The 24 Best Restaurants in Monterrey, Mexico | Eater

"Sibau is Spanish chef Bruno Oteiza’s novel and personal take on Northern Mexican cuisine. His more daring dishes include oysters with ponzu-marinated toro tuna, tangerine and serrano chili, and pulpo tacos with bone marrow and roasted salsa verde. The sophisticated dining area features zigzag graphic flooring, gray marble walls, and velvet indigo chairs. Outdoors, the verdant terrace offers a completely different mood, ideal for evening cocktails. Don’t miss the homey habanero cream soup, served in a sourdough bread bowl. It had been a long time since I experienced something so delightful. Sibau offers a true culinary journey where every bite bursts with flavors, each one perfectly balanced and thoughtfully crafted. The service is just as exceptional—the staff take the time to explain each dish in detail and are always kind, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Among the dishes we tried, I can confidently say these were the best ravioli we’ve had in the city—rich, flavorful, and unforgettable. Every plate reflects both creativity and precision, making the whole experience memorable. Considering the outstanding quality of the food, the prices are more than fair, and I would gladly return to explore more of the menu. Sibau is without a doubt a place worth revisiting and recommending.

Really different from what you’ll typically find in MTY in terms of flavor. Love their creativity. (The food is great). Would come back.

The service here was excellent, there was always a waiter ready to attend us. The food was really good as well. We were treated with some delicious bite sized pies es before even ordering. Then started with the ibérico pork ham with some tomato bread. Next we had a crunchy, spicy roll. Both ceviches were delicious, though I leaned more towards the lubina with tiger milk. We ordered some tostadas and tacos which were delicious and they also had some really nice sauces. Lastly we had some fried calamari which had a very colorful and tangy sauce which I loved. All that accompanied with some Parmesan fries.

We both tried the tasting menu and we both were very happy with it...After reading reviews before hand we decided to start with the habanero cream... It was just spicy enough and served in a bread bowl that we really liked...Yes the portions are small on the tasting menu however the dishes had so many levels of texture and flavor that I couldn't wait for the next plate...if I had any complaint I did not like the decor way to dark and terribly uncomfortable chairs.

Very posh location. Staff was friendly and very attentive. Definitely somewhere to go hangout with a group of friends for drinks. The food was good, lots of mixed flavors. Modernized kitchen with an "artist" approach at plating kept every dish interesting.

Monterrey’s newest hotspot is here and the “fresa” crowd has come out to play. But like most shiny objects, when you look beyond the spectacle it’s hard to find much significance. While Sibau’s fancy veneer and glam are great for the Gram, its menu inevitably disappoints. (Although, the ceviche app and corn cake dessert were a pleasant surprise.) With its crazy prices and its horribly uncomfortable dining chairs, you’ll be sure to leave with your backside broken. So inevitably, I’ll classify this as “caro por gusto” and encourage my sensible friends to stay away. But if you’re looking for “peligro,” there’s plenty to go around in Sibau.

A very fancy bar with a beautiful terrace. There are plenty of fans to keep you cool so one can comfortably sit outside. The service here is 5 star and you couldn't wish for more attentive staff. I ordered a pink dragon, which was was refreshing and delicious. Drinks are certainly priced reasonably for the place. I didn't try any of the food, but from gazes cast at other tables, it looks delicious

Yelp
Great service and delicious food. The place has a lovely atmosphere and a nice vibe. The only downside was the drink size--it was very small considering the price. Overall, a pleasant experience, though a bit on the expensive side.

Yelp

Yelp
This is simply an amazing and unique restaurant. First of all the ambiance is cool and trendy. The service is professional and the waiters make you feel like you're a star. They anticipate want you need and when, very impressive service. The food is varied and seems to be Mexican with different fusions of sort. We shared appetizers: braised beef and Brie and secondly anchovy delights. They were unique and delicious. For the main I had Yucatán suckling pig. The meat was seasoned with a unique spice concoction and cooked slowly so that it just broke apart with ease and was one of the most unique pork dishes I ever ate. The dish came with a variety of dipping sauces to adds different twist to every bite. For dessert I had their home made banana gelato. This was a memorable dessert and absolutely refreshing. If you want to try some unique dishes this is the place to visit.

Yelp
Great culinary experience, most of what I tried was recommended by my server. However....., and maybe a but, I do no eat carbs and they would not accommodate a substitution for "anything" green. So a recommendation to the chef... youngsters, most of the crowed at my time of visit, do not understand that a restaurant accommodates it's guests not the other way around. Would definitely recommend, as long as you keep in mind, it's my way or the highway. BTW came as per a recommendation of the chef at the JW Marriott where I stay on my visits to MTY. Buen provecho!

Yelp
Stopped for a quick bite and drink and was amazed with all of it. Design, mood, drinks, food, service, etc. This place is a must if your in San Pedro. Must do at least two cocktails since they are all amazing.
