Google
Accidentally stumbled upon this place in search of some sticky rice and mango which was delicious . We ended up having a shared plate which was so tasty and allowed us to try a few different things. the atmosphere of this restaurant is so cute and the service was so wonderful! will be returning to have a full meal next time :)

Google
Lovely in every way. Not super cheap, but comparable to other Thai places. The food is fabulous here. The decor, dinnerware, and food presentation is aesthetically pleasing, and the service was great. Had noodles. Satay, some cool unusual teas and we were full Great experience!

Google
We ate here again 4/21/25 and ny favorite dish is the BBQ half chicken app. So tender and juicy with so much flavor. The food was absolutely amazing !!! The plating was beautiful and the flavors danced in my mouth ! Sooooo good

Google
Garlic chicken wings, drunken noodles, yellow curry, tiger eye roll, and mango sticky rice — every dish was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. A fantastic dining experience all around. Highly recommend!

Google
I’ve traveled all over the world and I lived in Asia for a few years. I gotta say this food was simply incredible. I’ve been to so many Thai places around here in San Diego and this place is definitely top-tier out of all of them. Food and drinks were awesome! The owner is a hoot too!!

David Borys

Google
The guy who said his wife is the owner is rude and disrespectful. Service is terrible. He never put my lunch order in and I sat for over half an hour until someone realized and came and asked me if I had ordered, and he thought it was funny and laughed when he finally put it in. No apology or attempt to make up for his mistake in any way. When I told him it was not funny it was disrespectful to my time he just walked away and said “Good”.

Google
I grew up in the area and I love eating here every time I’m back home. It’s such a local gem that has really good food. Everyone I have brought here has said they were pleasantly surprised at how good it is! I recommend the soups, green curry, and mango with sticky rice. Oh, and the decor just makes it even better! It’s so strangely delightful and quirky. I think it’s worth trying—it’s just really good Thai food.

Yelp
QUICK TAKE// Delicious, aesthetically plated Thai food that is a solid spot for Mira Mesa. FOOD// We got the SOM TUM WITH SALTED CRAB as an appetizer which is like a green papaya salad with som whole mini crabs in them. Honestly I wasn't sure how to eat the crabs so I just focused on the salad. I would probably just go with the the regular Som Tum next time - otherwise very delicious salad and nice lighter/fresher appetizer. We also go the GREEN CURRY and added mock duck in there - very delicious! My personal highlight was the KHAO SOI WITH DUCK - the portion was huge (definitely explains the $25.99 price) and it is for sure a shareable dish. SERVICE// We went at like a 7pm on a Tuesday night and there were quite a few tables and very few servers. While it did take a while to get our waters initially, once the food order was put in, everything came fairly quickly VIBES// Really aesthetic restaurant! I will also say the food presentation for all of their dishes really added to the theme of the restaurant. Would definitely be a restaurant I would take friends or family for a "nicer" Thai experience. I had heard they had done a major renovation and boyfriend said it has really come a long way from its previous looks.

Yelp
My office colleagues wanted to try out some authentic Thai food. With a quick Yelp search, we were able to find Siam Nara in Mira Mesa. We were able to get a reservation for 20 people. As soon as we arrived, we were able to find parking without any issues. Once we entered the restaurant, we were seated without any delays. The ambiance of the restaurant was so nice. The decor was inspired by Thai culture. For food - I got the spicy basil vegan fried rice with veggies. My friend got the shrimp fried rice. They served us some delicious soup and salad for starters. This was all complimentary and extremely delicious. My food came out pretty quickly. The portion size was big. Also, it was in a beautiful golden platter. My friend's fried rice was in a real pineapple. The presentation was top notch. Both the dishes were yummy and rich in flavor. Everything about the place was authentic. Also, the staff is mostly traditional Thai. I highly recommend checking out this place!

Yelp
This is a hidden gem and I don't know why I haven't written a review sooner. I have gone here several times both with a small group, and with very large groups. I love the crab Pad Thai, the Thai iced tea, and the mango sticky rice are all a go-to for me. We've also tried the platters which are very good, and several of the fish dishes. The fish that comes with The Tamarind sauce is crispy and tasty. We also love their Drunken Noodles. I love coming here and doing family style so we can try several different dishes, and I highly recommend doing that so you can taste a variety of things. I honestly can't say I've had a bad dish here, but I think the crab fried rice could use a little bit more flavor as it's a bit bland. The staff is always very nice and accommodating. The owner is often there and she will come and check on you to see how you are doing and if you are liking the food. Even with a very large party they can accommodate Separate checks which is very rare these days. I love the decor with all of the colorful flowers, an the gold statues. The gold dishes and fancy platters and cups are also a nice touch. They have one of those little robots that delivers the food to the table. It's named Bella Bot and sometimes talks, which is cute. Overall this is one of my favorite Thai restaurants, and I try to get there at least every few months. I would recommend checking it out, I've not heard anyone say that they dislike it.

Yelp
A favorite with my family. I have been dining here for 10+ years and I have always had a great meal. My favorites include Egg Rolls, Golden Triangle, Curry Puff, Tom Kah Soup, Thai fried rice. Can't go wrong with any thing off the menu. Great food, service and ambience!

Yelp
The service and ambiance here is amazing. All the waitresses are super nice and it's a beautiful restaurant. Their presentation for drinks and food is also beautiful. I gave it four stars because I've personally have tried tastier Thai food. The food isn't bad but it wasn't amazing or "the best".
google avatar

Aaron R.

Yelp
The food was beautifully plated and the decor was amazing as well. The food was ok. Nothing special. Super instagramable but as far as flavor it's pretty much the same as anywhere else.
google avatar

Yelp
I had high hopes for Siam Nara, but I was left disappointed :( The decor was beautiful, and the food presentation was wonderful. However, the food was disappointing. I ordered crying tiger appetizer, drunken noodles, and tom yum with shrimp hot pot soup. They came out with the steak first and it was sooo dry. I ordered a side of sticky rice to go with it and they gave me half a cup of hard, undercooked rice. The drunken noodles had good flavor, but the portion size was so small. We finally got our tom yum soup last, and after asking the waiter about where our order was. The flavor of the soup was really good, but I am disappointed that it came out last. The service was slow and they didn't refill my water. Prices are not cheap either, I was expecting a better experience.

Yelp
This restaurant is so pretty! The decor and food presentation are amazing here. This was maybe my third time dinning here and it's always a great experience. We were seated for dinner immediately and served waters. They have those robot servers, but every place that has those still has a real waiter there to actually move the food from the robot to the table. Which is cool because I'm sure running these plates and stuff can get tiring. ANYWAYS. What we got: - Suree's Platter: Satay Chicken (2), Egg Roll (4), Rainbow Shrimp (2) Thai Wraps (3), Vegetarian Curry Puff (1), and Tofu Tod. - Pad Thai: I love a good pad Thai, and this one was great! - Mango Sticky Rice: sweet, sticky, the mangoes were the perfect amount of tart, it was perfect! As we left, I believe she's the owner of the restaurant gave us some Thai snacks and soaps! A WIN!

Yelp
It has been a long time since I dropped in to Siam Nara for thai food (I feel like it was years back). The restaurant was beautifully decorated during the most recent visit. We had come here previously in the past but I didn't recall it being this extensively decorated. There were other patrons but not full to the max. Amusingly there was also a roboserver that served to smaller groups. Parking is plentiful as Siam Nara shares a plaza with several other restaurants. Bathroom was closeby where our table sat. We had a decently sized group that usually gets together (8-10). The rest of the table shared several dishes consisting of curry, stirfry, soup, and entrees. The thai iced tea looked amazing despite the sugary content and I even got a sip. There were many things I wasn't supposed to eat due to my condition at the time gestational diabetes, thyroid (avoiding gluten, dairy, soy), etc. I went for the options that were not too bad, as it's been AGES since I last ate them like - chicken pad thai, chicken satay with peanut sauce, and golden triangle. They were all delicious and tasty - and mind you, again, it's been ages since I had thai food. Service was nice - my food selections came first as they were appetizers and then the rest of the tables came. One person in group paid via card to get the points while the rest of us venmo'ed/zelled. We had a good time catching up over the meal to celebrate two pregnancies in the group.

Yelp
Looking for a GF menu for a family member and we found this restaurant off Mira Mesa Rd. You walk in and get transformed into a beautiful, friendly and a lot of pride. The sweet lady who welcomed us was funny and helpful providing recommendations. The non- alcohol drinks are not just beautiful but taste so good! We ordered GF items for our table and wow! We will make the 30 minute drive to have dinner here again!!

Yelp
My ratings are out of 5 stars App - Rainbow Shrimp, Marinated shrimp wrapped with egg noodles, golden fried, served with a sweet chili sauce. $12.99 (3/5) * The sauce is what gave it good taste, without it it was pretty mild flavor but very crunch and fun to eat! Dish 1 - Pad See Ew, steak, Wide rice noodles stir-fried with an egg, dark soy sauce, Chinese broccoli, and cilantro on top. $15.99 (4/5) * husband loved the mix of veggies, he didn't get spice but they offer it he thought it was so delicious. Dish 2 - E-San Classic Set: Kai Yang, BBQ Half chicken, crunchy shredded green papaya salad, steamed aromatic glutinous rice, and a special spicy dipping sauce. $28.99 (5/5) * so much left over, the meat was amazingly charred and fell off the bone, I wasn't a huge fan of the glutinous rice as I would've preferred just regular sticky jasmine rice. The dips and flavors were great and the papaya salad was delicious. Dessert - Mango Sticky Rice, Steamed glutinous rice aromatic coconut milk served with ripe mango, and generously sprinkled with toasted mung beans. $12.99 (4/5) * it delicious and amazing presentation, everything was very well done! Staff was kind and attentive! They filled our drinks when we asked and they answered all our questions. The space is lovely with clean spaces and beautiful decorations. The music is classical music and it was pleasant to dine in.
google avatar

Metta T.

Yelp
Food is pricey for the portion given. Our E-san sausage was $11 for 2 sausages compared to what I've ordered at other Thai restaurants that is typically double or slightly more. And then we had to ask for more beef jerky that is shaved beef. The owner was genuinely nice and accommodated to give more beef jerky when we showed the portion given for $13.

Yelp
The ambiance of this place is really beautiful and they are very nice snd welcoming here. It kinda makes you feel like you're entering Thailand. The servers were dressed in their traditional wear. The good presentation was so elegant as well. Cute date spot. We ordered the fish and it was delicious love the aromatics, see eu which is pad see ew usually is my go to it was good but not how it usually is. Everyone makes it different but there's on the lighter side. Thai tea wasn't too sweet which was lovely. Overall would come back.

Yelp
The best Tom Yum soup I've had so far! It comes in a hot pot and tastes really good. We also tried their chicken pad thai, shrimp fried rice, beef pad see eu, green curry, eggplant with veggies and chicken string beans. We enjoyed all of it. We came here for dinner on a Monday. They were not busy. We were immediately seated at a booth. They only have indoor seating. Service was really good. The servers were friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very colorful with lots of flower decorations.

Yelp
Our friends recommended this place because they know the family who owns it! I'm happy we were able to visit on a Saturday night. There was no wait to be seated. It's located at the same plaza as seafood city so parking might be hard on a busy day. The restaurant is very pretty and well decorated. It feels homey and welcoming. The service was great and they kept checking in on us. They also have those service robots that bring you your food lol. We ordered the mild beef pad thai and a cup of their Tom yum soup. They have so many options on their menu including some yummy cocktails that I'll have to try next time I visit. The food comes out with really pretty dishware and utensils! Pad Thai is enough to serve 2 to feel comfortable. The Tom yum soup was also really delicious, very sour the way we like it. I'd get the dishes at medium spice next time! This place is also very affordable for a nice date night, I think we spent only $20 to feed 2 people. I'd visit again!

Yelp
Currently my top spot for Thai food in San Diego! Came here with a group of 4 and we ordered a TON of food - crying tiger, crab pad Thai, chicken pad see ew, garlic chicken wings, mango chicken curry, and a couple of drinks. I'm not exaggerating when I say everything was a hit! The flavor on every dish is amazing, and I had trouble figuring out what my favorite dish was. The table's favorite dish was the mango curry chicken so if you like curry, definitely recommend this one. Service was top notch, loved how friendly everyone was and how often they were checking in on us and refilling waters. I also love the decor, it's very traditional which is on par with their menu and how traditional they keep things. Highly recommend Siam Nara if you're looking for Thai food in the area! We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
I used to go here back when I lived in Mira Mesa maybe like 10 years ago and it was my favorite. Went in there again and still the best Thai I had in a very long time . Service is top notch they sit you Quick and take your drink order right away. The food was excellent, had me some nice chicken pad Thai with some yellow curry oooh you're ganna love it. It's neatly decorated when you walked In with a whole wall full of flowers and the whole restaurant is decorated . So far still best spot I think.

Yelp
Came in on a Tuesday night with a party of nine. We were seated promptly. This place is beautiful inside and service is excellent. The staff is so friendly and playful. I can't handle spicy food so I always go with the pad Thai and this year was excellent. I had coworkers who had actually been to Thailand and said this food came so close to what they ate in Thailand. We also sampled many of the desserts. The FBI was a huge hit and of course the sticky rice with mango was delicious. You can't go wrong with anything here on the menu. They have a large variety and everything we had was mouthwatering.
google avatar

Yelp
I've never had better Thai food in my life I'm so serious. I will 1000% be back. The food had so much depth of flavor and that was consistent amongst all the different dishes we ordered. Best Panang curry I've ever had; the curry puffs were bursting with flavor, and the sweet rice and mango were so delicious not fake sweet at all. Genuinely I'm so impressed. Not to much how nice the atmosphere was, and how clean the bathroom was!! Will be back soon!

David B.

Yelp
They took 10 min to take my order. Then the guy who said his wife owns the place never put my order in. He thought it was funny that after 30 min my food order had not even been put in the system. When I told him it was a huge waste of my time he said " good". Avoid this place.
google avatar

Yelp
Second time here, their food is good food presentation is amazing! Their drinks are also good. I like their decorations, good ambience and good music. Our server is very polite and soft spoken and we're satisfied of her service, will be back here again, try it.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite restaurant in Mira Mesa. There is no restaurant that I've been to more times than Siam Nara. Mother and I always come here when we want to treat ourselves. The owner Lott always takes care of us and she accommodates my mother especially when she was sick and coughing one time she went out of her way to give her some natural Thai remedies. The panang curry is my go to, and out of all the times I've ordered it adding avocado makes the world of a difference, and the intentionality of the food design is beautiful. The environment is welcoming especially throughout the seasons, as they have different decorations depending on what part of the year. I'm happy to call myself a regular here.
google avatar

Paul B.

Yelp
Food was great. I had better pad see ew and egg rolls. Mango Curry soup was great! Presentation was beautiful. Atmosphere great.
google avatar

Sharon B.

Yelp
The owner is truly a sweetheart! Each time my mom and I go we have a nice time visiting with her. The food was delicious! We ordered the chicken yellow curry, a shrimp dish, crab fried rice, chicken Drunken Noodles, and thai bananas with coconut ice creami. All choices were very delicious! The service was great and the restaurant was very beautiful! They have a flower wall which is IG worthy! The owner also sells lotus cookies and even makes her own soap. Wow! What a perfect dinner!
google avatar

Ronald T.

Yelp
This times visit was as good as I remember. The food presentation. Was great. The flavor of the food was almost 4 1/2 stars. My panang curry mixed was really good. I asked for spicy, the server said Thai spicy. And I said I would like Thai Thai Thai spicy. She said, I'll give you the spice rack. As it turned out... I did in fact need the spice rack. Of course I'll be back!!
google avatar

Steve B.

Yelp
The ambiance is wonderful. Decorated well, comfortable seating and the owner is very welcoming and nice. 5/5 I had a Thai ice team which was good and hits the mark for a good beverage. 4/5 The Panang Curry with Chicken was good, the sauce was smooth creamy and flavorful. It came with a small bowl of rice, but it didn't have very much meat. I counted only six (6) pieces and nearly no vegetables. Sauce 4/5 Meat portion 2/5 Vegetable portion 1/5 Rice portion 3/5

Deborah R.

Yelp
I was in middle of eating my chicken with eggplant and I realized the chicken was actually gray!!! I asked the women who owns the restaurant and she started saying something about how the health department dictates where she gets her chicken from and something about seafood city. She then tried to convince me that it was gray from the eggplant. Eggplant is purple, not gray and the gray was actually attached or inside the chicken not just sitting on top. My stomach has begun to ache and I'm beginning to feel a little nauseous. I'm hoping it doesn't get worse. I googled gray chicken and it's a sign of spoilage.

Lourdes M.

Yelp
Food is good . Service is great Place is awesome . Love the mango chicken curry and shrimp something . Kinda pricy but servings good .
google avatar

Joy G.

Yelp
At first - the place was nice. We came in to live music. Was beautifully decorated. Service was good while they were filming for the live music. Then it went down hill. We tried to order dessert to go and were left for 40 mins with no word, no one checked on us, didnt bring our dessert or our bill. Finally flagged down a younger male server who helped as much as he could, considering we werent his table. Dessert came out another 5-10 mins AFTER we cancelled it. We didnt take it, since we didnt pay for it. Food was decently good...shame i may never be back.

Yelp
This has always been my go to restaurant not only because I live close by but always because they are open on most holidays which is great. I've been here multiple times and the staff is always professional, polite and friendly. But the last time I was here the papaya salad and the panang curry tasted below average. I dono if they changed the kitchen staff but made me think if I want to come back again. But I've had 17/20 good food experiences here

Yelp
Came back again for a Friday early dinner. Thr place has been even more decorated since we last visited. The abundance of silk orchid sprays from all the columns is beautiful. The decor all feels very lavish and like a tropical retreat. The service was outstanding. We had our small kid with us and the hostess/staff, Sakaoratana, chose a booth for us which is easier to dine at when you have a squirmy kid. She also brought us a plastic water cup with straw as well as utensils of smaller size than the ones for adults. After ordering, our food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and as always, the food is beautifully decorated with fresh flowers. I ordered green curry with fried tofu. The curry is aromatically flavorful and the vegetables fresh. Khanom Tuay has excellent pandan and coconut flavor and it is also very filling as it is dense, so I would recommend sharing. The Coconut Pineapple Ice Cream was amazing! You can really taste both flavors. They brought out multiple spoons for us to share without us having to ask. There is a new addition of a robot that brings out food or drinks and our kid loved seeing it go by. Please use the robot more often, especially when serving a table with kids! It is very entertaining. Sakaoratana took very good care of us and was very thoughtful and mindful of us dining with our kid. Very positive experience dining as a family. Thank you very much!

Yelp
It was a last minute decision but we are happy we went! Menu is great and food is super great! Coming back soon!service is really great! Ambiance wise it is royal! I love it there!

Yelp
We've gone here twice. Service and food is always excellent. We have had pad thai, spring rolls, green curry, chicken satay, mango sticky rice, tom kah, ice cream and a few other thai dishes that were new to us but wanted to try as our server suggested to us. We truly enjoy the details put into this restaurant - soooo many flowers everywhere. On the ceiling and in the food. Highly recommend. Definitely one of my favorite thai places! Check them out. Outside is deceiving but walk in and be amazed!

Joanna C.

Yelp
The restaurant was really cute. The food was way overpriced. $16 for small portion of drunken noodles with chicken. $6 for a small peach iced tea with no refills. I felt ripped off. Not coming back here.
google avatar

Mel C.

Yelp
When Siam Nara first opened, it was probably one of my favorite Thai restaurants in San Diego. It felt like quality authentic Thai food in a beautiful restaurant. The last few times I went, the food was good (not great) and the prices have only continued to climb. The quality of the food is very good. Things I love: They label gluten free items & ingredients clearly. Service is great! Decor is lush and beautiful. There is plenty of parking in the lot. They appreciate reservations, but take walk ins.
google avatar

Alexandria W.

Yelp
I went here the other day bc I was craving Thai food. The inside was really pretty and the food was really good. Even though I got a takeout order, they included a house soup with my order. The amount of food was more than I expected which makes me happy. Will come back again :)

Yelp
PRESENTATION IS EVERYTHING!!! , when they say first impressions are everything this place took that serious. I wanna say this place is a hidden Gem, but with how packed it was I don't know if I'm just late to the party! Every thing was Good and Authentic flavors! This place is all about the look! Gold silverware Gold Plates all Gold everything!! I mean if you're trying to impress somebody while not breaking the bank go here!!! We tried everything that we could put down that plates are the perfect size and the staff works hard!

Yelp
avoid at all cost. uncooked chicken, hair in dessert. havent had any bad thai food experiences but this is the first

Yelp
The decor is very over the top. Nice place if you need a small photo op (fake rose wall). The staff are super friendly, bring you ice waters right away. I ordered Pad See Ew Noodles with Beef. Spice: I wished I order medium! I ordered mild bc I didn't know what spice spectrum here was, so I didn't want to risk it. When the food came, it tasted good but not spicy whatsoever. We asked for the spicy rack (options include powder, liquid, and your generic spicy chili sauce). Added all of it and a lot of it and didn't really kick up the spice. My theory is that the spicy addition is optimized during the cooking process, so adding after doesn't do as much. Everything was prompt and tasted good (it was a pretty average impression) so not sure this is a place I really crave.

Yelp

Yelp
We have been here many times. The food and service is spectacular. The owner checked in on us... a lovely setting. Thank you!!!

Yelp
I love this restaurant so much. I've come here so many times and have always had the best experience and the food is so good. The owner and her daughter are the best. I loved this place so much I came here for my wedding. We did family style meals and their prices and service were amazing. All my guests were impressed and loved everything they ate even the picky eaters. Everyone was determined to come back and some people even bought food to go including my mom and grandpa who are picky with their Thai food. The owner really took care of us. They also stored our wedding cake and provided us with the plates, utensils, and knife. The place was so beautifully decorated too that it just fit our wedding vibe perfectly. We took some photos with the flower set up too.

Joyu L.

Yelp
We ordered fried chicken wings, which was undercooked and we saw blood. There was hair in our mango sticky rice and the sharing plates also came dirty. Our stomach began to feel uncomfortable after dinner and I experienced more severe stomach pain the next day.

Yelp
The old lady is extremely nice. My friend & I really love her food. There's a time when I order 2 Duck Khao Soi to go but I didn't expect to be too big & I can't bring them back home with 2 big trays so they arranged them inside a pink bag so I can hang them on my e-scooter handlebar. I highly recommend people to give Siam Nara a try.
