Siam Square

This was my first and last time at Siam Square, the food was overpriced and mid, the portions are rather small compared to other Thai restaurants. Our sweet and sour chicken was inedible due to the chicken being over cooked and fried to a crisp. We were able to eat two pieces of chicken (thats the $17 sweet and sour portion in the photo) and the sweet and sour sauce was watery and tasted like vinegar. The phad thai with tofu was nothing special, there were no peanuts and it contained broccoli and carrots which were not even listed on the menu.

Hands down the best stir fry I've ever had! Eggplant with tofu, delicately spiced, perfectly prepared, very colorful. Come here for sure! I bet all the food is this good. It was packed at lunchtime but i got a seat right away.

Highly recommended! The food was perfect and hot. The Thai tea was really good, and the Thai coffee was super bomb good! I ordered another one to go. I live in the Northwest US and I’ve had lots of good coffee, but this was outa the park good. I ordered one to go. Oh yea, I already said that; guess it has some caffeine. I would move here just for the coffee and good food!

First time there..4pm very quiet, but they were very busy with lots of take out orders Great atmosphere, clean, and food beyond amazing! I highly recommend it! And for dessert, the sweet sticky rice and ice cream is the perfect balance of not overly sweet, rich, and creamy beyond description! Meal and appetizers were fresh, delicious, and perfect in every way. Go there!

Stopped by around 2pm for a late lunch. Nice clean little restaurant offering Asia food with incredible service and taste. We had fresh Siam rolls and vegetable tempura for appetizers. These were both very very good. The rolls were fresh and tasty with just the right dipping sauce. Vegetable tempura was my favorite, fresh and slightly crispy. Drunken noodles was my choice off the lunch special menu, this was very good and brings a little heat with it. The wife chose the Pad Thai both dishes are a stir fry and packs some spicy heat. They also bring a small bowl of soup and a roll for your enjoyment. This almost combustible very spicy soup will clear your Sinuses and leave you wanting water. Two small spoon fulls was all I could muster. Overall we both liked it here, for a spicy light meal with great service and prices, we say give them a try! 👍👍

I have been to try Siam square for a very long time and finally got a chance as part of a team lunch. I should say the overall food and taste is very flavorful and that packs a good punch in your meal. I tried Siam ginger with shrimp and it had a good taste. Just not spicy it added a good amount of flavor to my meal. There was an add soup served as soon as we got in which in my opinion is so good for winter and flu season. It was tasty yet was so healing to my throat. Must try!

Their Pad Thai flavor is perfection. Interior is beautiful. Service is mediocre. Other than the Pad Thai, I'd recommend the Curry Puff appetizer. The outside is a thick, crunchy shell and inside is a soft and hot potato filling with curry seasoning. It's not spicy. I would not recommend the Thai Iced Tea. I personally found it to be more tea tasting than I'd prefer. I like it to be sweet and creamy. Overall, our food was fantastic, but there were a few issues during our meal. Server did not check on us for refills and at one point the lights were accidentally turned off and then came back on a few seconds later. It was all a bit strange.

Food not authentic Thai food.. ordered for a medium spicy.., but not spicy at all...portion is too small not worth for the price.. place is too sketchy outside, so be careful .. make sure you park your car in safe place and dont forget to lock the door...

Met some friends before a comedy show. Staff was great and the food was amazing. We got a variety of apps and they were all great but the dumplings were absolutely amazing. I got the green curry with shrimp and took half of it home and it was just as good the next day. 10 out of 10.

every. single. time I get pad thai from here I always eat egg shells. like do yall not know how to crack eggs properly? lol like I can't believe it's every. single. time. pay more attention. it's gross.

Siam square used to be a place that I would recommend in a heartbeat, but lately it just doesn't feel that way anymore. Eating there recently, the prices and the portions don't match. I get it- inflation is crazy, but the portion I got did not fill me up for $16. I ordered pad Thai, spiced medium. When it came out it was cold, and was not medium spiced at all. They did take my dish and heat it up for me. It came back and tasted a little better. I would never expect a discount, but it does feel like they could have done something else to make up for this. Our server was not super attentive, but wasn't horrible. They seemed to be doing several carry out orders, which in my limited experience does offer a bigger portion. I would consider the other Thai options downtown and surrounding before choosing Siam.

Tasty Thai. If you're familiar with Thai spice you know what you're in for. If not, it's very tasty addictive (thanks a lot capsaicin) Thai food. Pretty sure this is a break off of Thai spice or at least used to be. The portions here aren't the best and the prices kinda high but it's 2024, nothing is as cool as it was. They used to have a big fruit loop bird upstairs but I can't imagine that it's still alive.

Absolutely addicted! Haven't had a "bad" menu item yet and we eat here AT LEAST once per day when visiting Indy. Owners are awesome, of course, and we love to chat with Ed or Sasatorn. Faves: yum sauce catfish, drunken noodles with pork. I swear next time I WILL try the mango sticky rice!!! Thai iced tea helps cool things down. Able to accommodate our large party, but also great for takeout! See ya next April, at the very latest!

This was my first visit to Fountain Square's Siam Square, a Thai restaurant describing itself as "vibrant Thai cuisine." If you've ever been to the Fountain Square area, you know the entire neighborhood has a myriad of accessibility issues. I have to admit I was a little concerned about committing to a restaurant I really didn't know in a neighborhood where I knew accessibility could be an issue. I parked 3-4 blocks away in a side parking lot that offered a spot likely to maintain accessibility. This neighborhood does tend to have fairly decent curb cuts, though sidewalks are in various forms of disarray. Siam Square is not on the side of the street that has the Cultural Trail, so the sidewalk here is definitely a concern. That said, I made it fairly easily. Siam Square has a green canopy entrance. It's an older building with a narrow wooden door. My lunch guests had some concerns about my entry, however, I was able to make it. As you enter, you turn slightly to the right to enter and face a hosting area and then the simply yet pleasantly decorated dining room. As a matter of note, my smaller manual wheelchair made the turn fairly easily. However, I would have some concerns about a motorized chair being able to make it. It's a sharp, narrow turn. Three of us were dining and we sat at a 4-top. Our server was quiet but pleasant and helpful throughout our time there.I was the only newbie to Siam Square. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken. I was asked if I wanted it mild, medium, or hot. To be safe, I chose medium. I regretted this as I found the medium VERY mild. I ordered unsweetened iced tea and did get my always desired refill. Siam Square has lunch specials Tuesday-Friday (closed Monday). They offer starters, small dishes, soups, stir-fried entrees, fried rice, thai coconut curries, seafood specialties, a small dessert menu, and a small kids' menu. Drinks include coke products, Thai iced coffee, Thai iced tea, ginger tea, hot tea, and chrysanthemum honey tea. I enjoyed my time here quite a bit, a combination of a solid meal and good company with a warm, comfy atmosphere. I arrived right as they opened and it was still fairly quiet. I'm not sure I'd go out of the way to dine here but certainly wouldn't hesitate to return when in the area. As I noted, several restaurants on this strip are not accessible (most have a step into them) and despite some challenges Siam Square does offer a level to the ground entryway. It was a beautiful day to hang out in Fountain Square and I was pleased to finally be able to visit this restaurant I'd long desired to check out.

There is a small parking lot next to the restaurant and then street parking in front. It has a nice interior with a couple fun bamboo walls and cool light fixtures. We got a table quickly. Our server was nice and checked in throughout the meal. We started with the steamed dumplings which didn't have a lot of flavor. My panang Curry was medium and could have a bit more spice and a few more green beans. Portion size was good and the price was moderate.

I've eaten at SS for years and I feel like it's consistency has slipped - today Pad Thai was underwhelming to say the least - just a bunch of chicken and rice noodles - no flavor - feel like it is hit or miss with Siam - very disappointed - if the trend continues I won't be back

Bananas. I can't believe it's been a decade since my last review of Siam Square given how frequently we order carryout from here. My husband and I had our first date here ten years ago and returned last night to celebrate (with our two year old in tow). Don't get me started on how my kiddo chose this "date night" to throw his worst restaurant tantrum to date... (sorry, fellow diners). Back to the food and Siam... First off, I can't thank the Siam crew for navigating my seafood and shellfish allergy with such ease and understanding. It seems that they are able to make a lot of the dishes vegan, if needed. My go-to dishes are the veggie spring rolls (not fried) and the mixed vegetables with chicken and rice (also available with tofu). Both are super refreshing and packed with vegetables. Last night, I thoroughly enjoyed my decaffeinated chrysanthemum honey tea (perfect on a cold winter night) and as always, the mango sticky rice for desert. The service was prompt and friendly. Despite our child's meltdown, we spent the rest of the evening talking about how much we enjoyed the food. Can't wait for my next in-house or carryout experience. bravo, Team Siam

I ordered the green curry last week and the portion was huge. It was so big I had to take some home. This was in the restaurant, just to be clear. Today, I ordered the green curry through Uber eats. The amount of green curry they gave me for $20 bucks, was the amount I took home from my leftovers from last week. There is hardly any chicken also. Place is great, just don't order to go.

Heard a lot about this place and it was a bit underwhelming. Was expecting more from their pad thai, which I found to be average, and a bit dry. It also had broccoli, which was a bit odd. The Yum tofu salad was the favorite. It had a balanced flavor - savory, sweet, and sour. It was a refreshing and light dish. Employees were friendly. Ordered takeout in person and the food was ready at the time promised. There is some parking on the side of their building or street parking.

This is one of those places I drive past often and I always say, "I'll give them a shot one day!" Well... today was that day! I called the restaurant and placed my order over the phone. Medium Chicken Pad Thai and an order of Crab Rangoon. My order was ready just 15 minutes later. I was shocked with the amount of food that I got! The pad thai was flavorful and moist!!! The rangoons were stuffed with crab and came with this super tasty, sweet and sour sauce! If you're in Fountain Square, I highly recommend checking this spot out! They even have their own small parking lot, which is super convenient. Next time I'm there, remind me to get two orders of crab rangoon!!

Flew into Indy for the marathon. This was our first stop from the airport to carbo load. One of my favorite Thai dishes is drunken noodle so that is what I ordered. The service was fast and friendly. Alas, the food was just OK. The noodles were a bit gummy in texture. The spice was lower than I expect for Thai cuisine.

I learned about Siam Square through a Yelp Elite event a few months ago, and enjoyed the food and service so much that I had to come back! The owner is SO friendly and helpful. I watched as he navigated a language barrier with another customer, and he was nothing but sweet and polite. I also learned that he and his wife visited Thailand several times for different culinary and pastry courses, so she now makes beautiful macarons and other desserts from scratch. I ended up with the pad thai lunch special. Both the entree and the little spring roll were delicious. Next time I think I'll need a full order of the spring rolls because they were so good! The little Thai cookies were the perfect dessert to cap it off. If you're in the area, the lunch special is truly worth a try.

Siam Square has long been known for amazing food and outstanding service. A recent event demonstrated that excellence goes beyond the food preparation and the table service. It is also truly evident with the management in resolving a billing issue. After dining for lunch in March we found that a debit charge for both the meal before the tip and with the tip included had been made to our account. Upon contacting the restaurant I was immediately impressed with the sincerity of the person listening to my problem. She politely and clearly instructed me what to forward via text to resolve the double charge. I did so which was immediately acknowledged and within a couple hours, the manager contacted me via phone and assured me that a credit would occur. And as promised, the credit showed on our account the next day, We commonly review on food and service during the meal. I think Siam Square should be recognized for how they excel in doing business behind the scenes. They have certainly gained my respect and I hope my loyalty will reflect my gratitude.

Pad Thai is great! The curries are sweet and delicious. Good atmosphere and ambiance inside with a convenient location. The service was excellent

This Thai restaurant is my go-to destination, as the food is consistently delicious and the dine-in experience is always pleasant.

We were hungry for Thai food and had not been to Siam Square in Fountain Square for awhile so we decided to go for lunch. I'm glad we did because it was as good as I remembered it. We got there on a weekday just before noon and it's good that we did because they filled up quickly. We were seated right away and our orders were promptly taken. Our server was friendly and helpful. Their lunch specials menu had a lot to choose from at a great price. I had the pad krapow which came with a bowl of thom yum soup and a spring roll. The roll was warm and crispy. It was tasty. The soup was good also. My delicious entree was just the right size and came with a side of white rice. No leftovers today but the meal was filling. There was available parking out from on Virginia Avenue and still spots on the side of the restaurant in their private lot. Can't wait to return.

I have tried many restaurants in Fountain Square and I could not believe that I had never been to Siam Square. My friend offered the suggestion and our group of five had one of the best meals! Turns out this is a very family owned establishment (to the best of my knowledge based on my friends information) that handled COVID well with lots of customers with take-out. What a great story and a way to move forward. The food is the biggest thing to talk about! I had the Thai coffee (exceptionally made) as well as the kratiem. I got the kratiem with chicken and hot and it was wonderful. The flavors were everywhere and I so enjoyed my meal. My son ordered the pad thai, thai hot. I was able to taste his meal and could not believe how good it was. I thought the heat was wonderful, although my son did not feel it was great the next morning! Everyone had a great meals and I definitely will be back.

My daughter is a vegan who is deathly allergic to seafood. We ordered a vegan meal for her and within minutes of she was having an anaphylactic reaction and had to go to the emergency room. Called the owner to let him know and he was a nice guy who said they are careful with vegan food and treat it like an allergy or a religious restriction. but no matter how nice he is the facts are that my daughters reaction shows that they are obviously not careful enough.

I love this place. Love the ambiance. I love the food. I love how they'll modify their food for your liking. I love the pad Thai and would say it's the best I've ever eaten. YUM. In addition to this, the service is great. Always friendly. Helpful in understanding the menu. And fast!

This is my daughters favorite place in fountain Square. I'd love their hot and sour soup and they're drunken noodles. Nothing very special about the decor, but the service is outstanding and their eggrolls are delicious. I would highly recommend this if you're looking for some good Thai food.

10 years ago, this place had excellent Thai food. It's pretty bland now. Ambiance is good, service was good. Food was fine, kind of tasted as if they were missing a few key Thai ingredients but I think it was just not that well done.

Recently dropped in Siam Square for the first time in a few years. Still an excellent Fountain Square dining staple! The layout of the restaurant has bright, attractive colors with some Asian style art & decor. The Siam Ginger stir fry is a usual dish, and it's a delicious blend of chicken (or other protein selection) and vegetables. It's admirable that a level of spice option is available for the dishes. The honey crysanthemum tea is a perfect addition to any meal! Incredible food, courteous staff and lovely decor make Siam Square a must try!

My Indy Thai food ranking (also happens to be in order of most to least expensive): 1. Bodhi Thai 2. Siam Square 3. Thaitanium Siam Square has awesome Drunken Noodles and Par Thai. The service is great and quick. The portions are huge and it tastes great.

Siam square is a very solid option for Thai food in fountain square. We stopped in for lunch and were seated immediately. It was a very welcoming and inviting interior that was nicely decorated. They have lunch specials throughout the week but not on weekends. We got the Siam roll for an appetizer which came with ground chicken and shrimp. I think I would have preferred just shrimp and not the addition of ground chicken, which was a little dry. Peanut sauce was decent but a little sweet for my liking. Only came with 4 pieces for $12 which I thought was a little steep. I got the vegetable stir fry with chicken. It was a very generous portion with a good amount of chicken and was served with a bowl of rice. My husband got the drunken noodles with chicken. I tried a bite and the sauce was slightly sweeter than I would've liked, but it was stir fried well with a nice char to the noodles. Prices were extremely reasonable given the generous portions. We'll definitely come back to try the lunch specials!

In my very humble opinion, this is my favorite Thai restaurant downtown. Even over some of the newer, more trendy options, the flavors here are more pronounced. We came in for a ladies' dinner of 5. We ordered an array of appetizers, including curry puffs, spring rolls, dumplings, and crab Rangoon. The highlight appetizers for us were the Rangoon, dumplings, and curry puffs. We also ordered a wide variety of entrees. We especially loved the sweet and sour chicken. It was so crispy and intensely sweet and sour. We also loved the drunken noodles, pad thai, and Bangkok fried rice. The spice levels were on point, and we all left full and happy.

Amazing! Was crazy Thai food and found this place through Yelp. The inside was super cute, despite looking closed on the outside. We were a group of 7 and was able to get a table no issues, we also went on a Thursday night. So not super busy time. The service was amazing and the food was PERFECTION. I always love crab Rangoon's and this place did not disappoint!

I have been looking for a good goto Thai place. Happened upon this place while hanging out a Fountain Square. All the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The spring rolls were freshly made and very hot with homemade dipping sauce. The coconut curry was so very warm and rich. The restaurant was well kept and had a nice vibe.

This place has good Thai food in the heart of fountain square. I got the green curry and spring rolls. They were both great! In the past I've had the red curry, crab rangoons, and the drunken noodles. All were all great. They have a big me ur sign plenty of options. The inside is nice and clean and the staff is friendly. The carry out process is quick and easy too. It's super easy to get to from the cultural trail bike path, the IndyGo Redline (fountain square stop), or by walking from anywhere in fountain square of Fletcher place. There is parking near by if you drive, too. This is a good affordable Thai place im fountain square. I go here all the time! I will say that the Thai places near 86th street are better in my opinion. But this place is still very good and a very strong option.

I really enjoyed the drunken noodles, I got them hot and they were just perfect with the amount of heat (not quite enough to make me tear up). The green curry was very smooth too and flavorful but with medium spice I think hot would have been better. It's beautiful inside as well. The serving was just enough that I could finish it and feel full with none left over.

I usually order DoorDash so I've had this place, so many times and I just love the food there it's so good. The service was good. The restaurant in was nice again, the food was so good I really love this place. My Son had the Thai and he liked it. We both had to dumplings delicious and I have the drunken noodles this place never disappoints.

First off, totally neglected my Crab Rangoon order, it didn't make the trip. Chicken Satay was ok, seasoning was good but was pretty dry. The peanut sauce was Bomb though. #50 Pad Thai noodles were over cooked, chicken over cooked and not tender. Ive had better at other places. Food arrived on time and was barely warm. I also placed my order at 3:30 in the afternoon and although it's Black Friday, I dont see this a a reason for so many issues. Very disappointed!

Curious... Love Pad Thai, have always enjoyed Siam Square in the past. Food was ordered in person, was ready 25 minutes later when estimated. Food was hot, Flavor was good...our party spent close to $120 with tip. In our order we had 4 chicken pad thai entrees, 2 medium, 2 mild. The question I am curious about...is it common for them to just throw the ENTIRE egg in the dish? Shell and all?!?! Every single order of Pad Thai had soooooo much egg shell. Not like, oops, a small piece got in the dish...more like, this needs egg? BAM! You get the whole egg, we aren't gonna even be bothered to remove the shell. Super disappointed

Absolutely love this place. I'm new to the area and only been here 2 weeks and I've already been here 3 times. The spice is perfect. You can do mild but the spicy is amazing!! Service is quick and nice. The fried spring rolls are so good. I could eat 8 of them!! The restaurant is very spacious and has cool murals all over the walls! Highly recommend

I ordered this on Uber eats and I did not take any photos. If the to go food is this good I can only imagine how delicious it is dining in. The spice level was just right and the flavors were so powerful. I ordered the pad Thai. I'll be sure to update my review after I have dined in.

Tonight we wanted Thai Food and since we are from out of town - I did some searching and came across this place in the Fountain Square area. The restaurant isn't fancy but what we were in search of was good food. They don't have a huge menu but all the regular (normal) items were offered. We started with Fresh Siam Rolls (very tasty and well made) served with a nice sauce to compliment this dish. Our main dishes were the Drunken Noodles (Full of flavor - great taste and a good amount of food). The other dish was Masaman Curry served with a side of rice. We wish it was a little thicker (creamier) since the curry sauce was a little thin but it was packed with great flavor and has a great taste. We also ordered their Thai Iced Tea which was well made. Nice place overall, good food and it looks like they take reservations from what I observed. They do stay busy and seem to do a fair amount of take out also.

Good choice for some Thai food. Our waiter was great. Super nice. The only reason I gave them a 4 was because we were getting harassed by gnats the entire time we sat for dinner. And I had ordered pot stickers and they were very mushy. The taste was fine but if you are a texture person like me, don't get them. Overall our meals were great. I got the fried rice dish and it didn't disappoint.

Come here for lunch a lot fried rice and the pad Thai is my favorite. Service has always good and the ambience is nice for me. It's a good lunch spot.

I have been here several times now and I order the same thing each time....Drunken Noodles w/ Chicken (Thai Hot). I've never been disappointed with this dish. I've ordered the Crab Rangoon before and was very disappointed. It seemed like it was slapped together and no flavor. I would definitely recommend the Drunken Noodles here.

I love Thai food, and I have tried most of the Thai restaurants in Indy. Siam square is a solid choice, food is always tasty but this time I was disappointed with my lunch take our experience. Ordering on the phone was very easy and the food was ready in about 15 minutes as they said. But i think staff could be a little more friendly. Each time I have been there I never saw their smiles unfortunately. And the lunch special which comes with a spring roll and a soup is a little over $14. To be honest $14 can buy more and better in many other places. For that price I'd expect a little more than what was served in the box. I'm saying this based on my lunch experience at other Thai restaurants. But again, their pad Thai is so tasty and i highly recommend it.

I've been wanting to try Siam Square for a while and finally got around to trying it. I ordered the Drunken Noodles with beef and got it to go. It was ok - I have definitely had better and probably will stick to my regular Thai place, House of Thai. The tomatoes were a weird addition to the dish. I am not sure if that's typical, but drunken noodles I've had other places didn't have them. I didn't care for that and ended up picking them out. I would eat here again to try something else, but probably won't go out of my way to get it.

This place is one of my favorites for Thai food. I don't get me wrong. Indianapolis does have a few good Thai spots, but this one is my go to. It's kind of small on the inside so I usually get my food to go, but if you have a chance to sit inside and enjoy your food, that's what I recommend you do.

I have been here so many times that I can't believe I haven't reviewed it yet. Ah well, better late than never. Siam Square is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in Indy, and I am THRILLED they made it through the pandemic! I have never had a bad or even mediocre meal here - everything is delicious. In fact, EVERY time my husband and I eat here I can't stop talking about it afterwards. Their food makes my taste buds sing, it's so yummy and satisfying. And there are loads of vegetarian and gluten free options, so that's a huge plus. The service is always good, and it's nice when you can actually meet the owners because they are working as well. They have even fit us in a couple of times for dinner just before they closed, which was super nice. We will continue to dine here regularly to support this great business.

Great people who kept their workers safe and did curbside pickups to keep customers healthy. Quality is still the same as before the pandemic. Get the Pad Pong Galee. Trust me. It's delicious and worth the money. Lunch specials come with Tom Yum soup and an egg roll.

Well, I should have written a review for Siam Square years ago because it is by far my favorite Thai restaurant in Indy. I made my way back over to the Fountain Square area to dine in and was very pleased, as usual! We were seated right away for dinner, and dug into our appetizers very quickly! We ordered both the Fresh and Fried Spring Rolls and they were fantastic. Although I love a crispy roll, the fresh rolls were really just so - FRESH and full of flavor. I could eat these any day. For entree, I went with the Masaman Curry with Chicken. It was a bit sweeter than I remembered, but I'll blame that on my own memory - but watch out if you prefer a more savory curry, and don't be afraid to boost the heat level a bit to add balance. It was delicious nonetheless, with a rich coconut and curry broth. I was *this* close to ordering the incredible Roti Roll dessert, but decided not to splurge. However, I highly recommend this treat!

We stopped here last minute b/c so many places were closed or crowded and I'm glad we did! The food was great and the service was even better! We were taken care of by not just our server Emma but two other servers as well! We shared the firecracker shrimp, the potstickers and spring rolls and as my entree, I had the drunken noodles - all delicious! Everyone enjoyed their food! I didn't know wine came in a can, it did not disappoint! I can't wait to stop in again!
