Three of us went Saturday night (all having been to the Kendall one a few years ago). It was good, but certainly room for improvement. They are definitely still figuring things out (SFTO). Host was great, got us a nice booth. The booth was too far apart, we all had to sit on the edge of our seats to reach the table (they either need wider tables or pull the seats closer). We had at least 4 servers and a hostess serving us at different times (a bit confusing, but they were trying. SFTO). We all commented that the portions were small (half chicken, linguine with clams and my fried chicken sandwich). That may have been one of the smallest chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Rosemary fries were good (and there were enough of those). All were good though. Timing was off (two meals came out together and I had to wait 6 or 7 mins for my chicken sandwich. SFTO). The bill came and as we were paying, I asked if they had dessert. The server said they were working on the dessert menu, but they had chocolate chip cookies. I said "Oh, no one asked if we wanted any" and she replied "I'm asking you now..." (ah, ok...). We passed. For opening week, they should have been just a tad more friendly/hospitable but I'm sure they'll figure things out. Hope this review helps them (No one asked at the end how everything was. A manager should have done that).

Happy to see this new space come to life in Fenway — stopped in for an iced Mocha on opening day and it was fast, no nonsense and delicious from a happy barista. Sending all the good vibes to the Shy team from one of your many new neighbors!

I was really impressed by my first Work From Shy Bird experience! When you come in, the host asks how many are in your party and if you need an outlet, then they find an appropriate spot for you. I thought this was genius, compared to your average coffee shop experience of showing up and going through the trouble of finding a seat, only to realize that there's no outlet. We got there pretty early so we had our choice of seating and opted for a booth by the window. It definitely got busier as the morning went on, including those not doing the WFH deal. I ordered an iced matcha and the Egg White + Avocado Bowl. I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful the bowl was. We also got a side of potatoes to share, which were also nicely seasoned. I got an iced chai later on, which I didn't enjoy as much, so I ended with another matcha. Renee was our first server, and she was fantastic. When her shift was over, we got a new server. Both were friendly and we never had to wait long for our drinks. I would definitely come back to try their lunch menu, as well as scope out their Southie location!
