"This locals’ favorite brings a taste of the coast to the mountains of Sedona with a salmon mignon, an assortment of sashimi options, and tempura-battered avocado fries. Other favorites include the skirt steak with red chimichurri sauce, the pork chop with brandy-poached apples, and twice-fried chicken wings. The cocktails are also well worth a sip, with a variety of mouthwatering options like the white peach sangria, smoked blueberry sour, and espresso martini." - Jamie Killin, Eater Staff

I had high hopes for Shorebird in Sedona, given the reviews, but my experience didn’t quite live up to the hype. The restaurant clearly aims for a high-end vibe, but the service fell short. Plates from previous courses weren't cleared until we asked, and we had to request new silverware. And between courses we needed to take silverware and plates from empty tables, because no waiters were around… Wine wasn’t poured for us, which felt odd for a place at this price point. Even the hostess was cold, offering no warmth or welcoming energy. For what you pay, you expect attentive service and memorable food, but the meal was just okay—not bad, but certainly not worth the premium, and I won’t remember this establishment in some weeks besides the bad service. Just to clarify, the restaurant was not packed or understaffed. Honestly, I’d spend my money elsewhere. While the reviews are glowing, my experience—and from what I could tell, the experience of other diners around us—was far from excellent.

Had a large party that we reserved a table ahead of time (recommended people reserve ahead of time) and had the best server (Melena) and the food was out of this world. Pricey? Yes. Worth pampering yourself though. Well worth it. Chilean Sea Bass was flaky and being from the Northeast originally, not too many places can nail a fish in Arizona but Chef certainly does here. The filet mignon was perfectly mid-rare, melt in my mouth phenomenal. The honey garlic carrots were delicious and the crab cakes were great (I need that aioli recipe). When we come back to Sedona, this is definitely a stop we will make for dinner.

LOL My friend and I are 3 time repeaters here at Shorebirds in Sedona. I had made Opentable 7:30 PM dinner reservations the first night of our arrival in Sedona which was conveniently located across the street from our hotel. We arrived in Sedona a little early, before we could check-in. We wanted to grab a drink. We found a bar, walked over to find it abruptly closed down, based on the notice on the door. I looked over and saw Shorebirds. I told my friend we were eating there that evening. We then just thought to sit at the bar, just in time for Happy Hour. It was great, the bar tender was very friendly, we ended up sharing a HH Jay Birds Chicken Sandwich and having a few beer. The atmosphere is very nice, both indoor and covered outdoor seating. The decor is bright and modern. Second time here we had dinner. We had a 7:30 dinner reservation which I would recommend. Upon arrival I noticed all the indoor seating was filled and our table was waiting for us. Jennifer our server was excellent. Very friendly and attentive. To note their Blood Orange Mezcalita's are fantastic. We ordered the Hamachi Crudo, a dozen Raw Oysters, Crab Cakes and the Duroc Pork Chop. All the dishes were excellent, from presentation to taste, everything fresh. My friend loved the Duroc Pork Chop! Third time we came, we were just to tired from sight seeing and since it so convenient to our hotel we opted to eat here again for dinner. I had made reservations earlier in the day... and yes again the place was filled. My friend had the Duroc Pork Chop again and I had the San Marzano Tomato Soup. Atmosphere: bright modern both indoor and outdoor seating. Service: excellent. Food: excellent.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience tonight. Even with it being so busy, we were greeted by a gracious host who found us some space. Then we were promptly greeted with water and our server. The food was amazing and we had an experience we will never forget. If you have time please check it out.

I don't know how l haven't been here before. We have driven by and never noticed this place. It doesn't seem like much on the outside. But on the inside- it is beautiful. And has a great view of the red rocks. Service was friendly and timely. The food- delicious!!! Crab cake Benedict was really good. Bacon was cooked perfectly. But the chicken and waffles were next level!! I have never eaten waffles as light and fluffy as their waffles. I have no idea how they do it. We will definitely be back to order those again. So good!

While touring Sedona with Bob’s family, we had brunch at The Shorebird Restaurant. From the Blood Orange Drop, the Fried Avocados and Onion Rings to the Angus Burgers, Sushi, Chicken & Waffles and Pork Carne Asado Huevos Ranchero, everything was delicious and beautifully served. The views of the red rock mountains were spectacular, and our waitress was friendly and efficient. We highly recommend The Shorebird.

I am a Sedona resident and love coming to Shorebird. I wish they would allow guests to use their Wi-Fi and I would be here more often. The views are spectacular, the interior is modern and refreshing. The staff is always accommodating. Great wine list. I always have a great time here. One of the only places in Sedona with fresh oysters, although be aware of how they serve your fresh oysters. Today I ordered plain oysters and they came out without the brine in the shell. This is not good and inappropriate that either indicates the oyster is old or shucked incorrectly and the precious brine spilled in the shucking process. I tried half of the plain oysters and half of the oysters with the house sauces and tobiko added. I def always prefer whatever oyster, dressed or undressed with the shellfish brine still in the shell. It's shellfish in the desert. Should I be complaining? ;) I'm grateful. Thank you Wild Thyme and Shorebird for bringing the ocean to the desert.

Has to be one of the best burgers I've had. Food & Service from Felix was fantastic. Banana Split was also amazing. Caramel cream & ice cream. Has to be tried.
