Where to Eat in Bolinas, Inverness, Olema and More - Eater SF

"But then I wandered into their year-old Side Street Kitchen for an early weeknight dinner. I was happy to find starters like a delightfully fishy smoked-trout dip and crisp cups of little gems just harvested from Big Mesa Farm, then doused in a creamy-light buttermilk dressing." - Rachel Levin

Indoor or alfresco dining. You pay upfront so no waiting for a check. Roasted chicken, brussel sprouts and butterscotch pudding for dessert is my go to meal here!

While returning from point Reyes lighthouse, we made a pit stop for breakfast. The atmosphere was great, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Food was good too.

The rotisserie chicken was simply delicious! Cooked to perfection served with some rustic potatoes. The kids quesadilla was also good and quite a generous portion The staff were very friendly. It was cold outside and they promptly offered to set up the heater. It’s a simple yet cute place. If you’re nearby don’t hesitate to come!

We got the pork belly sandwich, half chicken with the sauce trio, and crispy Brussels sprouts. The yellow curry sauce was my favorite but everything was delicious and perfectly cooked.

We stopped here for an afternoon snack after an early lunch oyster stop in Marshall's. We'll definitely be back for a proper lunch, this is a quiet restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, limited menu but perfect for our needs. Great prices on wines, plenty of parking and away from the crowds. We had cauliflower pieces, tried their excellent sauces, had a chicken quesadilla and mac and cheese. Both adults and kids were happy trying out this restaurant.

While driving the PCH, we had many opportunities to stop at small towns to shop and, most importantly, eat. On this day, we had several good options and chose the Side Street Kitchen. There are plenty of menu options and reasonably priced. As with most California restaurants, we chose to sit outside and people watch while waiting for our lunch. Sandwiches were great, and I found out I am a big fan of pickled jalapeños and onions that I asked for on the side just in case. Place your orders at the counter and take a seat. Inside or outside seating is available. The beat part of lunch was the fresh apple fritters. My mouth is watering as I type this review. So good and love

We loved this place two years ago! To an extent that we drove one extra hour to this place for a second meal. However, it is a bit disappointing this time. The chicken is dry inside , not juicy like before . The apple fritter is very dry inside . The lettuce salad is not fresh ( green stem shows pinkness already ) . Service is great .

A Hidden Rotisserie gem at Point Reyes Station! Side Street Kitchen is a collaboration between Sheryl Cahill (Proprietor) and Chef Aaron Wright (Executive Chef). It all started when the previous business in this location closed in 2015. The look and feel of the place is a combination of 50s diners and modern California eateries. Their menu is small by diner standards. It offers a selection of sandwiches, entrees, and a few salads, small bites, sides, and desserts. The ingredients are all from local farms. We discovered the place a while back but did not have the opportunity to dine there until a few months ago. The food is delicious! Their roasted half chicken is fantastic! Their Quinoa Salad, which comes with feta cheese, black olives, wild arugula, and tomatoes, is delicious. I also enjoyed their side of Crispy Brussels Sprouts, which comes with a touch of parmesan, pepper, and coriander. They offer several beers, ciders, and wines if you wish to have a drink. You may consider their delicious Apple Fritters for a few extra calories and wash them with a good cup of coffee!

Yelp
Gobbled down our food. Perfect place to refuel after a 9 mile hike! Delicious, quick service, and cute ambiance. We got the Mac & Cheese, Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Buffalo Cauli "Wings", Rotisserie Tri-Tip Beef Sandwich, and Rotisserie Chicken & Potatoes. Everything was so good. My favorite was the Buffalo Cauli "Wings." My friends' favorite was the Mac & Cheese. I have no complaints. The Mac & Cheese had an amazing cheesiness with the perfect amount of al dente pasta. We added pepper to ours because... duh. The Brussel Sprouts were so crispy. The Buffalo Cali "Wings" were also very crispy and flavored amazingly. Solid sandwich but probably my least favorite out of everything. Tender and seasoned chicken with three yummy sauces. Well, it's only been a day... and I already miss this meal. I'd definitely check out Side Street Kitchen if you're looking for a comforting meal.

Yelp
On a road trip and needing a stretch break, we stopped at PR Station and checked out places for a quick lunch. That's how we walked into Side Street Kitchen. The ambiance is ok, nothing fancy, quaint'ish seating and interiors. Cleanliness can be upped a bit, our table had food residue and the chairs too had crumbs on em! Service is good, not much from the time you order till the time a host brings your order to the table - minimal kinda so not much to comment about. Food: we arrived 2 mins after breakfast hours! So we had to make a choice from the lunch menu. Food is good, pricey and options for vegetarians is a bit poor. The sourdough bread with avocado and some greens on top was scant. The Mac and cheese was ok. The potatoes were good. Overall, give this place a try. Once is good.

Yelp
TLDR: A sweet spot with the nicest crew around. Tri-tip is out of this world and the seasonal heirloom bean cassoulet is a family favorite - please bring it back again! They're super quick with takeout when you call ahead. Always try to make a stop at Side Street when we're out here. Typically open Weds - Sunday.

Yelp
Tried the tri tip tacos. Meat was warmed up and a bit on the dry side and most of the pieces were charred. The tacos were good but could have been better had the meat been freshly cooked and not burnt. Eggs in the taco were good. Just the right amount of food. Nice French press coffee. Service was excellent. Nice ambiance though wished the music was a bit lower in volume.

Yelp
I've only been here once, but the Chicken is great! Cute spot. Would come again to try more.

Yelp
Excellent. After a beautiful trip to the lighthouse I stopped into the little town down the road and discovered this gem. The food was amazing, the servers were attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was peaceful and pleasant. I'm tempted NOT to recommend this place because I don't want anyone else to come and overcrowd the seats, but since I love it so much - all I can say it is excellent.

Yelp
Great service, good food, and fast service. The salt cod salad was delicious. But- Not a fan of the 4% bill surcharge, particularly when it apparently goes for the owner not the workers. And charging $3.50 for a glass of tea without refills is highway robbery.

Yelp
This is my second visit. The food was as good as I remembered. This time I tried the Mac and Cheese for $11.00. The pasta was perfect. The sauce was thick and creamy right down to the last bite. The service is friendly and well timed. They have indoor and outdoor seating. This was on a Saturday and they were hopping busy. The vibe here is warm and friendly. You order at the cashier and they give you a table number. The interior has a fabulous mural that reflects creative people that live here.

Yelp
Side Street Kitchen gave me 'Shelter From The Storm' (IYKYK) from a recent squall in PRS and I'm so grateful I stumbled in. The staff was amazing, extremely knowledgeable, and rustled up some local smoked oysters (in applewood) in black truffle/garlic aioli--off-menu (off hours--as the local purveyors I was seeking were all shuttered up. I followed up with the cold smoked salmon/pea shoot/poached egg/capers combo and it was perfectly prepared. In sum, great food, great vibe, great staff. I'll be back.

Yelp
It was a soggy day and we were hungry after a soggy day of hiking. We were lucky and landed a table inside where it was warm and dry. Outdoor seating is also available. It's small inside and seating is limited. Order at the counter, pay, and grab a table. The food comes out quickly. We ordered the heirloom bean "cassoulet" and the spiced rock cod. Spice Seared Rock Cod at $19 was a light dish. Two small pieces of fish were placed on a bed of butter lettuce, roasted cauliflower, cherry tomatoes, radishes, arugula with salsa verde. You'll need to order some sides if you're really hungry. Heirloom Bean "Cassoulet" at $16 was a mix of perfectly cooked beans, shaved fennel, baby kale, sage, truffle butter, and four pieces of crunchy fried tofu. The truffle flavor was minimal to none, which was fine with me. It was thick and hearty for a chilly damp day. You can add bratwurst for $6 if you want it meaty. I'll be back again next time I'm in town.

Yelp
Still our favorite stop at Point Reyes Station on a weekend coastal drive. Always fresh seasonal ingredients well seasoned and prepared.

Yelp
Visited 10/18/24. When it doubt, turn to the rotisserie chicken. A couple at the table next to us said this upon us sitting down and let me just say that they were right. A cute small town joint, this place makes lots of ingredients from scratch and boasts a slightly more selective menu, thus anything you order will for sure be great. My friend and I got the mimosas (you can pour your own juice to bubbles ratio which was nice), and the cauliflower wings to start. The cauliflower wings may have been my favorite things we ate throughout the meal-lots of flavor and good coating. I then got the quinoa salad with added in rotisserie chicken while my friend got the tri-tip beef sandwich. I did get a small portion of my friend's sandwich and we agreed the meat was slightly tougher in a few places but that overall the sandwich had solid flavor. The salad made for the perfect lunch-large portion though so consider the smaller size if not too hungry. Overall I think that this place was a must stop.

Yelp
we stopped here on our way to point reyes and it was such a lovely meal! I absolutely loved the rustic but modern interior decor (especially the gorgeous bathroom) and loved the fact that the menu had so many vegetarian options. the portions were also surprisingly huge!

Yelp
Delicious Veggie "Hash" plus welcoming atmosphere, and helpful service. Thank you! And thank you for welcoming my Guide Dog Puppy, too. :)

Yelp
I came here while on a work trip with my colleagues. I ordered the sandwich. It was pretty tasty. The restaurant itself is very busy but small. The only downside is the one restroom that they have. There was a long line of people waiting to use the restroom.... But that is to be expected since it's a small restaurant. Besides from that, we all enjoyed our time here. I also tried the vegan buffalo chicken wings. It was my first time trying it and it was actually pretty good. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Yelp
Stopped here on the way for a road trip! It was such a cute breakfast place. Got the pork belly sandwich and oh boy, it was so fatty that I could only eat half of the sandwich.

Yelp
Fascinating place in the heart of Pt Reyes Station plopped quite literally on an expanse of asphalt in the middle of a parking lot. I have never seen it not crowded, but I genuinely don't understand the hype. As others have mentioned before, they run out of the bulk of menu items by noon. This includes on a random Wednesday. When we arrived just before 12 PM, they had no fish, pork belly, or falafel left (3 out of the 4 main dishes). I can't tell if this is one of those restaurant-psychology things where they create demand by not supplying enough food...? but it's really annoying, and customers have been pointing this out for a few years now. That said, there are some nice veggie, chicken, and fish options (that is, if there's any left by the time you arrive). In a pinch, do what I do, and order a child's cheese quesadilla and a salad - or make a meal out of whatever side dishes they happen to have left. Or just have dessert - although they were out of that, too :(((( There isn't much indoor seating, and the views outside are nothing to speak of, given that you're in a parking lot. We've decided that our best bet in the future is to get a sandwich at one of the local sandwich shops, and picnic on a beach nearby :) You might want to consider the same!!

Yelp
During a getaway in Marin County, my friend and I stumbled upon Side Street Kitchen. It's not overflowing with options in this area, so I was eager to try their rotisserie chicken, a personal favorite. The chicken was tasty, though I felt it could have used a touch more flavor. We also enjoyed a fresh salad that was deliciously crisp. However, the star of our meal was undoubtedly my friend's pork belly sandwich--absolute perfection! Service was speedy, allowing us to quickly return to exploring the charming town of Point Reyes. If you're looking for a fresh and efficient meal option in the area, Side Street Kitchen is worth checking out.

Yelp
Sunny side quinoa bowl was very delicious! Very good customer service - an efficient model. A great place-welcoming, love the decor - a very good feel to it!

Yelp
So it looks a little meh from the street. I'm not sure if it's the sign or the awning, but even my 72-year-old mother was like I don't think this would be a good place to eat. Fast forward to inside: very friendly wait/staff gives us menus and tells us we can sit at a table while we decide what to eat and then order at the counter. Perfect! We were starving. Menu was kinda scant, but small town small venues should do this. About 4-5 items per section. We ordered the pork belly BLT with avocado and a baby gem salad. And waters, though it appears they have a decent beer and wine selection! Food came out cuckoo quick!! We were there around 2pm, so obvs no lunch rush. Salad was fresh and delicious. Spicy edge to the herbaceous dressing. I love baby gem lettuces, so all was solid here. BLT: that pork belly was next level good folks!! Don't question, just go dive in! It was crispy, but the melty fatty goodness got ya as you chewed the meat. Holy hell. Seasoning on the pork belly was perfectly basic and on point. Sear was stupendous. Sauce on the sandwich was a little spicy and unexpected.. it was like an onion sauce with spicy something. Not advertised on the menu, but added a solid kick. Small inside, like 8 tables maybe? 1 bathroom, all gender. Plenty of outdoor seating with awnings for good weather. Wish I'd been able to try the pork belly Benedict. I'm sure that shit it ultra next level after our Sando experience. I'll be back!

Yelp
Cute Place, staff was nice and food came out pretty quick. I had the quinoa salad which was yummy but I wish it had more arugula in it, no big tho I would def eat it again. My friend had the Tri Tip Sandwich and they want everyone to know it was delicious. My other friend had the falafel on pita and she says it was good but kind of hard to eat cause it was quite literally falafel ON a pita. They give you a knife, not sure what that's for. The water cups are tiny btw it's kind of comical.

Yelp
Everything about my experience in this restaurant was perfect. The food was fantastic, and when coupled with great service, a very low wait time and a homely ambiance, it made for a perfect evening.

Yelp
Augh this place is so cute and the food and service is very good! Stopped in Point Reyes for lunch. Ordered the miso crusted cod ( i think that's what it was called) and the Pork Belly Egg Benedict. Ordering u need to wait outside at the host stand and one to two parties typically go in at a time. U order and pay first with the friendly waiter. Then u can choose a table inside or outside under the tent with heat lamps. The food came in about 15 mins. Very fresh. I loved both the dishes. The cod was not fried but covered in seaweed sesame seeds. The flavor of the broth under the noodles was light and delicious. Noodles slightly crunchy and enjoyed the cucumbers and seaweed. The pork belly was very soft and the egg cooked perfectly with oozing yolks. I enjoyed the arugula pairing. Everything was delicious wish i tried their coffee.

Yelp
This is a nice spot to come for some tasty food and a hot beverage when it's cold, wet, and rainy outside. Yesterday was my first time here, and it was a nice Oasis of welcome and comfort during the drizzly weather. There are also outside, tented seating areas, so there's room to spread out. There are big plates of half a roasted chicken for big appetites and a selection of smaller ones for less ravenous appetites. For me, a large pint-sized glass of drip coffee with a side of cream, plus steamed broccolini, plus hot bread and butter was just the thing I wanted. I think the huge roasted chicken platter would have been way too much for me. Service was good. The way it works here is you order your food at the register, pay, and then sit down at your table. When your food is ready it will be brought to you.

Yelp
Mango iced tea. Brussels sprouts and a tritip sammich. Yummm. Love little resort town restaurants are tasty

Yelp
We really enjoyed our brunch here yesterday (Sunday). Our party of 4 got there around 9am and did not have to wait--but the place was getting pretty full by then. 3 of our party ordered the eggs Benedict, and it was a winner. I ordered the Green Chilaquiles (I love green sauces) and it was pretty good. My initial impression was that there were too many chips, but that is because I started on the side with few eggs. As I made my way over to more eggs it got better. But I think I would try the bennies next time. The people working here were very nice and attentive.

Yelp
I stopped at this place because it was along the way to San Francisco from the beach I visited. I have to say the atmosphere and staff are great, friendly and welcoming. The menu could have more selection on it. However, from what I have ordered to go I can say the following. Rotisserie tri tip sandwich in my humble opinion could have had more meat on it. Also, the beef was chewy and not juicy how you would expect. I gave that sandwich three stars for flavor and composition. Side was potatoes and they were done as you would expect but had nothing extra that would make them stand out. The second sandwich I ordered to go was Pork blt. This sandwich had more flavor and the meat was juicy. However, the goat cheese on it in my opinion ruined the flavor because it is so overwhelming. The side was mac and cheese and it was as you would expect also nothing to stand out. Furthermore, I wish they would give more pickles with each sandwich because three tiny slices just dont cut it. Overall, food could be much better for the price and also being that this place is in prime spot passed by all the tourists. I expected more I guess. Staff made it somewhat better with their smiles and positive vibes.

Yelp
Friendly, clean, have water bowls for dogs. The food was way better than I expected, highly recommend the Italian sandwich.

Yelp
Out of the chicken. They offered me to get a quesadilla off the children's menu. Waiter/cashier wasn't very helpful. Minimal menu, too much red meat, not enough other options. Over priced.

Yelp
Stopped in on a trip to the lighthouse for a late lunch over Labor Day weekend and was so pleasantly surprised with this spot! The majority of my table ordered the pork belly BLT. They allowed for some of my group to sub chicken in the BLT. I had the original with the pork belly and it was a fantastic sandwich. Perfectly toasted bread, toppings were fresh, and the pork belly was a nice combo of soft and crispy. Others in my group ordered the falafel which they really enjoyed as well. They also have a good selection of drinks, the chicory coffee was perfect for a warm afternoon. The service was quick as well, you order at the counter and they seat you and bring the food to your table. The outdoor patio is also dog friendly! Would definitely come back for the BLT sandwich again.

Yelp
Never had the chance to try their chicken bec they are still roasting it. I love their patè- true needs more crackers. The rest of the food is okay. Service is quick, the guy in front is very friendly. There is an indoor and outdoor seating, it gets full quick esp when a bus of tourists will come in to eat. Food is kinda pricey too.

Yelp
Great spot for a meal especially if you're heading to Point Reyes or coming from Point Reyes! Amazing food and solid service overall. We stopped at this spot on our way to Point Reyes and luckily there wasn't much of a line at ~11:45am (though the line got quite long while we were eating). You go in to order one party at a time, and then you get a number and pick a table either outdoors or indoors to wait for your food. We opted to sit outdoors given the nice weather and how cute their outdoor dining is :) In terms of the food, I got the pork belly eggs benedict (only available on the weekends during brunch time) and my boyfriend got the pork belly BLT sandwich. Their pork belly is tender and flavorful and it was probably the highlight of both our meals. If I ever return, I would definitely opt for a pork belly entree again!

Yelp
Dined solo on a dreary Saturday at Side Street Kitchen. I love little gem lettuce and I read an article in the Washington Post this week that had me craving it. Low and behold, on a trip to Point Reyes to visit a store, I saw that this restaurant had a great looking little gem lettuce - thanks Yelp! I was greeted by extremely friendly staff members outside, checked out the menu, and then went inside to place my order: -Little gem salad with buttermilk dressing and tomatoes - add rotisserie chicken -Brussels sprouts -Golden State Cider Brut I picked a non-heated table outside - they have heaters for people who want them. Dining is also available inside. Beverage came out promptly followed by my meal about 10 minutes later. It was delicious! The salad had the right amount of dressing, rotisserie chicken was shredded and warm, and the Brussels were perfectly dressed and crispy. I look forward to returning when I'm in Point Reyes Station again!

Yelp
Surprisingly light and healthy take on a fried fish dish. I ordered the crusted rock cod over rice noodles, wakame salad, sliced cucumbers and pickled cabbage. I was so hungry I took zero pictures once the food arrived. It was devoured though and with gusto! Lots of healthy options on the menu for a lighter fare overall. I had a tough time deciding and landed here thinking it would be a little more robust dish than the falafel dish or the cassoulet. The food felt vibrant and fresh which was lovely. I'm interested to go back and try other things on the menu including dessert. Lots of interesting choices with veggies to consider so the non-meat eater should have plenty to choose from. Just off the downtown stretch, parking nearby, priced well for quality and quantity.

Yelp
Food: 4/5 - We got the pork belly Benedict (only on weekends) and the rotisserie chicken, which both were delicious. The only thing is the rotisserie chicken felt a little too heavy towards the end and the breast meat felt a little dry. Service: 5/5 - everyone here is super friendly and made sure we were comfortable. Ambiance: 5/5 - I loved the ambiance of this place! There is a mini salt lamp at each table with cute orange accents in the restaurant. It was bright and comfortable.

Yelp
The veggie hash is absolutely frickin amazingly delicious. Wow. It's basically all I get when I visit.

Yelp
We were passing through on a weekday and a lot of places were closed for lunch. This was one of the few options that didn't look over-touristy, and I was pleasantly surprised with the food and the ambiance. It's off of Highway 1 on a "side street" but there is ample parking and before or afterwards you can stroll the few little shops around. You order at the counter and there is ample seating outside, plus a few tables inside. Quite a busy hub even for a weekday lunch! The food was delicious and obviously created with care. My veggie hash was fresh and flavorful. My mom's rock cod also had a lot of flavor and was plated on a fresh green salad; she loved it. The inside decor was colorful and friendly and the outside tables held a mix of retired locals and tourists passing through. Definitely would stop here again!

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised, I honestly don't ever expect much from these types of places ( smaller towns ) . The customer service alone had me a happy camper. EVERYONE seems to be pleased to work there, from the hostess to the busboy. The food was pretty good, too. Their popular rotisserie chicken did not disappoint, and it was very different, in a great way. I could almost taste a subtle flavor of fresh lavender ( I could be wrong) . I also ordered a tri tip sandwich , which my husband loved. Order all three of their side sauces , they're absolutely delicious! The apple fritter dessert looked great, but honestly, I would pass . My only warning is that there are a lot of yellow jackets ( wasps) , which they try to control with table fans. Maybe ask for a couple of fans if possible, especially if you are ordering the chicken. The yellow jackets seemed to be attracted to that the most!

Yelp
One of the most wonderful things about life is finding an unexpected delight. That's what I found at Side Street Kitchen. I dropped by after making the much delayed trip to see the lighthouse at Point Reyes, a visit that's almost mandatory for any true Bay Area resident. The setup was rather unusual for a full-time restaurant. Almost all the seating was outdoors on a rough pavement area by the street in front of the restaurant. Then we were shuffled in one group at a time to place our order at the counter and given a number. We were told to grab any table we wished. Looking for a quick drink and bite after our hike, we ordered some light fare, some apple fritters, a chicken quesadilla, and an open face veggie sandwich. As a devout meat-eater, I've had to grudging admit that veggie sandwiches are often even better than grilled animal flesh, no matter how lusciously juicy. I suppose vegetarian cuisine just has to work harder to be appealing, and this sandwich was such an exemplar. Starting with a base of butter toasted artisan bread, they piled on sliced cucumbers, toasted almonds, pumpkin and sesame seeds, sprouts, and smothered it all with pesto hummus. The combination of different crunches and light seasoning was a sheer delight. After savoring every bite, I even got the signature vegetarian side-effect, a real boost in energy instead of looking for a quick nap. Everything else we had was just as well executed, if not as memorable. Prices were quite low, just under $50 all in, including a tall glass of sauvignon blanc. Worth a trip back from the South Bay.

Yelp
My family, dog included, was looking for a place to eat in Point Reyes Station. I'm so glad we found this place. We loved everything we had. The seating is all outdoor. Given the pandemic, we ordered inside one party at a time. They give you a number and mmmmmm to set on your table outside. Staff was friendly. The mac n cheese is creamy, savory, and delicious. The brussel sprouts were seasoned nicely. My daughter had the tri tip sandwich, hub had the rotisserie chicken. They are everything! :) Pup was happy to be with us. Bathroom is clean too. It is a single bathroom, FYI. I recommend this place if you are rolling through town!

Yelp
You can't go wrong with anything you order there! Amazing food, amazing service! I had quinoa salad with rotisserie chicken the first day and I went back the next day to try belly lettuce tomatoes sandwich! I didn't want to leave point Reyes station.

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch while driving towards Point Reyes for a visit. This restaurant is on the street as the name suggests and cute little one. You have to stand in line to order your food. You have a choice to sit inside or outdoors. Please note that when we sat, there was an issue of yellow jacket bees, trying to get a bite from the chicken. It really bothered our kids and we had to take them inside to finish up their meal. Everything else was really great. We got the rotisserie chicken with Yukon potatoes, the quinoa salad, mac & cheese, bread and butter, and the cod entree. All the dishes were excellent. Portion size of mac & cheese was really good for all the kids. We enjoyed the butterscotch pudding as well. overall would definitely recommend this place for the price and the dates of the food.

Stopped here for lunch during a visit to Point Reyes and so glad we did! The menu is simple (you order up front at the counter) and service is fast and friendly - I ordered the pork belly BLT and it exceeded my expectations. Pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender, veggies were fresh, and the ciabatta was perfectly toasted (not too difficult to chew the way it can sometimes be). We sat outside and had a nice, relaxing meal.

Yelp
I have been eating at this unique establishment, since it was The Pine Cone Cafe. One cold blustery afternoon there, I was sitting at the counter and the cook served me up a bowl of veggie bean chili, it was a unique assortment of different beans. I've never had a Chili like that before. I really missed it when they closed. :( Lucky for me when Side Street took over they created a new better version of that dish. They even kept the original counter! The new version is their Heirloom bean Cassoulet with fried tofu on the top, paired with a drizzle of Chimichurri rojo sauce. So many yummy and healthy choices on the menu! Then throw in their amazing staff, the natural splendor of Point Reyes and you will be experiencing a little slice of heaven! We eat there a least once a month, it's a short trip from Mill Valley. It's where we go to decompress and visit with the sweet staff at the Side Street KItchen.

Yelp
So an interesting note as to visiting the Point Reyes Station area, places like Side Street Kitchen open for brunch, so not breakfast & they don't open until 11:00am. There's a bakery nearby to tie you over, but this place & others seem to open a little later & only on select days. So if you're in the area & it is not Friday, Saturday or Sunday plan ahead. This was a quaint find, you order first, take a table & wait for staff to bring out your food. The staff is on it, the host made some good suggestions the cashier followed up ... We both tried the veggie hash; hubby had it with a side of pork belly, not what he expected, a bit on the too fatty side. I substitute out the soft boiled egg for some avocado. My mistake for not reading that the Chimichurri sauce was made from Serrano peppers; way too spicy for me, perfect for the hubby. The overall dish was a tad too greasy for me. I would try again, maybe for more of a lunch meal of sorts.
