The food is excellent. Attentive service. One of the best local style dining serving local flavors. This a good to take your family or visitors. Best for family and group since all the dishes are served family size portions.

Google
Easily the best Fried Chicken I've had in my life. So good my family returned to order some to-go our last night in Oahu. Do yourself a favor and make sure to get at least one order of the Signature Spicy Garlic Fried Chicken. I honestly wished we'd ordered two!

Michelle Mitton

Google
Dinner was served family style, with large servings of fried rice, yakisoba, pork chops, fries chicken, edamame, salad, and beef kalbi--all so tender and delicious, sweet and sour, a wonderful mix of Hawaiian, Japanese, Filipino, and Korean flavors. The dessert menu was delicious. I personally liked the lilikoi creme brulee better than the chocolate brownie sundae but the others in our group disagreed and thought the brownie was best. Among all that meat and all those flavors I would probably want the recipe for the salad the most--it had interesting things like taro chips and had such a light and unique flavor. I'd love to come back for that alone!

You want the best of local cuisine, this is the place. The locals love it here. We all know Side Street Inn On Da Strip! It’s a must go to when in Honolulu!

Google
A perfect place for large family style dinning. The garlic chicken is a must try, but everything we had on the happy hour menu was delicious. Such friendly staff.

Google
We came here for dinner on a Friday night. Restaurant was very busy but they managed to seat us within 30 minutes! Generous portions. The food was great and so were the drinks! I didn't care for the peanut butter brownie dessert. The brownie tasted off itself especially the texture but the entrees made up for that.

Google
Really wonderful spot with massive portions so it was great for our group of 6. We did the family style menu to share plus a few sides and we had tons leftover. Almost everything had fish or pork so I do not recommend for vegetarians or vegans.

Google
This place is awesome. Family style portions and full of flavor. If you leave this place still hungry you're doing it all wrong. I can't wait to go back and try more.

Yelp
Food, Service and Ambiance. I have eaten here for years. Great place to take the family or meet friends.

Yelp
Food was very good and large portions. Service fast. Ambiance a little too noisy for my taste but ok.

Yelp
Not gonna lie. This place looked sus when I came here the first time a year ago. There was no way you could convince me that this place was good. You have to valet your car if you drove. It feels a bit hidden. The elevator is small and doesn't look safe. And when you walk in, it doesn't have the energy I've seen in other places. But let me tell you... The moment that first plate hit the table. I was a believer. I knew it was going to be 5 stars. The plates are big and it's meant to be family style. Each plate is about 25ish dollars each. And each plate was so delicious, I wanted to lick it clean. Over the two visits, I might have ordered every meat off of the menu. Some of the ones I would absolutely recommend include: Fried chicken Boneless kalbi Fried rice The drinks are okay. The staff are hustling. With the amount of people in the place, it makes sense. There's also sometimes a backlog of food leaving the kitchen because the place is packed. The bathroom requires a code where you can find posted around the place or just ask the wait staff. After the first time I went last year, I made it a point to come back here the first night I was back in town. 6 stars if I could give it. Don't sleep on this place. Bring a full appetite and enjoy some of the best food I've had on the island.

Yelp
We've eaten at side street inn a handful of times before. They give large, family style portions, which makes it great for gatherings. Their fried rice is delicious. For Christmas we decided that we wanted to cater instead of cook for our family party. Everyone chipped in money towards the meal. I ordered party pans of fried rice, furikake crusted fish, Teri beef, garlic chicken, and Chinese chicken salad. Everything was delicious. The Teri beef tasted just like their boneless kalbi, but for a better price. The order was ready at the time promised and they helped me to my car. I am very happy with the service and food.

Yelp
Best chicken in the area. Portions are outrageously huge though so be warned! I suggest going with 4 people minimum. Clams and poke were also excellent.

Yelp
Decades ago we would go to the Ala Moana restaurant but this was our first time here. We tried once before but the parking attendant said 5 pm. We were too early. 8 of us arrived after a Dance Showcase ended after 7 pm. Lots of customers on long tables but not packed. We got the family style package and there were even left overs. Our food came out promptly. Our server was attentive. We asked for another ketchup in a small paper round ( since grandson double dipped) but server said it wasn't possible. The French fries were a hit with the kiddies. I liked the fried rice and salad. The edamame, pork chops and kalbi(abit charred) were okay. An option to bring a group to eat last minute if you're in the Kapahulu area. There was a group leaving from another room. Grandson got up and went to hug his pediatrician Such a nice man he came to our table and connected with everyone. What a nice way to welcome the holiday season, granddaughter's performances and seeing Dr. Sumida. Season's Greetings every one.

Yelp
I always love to get a group of people together and eat side street, there isn't anything on island that is the same. I just wish the ala Moana location was still doing its lunch plates, it's hard to get my fix if I have a craving and it's just me. This last time I did takeout at least with friends and it was good to do the ohana pack which was pork chop, garlic chicken and the fried rice. We then added on the salad and brownie crunch. Ideal place for a large party, just make sure you make a reservation.

Yelp
A popular pau hana (after work ) where locals would gather round for some drinks and pupus ( small bites) . This place is still lively as I still remember from the first time I've visited . There's always a waitlist . We got lucky this time . The aunties there hook us up. Parking is down stair below the building . This place is known for Hawaiian grinz such as poke , kalbi, loco moco , pork chops , fried rice , and yakisoba . You may or may not know but Hawaii is king for carbs . If you looking to shave some extra weight off . This isn't the place for you . Food was AMAZING and the portion size were HUGE. We had three people and we had to take some home . Poke was fresh and the spicy mayo coating wasn't as thick . You can still taste the fish . The works fried rice is one savory umami bomb. It had bacon , char siu , lap cheong , Portuguese sausage , and Kim chee stirred fried with some oyster sauce as a finishing touch . The halpia custard was my favorite dessert as it had that almond tofu texture . Dishes we ordered : Combo poke -shoyu style and spicy mayo The Works fried rice -Combined with Bacon, Portuguese Sausage, Char Siu, lap cheung, Kim chee, Green Onions, Peas & Carrots Famous Pan-Fried Pork Chops Halpia custard Liliko'i Cream brûlée

Yelp
If you're looking for a delicious family feast, then I 100% recommend Side Street Inn! Had a celebratory lunch after the 2024 Honolulu Marathon and it was well deserved! Our hunger was satisfied! We ordered Prix Fixe Menu; which is served family style. This includes: - Edamame - Farmers Salad (this was delicious!!) - Signature Fried Rice (a muuust get!) - Garlic Chicken - Famous Pan Fried Pork Chops - Kalbi We also ordered their Furikake Fish of the Day which was tender and nicely battered to a crisp! The portions were perfect for a family of 4-5 people! We even had left overs, too! Each dish lived up to its name and all came out in a timely matter. The location is sort of hidden, so just be on a lookout for their sign. They are located in some business building I think so the parking lot is probably shared. Once you get inside though, the place is huge! They even have space to host a somewhat big party! Service was 5/5. It was my first time here but it won't be my last! Mahalo Side Street Inn!

Yelp
OMG. Deliciousness. Came here with some friends and we got the family style meal of Chef Colin's classics. It is a feast. So. Much. Good. Food. Plenty to share...and still have leftovers. This set menu includes edamame, farmer's salad, signature fried rice, pan-fried pork chops, boneless Kalbi beef, and spicy garlic chicken. I loved it all. The farmers salad, surprisingly yummy and healthy. The signature fried rice is signature for a reason - so good. The edamame appetizer also really good. BUT you have to try the garlic chicken! I loved it. Honestly, it was all so good. I think it could feed more than three or four people easily but it sure was nice for us to all. Be able to take home leftovers and eat it again. We also got dessert, which was delicious! The vibe of the place is very cheers like ... just feels comfortable and warm and buzzing with people. It's popular and I would recommend reservations, especially on the weekends.
google avatar

Richard A.

Yelp
The meal was delicious. It's served family style. The chicken was moist and crispy. The pork chops were also cooked to perfection and flavorful. The salad was fresh and also had little shrimp. The fried rice was huge and full of flavor. The meal without drinks came to $26 per person with the tip. Parking lot was next door. $2.85 for two hours

Yelp
OMG - do you know how many times we've literally walked passed this place in the last 15 years, on our way to some other restaurant... So many times! So we basically ran outta quick places to go from our hotel in Waikiki and finally gave in... We'd heard about the gigantic portions and the bro'sy atmosphere... Happy to report. It's all true. The portions are hugantuous! We could've sat there for another day and still not finished the huge portions of fried rice and fried pork chop. But also happy to report that the food was quite good. No worries at all there... Now would we come back? Parking in this area is atrocious. The dining room ambiance itself was not for us... Service was friendly enough but this is more diner chic vs. fine dining. Maybe we would come back if we had 10 of our best friends with us... In any case, this is still good eats that you probably should try at least once (and maybe only once)... especially if you've already tried all the rest like us.
google avatar

Eryn M.

Yelp
Locals and tourists favorite! There's always a wait here and very rare that you get seated right away without having to wait. Even their reservation list gets pretty packed especially on weekends! You can always call in an order for pick up tho! Works every time we do it. Our fav things to order and almost always a MUST are: Garlic Fried Chicken, Signature Fried Rice, Kalbi & Teri Beef. They're a little pricey but their serving size makes up for it. Definitely on the family style side. They also offer a set menu-- where a list of things are already picked out for you. Their set menu is good for a family of 6-10 people. Only thing you pick out is the portion sizes. I've tried this one too and it's really good for your buck. We got to try a little of bit of everything on the menu and we had plenty of leftovers after too! One thing that I've noticed recently is that they are not consistent with their flavors. The last few times we went, it just didn't hit the same. The flavors were not there. Very disappointing! I can only hope that the flavors will be there the next time we come back.

Yelp
Always great food and drinks. Highly recommend. Clean, consistent, and delicious. Easy parking nextdoor.

Yelp
Please see my previous review. The food is just as amazing as ever. The prix fixe menu has increased from $120 to $155 since the last time I visited. ($155 for Chef Colin's Classics prix fixe menu as of August 2024) We went as a group of 6, and still had leftovers. Can't wait to visit again soon!

Yelp
Family style! I went here for a business dinner. The family style sounds great but being gluten free - I was extremely limited to what I could eat on that menu...pork chop, salad and edamame was it. I tried to even get something on the regular menu in addition but something as easy as a poke bowl isn't gluten free. Unfortunately the atmosphere isn't as enjoyable and pretty sterile. Nothing warm and welcoming. I also was disappointed that we had roughly 16-20 people in our party and the seating at the long tables isn't very conducive to socializing with everyone. Very popular with the locals though and this place was recommended by a local to our company.

Lisann M.

Yelp
This visit this time was superb!! The food was perfect. The Famous Pork Chop was the tenderest it's ever been. The Farmers Salad was crispy and Cold. Kalbi at its finest. Kim Chee mmmm. Fried Rice fresh and perfect! Everything was perfect! For Dessert we ordered the Bread Pudding! Mmmmm. P'nut butter One was Ono Ono.. I'm so satisfied with this visit. Service was 5 Star. Our WAITER CHAD was attentive and genuine. On top of everything! Refills, check back and all the things you expect from the hospitality industry. 's Our ohana eats out every Sundays. Side Street will definitely be on the top of our list! Mahalo for providing some of the best food on the islands!

Yelp
This is a MUST STOP in Hawaii but be forewarned - it is expensive and family style. We got the Sidestreet Inn fried rice and Fried Pork chops, and paid $62 out the door. It fed 2 people with leftovers coming with us on the way home to LAX. I would say the eat-in is much better than the takeout . By the time we walked down the Ala Wai back to our spot the food was already cold and all lol If you are doing takeout, call 20-30 min in advance because thats the minimum wait. I was sad because I should have gotten a lup cheong fried rice. I think that's the best thing on the menu at least for me. Worth every penny

Yelp
FAVORITE RESTAURANT. We come here for every birthday and celebration because of the great food and family style meals. We always get the set combo and always perfect amount of food for the suggested plus 2 or 3. Our server, Chad, was so helpful with giving us recommendations for non-meat dishes. We definitely come here often but ensure to make a reservation. The parking situation is either app-hourly park or valet :( They have separate room to eat in for a more intimate experience but there are also big booths.

Yelp
Bomb service! Bomb Food! Bomb place to eat! Had a great day with the fam and was in a great mood! Sunday football specials and football on TVs all over the area hahaha place was kept clean. The staff were really really helpful, quick, n nice! Food was hot fresh and always a great family about to share. My family enjoyed the food and our time!

Yelp
Side Street Inn is an absolute must every time I land in Honolulu! It's the first stop on my itinerary, and it never disappoints. The *fried pork chops* and *The Works fried rice* are staples for us--crispy, flavorful, and absolutely addictive. Portions here are generous, so make sure to come hungry and bring a crowd. Sharing is the way to go, and no matter what you order, you're in for a treat. We've never had a bad dish, and we always leave with leftovers to enjoy later--a bonus! Side Street Inn captures the perfect mix of comfort food and local flair. If you're looking for a hearty meal that will satisfy and leave you planning your next visit, this is the place to be. Can't recommend it enough!

Yelp
Service was good. Waitress was spunky and attentive. The restaurant needs a better central air system. It was hot! Bathrooms were stinky. Seemed like a plumbing issue. Big turnoff since the bathrooms that are available are near the entrance of the restaurant. Parking is either $7 valet in building structure or paid parking in parking lot next to building makai side. Parking lot is poorly lit but it's pretty big. We went yesterday on a Saturday at 730pm and still had a good amount of parking. The restaurant was pretty packed when we got there. We didn't make a reservation so we had to wait for a table. Food comes family style and comes in "huge, heaping" servings (waitress' words) that feed 3-4 people. We were a party of three and we were full with leftovers at the end of our meal. Kalbi and kimchee- kimchee was actually really good. Good flavor but coulda used a bit more spice for me. Kalbi meat seemed soaked for days. Flavor of the marinate is good but can't taste any of the meat. Sautéed mushrooms- they were just ok and I am a mushroom LOVER. I was not in love with this. Fried rice- nothing spectacular about it. Not too much flavor but it wasn't the worst. Dessert special: three cream puffs- there were three of us so we split the cream puffs. They were actually really gross. The pastry was too salty, the cream filling was like crappy, thick buttercream frosting made with salted butter and not enough sugar. The best part of this dessert was the chocolate sauce and whipped cream on top and there wasn't enough of that to make up for the rest of it. The place was loud and crowded. Not really an intimate setting. That large parties of 6-10. This place is pretty family friendly even with a bar. It also seems like it would be a cool place to stop into after work with some awesome coworkers and have some food and maybe a few drinks.

Yelp
Come here hungry! And bring friends with you! More than one friend. This restaurant serves massive portions of food, so it's best if you're bring your entire village with you, seriously! It is a family style restaurant, so the dining room is always packed with groups and you rarely see people come here alone nor party of two people. Well, we did. I'm so full and happy though. It's menu is full of comfort food and the portions are incredible. Taste wise awesome, Price wise super competitive! This evening the two of us ordered crispy fried breaded chicken gizzards, "the works" fried rice, side street signature garlic fried chicken. I love the chicken gizzards, I think that was one of the two best chicken gizzards I've had anywhere at anytime! The other one is at 707 Korean restaurant in SF (on Sutter Street). Except side street version is breaded and fried where 707 version is grilled. "The works" fried rice was a little bit on the sweet side but it was very good. The signature garlic fried chicken was very good as well. I definitely recommend you not coming here with less than three people. But you can always ask for the To Go boxes to bring the leftover home. I recommend Side Street Inn.

Yelp
How is it that we eat at Side Street Inn every time we visit Oahu and I've never written a review? Big apology to Side Street for not sharing your amazing restaurant, delicious food and friendly staff to other Yelpers until now. On a recent trip to Oahu to attend a wedding, we purposely flew in a couple of days early to give us time to enjoy our Honolulu favorites. A party of 13 of us came here for dinner on a Friday night. I called and made ressies about a month before arrival so we were immediately seated upon arriving. This promptness already earns Side Street a star as this is the level of promptness we get each time we make a ressie. Often times at other restaurants, there is a wait even with a ressie. Upon seating, our server came over right away to see if she could get some drinks started for us. She came back 5-10 minutes later to take our food order. We opted for 2 poke combos (shoyu and spicy mayo), 1 Chinese chicken salad, 1 signature fried rice, 1 yakisoba, 1 garlic chicken, 2 boneless kalbi and 2 pan fried pork chops. Don't let the small order for 13 people fool you. Portions at Side Street are huge!! We always end up having a lot of leftovers when we eat here. To our amazement, we did a perfect job ordering. We had just a little fried rice left when everyone was done. A couple of us opted for coffee and dessert. A signature peanut butter crunch and a crème brûlée was ordered. Overall, another excellent experience with fantastic food! The only item I wouldn't order again is the Chinese chicken salad. It wasn't dressed enough and was just a heap of cabbage, bean sprouts, shredded chicken, carrots and cilantro. My favorite, as usual, is the pan fried pork chop which is served with a side of ketchup. Great place to dine with a big party as the portions are definitely for sharing. Make a ressie if possible as this place gets really busy. Valet parking in the garage below the restaurant is available for $7.

Yelp
Food was 10/10!! Made a reservation a few days in advance and I'm so glad we did! We split the garlic chicken, pork chops, teriyaki beef, Yakisoba, and fried rice between 5 men and 2 women and we finished everything except for half of the fried rice and Yakisoba. The teriyaki beef was sooo tender and yummy. My favorite was forsure the garlic chicken though. The Yakisoba was surprisingly flavorful, surprising because the noodles don't look like too much sauce was added. Side street inn always provides good service and a family restaurant vibe. 10/10 would always recommend!!

Yelp
What a great find. Food is spectacular. Tons of food. Great service and the value for what you get is amazing. We took home about as much as what we ate there.

Yelp
The food here is delicious and will make you want to take a nap after. I was visiting my family when they suggested we eat at Side Street Inn. The portions were crazy huge! We had to take some home still because of how big they were. Everything was delicious though, the fried rice and korean fried chicken were my favorite, but I'll be honest. I love fried chicken any day! Inside is a very family friendly atmosphere, lots of big tables and chairs, so if you have a big party, this is a great spot.
google avatar

Alyssa T.

Yelp
A great place for family style meals. The food quality is really high and every dish is both cooked and seasoned perfectly. I always love how fresh everything is as well. It's definitely better when you have more people with you so that you can try more of the dishes.

Yelp
Had a small fam reunion with mainland relatives. What better place than Side Street Inn for drinks and local kine food for the visitors who miss the local food? Service - Awesome. We ran into traffic and called to let them know we'd be late for our reservations at 5pm and they assured us it was ok. It was a Friday eve, but still early enough that it wasn't packed, yet. Appreciate the valet parking (but there is a public lot right next to building, too). Hostesses and server were so friendly and helpful. Started with drinks and the Smoked Marlin dip with crostini (think this is a daily special) and fried gizzards! (IYKYK) everyone enjoyed them, even the non-gizzards eaters. They were tender inside (not as chewy/tough as expected) and super crispy fried and tasty even without the sauce (ketchup?) and a spicy salt, but both were good. Marlin dip was good, but not amazing. Still, good enough to consider getting it again. One person got Tiki Tiki, rums (2 kinds) mango purée, sour mix, guava juice. Was tasty. Rest of us ordered standard beers or hard liquor. Had a Jim Beam double to start, a single refill later that seemed just as full as the double (but was charged for a single per our great server). Our entrees were their standard favs - the amazing fried rice that can feed an army, fried chicken (pieces were a little larger than we remembered, smaller would be better for sharing), fried pork chops (everyone's fav). Dessert was a brownie brownie brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate. It was very good, and probably would have been amazing if we weren't so full. Two pupu dishes and three mains for six of us and we still had leftovers. We left happy.

Yelp
My go-to for years! My favorites are their yakisoba and boneless kalbi, but literally everything on the menu is amazing!! I was so excited that they added a happy hour menu and it did not disappoint. The happy hour prices are so reasonable, the food is so delicious and the service is amazing. Definitely check this place out, you will not regret it!

Yelp
Simply put, GREAT food, GREAT service in an awesome setting. You could throw darts at a menu and end up with a fantastic meal and probably leftovers. Staff is always friendly and very helpful. One of my local favorite.

Yelp
Side Street Inn - On the Strip (Kapahulu) Overall: **** Recommended **** Food: **** Value: ** ($32 for 1 lbd. pork chops?) Menu: *** (before Covid was larger) Ambiance: *** (packed with people) Service: **** Parking: **** (valet, self or street) Side Street Inn has some of the the best bar foods on the island with many local favorites. They have a good variety and most of the food is tasty. The portions are large, and the price is hefty. It's best go with a large group, So, you can have a larger variety of dishes. The restaurant is family friendly and set up for large parties. If you're a visitor and want to try "local" dishes, Side Street is the place. The foods are the same at both locations. The Kapahulu is newer, larger and they also have party rooms. We use to go regularly, but their prices have just gotten ridiculous! You can get most of the dishes at other restaurants, with better taste, and for less. Or, I can cook it at home for 1/4 the cost. The hours are more like a restaurant than a bar: Open Monday-Friday 4 PM - 8:30 PM & Saturday-Sunday 11 AM - 8:30 PM (as of 4/2024). RATINGS & RECOMMENDED ORDER: Hoisin Ribs = A (not as good as Roy's) Pork Chops = A Farmer's Salad = A Garlic Chicken = B Potato/Mac Salad = B Fried Rice = B Miso Chicken = B Sizzling Boneless Kalbi = B, but expensive Teri Beef = C Garlic Fries = C Edamame = D (no flavor) Yelp: https://yelp.to/OU6dpp7lzu Website: https://sidestreetinn.com/home/ YELP: Milton K Sorry! Yelp allows only one 12 second video & the remaining to 3 seconds, with maximum of 10 pictures/videos. The full video and pictures of the entire menu can be found on other platforms/apps: MiltonIn808 RATINGS KEY: A = Really Good - one of the best B = Good - would order again C = ok - similar, nothing special D = Not very good - wouldn't order F = Terrible - avoid

Yelp
You'd think that because a restaurant has been around for YEARS that the reviews might change. BUT Side Street Inn is the exception. Every time - no matter the day of the week, the busy night, the dinner rush... Side Street Inn always hits! Tonight was no exception. Party of 4 - not too many kine. Drinks, pupus brah you know they got it and it's hittin'. If you want the BEST PORK CHOP on da island... come here!!!

Yelp
We celebrated the birthday of one of our neighbors at Side Street Inn. My experience today was totally opposite of my last visit. We were greeted and taken to one of their private rooms. The seating was comfortable, and the air-conditioning was perfect. The buffet table was set up to one side of the room. The food presentation was excellent for a buffet. Our host ordered from the prefix menu. The first food item on the line was edamame beans. Followed buy a toss green salad. Next up was the fried rice. Then, Chinese roast pork, fried pork chops, fried garlic chicken, and rounding out the buffet line were the boneless Kalbi. Bread pudding was served after our meal. The service was great, the food was great. Enjoy

Yelp
Came during happy hour and the prices are a steal! Portion was perfect for two. We got the fried rice, garlic chicken, and furikake fish. Service was fast but kind of unfriendly? No frills sports bar with a ton of TVS. Bar was full of sport goers. This is definitely a good place for family style if you went with a group. It looks like everyone comes in large parties because their regular portions are insanely large. Only downside is it's $7 for valet parking only.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years and I can't believe I haven't written a review. I love Side Street Inn, just a great place if you are hungry and want to eat good food. They always have great specials that are interesting. The highlight is always the Kalbi beef, market price today is $41 for boneless & $50 for bone expensive but very tasty. I also love the garlic chicken, tender & garlic is flavorful. Service is awesome, always fast and servers are friendly and helpful. Recommend valet for $7, great deal and no stress.

Yelp
Huge portions. Actually, massive. I would say to shoot for 3:1 ratio so for every one item ordered -- aim to feed a minimum of three people. I was told this spot is a local favorite, and I can see why. No fluff. No shade. Just big portions of anything ordered on the menu, good hospitality, and a relaxed environment. There is a full bar for those looking to catch a game or to have some down time via the big screen TVs. Valet parking only. Bring cash for that or have CashApp readily available. Two hour limit per guest. Last call for food and drinks is approximately 9pm every day.

Yelp
Great place to take our of town guests or to meet friends or family for a nice family style meal. Reservations are recommended but we didn't have any and was able to walk in w a party of 4 at 5 pm on a saturday evening. Valet parking for $7 which to me is easier than looking for street parking. Their famous Pork chops is always a must get! We also got kalbi ($42 market price) and fried rice, "the works" which is their regular fried rice plus kim chee and lup cheong. Everything is family style. Also had a lychee martini which was yummy! This place is always packed and food is always great here!

Yelp
Located off of Kapahulu street, this quiet location is a great place for parties, dinner or just hanging out. Reservations are a must and there's a 2 hour time limit. But while you're there, expect to have some great food! From their roast pork poke to yakisoba and of course the famous pan fried pork chops, all the dishes are hot and delicious! Ordering is by the dish ( a la carte for the more experienced diners) but the portions are very generous and good to share. The service is great ! Despite having two large parties to take care of, our server stopped by frequently. This is a great sports bar as well with large screen tvs on the walls, tuned to the latest games. Highly recommend to visit. They have valet parking for $7 (not including tip) and it's better to do this than hunt for hours to find streetside parking. Plus after you're done eating, going for a long walk won't be on your list of things to do. Lol! Great place to go!

Yelp
I'm going to sound like such a fan boy here but this is one of the first places I can't wait to eat at whenever we're on the island. In my eyes, it's been consistent since my first experience back in 2012. The fried rice, ohhhh the fried rice. So so good and irresistible. The fried pork chops, or the fried chicken, depending on preferences, absolutely delicious and not overwhelming. Perhaps my favorite combo though, the fried rice with the sizzling boneless short rib. Ugh man it's obsession. Kimchi here is also super yummy and helps cleanse the palate after each bite. The service is awesome, super chill vibes, and this office building location feels way more accessible and convenient. Oh and do get yourself a basket of fries. So good lol. Huge portions, great service, and it really does feel like the place you'd go after a long day/shift or with the fam. A 10/10 from me. Anthony Bourdain never misses.

Yelp
First dinner on the island. Man! What a way to start. Food is fabulous. It is served family style so portions are quite big. These two dishes couldn't be finished. Place is a bit hard to find even though it's on a main road. Parking is in the rear. Valet $7. Straight up recommend. Lots of locals and families.

Yelp
Food is always good and plentiful. just found their Happy Hour menu and its smaller portions of all their favorites. always make a reservation. we went without one but went early, 4:45 pm. they seated us but told us we had a two hour limit because of reservations. really, I don't need to be told that. there were only two of us and no one would it even take us an hour to eat. still, it was a delicious meal. convenient paid parking under the building on Kapiolani.

Yelp
This hidden gem is amazing! A local spot that I learned from my cousin while visiting Hawaii. My family reserved a two long table for my nephew's high school graduation. They're only open for dinner and it start at 4pm. You need to make a reservation to avoid waiting in line as this place gets busy quick. Parking is limited but free. Oh my, the food was all delicious. She pre-ordered and it made a huge difference. Our waitress was fast and friendly. The service was on point and the food came out quick. We were eating them as they would come out. It's a family style so the portion was huge and enough to go around. They're know for their pork chop and fried rice but all the food ahead ordered was so good. We left here very satisfied and will definitely return on my next visit to Hawaii.

Yelp
My family of eight went there for Christmas dinner last month. Normally, Side Street is one of my favorite spots in Honolulu. Their Christmas dinner was very disappointing. I'm assuming the normal chefs didn't work that day. For Christmas, dinner was served buffet style. If the everyday food is a 10, this buffet quality was a 2 and I'm being kind. It's too bad, I expected more. They should just take Christmas off.

Yelp
The food is amazing and the portions are big! Make sure you are hungry and bring a few people with you bc it's family style portions. Had the fried rice with kimchee, pork chops and kalbi ribs. Their combination poke was so fresh! Will definitely return when I'm back in Hawaii!

Yelp
Side Street Kitchen is a hidden gem. The fried chicken and teriyaki beef were excellent, and the fried rice was very good. Service was great, and there was plenty of seating inside. Don't be put off by its location in an office building--it's worth a visit.

Yelp
Excellent as always. The food is wonderful with large portions, and the staff is pleasant. Take an uber here as parking is challenging. Great local spot.

Yelp
Garlic chicken, signature rice, you don't need much more than that. The ribs are also very good. Everything is a huge portion so plan to share.
