Hands down the best corned beef and coleslaw sandwich ever! I have been getting the #6 for years, it’s amazing every time. The only complaint I ever had was that it was too big, I could never finish it! I did notice that they now offer 1/2 a sandwich, I’ll definitely be going that route next time. I recommend Siegels to everyone looking for a good sandwich, they’re simply the best. Pictured below is the #6 Soni.

Recently went and had the turkey corned beef salad( chopped) -Sooooo good-enough for two meals- Wow! It’s been about three years since we visited. We used to visit at least twice a month and then Covid came and when we returned after they first opened, it definitely was struggling and our experience was pretty bad- Well, our visit here last week was great. The food was on point. The only reason I couldn’t give a five stars because the potato salad wasn’t the same as what it used to be. It was way too sweet and a little too wet. My go to was always the Reuben and potato salad. This time, I tried the corned beef and turkey grilled on rye and it was perfect. They get points for actually using bread that is full size and not giving you a full-size piece on one side and a small tiny piece on the other side-The corn beef was flavorful and so tender it melted in your mouth. They use fresh roasted turkey. They give you quite a bit of meat on the sandwich as compared to some places who charge the same price if not more— Our waitress was so nice and attentive - I was surprised they weren’t busier considering it was around dinner time, but maybe they close earlier and their rush is earlier in the afternoon -we definitely will be back. They are on our restaurant rotation.

$16 for an egg salad sandwich with absolutely zero seasoning. Not my fav. Pickles were awesome tho Also charged me 50 cents for lettuce which is just kinda strange

I was doordashing on the order. They had ran out of and item. The customer request. One of these staff offer to speak with the customer and together they worked out. A very nice replacement, needless to say, the customer were very satisfied and thank me with a generous tip. A few days later I came back with my wife for a Birthday Brunch. We got even a better level of service. I tip my hat to the owner and outstanding staff.

An hour drive and worth every minute! The sandwiches at Siegel’s Deli are incredible. The staff was so kind and attentive, and the whole experience was wonderful. Highly recommend!

In town for business was looking for a good sun shop or deli and had passed by Siegel’s earlier in the way to an appointment so I looked up the address and made it back about an hour before they closed. They had some regular customers and were winding down a bit but several other people came in and ate after I did. Atmosphere was average to above average but that is not a major factor to me. I ordered the Reuben with pastrami. Stacked high, the pastrami was great!! Tasted almost like thinly sliced brisket! Good smokey flavor. The sauerkraut was not to heavy and the sandwich included Swiss cheese. Also had a salad which was huge - wish they offered a more traditional small side salad but it was very good!! Enjoyed some thick cut “steak fries” and then I heard another waitress offer another customer the option of waffle fries which I would have preferred.

Rice Pudding consistency is soup. It is clearly not pudding. Store manager was rude, requested a refund. It’s now in the trash.

My absolute go to Demi when I’m in the area, I always get the Ruben. Very fresh, definitely home made corned beef. I also got cabbage soup and it was also very good. Great prices and large portions.

I have been here before with my parents but it's been a long time. I've been craving latkes recently and only a few places on DoorDash have it near us, including Siegel's Deli, so we ordered from here tonight. The latkes are about $4 each and they come with your choice of sour cream, applesauce, or both. They are very large and worth the price, as they were delicious. I got a cup of the kreplach soup, which was also tasty but expensive ($11), and my husband got a corned beef sandwich (about $18), which was huge. We also got two sides of their sliced New Dill pickles, which were great, and they included one Old Dill pickle slice with his sandwich too. I'm curious if the prices here are a lot cheaper than on DoorDash, because the sandwich was rather expensive. That being said I would order from here again, and probably get latkes and New Dill pickles, as they were very, very good.

Siegel's Deli is a great place for breakfast. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. As you can see from the photos, we had 2 eggs, meat and a side. All this for the unbelievable price of $7.50. I highly recommend the sausage and the deli rye toast. OMG! The staff at Siegel's is very friendly and super efficient. They are very attentive and frequently offer warm ups on coffee. I have been told by my friend that she has often stayed for long periods of time without any pressure from the staff to settle up and move on. Seems like a great place to linger and relax.

One of my favorite spots in Metro Detroit. I stopped in for an early lunch and wanted to get an old favorite with some left over for dinner. Seigel's Deli is typical Jewish Deli here in the Detroit area known for Corned beef, pastrami, and their soups. Today I ordered the Elliott, which is corned beef, coleslaw and Russian dressing on Jewish Rye bread. I got a bowl of their cabbage soup to go along with the sandwich. They also serve an old and new dill pickle with every sandwich. I have to say they never disappoint with the food. The service is great, since the same ladies have worked here what seems like forever. The decor is kind of old school, but always clean. This place feels like home. If you like a good sandwich and bowl of soup, check out Siegel's. You won't be disappointed.

Solid traditional deli. You can eat in or order carry out. The rye bread here is so good! I always get the pastrami snadwiches.

If you want a huge sandwich, this is the stop! I order a sandwich and can eat it for two day or share with someone else. The quality is always fresh and very filling. The wait staff is amazing. They always have a smile on their faces and never seem to be in a rush even when busy. I order a corn beef with Swiss and it's always chefs kiss! I'm not a fan of steak fries, but whatever quality they use is amazing to me.

Fabulous little deli! Absolutely loved everything we ordered! The sandwiches were loaded with meat. The corned beef was very fresh and practically melted in the mouth. Bread is fresh. The ratio of sandwich ingredients to bread is excellent. The Reuben egg rolls were crunch, a smidge greasy, but flavorful. The club sandwich has real turkey - not lunch meat! It was delicious. There was also a Reuben which warned the comment "this is the best Reuben I've ever had and I've had a lot of Reuben's!" We did carry out and the service was very quick and friendly. We will definitely be back!

The egg rolls & sandwiches always hit the spot and the portions are very large, I've ordered here multiple times and always had a good experience, defiantly a returning customer, thank you!

We hadn't been to Siegel's in several years, and were craving soup and sandwiches, so we figured we could order some carry out. The sandwiches were good, (not as good as we remember them- I thought there was no dressing on my Russian, but then realized it was plopped on one side of the sandwich, which wasn't the side I was eating- sandwich is cut in two), but the soup was a huge disappointment. I ordered two quarts of chicken noodle soup, and in both quarts, there was not one sliver of actual chicken. Maybe this is the way they make it, but I would think for the price and the name, there would be more than brother, veggie and noodles. Definitely didn't hit the spot as hoped, and we are planning on using it as a base to make our own soup, so we don't waste it. That's a bummer when you order out to not have to cook.

If you like breakfast, you'll love Siegels! Hint: try the tasty breakfast sausage and delve into some thick yummy Rye toast. If you enjoy a hearty sandwich, you'll love Siegels! Hint: Corned Beef and Turkey are the real McCoy--far more than just a huge portion. If you lean towards soups and salads, you'll go bonkers. So many choices, each as good as the next! Hint: No need to fret; the quality and value will have you coming back again and again and again. Grab a friend and head out to Michigans best of the best.

I ordered via DoorDash the Baja Turkey Wrap and Potato Latke. The wrap just may have been the best wrap I have ever had! The ingredients were fresh, they gave me a huge portion of Chipotle ranch on the side. My only complaint is that the plate they deliver the wrap on was so small, so if you order take out, be prepared. I'll have to visit the restaurant to dine in next.

Stopped at Siegel's right before closing tonight for a Reuben sandwich. The place is very cozy but offers lots of seating. The young staff was friendly and accommodating. I ended up driving at least 30 minutes before I could eat the sandwich; therefore, the bread became soggy from the sauerkraut. I'm sure the sandwich would have been fantastic had I eaten there. However, it was still very good. The corned beef was fresh and tender. The menu is extensive, complete with Deli favorites. There were plenty of desserts available to choose from. I will try the peach streusel on my next visit. The deli offers my favorite Dr. Brown soda. I always give major points to a deli that serves Dr. Brown's. According to the signage out front, this Deli has received accolades as the best deli in the area. Judging from what I saw and the taste of the sandwich that I had, I would agree. This was one of the best Reubens that I've had even with the soggy bread. Don't get me wrong, the bread seemed perfectly prepared. I merely should have thought about my choice and travel time. On my next visit for a carryout, I will ask for my sauerkraut on the side.

Great sandwiches but I was underwhelmed by the decor, age of the booths .(wobbly and worn) and general cleanliness. Time for an update for sure.

I've only had their sandwiches but they are the best around. If you want an overwhelming amount of meat to bread ratio, this is your spot. They do not skimp on the good stuff. Staff is super friendly with a ton of menu options. Including breakfast!

Came by with nephew for lunch, my nephew said they had great sandwich, so had to give it a try. Self seating, just walk in and find a table/booth of your choice, someone will come by with the menu and take your drink orders. After looking at the menu, we went with the following items: - #3 Reuben - #9 Mr. Hockey - a cup of Cabbage Soup - a bowl of Matzo Ball soup The cabbage soup was ok, bowl of matzo ball soup comes with two matzo balls, consider getting a cup (the waitress did warn me lol). The reuben was good, tried some of Mr Hockey, it was ok. Honestly speaking, the cold turkey meat and hot corned beef was bit off... either go all cold or all hot. I ended up giving 3 stars because the tables weren't cleared after the last diners... they ended up cleaning up the table after we sat down and only after someone asked us if they wanted the table cleaned. We considered moving to another table, but those were dirty as well. Second thing, was not a fan of someone coming by and asking we we were done and taking our plates, typically this is done after the diner walks out, but maybe it's their system.

I had takeout, the sandwich was excellent. The potato pancakes were delicious. I will be back

Excellent gluten free Ruben - meat was soft, perfect, and plentiful! I will definitely have another! The only reason it is not a five-star is because it's gluten-free toast isn't rye Service is fast and was even given extra dressing to use with the sandwich half I'm bringing home!

First time here , but not the last time! Loved the Reuben sandwich! Had the split pea soup and the barley soup , both were delicious! Great staff , very friendly and nice. There was a lot of people in the restaurant but the service is so fast . We will go back .

In the mood for a huge sandwich? Siegel's is a great option. I really enjoy their corned beef and the Russian salad. Do leave room for a peach cobbler or a cherry pastry. We always feel welcomed and everyone is really accommodating. Excellent choice for a Sunday morning.

Everytime I go to Siegel's Deli, it is full of people but a booth always magically opens up for us. My Mom and I went there the other day with a serious craving for corned beef sandwiches and we ordered the overstuffed corned beef plain. We both love plain mustard and the sandwiches are so huge and satisfying we always finish one side only and take the other side home. The corned beef is nice and lean. They also have a special soup and half sandwich available and their split pea soup in particular is delicious. A lot of people order carry out but it doesn't seem to affect the dine in service at all. Our waitress is always attentive and checks on us throughout the meal. They also have sweet challah and cookies for sale at the register. We were so full we couldn't even. Maybe next time!

Best Reuben deal you will find outside of the state of NY. Great little spot and everything is delicious! Make sure you bring your appetite!

Wow! That was the word most spoken while perusing the menu. This was our first time here and it was amazing! The size of the sandwiches is insane! When the menu says overstuffed, it means it! I had a half sandwich and cup of soup combo. My sandwich, I ended up taking home because the cup of chicken soup with the enormous matzoh ball in it was filling enough! The rest of my party was equally as happy with their choices as I am! I highly recommend this deli. You can dine in or take out. The prices are super reasonable too!

The place really looks like a dive. It looks abused. If you turn and run, you will have truly missed a treasure. A couple dozen tables, maybe three waitresses and one helluva lunch rush. It doesn't matter because these ladies haul a$$. You do not wait long. If you do, so what, this one's worth the wait. Our dentist told us to order the Matzo ball soup by the quart. Even though we are dining in. The waitress thought that stupid and asked how many balls we wanted. Why...2, of course. One for each of us. Genius. Instead of wasting time filling a to-go container with a quart of soup and then dirtying two bowls, she fills a large bowl and adds two monster size Matzo balls and throws two spoons at us. She then charges us for a single bowl of soup. Genius. Each matzoh was bigger than your fist! They feature some heavy duty sandwiches and they're stacked with some tasty cuts of meat. I typically have a pastrami Rueben. Today it was the corned beef. It was an extremely lean corned beef and again, it was piled high. The bread was of good sandwich quality. No way this mountain is falling down or the bread going soggy. The cheese was so-so, but it worked just dandy. This is the only time we've ever eaten at a popular deli and listened to country music. The waitress received an enormous tip and we took the leftovers over to the dentist. 2/20

Not sure what's happened to this place. I heard from friends that Siegel's has been going downhill. But I never had a bad experience until yesterday. Corned beef sandwiches were good but man, the service and hospitality are severely lacking! I ordered corned beef sandwiches for takeout and said twice for the dressing and coleslaw to be on the side. I was bringing them to my dad so I didn't want it to get soggy. I arrive and the girl mumbles the total to me, so I give her the money and say thanks and walk out. I get into my car and look in the bag to see that they indeed had put the coleslaw on the sandwiches. I walk back in to tell her it was prepared incorrectly and she goes "you were short by x amount" and I immediately apologized for mishearing her and gave her the correct amount AND a tip. Mind you, I didn't say anything about how she mumbled. I took full accountability. Yet she couldn't say sorry for their mistake! So she walks back to the cook and through the window goes "she doesn't want coleslaw on it" -- as if it was my fault, or as if I was being difficult or picky. The cook says something back to her and they laugh. After they fix it, she just threw the sandwiches in the bag. Doesn't say a thing. Not even a "here you go" or "sorry about that" or "have a nice day". Nothing. Never coming back again.

Only visit Detroit area once a year. This place makes the trip worthwhile. Was there 3x in two days. Best corned beef sandwich around. Ordered a corned beef hash burrito. Wow!

As someone who is fussy about Deli food, this place is actually A okay. I came here with a friend of mine since we both wanted deli but wanted something in this area. Walking in, the place is busy. It's not the fanciest looking place on the inside, but has a nice mix of tables and booths. We sat in the corner and our server got our drinks started. I was impressed that they had Matzo Ball soup. I grew up eating this dish, and it was actually alright here. It was not bad, but could have used a bit more flavor. I will say, the Matzo Ball was huge! My friend and I were both impressed with the serving size of it all. It was also quite filling! Now, mind you, Matzo Ball soup is personal, and I take mine a certain way. It was always served in my house with a simple broth (which this was) but always had carrots and celery in it. Not a lot, just a little. This didn't have the carrots or celery in it. Fine, I'm over it, but we both noticed it and discussed it over lunch. I went with the Pastrami and Corned Beef sandwich. I think it's the number 26? My friend went with the smaller version, of pastrami only. We both were amazed at how big or sandwiches were when they came out. Food was tasty, and I finished most of my food, and my friend took home like half of his. Here is where I wanted things to be better. First, the pickle slices we got were literally slivers. It's traditional to serve pickles in a deli, and we got hardly any. Is there a pickle shortage somewhere? Food rationing? We get this huge sandwich and like a pencil thin pickle? UGH. MORE PICKLES PLEASE. Also, waitress forgot our straws. I would have asked her for one, but we didn't see her a whole lot. Minor? Yes. I'm over it. but hey, this stuff sticks out. Overall, the prices here are right on par, considering how much food you get. Service is good, and there's plenty of seating. Great menu options, and all that jazz. I will be back when on this side of town.

Good food, great service. Sandwiches are generally more than you can eat. Mushroom barley soup is flavorful and tasty.

Service sometimes slow but the corned beef, Swiss, Cole slaw and thousand island dressing sandwich is so good. It's big enough to share and hard to fit in your mouth for a bite. Great onion rings too. I used to absolutely love the mushroom barley soup but it has changed somehow. I still get it sometimes though because it's hard to find. Worth checking out. I'm sure the other menu items are good too but the sandwich is my go to every time!

The food is always good we tried the breakfast burrito today. It was really big and my friend ordered a corn beef and onion rings, and he really enjoyed it.

The food and service at Siegels is always top notch . The restaurant is a good value and portions are generous. They also do beautiful catering trays . I would definitely recommend them for your next dining experience.

A Tale Of Two Cities: "It was the best of food; it was the worst of settings." Food City--worthy of 5 stars. I ordered the Soni (corned beef, Swiss cheese, Cole slaw, Russian dressing) on rye. It was stacked high but I unhinged my jaw and bit in. Mmmmmm. Lean, tender corned beef, cole slaw with a touch of sweetness, mild Swiss to accent it. Not sure if it had the dressing on it because it wasn't oozing out like most places. I was going to ask for a side of it but then realized it was great however it was done. And the Rye. OMG--soft bread with firm crust that gave way with a nice crunch when bitten. Two pickles spears with perfect texture and not overly sour. No other sides added but none where needed. This was a lot of sandwich and under $10. Great job Siegle's Deli. Grime City--1 star for physical establishment. The carpet throughout is so dirty and repulsive it really detracts from a nice meal. After sitting in a booth where you could feel the spring shifting around, we moved to a table. Hello rock-hard wooden chairs that were sturdy but looked beaten up. Behind the counter is more dirty flooring (old style linoleum). I was pleasantly surprised by a sparkling, fresh and modern bathroom but when I turned to close the door, I saw the white painted door was full on grime. (Both sides of the door need fresh paint and to be wiped / scrubbed down more frequently. ) As for service, I was impressed by how quickly our food came, given that we were there at 12:20 and the lunch crowd was coming in strong. If Chef Robert Irvine came here to do a restaurant makeover he wouldn't have to do a thing to the food. However he be pulling up that nasty flooring immediately.

Ruben #3 , OMG...... no bs this is the BEST Ruben I have ever had the meat is incredibly soft and moist the best flavor I've ever had. It's perfect a little coleslaw and dressing and the best sauerkraut also I've ever tasted not sour just amazing, And the rye bread again nailed it grilled to perfection chewy crust yet soft. Don't even think about it it's a must try I don't care where your from drive here NOW. Thank you to this food is old world and I'm grateful that this restaurant takes the passion to make such amazing food.

Great food. The absolute worst flatware !! Almost painful to hold

Portions are always generous and lots of home style cooking and fixings. The corned beef is what they're known for, big sandwich of meat that doesn't forget about the dressing our kraut either. Dining in can be hit or miss as I see some tables aren't the cleanliness, it's a family owned business with recipes to care about. If you're gonna be selective, go elsewhere. It's traditional and best to pick up the food yourself so you can ensure you get everything you need. Staff is helpful and friendly, never seem to be bothered by additional requests.

Best corn beef I've had in many years. I have been looking for a good corn beef place for several years and this place is in my backyard. Not only is the corn beef the best, because it's not too lean, not too much fat and tasty as heck...the dessert are so good. They have those comfort food desserts, marble cake, and things your granny might make for you. Go! They are a MUST go!

Authentic Jewish deli. I've eaten here several times. The servers are young college students and always pleasant. You can tell they are well-guided in the background as to prompt and polite service. The clientele is mostly an older crowd which gives it great street cred in my opinion. I usually have the Reuben and one of their soups. My sister loves their baklava. The food is outstanding and it's easy to grab a quick meal if you're headed somewhere. It's just fantastic home style food. This is not for everyone but since I keep gluten-free, I usually have Siegel's turn my Reuben into a salad and it is perfect!

Great deli option! Generous portions, unmatched prices (for good local deli, as far as I'm aware), and consistently tasty offerings. Comfortable dine-in option, as well, if that's what you're looking for.

This is a bit tricky because I know you can easily get better deli at several local places however I am a fan of Siegel's because it is reasonable priced and the food is predicatble. I admit the place inside feels warn ( and maybe a little dirty) but I think that may be part of the charm. I recommend you give this place a try if you have not.

My mom and I got yelled at for coming in one full hour before they closed. we ate but should have walked out. it's been a good 5 years and I never returned. I have no intention on ever going back there even if my life depended on it I have avoided this place like the plague. I am amazed that anyone still goes here.

I have passed by 100s of times and always say I'm going to try them one day. Today was that day and I am beyond satisfied. Great corned beef sandwich and super friendly staff. Very fresh and delicious. Strongly recommend!!

So glad they are open again for dining in. With covid they only had carry out for a while. Best Jewish deli around. This one is on our regular list. Good breakfast, big sandwiches and soup. A cup of soup is like a bowl at other places. Reading my previous review in 2013 was 3 stars. Glad we went back and gave it another try. Have ate here hundreds of times since then.

Great corned beef sandwich. I had a chicken salad sandwich which was also very good. Service was good.
