). If I lived in Sedona it would be hard to keep me away from daily meals here!

Yelp
One of the best brunches I've had in recent memory. The view from the patio is stunning and it's also dog friendly! We ordered the Deviled Eggs, Avocado Fries, Crab Eggs Benedict, and Lemon Ricotta Hot Cakes. I took advantage of the Yelp check in offer for the free Avocado Fries and I'm so glad I did. The sauce paired with the avocado was perfection. I loved the Hot Cakes and the potatoes that came with the Eggs Benedict too. Our servers were wonderful as well. They checked in on us often and went above and beyond to provide everything we needed.

Yelp
Overall I would give this restaurant a 3 or 3.5 star First off, when we first arrived at the restaurant where there were obviously available tables, in addition to Yelp showing opening every 15 minutes. The hostess advised us it will be an hour wait for a table. Surprised, we asked her why and explained to her the availability online, but she insisted we put our name down and wait since there's a glitch in the system and online reservations were arriving. So, I told the hostess well I just put our name down online using Yelp and OpenTable with 15-30 minutes. We proceeded to sit at the bar to have a drink and order appetizers before moving to our table. The oysters- 5/5. Even though it was drenched in some kind of ponzu sauce, the oysters taste fresh and delicious. Oyster had a very mild flavor. Salmon nigiri- 4/5- fish was fresh, but the rice was the deduction. It was hard and the ratio to the fish was too much. Devils egg-2/5, for a basic appetizer you would expect shorebird to perfect this. The filling was not right, it was missing something, maybe dill or some pickle juice, and maybe some bacon bits that's not tough. CHILEAN SEABASS-2.5/5 for the price. At $52, you would expect a perfect meal, however, the fish was overcooked and needed additional seasoning. Also the risotto was hard The sushi- didn't try it... my partners meal :). But he noted it was okay. The ambience while enjoying our mediocre meal 5/5.

Yelp
Very good food. I liked the cleanliness and view of the Mesa. A gentleman that served us was extremely helpful.

Yelp
We really wanted to catch the red rock views from the patio area, but there were too many ants crawling around outside.. However, the restaurant inside had a nice ambiance also! The appetizers are subpar and slightly overpriced.. The brunch food is really good, and the entrees have a great combination of flavor. Our waitress was nice but a little inattentive at times when we needed her. Overall - I'm glad we had the chance to visit this establishment before going on our Pink Jeep Your!

Yelp
Everything tasted amazing! Service was fast and friendly. I will definitely come back!! I will be craving the perfectly tender adovada pork and the amazing sauce!

Yelp
We arrived in Sedona and were starving! Luckily we found Shorebird and it was the perfect time for brunch! Their brunch menu is served until about 3:30 pm and later at 4:30 pm it changes into a dinner menu. The brunch menu has several items to choose from outside an egg-based dish. But, I must say the omelet was spectacular! I truly enjoyed it along with the side of smashed potatoes. It is a large plate, which I think could be shared by two people. My boyfriend enjoyed his burger. The quality of the meat was great. Service was also kind and courteous. We felt very welcomed! The bright open windows give you a spectacular view of the mountains. Highly recommend a window seat! Pro-tip: Check in on Yelp for free Avocado fries - they were so good and paired with the perfect aioli.

Yelp
This spot is convenient to all in Sedona, good parking. The ambiance was nice without being too fancy. Nice wine selection, and the menu had something for everyone. Our server did a great job.

Yelp
LOL My friend and I are 3 time repeaters here at Shorebirds in Sedona. I had made Opentable 7:30 PM dinner reservations the first night of our arrival in Sedona which was conveniently located across the street from our hotel. We arrived in Sedona a little early, before we could check-in. We wanted to grab a drink. We found a bar, walked over to find it abruptly closed down, based on the notice on the door. I looked over and saw Shorebirds. I told my friend we were eating there that evening. We then just thought to sit at the bar, just in time for Happy Hour. It was great, the bar tender was very friendly, we ended up sharing a HH Jay Birds Chicken Sandwich and having a few beer. The atmosphere is very nice, both indoor and covered outdoor seating. The decor is bright and modern. Second time here we had dinner. We had a 7:30 dinner reservation which I would recommend. Upon arrival I noticed all the indoor seating was filled and our table was waiting for us. Jennifer our server was excellent. Very friendly and attentive. To note their Blood Orange Mezcalita's are fantastic. We ordered the Hamachi Crudo, a dozen Raw Oysters, Crab Cakes and the Duroc Pork Chop. All the dishes were excellent, from presentation to taste, everything fresh. My friend loved the Duroc Pork Chop! Third time we came, we were just to tired from sight seeing and since it so convenient to our hotel we opted to eat here again for dinner. I had made reservations earlier in the day... and yes again the place was filled. My friend had the Duroc Pork Chop again and I had the San Marzano Tomato Soup. Atmosphere: bright modern both indoor and outdoor seating. Service: excellent. Food: excellent.

Yelp
I enjoyed this spot and thought the food was pretty solid. I did come here starving, so that might have affected my taste buds. 1. Avocado fries: This is literally a fried avocado. Tasted good but price wise, it's nearly 20$ for 1 avocado. 2. Crab cakes: I liked these, came with two sizable cakes and a small salad on the side too. No complains here. 3. Lemon caesar salad: Simple and delicious, would recommend. It paired really well with the steak. 4. Ribeye: They cooked this really well, we were pleasantly surprised. Also the steak was a LOT bigger than we expected. 5. Carrot cake: A bit too much frosting but it was okay. I felt it was too heavy, but it did taste like carrot cake so there's that. The slice they gave us was HUGE. The waiter said it was his personal favorite!! I think if you love carrot cake, you'd enjoy this. I would recommend this spot for a dinner. It's pretty casual but definitely has great date night vibes. Food is solid and service is great. Also lots of drink options. I ordered the blueberry sour and thought it was yummy.

Yelp
Excellent lunch, with amazing views of the red rocks. Our group had breakfast burritos (and a vegetarian option), onion rings, and the chicken and waffle sandwich. Everything was wonderful and quick service!
google avatar

Yelp
The views from this place are immaculate, and the food is just as good! We had the chicken and waffles, and they were delicious! The chicken was perfectly cooked, and the syrup and buffalo sauce were very good as well.

Yelp
On our last evening in Sedona, my husband and I enjoyed dinner while watching the beautiful rocks glow red as the sun sets. The deviled eggs were really tasty while the Ahi Tuna Eggrolls were a little odd. The short rib tacos were seasoned well and tender. Great place to enjoy dinner while in Sedona.
google avatar

Brian J.

Yelp
Service was great. Atmosphere was calm and had a great view. Swordfish sandwich was very good - firm and not fishy. The apple slaw was a perfect touch. They key lime pie was also very good - perfect for sharing. The Caesar salad was a little lemony - but that's what it's called.

Yelp
Excellent food Presentation and tastes great! Dinner on a Thursday night is not too busy and parking is not a problem at all. Staff helped us make good choices of food. Casual Relax and elegant at the same time. Will visit when they open in San Diego soon!

George E.

Yelp
In Sedona and found Shorebird with breathtaking views of the gorgeous mountains. The restaurant was full but not over packed and you were not dining on top of others. We ordered the spicy tuna eggrolls. They were unique, good and had a great sauce. The Buffalo sauce onion rings with blue cheese were ok. The burger was perfectly cooked, moist and well seasoned. The beet carpaccio was delicious but needed a bit more dressing. Overall, a good stop in a very busy part of Sedona. The views are incredible. The food was good, but the ambiance is great.
google avatar

Narbe V.

Yelp
Stopped in for a bite to eat during lunch. The place was not busy and we were able to snag a booth. Food was on point. Felt like they used high quality and clean ingredients. No extra fluff. Everything had that homemade feel to it. No fountain drink machine so if you like your soda on tap they do not have that. Service was alright. They had a mix up with our check but we were able to get it sorted out.
google avatar

Lauren H.

Yelp
Delicious! We started with 12 oysters and they were so fresh. Then we tried the fried chicken and it was so good. Very crispy and the sauce was great. After that, we had the scallops and filet mignon. The scallops were cooked just right and the risotto was made very well! For dessert, we had the banana foster and key lime pie. The key lime pie was so good!

Yelp
My favorite meal in Sedona! I made reservations here for a Saturday night at 7 pm. My husband, sister, brother and I got here at 7 pm - we waiting for a couple of minutes before being seated. Our waitress was very very nice. We got waters and drinks. We ordered appetizers and main entrees at the same time. I got the blood orange margarita - I realized it had mezcal in it while ordering, and the waitress was super quick to suggest that I can just sub in regular tequila. Which I did, with no extra charge! Our waitress was quick and knowledgeable. For appetizers, we got the deviled eggs, the crab roll, and the avocado fries (free with yelp check in!). All the apps were SO good and perfectly cooked. The crab roll was tasty and fresh. The deviled eggs was piled high with the filling. The avocado fries were delicious. For entrees, I got the braised beef short ribs. Husband got the skirt steak, sister got the pork chop, and brother got the scallops. All the dishes were beautiful and very large. The short ribs were so tender. The mashed potatoes it came with were LUXURIOUS. It was so buttery and creamy. It was so good. For dessert, our waitress came out with a birthday scoop of the raspberry sorbet and a candle. We demolished it. We also loved the food so much, we decided to get even MORE dessert. We opted for the bananas foster and the key lime pie (we seriously couldn't get enough of that raspberry sorbet). These desserts were HUGE. The portion size was incredible and made it feel really worth the money - which honestly , the price was pretty average compared to other restaurants, but the portion size was way bigger and way more delicious. Let me tell you, my family attacked this dessert and battled to have the best bites. The bananas foster was my favorite. Huge scoops of ice cream, drippy caramel, and damn good caramelized bananas. The perfect crunch from the bananas paired well with the light whipped cream and creamy ice cream. The keylime pie was the tallest slice of keylime I've ever seen. And of course, the raspberry sorbet was the perfect complement. I loved everything about this restaurant. Our waitress was the sweetest and the best. The food was incredible - we were all so impressed. I will most definitely be back.

Yelp
I've come to Shorebird once for dinner and once for brunch and had a spectacular experience both times! The more recent visit was brunch for 12 people. Service was quick and efficient with a large table with plenty of space ready for us. We ordered avocado fries which were so tasty with a green goddess dressing. I tried the crab Benedict and the lemon ricotta hot cakes and both were exceptional. The hot cakes were fluffy and had great flavor but the star for me was the crab cake Benedict. I usually prefer any other type of Benedict to one with crab cakes but this was actually one of the best eggs Benedict's I've ever had in my life. Amazing flavor and texture, excellent bread selection and it comes with such flavorful potatoes! Recommend coming to Shorebird for any meal!

Basker P.

Yelp
Our waitress was amazing. She caught a mistake they made even before I brought it to her attention. They comped our dessert because of the mistake. We had the filet, skirt steak, burger and swordfish tacos. All were delicious.

Yelp
My husband and I sat at the bar and it was wonderful. Friendly, fast, efficient service.... Amazing margaritas..... delicious food. I recommend a Spicy Prickly Pear Margarita, white sangria, seabass, avocado fries, and pork chops!

Yelp
I don't know how I haven't been here before. We have driven by and never noticed this place. It doesn't seem like much on the outside. But on the inside- it is beautiful. And has a great view of the red rocks. Service was friendly and timely. The food- delicious!!! Crab cake Benedict was really good. Bacon was cooked perfectly. But the chicken and waffles were next level!! I have never eaten waffles as light and fluffy as their waffles. I have no idea how they do it. We will definitely be back to order those again. So good!

Yelp
When I spend the weekend in Sedona, I realized that the food is overpriced with low quality. First, the atmosphere of the restaurant is classy and well put together. Also, the servers were kind and sweet, but the food was salty and unimpressive. I'm not sure if I will recommend it to my friends to eat here.

Anna W.

Yelp
Went here for dinner... absolutely terrible. 3 of us in our party got food poisoning! It is extremely overpriced for the quality of food. A filet mignon (which gave me food poisoning) was not a filet mignon. The risotto was also terrible. Had other people in our party try it and agreed it was in fact the worst filet mignon they've had ($56). Service was also not what you would expect for a restaurant with these prices. The plate was hot and I had no warning from the server. Meanwhile, our party went to the cowboy club a couple days later and they gave warning of hot plates and the meat was actually of good quality. And last note - the hummus was the worst I've ever had too. I usually don't write reviews unless it's positive so this should not be taken lightly when I suggest you should look elsewhere. They need new management or a new menu

Yelp
We came to the restaurant last night... The steak was cooked perfectly, my tomato soup was ok. The service was fine, they checked on us a couple of times. They are kinda pricey though. Key lime pie is $17 (per slice)

Yelp
Had dinner here on Valentine's Day. I was disappointed, to say the least, although there were a few positives. For the prices they charge, the service was lacking. The server was inattentive and when asked questions, uninformed. I will say, the drinks were good. We started off sharing the limp crab cakes. They were "ok" but certainly not worth $26 (or $13 per cake). Have had way better at a lower price in CA. We then shared the "Golden Beet Carpaccio" salad. The menu said: "Herbed goat cheese, pickled red onions, walnuts, baby arugula, fresh strawberries, poppy seed " I cannot tell you the disappointment. I thought the beets would be stacked into a salad. Instead the beets were shaved, laid flat, and topped with arugula. The amount of beets was less than 1 beet. The walnuts and strawberries were non-existent. The Valentine's Day special entree was a fettuccine with lobster. Although there was a lot of lobster, the pasta was thick and clumpy. The menu stated it came with asparagus. There were maybe 2 stalks of asparagus. The special desert was a vanilla soufflé with a chocolate sauce. This was the hit of the night! The desert was great. Service was sub-par. Food (at least portions) was also sub-par. Will not recommend and won't be back.

Yelp
Had early breakfast here on a rainy morning. We were the first ones to show up and everyone was pretty friendly and welcoming. The outdoor patio is enclosed and they have heaters, but we opted for indoor seating since it was still quite chilly. My friend ordered the classic breakfast and I got the lemon ricotta pancakes. The food was somewhat weird tasting. Something was off with my friend's eggs and we wanted to make sure those were dairy free, which the server assured us they were; however, once he got another order of scrambled eggs, they definitely tasted better. Same thing with my order of lemon ricotta pancakes - they had an unpleasant aftertaste. I've had lemon ricotta pancakes on multiple occasions before so I know how they should taste. While I wouldn't say our experience was terrible, I don't think I'd make it a point to go back. But I wouldn't say no either.

Yelp
Brought the family here for Thanksgiving dinner. We had a family of 5. We were seated quickly and the ambiance was nice. Our server, however, was horrible. He was rude from the first exchange. My wife asked if they had a kids menu and was abruptly answered "no." She explained we had kids with us, and asked if they could make pasta. "No." Can you make a quesadilla? "No." Can you give us anything for the young kids? "No." Eventually we were able to negotiate a grilled cheese; which we were charged $17 for. On top of $5 for a milk. Spending money on a decent meal is not an issue for our family. This was more about principle. Also, the server was just so rude. He was very unhappy to be at work; and it showed. Overall the experience just wasn't good. The final bill for 5 was $267. Our daughter had a side of risotto because she wasn't hungry. One kid had a grilled cheese. Wild. I reviewed the check to see how this happened. $8 for a dinner roll we didn't order. $5 for a kids size milk. $17 for a grilled cheese. $14 for a side of mashed potatoes. The server did everything he could to drive the bill up. 0 stars. Would not recommend.

Yelp
I had a very pleasant experience celebrating my 37th birthday dinner at Shorebird. We had to remind them it was my birthday despite placing that lucidly on the reservation which was placed and honored by Open Table. We were seated promptly upon arrival and parking is pretty ample in the private lots just outside. The views from our table before nightfall were spectacular of the red rock formations! I loved the Meyer Lemon Hummus to start. The Meyer Lemon is not overpowering of the entire dish. I had the catch of the day for my entree. It was spectacular. The fish was meaty and plentiful. The asparagus were perfectly cooked and crisp. The mashed potatoes were light, fluffy, and had chunks of potatoes in them. We were granted raspberry gelato on the house in celebration of my 37th and we ordered the warm brownie separately. We loved the experience and our waitress was so great. Our resort recommended this spot and it was a great recommendation.

Yelp
I wish i could add zero stars. The staff was so rude. We sat and they didnt even acknowledge us, other tables sat after us and they took care of them before us. It was 20 mins and we didnt even have water. We had small kids with us and this was our second time coming to shorebird and it will be our last. Id like to add the service staff became disrespectful when we decided to leave.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant: great service from Erick, wonderful food and views and ample free parking which is hard to find in Sedona.

Yelp
This is a wonderful place for dinner. The interior is modern with an elegant appearance. There is an outside patio for dining too. We arrived around 5:30pm for dinner and there still were available tables. By 6:30pm, the tables were filling up quickly. We enjoyed appetizers of avocado fries and twice-fried chicken wings. Both were excellent although I did like the wings more. The scallops were moist and flavorful and the mussels were delicious too. Service was attentive and friendly. I definitely would return to try something else on the menu.

Yelp
Dined in, first booth on the left adjacent the wine rack on Friday, 25 October 2024: Like previous reviews 'dinging service', I had high hopes for Shorebird in Sedona, given the reviews. We were a party of 4 with a reservation and while we started out strong, the entire dinner was overshadowed by poor service. Had the service been even average, the food would have carried the evening and cemented a 5-star review. Oyster appetizer and Salmon Mignon were exceptional. Previous course dishes remained on the table long after completed; female server often walked by with no awareness. She always seemed rushed, our table had some 'drinkers' at it, and she would often pass as martini / beers sat empty for extended periods. When we finally flagged her down, she'd drop off the next round and couldn't escape fast enough. Our experience is when the food is this good, normally the service falls in line and results in a great experience and therefore a great gratuity. Unusual to encounter such a disconnect. In hindsight, I probably should have requested a manager, but with long time friends gathering from around the country, I let it go. I will likely give them another try, probably for lunch. In closing the food was quite wonderful but know the service may be a risk. P.S. Tip of the hat to that mixologist, the various martinis were next level.

Yelp
Criminally overrated, at least for takeout. We ordered a whole swath of dishes from the dinner menu: cod, short ribs, sushi, salmon mignon, scallops, assorted veggie sides, key lime pie, carrot cake. Given that we got takeout, obviously the visual factor wasn't really there. But we did expect our food to be really tasty - and it was only okay. Portion size was large but overall food was either too salty or too oily/greasy - so we didn't even finish our food (it was too heavy and large). Overall, hard pass for takeout - maybe it's better when you eat in house.

Yelp
Have been here before for breakfast, today we stopped in for a couple of drinks and an appetizer. Amazing food as always! Ordered the chicken wings, they were so delicious! Great views on their patio as well!

Yelp
One of the best spots in Sedona to dine in. Great atmosphere, phenomenal service, and high quality food. We ordered yellowtail sashimi, Chilean sea-bass, and the pork. The pork taste was amazing it had a smoky taste which I loved it, the sea bass was light and flavorful and I liked it. The yellowtail sashimi was just okay. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Great service and food! I ordered the Chilean sea bass and my husband ordered the scallops w/ mussels - both were amazing! Tip - if you can't get reservations at the time you want - try the bar as they offer the full menu and aren't as busy !

Yelp
This honestly has to be one of the nicest moderately priced places I've had the honor of experiencing. Our server was wonderful. She was patient, explained everything and we loved this place so much we went back for more during our stay! The food was made with flavorful fresh ingredients and it came out like art! And the high end classy ambiance with a view of the mountains made all of it even better!!
