Yelp
I agree with the previous negative reviews. Lackluster. Loud. Bland. Mediocre Service.
We were recommended this restaurant since we were new to the neighborhood from Los Angeles.
My criteria is simple, make us feel welcomed, educate us on your cuisine, treat us as if our dollar means something to you. Upon entering the restaurant, you are not warmly greeted, you are scooted to a table especially if you were not a local regular. We saw what looks like a manager talking to almost all the tables as if they were family. Did he come to our table? Of course not...unless one of the owners WAS our server which sadly, may have been the case. Me to bus boy, I ask "What's that?" (Me pointing to white beans for the bread.) He says "Beans." We are thinking, "Do we spread these beans on the bread?" We guess? These beans mixed with parsley and oil were not very good, plain. The ordering process -curt and dry. Few suggestions, no explanation of menu, offered a matter of factly wine suggestion when my husband asked. I ordered the shrimp appetizer diavalo. 4 shrimp=$14. Husband ordered the pork chop and I ordered the bisteca. Pork chop dry, flavorless, in a red bell pepper like sauce. Bisteca, grisly, oily, and absolutely no seasoning and the sautéed spinach? Again no flavor, not even a hint of garlic-frankly, this whole dining experience was one of the most disappointing we have ever had in New England. Oh, be aware, the entrees come with some charred herb which you have to pick out of your teeth if you accidentally eat it. (See my picture). Take my advice- read even the negative reviews before deciding to eat here. We won't be back.
