Yelp
I'm literally shocked that this place has a 4 star average.
Walking into the Steakhouse, the main entrance doors are locked. There are no signs to direct you to enter through the hotel, but that's what you are supposed to do (do yourself the favor and just head back to the car).
I walk in and theres no hostess at the podium then, or even after waiting a few minutes. I decide to walk over to the bar. The bartender told me to sit anywhere. I sat at a high top by the bar. No menus available, but they have a QR code. I scanned the code and realized I had only 1 bar of service. It probably took 60-90 seconds to get to the menu, which kinda felt like an eternity but it eventually came up. Looked through the entire menu and decided on Barramudi. Scrolled through several other dishes a second time, checked out their other menus to waste time for about 10 minutes. I still haven't been approached by a single employee. After a couple more minutes, the bartender comes to me with a glass of water, I tell her I'm ready to order and order Barramundi and a coke (for $33). They offer no sides, no appetizers or anything. She walks away to put in my order.
5-6 minutes later she comes back with my coke and at this point I'm realizing this place is slow and doesn't seem well managed. There's no bread, no salad, nothing. I came hungry and I was regretting it, expecting my food to take a while to be delivered. I was right. Probably 25 or more mins later I was being served (this place had very few customers) and my disappointment immediately escalated to a whole new level. I was served two pieces of fish, both of which I could fit on the surface of my credit card. Had I been bold, I could have eaten the fish in 2 bites. I wasn't bold, I ate it in 4. Imagine being hungry, no bread to snack on, waiting there for close to an hour to finally get served annnnd boom. Here's our $30 fish.
Let's talk about the taste. The fish had some shell like crust on the top. It was probably 1/8" thick, hard and difficult to cut through. Imagine a nice hard thick layer of baked topping on top of a soft fish and trying to knife through it. I was almost forced to eat it in 2 bites, the entire 2 pieces they game me one at a time.
I finally cut through and took a bite. Fish was scorching hot, topping was warm. Didn't make sense in my mouth and I immediately start thinking, "How was this even cooked?" Not exactly a 4 star reaction to a first taste. In fact, that nice thick topping and scorching hot fish was very, very bland. The disappointment continued to mount.
The bartender stopped back over after 2-3 minutes and asked how things were going. My plate was already clean and napkin was on the table. My entire experience was done before she could check to see if it was cooked ok. This also should have registered that it's time to get the check. But it didn't register. She walked away and didn't return for at least another 10 minutes. She finally returned as asked, "Check?" Lol. Uh yeah. And I bet you can guess... at least another 5-10 minutes.
So I spent about 90 minutes and $33 on what was likely either prepackaged or previously baked fish that was reheated in a microwave. I'm not kidding, that's my honest guess.
I hope people leave their honest reviews here because I ate here based on the good reviews. I can't believe how bad the experience was.
