I had a friend visiting from out of town who loves speakeasies, so I was thrilled to find out that Sidecar Speakeasy was open on a Monday night.
Hidden in the back of Vinos on Las Olas, Sidecar Speakeasy is a 1920s Prohibition-style bar celebrated for its signature cocktails, intimate ambiance, great music and vibes.
Upon our arrival, we were promptly greeted by our mixologist, Patrick, who was a one man band: taking orders, crafting drinks, and serving them with a flair. It was evident that Patrick was deeply passionate about mixology. He had a masterful command of the menu, which he and his fellow mixologists had curated. But what was truly impressive was his ability to whip up any concoction on the spot. Just name an alcohol and a flavor profile, and Patrick could create a perfectly balanced and tasteful drink. His dedication and expertise are rare qualities that truly enhanced our experience.
Be aware that Sidecar Speakeasy has limited seating and can fill up quickly, so it's wise to arrive early. There's a paid parking lot behind the restaurant, and a dress code is in effect. Therefore, beachwear is best left at home!
