This is our second time dining at Sicilian Oven, we are new to the area. Sicilian oven does not disappoint from the friendly Manager, hostess and server team. They expertly serve you all the way through to the end of the meal with a smile on their face and an aim to please. Dining is both a pleasure and a memorable experience. Great for a date night, family gathering, or get together with friends. Expect a bustling large dining room, jampacked with diners. This place is hopping because of how good it is, and will always be the same no matter what time you arrive. Don't come here if you want an elegant quiet meal. The ambience is alive with locals, enjoying their favorite spot in a casual setting. Ask about the menu items. Because by simply reading the menu, you may not fully understand every entree available. The first time we dined we ordered the famous salad and pizza which was very good. But, this time we went with friends, who have been coming to Sicilian Oven for years, and they led the way to a wide selection of entree dishes which made the meal ever so special. The portion size is medium to large and flavor is unique and delicious for each dish:
SICILIAN SALAD = served family style & so chock-full of olives, garbanzo, walnuts, peppers, and many other goodies all coated with a brilliant sweet Italian dressing. It is a hit, and one of their most popular items. A must have!
TUSCAN BREAD = warm and soft football shaped flat bread with multiple cloves of whole roasted garlic, shaved Parmesan and drizzle of olive oil. Sliced in thin strips, served at the perfect temperature to melt in your mouth. Score!
RICE BALL = Sicilian classic, my dinner companions grandmother made rice balls exactly this same way in the old country, and she will not eat rice balls anywhere else. Stuffed with meat, sauce and cheese served with a side of heavenly bolognaise. One piece is great for an appetizer or share item, I could make a whole meal from two. Decadent!
SHRIMP PASTA w WHITE WINE = huge fresh shrimp, with delicate coating of breadcrumbs over a bed of spaghetti with lemony garlic white wine sauce. Incredible flavor!
CERVALLATA SAUSAGE & BROCCOLI RABE = mildly seasoned thin sausage rope,coiled into 2 pancake size discs over a mountain of broccoli rabe and peppers. Comfort food!
EGGPLANT PARMIGIANA = two stacked mounds of thinly sliced fried eggplant with crispy mozzarella encrusting & setting next to a pool of gravy - red sauce. Rustic Warmth!
