Shoryu Ramen Covent Garden

It was lovely and I really enjoyed the "set" deal they were doing at the time to promote Final Fantasy. In terms of quality, I've had better and I've had worse. This is honestly a solid pick and I wouldn't mind coming back again. But I'd much rather try somewhere else. I did enjoy the texture of their noodles and their broth.

First time eating at one of the Shoryu restaurants. Tried the Tonkotsu ramen and it was absolutely delicious! Perfect in cold weather days, so comforting. The service was a bit more delayed that expected, but General Manager Miguel made up for it. He was incredibly kind and polite. Thank you!

Shoryu Ramen in Covent Garden serves up a decent bowl of ramen, with a tasty broth and well-prepared toppings. The food quality is definitely a plus. The staff were also friendly and efficient, and I have to give a special shout-out to the server with the bandana and glasses – he was absolutely top-notch, providing excellent service and making the experience more enjoyable. However, the atmosphere unfortunately let the place down. It felt quite cramped and, dare I say, a little soulless. It lacked the warm and inviting ambiance I was hoping for, which impacted the overall dining experience. While the food and service were good, the cramped place itselft meant the atmosphere fell short of expectations. If you're primarily focused on the ramen itself, it's worth a visit, but don't go expecting a cosy and atmospheric dining experience.

A colleague recommended it and I am glad I went to try it out. Atmosphere: The atmosphere at Shoryu Ramen is casual and welcoming, with comfortable seating and pleasant decor. The only downside is that the restaurant can get quite busy during peak hours, so it's best to arrive early or make a reservation. Service: The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the service is prompt and attentive. Their welcome gong is a kitsch but cute touch. Food and Drink: The food at Shoryu Ramen is delicious and authentic, with rich broths and perfectly cooked noodles. The signature Shoryu Ganso Tonkotsu ramen is a standout, with a creamy pork broth and tender slices of pork. The Takoyaki is delicious and a must-have. You can't go wrong with the Ramen here and I will definitely be back for a Lunch here! The pork buns I was less impressed by, we ordered the Char Siu ones but they tasted like Kimchi and were rather bland with no kick to them so they may have messed up our order. Price: The prices at Shoryu Ramen are reasonable for the quality of the food, making it a great option for a casual meal or a night out with friends. Overall, Shoryu Ramen is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious Ramen in London. The food is flavorful and well-prepared, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the prices are reasonable.

Very delicious ramen - I had the miso tonkotsu and the flavours came through really well - the pork belly was especially delicious and I loved the hit of ginger too. The spicy chicken bun was great, but I probably should've just got a portion of the chicken karaage as it was so good. Service was friendly and efficient and great for a solo lunch.

Beautiful wholesome Japanese ramen cant beat it for comfort food ! Love to have kimchi or pickles on the side. The Boa is also so yummy and quite filling!!

Highly recommend the chicken karaage! I liked the miso wafu ramen, however I prefer other ramen restaurants in London. I found the broth here wasn’t as good and didn’t deliver on the umami flavour. Unlike other ramen restaurants, they didn’t ask how firm I wanted the noodles and I forgot to specify when ordering. They take bookings online.
