"Opening today in Fort Worth’s Mule Alley, I see Sidesaddle Saloon as Sarah Castillo’s latest Stockyards-area saloon: a nod to vintage American cowgirls like Dale Evans and Prairie Rose Henderson and intended to be a refined but laid-back spot where everyone feels welcome. Partner Christian Lehrmann has created a menu of “Texas tapas” — Southern-inspired small bites such as bison tartare on toasted sourdough, country ham with pimento cheese and pickled veggies, bacon cheddar chive biscuits, and caviar-topped deviled eggs — while bar manager Glen Keely has developed cocktails honoring Old West cowgirls, including the Prairie Rose (Old Forester Bourbon’d Texas Tea with raspberry and rose water) and the Belle Star (vodka with mint, strawberry aloe syrup, lemon, and bitters)." - Brittanie Shey
