"Sidesaddle Saloon is the latest project from Taco Heads and Tinie’s founder Sarah Castillo. It is a nod to vintage American Cowgirls, offering a refined but laid-back atmosphere. The menu includes Southern-inspired small bites like bison tartare and caviar-topped deviled eggs, while the cocktail list features drinks named after iconic cowgirls." - Brittanie Shey

Updated APR 2025. My wife and I have been here several times - alone, with friends and with family. And the rating remains at 5 BIG stars. Initial review. My wife and I dropped by for a few cocktails and a snack before going to the BBB-rodeo. The bar has a Texas team, and is lightly decorated - country music playing at a nice not-too-high level and complements the decor and vibe. A bartender shift happened during our stay from a one-man to a two-man crew. Updated review: My wife and I have visited this place several times - some times with family and friends. And it is still a great place to visit for craft cocktails - and their bar snacks are good to. Last time we got the Loaded Potato Skins. Real nice. Try the cocktail: “Beth Dutton” - real tasty. Former review: They all three served us well. Professional and attentive. And they and crafted cocktails well. Most cocktails and snacks are around 15 USD, which taken taste and mix into account is really acceptable. The cocktails we tasted - five in total - all tasted really well.

Google
Ranking one star. Their st patties bar crawl shot was actually most delicious and reasonable priced. Ordered a double of the local la pulga tequila and it came out to be 40$, almost price of bottle. No warning or anything. Literally recommended not ordering anything that you do not know the price of.. 40$ for a mid local tequila is sus

One of the freshest strawberry margaritas I've had in a LONG time!

Elegant but lacks a theme. Perhaps a rich velvet, ceiling to floor curtain. I had needed just few more minutes to order, but all three servers were busy then. Got my Madame Mustache coctail and it was sooo delicious but the glass smelled funny. It was sad all the cacti outside had been carved up. I think it'd be really cool to have a huge board to leave initials in.

At night, this spot becomes a moody saloon and it was perfect for the group. The cocktail menu allowed me to break away from the usual order and explore my tastebuds. It made for a great experience.

It's a little loud and the bar gets crowded, but there's great seating at the back, it's got good vibes, and the bartenders work well together, are attentive, and the drinks are fun and showcase the history of cowgirls.

Yelp
Stopped in while doing some barhopping on a Saturday in the Stockyards and immediately fell in love with this spot. I love the rustic but elevated ambience of the space - not to mention the assortment of cocktails (give the Beth Dutton a try). My girlfriends and I hung out on one of the couches sipping a few hours away and enjoying some Stockyards people watching. Def check it out if you're looking to get away from some of the wilder Stockyard spots or a dressier night out in the area.

Yelp
We dropped in on a weekday and this place was such a vibe. They were about to close and we still weren't rushed. Loved the decor. The drinks were made to perfection. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Bar hopped by accident to this gorgeous little bar late'ish on a Friday night. Was blown away by the cosy friendly vibes. I ordered the espresso martini (but made with tequila) and it is now my fave cocktail EVER! This would be the perfect date night ending for anyone. Especially people who love cowboy boots and hats

Yelp
The cocktails here are AMAZING. We had the HH Old Fashioned. No corners cut! We also had the margarita, Sacajawea, and Kendra Santos. Each cocktail was crafted with beautiful ice and shaking skills by Hali. DO NOT get lost by the horses. Turn down the alley. It's worth. Hit HH for the greatest deals.

Yelp
It was 7pm when I walked in and got in line for drinks. It was 7:24pm when I finally got them. 20 minutes is a long time to wait for drinks l, especially when the line wasn't that long. Other than that it's a cute place, and I liked taking the drinks outside to do some people watching.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our visit to Sidesaddle Saloon! Four of us were visiting the Stockyards and after a visit to the John Wayne Museum, we asked the gal running the whiskey sampling where to go for a drink. She suggested this new place, Sidesaddle Saloon. So we popped over to Sidesaddle. We were seated immediately and shortly, Gigi was by to take our drink order. We got beers and one of us got a mixed drink. We also ordered a Tapas item - Potted Rillettes, House Mustard, Pickles and Toasted Sourdough. This was really, really good! Gigi, our server was super friendly, helpful and fun. We look forward to stopping by Sidesaddle again.

Yelp
This place was a charming little bar at the Fort Worth Stockyards. We enjoyed 3 cocktails that were delicious! We got the Pearl Star and the Beth Dutton. The bar was decorated super cute. Service was a bit slow as nobody came to our table so we ended up just going to the bar to order, which was fine by us. Would stop in again for a refresher!

Yelp
Food good, service okay, ambiance was nice. Pricey if you have a cocktail. Your paying for the ambiance and where they are located Downtown Ft. Worth.

Yelp
I've come here twice now and have had GREAT service. Not only is it a cool place to come in and have a drink but the drinks themselves are so good. I have to recommend trying the Beth Dutton, it has hints of spiced cinnamon apple and it is a must try for sure. I will definitely be coming back on my next trip to the stockyards

Yelp
Great service! The vibe is nice and comfortable. The manager was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Thanks y'all!

Yelp
Nicer place if you get tired of the crazy wild part of the Stockyards. Off down a side street of Mule Alley so you gotta keep an eye out for it. Bar top with about ten seats or so, and a good amount of different sized tables inside. I stumbled in early on a Sunday right after they opened. Sat at the bar, decent selection of bottled and canned bear. Grabbed a beer and looked over the menu. Some interesting apps, and the menu appears to be mostly the shared plates thing. I decided to check out some of the house made beef jerky. It was good, and had a good amount of seasoning. Pretty heavy flavor, so three pieces were more than enough for one person, plenty for two. Fairly quiet, but they do have bands I was told. I liked it because it was more relaxed. Doubtful you'll see much of the Stockyard rowdy crowd in here. Good place to escape to. Course, much of the rowdiness of the Stockyards is gone now anyway.

Yelp
Stopped by for a cocktail with a friend after window shopping in the Stockyards. The bartender we had was helpful in choosing which drinks we should try (steered us away from one based on our preferences/was honest with us, which I appreciate). We both loved what we ordered! Would have ordered another if we had more time. Definitely recommend this spot for drinks (and I want to try the short rib grilled cheese next time)!

Yelp
We were exploring the new hotel and mule alley in the Stockyards which was vey busy being a weekend and this place was tucked away a little and was a bit quieter so we decided to try and grab something to eat and a cocktail. It is the cutest little bar very modern and fancy but still has the cute, stockyards decor to make it fit in the area. Between 3 of us We split the bison tartare which was delicious, the beef sliders which were great and the duck tacos which were a little bland without the sauce (we didn't use the salsa it was to spicy). All of our cocktails were good and we liked the ambience of the place. It's a great new addition to the growing area and we will be back

Renee L.

Yelp
Pretty little place. They serve food - mostly bar bites. I've only had "to-go" cocktails. They do that in Northside! Cocktails are good and the staff is friendly.

Shane V.

Yelp
This was a nice quirky new spot in the stockyards. I had their ages old fashioned and I just wasn't a fan. My wife and my sisters drinks were good though. We had the tartare, the sliders and the fish tacos. The sliders were top notch and the tartare was very good as well. The fish tacos were very bland and not something I would recommend. I would recommend stopping by though and I enjoyed it enough to where I'd come again. The staff was very pleasant but they only had one person working the tables. We were the only ones in there and by the time we left it was completely slammed with just the one server.

Yelp
7 20 21 restaurant is closed for a private party. Nothing on the website, no signs out front. I won't be back. Too many restaurants near me to deal with this. People travel for a meal, let people know if you're going to close down for the day. Not impressed.

Aaron H.

Yelp
Great cocktails and good service in a fun environment. Well worth a stop. Will be coming back.

Melanie N.

Yelp
I've been coming to the establishment for over 2 years now almost every night I spend roughly $200 a week on music alone to be told that Rap, Hip Hop etc has been removed from the selection because it brings in the wrong crowd and as a Black man I find that to be a bit messed up especially being Black History month. It's a shame even in today's day and age black people can't enjoy their music in public.

Jessica C.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and drink selections. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable in mixology and the Fort Worth area. I recommend the Wilma Mankiller cocktail.

Charlotte C.

Yelp
This place is no good. The service is so rude. Cut you off after 2 drinks despite being extremely sober. Nope from me.

Alyssa C.

Yelp
The only way we found this place was from a sign off the main street of the stockyards, but thank goodness we tried it. When we walked in, we didn't see many people which made us a little concerned...but the food and drinks were both 10/10. This is the cutest restaurant in the stockyards and the staff was amazing. Would def recommend.

Yelp
We came upon this place last night and wanted to give it a try. The atmosphere is a chill vibe, but the service is horrible. We walked in had a seat and it took about 15 minutes before anyone noticed us. Then one of the servers comes over and ask "did you decide" I tired to tell him I was having trouble with the online menu, and he proceeds to interrupt me and says "wifi passcode is right here" then walks away. I finally got the menu pulled up and another server finally comes over. We order drinks and they come fast. Then we notice the servers telling others that a private party is coming in and last call is at 8:00pm. We never got told anything and kept seeing new customers coming in. I couldn't tell if they really had a partying coming in or they just didn't want to serve them. Overall, this place looks super chill and cute BUT the servers make you feel rushed and not welcome at all. I might go back and give it another try. Hoping it was just a busy night for them.

Yelp
Great ambiance, wife and I stopped in for dome drinks and they were amazing snd service top-notch! Even have a jukebox and you can down app and select songs there, which I had fun playing DJ. Great place, will be back!

Kelee L.

Yelp
I wish they would update their hours on their website. We went there on Sunday at 6 to find out they were closing. Very disappointing and the employee looked at us as if we should have known they were closing. We will try again. Try to be better.

Yelp
A little too fancy for being in the middle of the Fort Worth Stockyards. Expect expensive beers and tiny plates. Interior decor is nice but I'd find something else.
