Shoryu Ramen Covent Garden

Recently, I got my hands on their limited edition Jiro Ramen and WOW… what an absolute unit of a bowl. 💥 This beast features a rich soy-based tonkotsu broth, thick and chewy noodles, massive heaps of garlic, crunchy bean sprouts, cabbage, and thick slabs of pork belly. It’s bold, messy, indulgent, and totally addictive. Definitely a guilty pleasure… but worth every bite. 😋 Here’s what else I ordered (because one bowl is never enough 😉): 🌶️ Karaka Tan Tan Tonkotsu Ramen 🍛 Shoryu Katsu Curry 🥟 Tetsunabe Pork Gyoza 🍚 Genki Don – white rice topped with slow-braised pork belly Every dish delivered on flavour — comforting, rich, and seriously satisfying. If you love hearty Japanese comfort food, this place should already be on your list.

The food and service was amazing. Each dishes was so tasty when they came to the table, so complements to the chefs. The server Ilae was very lovely and welcoming, same goes with the other staffs. I would definitely come by with friends and family again.

Shoryu in Covent Garden is very welcoming and the staff were fabulous. It was quiet and we could easily have a conversation while enjoying our food. Something that is not a given in restaurants. The White Natural Ramen is our top choice for a vegetarian option. At just under £15 it is still very affordable. However, it is a very bare bones ramen with little toppings and the extras on offer aren't that attractive either. £2.75 gets you and egg while £2.5 another helping of tofu. Mushrooms and other classic toppings would be a welcome addition to the menu. Overall we highly enjoyed the experience and if you hold valid theatre tickets you even get 20%. ありがとうございました

We had such a great time at Shoryu Covent Garden! The food was delicious!! everything from the ramen to the buns and takoyaki really hit the spot. Our favourites were definitely the karaage buns and katsu curry!!! flavourful, comforting, and super satisfying. The service was quick and friendly, and the whole atmosphere had that cozy, welcoming vibe. It was our first time here, and we already can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend for anyone craving a good ramen fix in the heart of London. 🍜

We visited tonight after a theatre show around 9:30 PM. While the staff were very friendly and the Japanese-style decor was lovely, the food was a massive disappointment. The ramen was served lukewarm at best. It felt as though the noodles had been soaked in slightly warm water rather than being served in a fresh, boiling broth—perhaps because it was near closing time? The quality was definitely not authentic; it felt like a 'British version' of ramen. Even the Chashu pork was completely cold. A staff member did ask if everything was okay, but we were in a rush to catch our train and just wanted to leave and forget the meal. There are much better ramen spots nearby. Given the price and the poor food quality, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

Cozy and lovely place in the vibrant Covent garden. Interior is not the only thing which creates authenticity, food is essential. You can feel that the chef is Japanese. Basically, it is the best what you can expect from ramen. Very friendly and attentive staff, Mykolas will give you all his attention, very attentive were two young gentlemen who were working in the 31 December afternoon. All this creates very special atmosphere and we will be back!

We had dinner here as a group of four on a Friday night after a theatre show. Even though we didn’t have a reservation, they quickly found us a table. The food was delicious, and although the service could have been a bit more attentive and faster, we forgive them because the place was full and the staff were still very kind and professional. Bonus points for the 20% discount we received by showing our theatre tickets.

Satisfying morning filled with tonkotsu ramen. Ordered the spicy version of their best ramen. It gives a good kick. Menendang, enak luar biasa. Ended with roll cake and matcha. Brought taste sensory back to Japan. Seperti di Jepang rasanya. Simon who served us was very helpful and great service
