Best restaurant we tried in this area! The BUCATINI ALL' ANATRA and the ROASTED QUAIL and OMG! The shredded duck in the ragu was so amazing. Perfect texture and quality. The quail was a first but very juicy and tasty! We would order both again. Of the two I recommend the BUCATINI ALL' ANATRA but both are exceptional. Like I said this was the best restaurant we tried while in the area.

Google
We had dinner and really enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant is easy to get to. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as a bar. There’s a good selection of food, a nice wine list and a full bar. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Both of our meals were delicious and we had a good dessert. Nice atmosphere as well. Not sure if you need to but we made a reservation I’m sure we’ll be back.

Google
Amazing, authentic Italian cuisine, that's reasonably priced. Service was also great. Always there when you needed something, but never rushing you through dinner

Google
I have been to many restaurants in Fairfield County and throughout West Chester and Siena is the best! The atmosphere, ambience and overall quality of the restaurant shows! The experience I have when I come here is always immaculate!

Google
I really liked the food. The oysters were also fresh and good. The mojito and margarita were also good. I spoke to the owner, very nice guy to talk to. Definitely will come back.

Google
Posting a review after my third meal at Siena. I LOVE this restaurant. The food is always amazing. I usually get simple pasta dishes, but they are out of this world, and always taste like a home cooked meal. I also love their cookie biscuits (not sure if they are biscottis per se) that come with the espresso, I want to take a box home. Go eat here for some great Italian food and atmosphere (the staff is so kind and friendly).

This is my second time at this restaurant. The first time was so memorable that I bought 11 friends back for a night out. The service is wonderful with very attentive waiters & the food delicious. I love the carpaccio & the homemade truffle pasta.

Google
Delicious food, great dining environment, great waiting staff. The Cavatelli was proportionate and well-seasoned. Pasta came out perfect al dente! Appetizers were well-prepared! 👍

Yelp
Fabulous dinner on a Thursday night sitting at the bar . Service was fun and friendly and fast-- the good kind of "F's"! I am already checking my calendar to go back!

Yelp
Good food, wine along with service in general. This was overshadowed by a disappointing experience was created when we had made a reservation and upon arrival seats at the bar were offered to us before a table. Music was way too loud to have a conversation. Two requests were made to lower the volume but they were ignored. Very much got the sense we were rushed out of there as there was some sort of wine tasting event that was occurring. If that's the case and you need the table, then don't take reservations in the first place. We didn't even stay for an hour.

Yelp
Very average is how I would sum up Siena - nothing really stood out as being really special or tasty but at the same time I can't call out anything for being at fault. Ambiance was nice and cosy but the food was a bit of a let down; for the premium price, I was really expecting a little more in taste. My truffle pasta tasted dull and boring in flavor. My cocktail wasn't bad though. It had a novel charm of using a scorpion infused bitter, which the waiter was kind enough to show me after overhearing a conversation I was having with my dining party. Overall, very okay. Nothing special but also not bad. I don't think I'd be coming back though.

Yelp
Amazing as always! Siena has the delicious food and the best service! They treat you like family. So nice to come here!

Yelp
Went there for a Mother's Day lunch 23'. Atmosphere is very nice, i've probably driven by this place 1000 times but this was my first sit down eat-in visit. I'm not a big pasta eater but i figured i'd find something else on the menu. We had 2 apps which were the mussels and the meatballs. The meatballs were fantastic ! Other dishes at the table were the Truffled pasta and cream sauce with mushrooms and a pasta with meat sauce. I had the grilled rib-eye with a roasted potato & veggies which was VERY GOOD ! Definitely a place to try, they do have good parking and outdoor seating (weather permitting) located right in the center of downtown. The inside is a little smaller and can get a little loud but overall a very good experience.

Yelp
What a great place. I love the romantic but family friendly atmosphere. The service was impeccable. Nice, knowledgeable and quick without rushing us out. Large wine selection and food is beyond delicious.

Yelp
We came here for my birthday with a group of 8. They were very accompanying and all ready for our arrival. The food was phenomenal! We got beef carpaccio, Caprese Mozzarella, Burrata. We all got different dishes, most with a hand made pasta, some steak and a chicken Parmesan. Everyone raved about the food. The service was also very quick and attentive. We ordered Italian red wine and they had a very good selection. They came out with a chocolate cake and a sparkler for my birthday! It was definitely a great experience and we can't wait to go back!!

Yelp
I have been dining here with regularity at the small bar given they often cater to my desires should the ingredients be available. When it comes to consistently good Italian and Italian American food in Stamford, this restaurant is difficult to top. Noticing they served a pounded veal entree, I inquired whether it would be possible to have the dish prepared in another manner. The main attraction to this place was the willingness to accommodate a patron's request. Therefore, I consistently return for this delicious veal chop with oil, butter, rosemary, and garlic. The wine list is affordable with enough variety to pair with your meal. The green cavatelli bolognese is a delight. If you don't see it, it doesn't hurt to ask for it.

Yelp
Wonderful food and outstanding hospitality.. highly recommend! Cocktails aren't bad either!

Yelp
We were in Stamford for one night, we live in Manhattan and had no idea where to go for dinner. Went into Siena just by chance. What a pleasant surprise and relief! The place was packed so we sat at the bar. We could not have been more comfortable. The bartender was tentative and friendly. And the manager came over twice to see how we were doing. The food was excellent. Our drinks were fantastic. Everything was fairly priced and we could've had a better restaurant experience. I had their signature duck ragu and practically licked my plate. they even gave us complimentary lemon cello at the end of our meal. Highly recommend and will definitely come back when we are in Stamford again.

Yelp
Very friendly staff. Delicious food! Came out in a timely manner. Will definitely return.

Yelp
So it's an Italian resto in Stamford - where the pickins are mighty slim to begin with (NYC this is not). Then again, it's really quite good - the antipasti are _excellent_, the pours are generous, and all in all, it's the kind of place that you stop by, have a glass of wine and munchies at the bar, and consider your life well spent :-)
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite Italian spot in Stamford. From the service to the ambience to the food it's all perfect. You get in & they start you off with beans & bread. THE BEANS ARE SO ADDICTING. I literally love them so much. For appetizer I got the eggplant last night but I've gotten the octopus as well. The octopus is cooked perfectly & the salad has this amazing lemon dressing. The eggplant is covered in their beautiful red sauce & the cheese is melted & delicious. Everytime I go, I get the SAME pasta dish because there's nothing like it around! The coolest thing about this place is that there's a section for important pasta & pasta MADE IN HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I usually get the Sciatelli which has house made pasta, shrimp, caramelized onions, & fried zucchini on top that I think, MAKES the dish!!!!! You can tell the pasta is house made because it's soft & unique & definitely doesn't taste like it came out of a box or reheated or anything. It tastes fresh!!!! In the past I've also had the tagliatelle tartufate! That is also under the house made pasta section & the sauce is a truffle sauce that I love. It has mushrooms too! That pasta dish comes a close second with my usual!!!!! I just love this restaurant so much!

Yelp
Went to this restaurant for the Restaurant Week specials they had and ended up ordering off of their typical large menu. Everything sounded very good. The service at this restaurant is very nice; an old italian family vibe which made me feel right at home. The pasta is of course homemade and you can really taste the difference.

Steve A.

Yelp
If I could give Siena more than 5 stars I would! One of the best meals I've ever had. You can immediately tell the quality of the ingredients were top notch. Starting with the mixed greens salad the olive oil used was amazing. Then the homemade tagliatelle was to die for! This was a true authentic Italian meal with simple ingredients of the highest quality. I can't wait to visit again.

Joe G.

Yelp
Great italian food right in downtown Stamford. It's a little pricier than some of the other italian spots around, but is also probably a little bit better and more traditional in menu selection. The service was great too! Only complaint is a major lack of vegan options.

M M.

Yelp
Meatballs were tasty. Prices to add chicken or shrimp to a salad are high. We ordered two meals and my colleague got both his appetizer and main course while I waited 10 minutes more for mine. Asked for a glass of wine and waited until my meal was half finished. Branzino was undercooked and mushy. When it is not that busy, you'd expect better attention to detail. Stamford has too many good restaurants to drop $$$$ here.

Yelp
Nice authentic Italian restaurant. Came here with a group of four coworkers. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. Service was good.

Yelp
Love outdoor seat during summer and food always good never disappoints. Also have dinner there and staffs also take good care of us

Yelp
Very nice venue, service was great and food was very good, good place for Italian in Stamford. Great flavor in the cavatelli pasta and bucatini duck ragu was right on point. Awesome seared scallops, best flavor of the group

Audra M.

Yelp
Outstanding fresh Italian food. Lovely staff & great ambience. The bolognese was the best I've ever had.

Yelp
There was some good and not so good things about this place. To start it was so overwhelming loud in there at 8pm on a Tuesday night we almost left as soon as we got in. The service was a bit slow. It was respectively authentic and I liked that they had a section of handmade pastas on the menu. Now the food: scialatielli - not good because it had an unexpected fishy flavor, ravioli formaggi - AMAZING, rigatoni - just okay and a little too al dente, lava cake - nothing special, ricotta cheesecake - gross because the texture was terrible

Yelp
Came all the way to Stamford from Milford for an anniversary dinner. Figured with the 4 star average we'd be wowed. We weren't. Had reservations for 8:00 but got there a little early and were promptly seated. Then we waited. And waited a little more. Finally got water. Then our wine order (14 for Super Tuscan and 11 for a chianti). Apps were the mussels and grilled octopus. Definitely the best part of our meals even at $12 and $17 respectively. $10 lentil soup was overpriced. Our entrees were veal scaloppine and scialatielli with shrimp. Both were reasonable portions. Veal was very tender with spinach and potatoes. Pasta turned out to be just ok. The $7.50 sorbet (a small scoop) and $6 cappuccino closed us out. All told, $140 for just an ok meal seems like a bit much.

Yelp
Hands down the best 'butterflied breaded veal chop' around... How I miss this quality and preparation, in Florida. Very authentic, romantic, excellent food and wine. Service is fantastic!!! When I come to NY i will make the hour drive, for this place!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Italian done the right way! Capped off with fresh limoncello like you're back in Italy! We shared 4 Dinners as well as 4 Appetizers with a group and all of them were spectacular. Grilled Calamari was great. Highly recommend the Pounded Veal Chop which can feed 2 people and was cooked to perfection. Dined outside due to pandemic restrictions and all employees made you feel comfortable. Definitely recommend for good Italian. Even during the pandemic!
google avatar

George B.

Yelp
Man that was an expensive lunch! Totally worth it though. I am accustomed to spending no more than $10 on myself, but if you sit down at Siena you will be treated to fancy Italian fare for about $20 a person. Ultimately a good deal. While you make your decision from the many options on the menu, you will be served fresh bread with a bean spread on the side. Usually the table serving is so-so but this was great. I decided on a mushroom risotto for lunch which was one of the daily specials. It was very good and you could tell it was made fresh and not just warmed up from a previous time. You get what you pay for!
google avatar

Doug L.

Yelp
Had a quick dinner so I only had one thing. Cheese ravioli. The pasta was homemade and the sauce Devine. And the sauce amazing. Could not have been better. I will be back

Yelp
Beware! 0 stars! Don't waist your time and money! Greedy and careless! Almost ruined my birthday. My husband booked a table at 8 o'clock for 7 people. He called the restaurant twice and 2 hours prior our reservation to make sure we had a table. When we came, the table wasn't ready. In a careless manner the owner ( how he introduced himself) told us that we had to wait outside or in the bar knowing that there wasn't a spot in the bar area also. No available stool and we couldn't find a spot to stand there. So we decided not to interfere and go outside and wait there on 90 degrees. 15 min later, there was still no table. No sorry, nothing. After 30 min my husband and some of my guests came inside to find out about the table, and the owner said that people were still sitting and he didn't have a table for us. When my husband asked him why he made a reservation if he knew that it would be so crowded and no table, he started yelling at us saying that it's his place and he does what he wants, ending that he was not going to give us a table at all. My guests were in shock! We go to restaurants pretty often but we have never experienced anything like that. It was a big mistake to go there. They make reservations beyond their capacity because of their greediness. If they realize that they screwed up they just simply kick you out. Just don't waist your time. Go to somewhere else, there are plenty of good restaurants. Like other people say, the place is really small with tiny tables for 2, no space between tables and very loud.

Amy G.

Yelp
They ran out of the dish we ordered and instead of telling us and asking us what we'd like instead they brought something else altogether and then they charged us for it. Really bad customer service. No apology, no you're right we should've asked what you wanted instead, the owner actually said "life isn't perfect". Will never return here even if the food was good

Yelp
Came here for the first time after hearing glowing recommendations from my mom! (For the record, she's Italian American and an excellent cook so I take her Italian restaurant suggestions seriously... of course I had to check this place out when I had the chance). Came on a Saturday night around 8 (around the holidays), it was lively but not packed when I got there. They start you off with bread + white beans in oil, the bread is so fresh and amazing. Get the scallop appetizer. It's delicious. We also had a Caesar salad to start, which was pretty standard but still really great. I had a veal saltimbucca special and it was so good, perfectly cooked and a perfect portion size. My boyfriend had a pasta lamb Ragu dish which was also way better than I would've imagined. For dessert we had the limoncello cake which was light and refreshing! They also brought us over some biscotti to try. The staff was very warm the entire time. Check this place out for a great Italian meal if you're in town!!

Yelp
I can't believe I forgot to write this review a year ago. So my girlfriend and I came to Siena for Valentine's Day last year. We had such a great experience, our table took a little longer then expected for our reservation but they were so welcoming and asked us to sit at the bar and gave us some wine on the house while we wait. Obviously that was a really nice thing considering it's one of the busiest nights of the year. Our food was incredible the service was attentive. I also wanted to to order a bottle of Champaign. The one I was looking at was I believe $60 ( not bad ) they were a sold out, so they gave me the next bottle which was marked at $120 for the same price. I am excited to say we wIll be coming back for Valentine's Day this year and are so excited! Thanks Siena!

Yelp
This was a significantly better experience than I expected from a suburban Italian restaurant. Our reservation was honored and we proceeded to a tight four top. The house provides complimentary Italian bread and a salad of ceci for dipping. Eschewing a true antipasto, we began by sharing bucatini with a duck sauce (anatra). This was a great pasta dish, with deep flavor. Some points off for pre-ground Parmesan. Our friends started with salads (caesarina and misticanza) , which were attractive, but would not tempt me away from the duck pasta. For a main course, I had the saltimbocca, which came with sauteed greens. The veal was tender, the sauce unctuous, the prosciutto well represented, but just a tad too salty. Still a great dish overall. My partner had a nice plate with a filet of branzino, perfectly cooked. (A whole branzino was also on offer.) The other couple had the salmon, but I didn't get a taste. A citrusy/boozy palate cleanser arrived. Before your coffee, the house brings light sugar cookies. Somewhat sated, we shared a well made tiramisu, and coffees. I enjoyed a well made double espresso.

Yelp
A great cozy Italian spot in the neighborhood! I've ordered a number of dishes here and have always been beyond satisfied of how it tasted. Every meal has been seasoned so well, so delicious. The pasta has always been cooked to perfection. Not only has the food been great but also the friendly service.

Yelp
We booked our reservation for 7:15, we had to wait at the bar for our seats. No room to even stand so we basically stood over by the side door until our table was ready. Once we got to our table the staff gave us 4 small pieces of bread, no butter, no oil nothing else on the table. We had to stop someone to give us olive oil. Then it took more than 15 minutes to get menus. By the time the waiter actually came to take our order is was over 30 minutes and no bread or water refills in the meantime. Our dinner finally was served at 9pm. Staff was not attentive at all. If you are looking to talk to the person next to you it's not an ideal restaurant during busy time it's very loud and tables are close together. I recommend trying this restaurant when it is non-peak hours.

Yuval B.

Yelp
Very very good food, we went there few time and service was top, very nice stuff. The grilled octopus was to die for, every dish we ordered was awesome. Good selection of wine.

Yelp
Siena is a staple in the Stamford area. Serving fresh authentic Italian food, the owner is passionate about representing his heritage through each dish. I've been coming here regularly for a few years and have never had a bad meal. Their pasta fagioli is awesome, the pastas are all made fresh and have great flavor, and the portions are generous. It's definitely one of the better restaurants in Stamford and I highly recommend trying it if you haven't already.
google avatar

Josephine P.

Yelp
The food is fresh and has fantastic flavor. The service is excellent as well. I HIGHLY recommend Siena to anyone looking for a great meal.

Elsy E.

Yelp
Siena may be one of the most underrated restaurants in Stamford. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced. The service is solid and the owner is always friendly. I think that it is on par with Cafe Silvium

Yelp
I am Sicilian and love quality food that is made with a handful of ingredients . The restaurant has quality food BUT... Started off with crusty bread and a small bowl of white beans made with garlic, parsley, olive oil and a little salt. Perfect. I was asked if I wanted naturale or gassata acqua. I chose gassata and the waitress brought over a large bottle of pellegrino water. I assumed the restaurant served this at no charge because I was not told the bottle was $7!!! Come on now. There was 2 menus . A la carte and a prix fixe of the day. I glanced at the pre fixe but for$30 (3 courses) wasn't anything special , however I noticed a montepulciano wine by the glass for$10 and ordered that. Very nice wine. I had a 2nd glass with my entree. I ended up choosing a bowl of lentil soup and Chilean sea bass grilled which was the special that evening. Shame on me I didn't look at the prices. The lentil soup was excellent great flavor just as I would make. The Chilean sea bass was topped with a tomatoes coulis and included spinach and roasted potatoes . I looked at the plate and things looked lost. The fish may have been 5 ounces , they put 2 roasted potatoes quarters on the plate and maybe a tablespoon and a half of spinach. The food was delicious though not only did they give minuscule portions the price of the entree was $36!!! And a bowl of lentil soup was $10! Also the wine which was $10 on the menu was $11 on my check (2 glasses $22). And a water charge of $7 was added to my check but was not informed that there was a charge and to boot $7 for pellegrino water! If I known I was drinking gold I would of cashed it in rather than quench my thirst! Be aware of hidden charges as well as incorrect prices on your check and extravagant prices for small portions !!! Will I return probably not.

Yelp
Absolutely Fabulous Italian food!! Right from the start- the Sautéed Sardines, the bread and beans, the salad and the pasta dishes...Outstanding. And the service of David, Pepe, and Alejandro was truly impeccable. Highly recommend. Can't wait to try your new restaurant in Norwalk at Zero Degrees!!!
google avatar

Dan W.

Yelp
Terrific atmosphere and friendly staff. The owner was here and she was very charming and welcoming. Most importantly the food is out of this world! I had the burrata salad and house made ravioli. Both were prepared exquisitely and the portions were just right. I hope to be back in Stamford so I can go here again!

Rannel L.

Yelp
Went here for Valentine's Day and got seated promptly at 730. As expected, it was pretty busy and service was just okay. It seemed like only one waiter was in charge of half the restaurant and I would have expected it to be more on a busy night. Pretty friendly staff overall. We ended up with the jumbo shrimp for appetizers, the clam linguine, bucatini, tiramisu, and two glasses of wine for around $100. Honestly, none of the plates were amazing but not bad either. Shrimp had a bit too much tomato paste flavor (and only 3 for $10?), linguine was average with not enough clams, bucatini had a nice kick to it, and the tiramisu had a pleasantly strong coffee flavor. Probably not a place I would return to but glad I tried it.

Yelp
I agree with the previous negative reviews. Lackluster. Loud. Bland. Mediocre Service. We were recommended this restaurant since we were new to the neighborhood from Los Angeles. My criteria is simple, make us feel welcomed, educate us on your cuisine, treat us as if our dollar means something to you. Upon entering the restaurant, you are not warmly greeted, you are scooted to a table especially if you were not a local regular. We saw what looks like a manager talking to almost all the tables as if they were family. Did he come to our table? Of course not...unless one of the owners WAS our server which sadly, may have been the case. Me to bus boy, I ask "What's that?" (Me pointing to white beans for the bread.) He says "Beans." We are thinking, "Do we spread these beans on the bread?" We guess? These beans mixed with parsley and oil were not very good, plain. The ordering process -curt and dry. Few suggestions, no explanation of menu, offered a matter of factly wine suggestion when my husband asked. I ordered the shrimp appetizer diavalo. 4 shrimp=$14. Husband ordered the pork chop and I ordered the bisteca. Pork chop dry, flavorless, in a red bell pepper like sauce. Bisteca, grisly, oily, and absolutely no seasoning and the sautéed spinach? Again no flavor, not even a hint of garlic-frankly, this whole dining experience was one of the most disappointing we have ever had in New England. Oh, be aware, the entrees come with some charred herb which you have to pick out of your teeth if you accidentally eat it. (See my picture). Take my advice- read even the negative reviews before deciding to eat here. We won't be back.

Yelp
Consistent. That one word best sums up any experience at Siena. No matter what day, what time, who's cooking, who's serving, how busy they are, or how many people in your party-- whatever you get at Siena will always be a delicious, high quality, satisfying meal. Every time. It's not my favorite restaurant, it's not even one that I go to regularly, but it is my go-to place when I'm not quite sure what I'm in the mood to eat and just want a really good meal. Service is polite but succinct, bread and beans at the beginning are a great lead-in, homemade pasta tastes like Noni just rolled it out, and atmosphere is very relaxing.

Yelp
Went for an early New Years Eve dinner on a 6:30 reservation to get back to the hotel early. Place was empty when we got there and there was not not a seat in house when we left. I have mixed emotions because the staff was truly inviting, seemed very personable. Nice decor, loud when full of customers, unfortunately the tabes for 2 were along a wall with a bench for one side with the tables 4" apart, VERY uncomfortable and our food was OK but just missed at every turn. The Caesar salads & Eggplant tastes were flat, bread was at least warm but wasn't better than average & didn't come with butter or oil with pepper but cannelloni beans in oil (this may be a luxury, I don't know). Somehow the Salmon was dry without being overcooked? I will say, Geraldo M. was incredibly accommodating when my wife asked if he had a sweet Riesling, he did not have one. He brought 2 other wines for her to taste. Just another example of the staff being attentive & very accommodating. We went because of how good the reviews were, certainly not a place I'd say is worth going back to. But keep in mind that's just me, the was a restaurant of seemingly very happy patrons so I do wish them well. The old adage comes to mind, you win some you lose some........

Yelp
Came for dinner. We ordered the special. Artichokes dish (perfect amount of garlic) and figs with Serrano ham and chestnut honey. Yum. Tortellini stuffed w chicken and pork in a light cream sauce w peas, prosciutto, and tomatoes. Awesome. Ossobucca with polenta. This was unbelievably good. Best I've ever had. Service was disjointed but friendly. Definitely will come back. Dessert of limoncello cake and a cherry tart were both good.

Yelp
Brought my wife, kids and Mother in law here. What a fabulous place, the food was unbelievably tasty, the grilled salmon with the butternut squash was absolutely divine. I couldn't have had a better salmon than today from a fine establishment. Service was impeccable. My family enjoyed their meal as well. The place was packed. Definitely scored points with my Mother in law today. Would definitely recommend this place in a heart beat.

Yelp
1. Ambience - great 2. Food - ehhh it was ok. I had the linguine with clams which didn't have much flavor to it. Majority of dinner plates ran around $20 each. FYI - Siena doesn't have the typical Italian menu as you may expect. If you're looking for penne a la vodka and commercial stuff, siena won't have it. The menu isn't great for vegetarians as well. Very very limited ...

Yelp
Bellissimo! A head above the rest of Italiano ristorantes in Stamford. Good food. Attentive staff. Couldn't have asked for more! 3-course prix-fixe is a steal!
