First time at Siena Tuscan. From the warm and friendly greeting to the delicious food, everything was absolutely amazing here! The Alaska Halibut was soooo tasty! Highly recommend! Our server was very attentive. Overall, a 10/10 experience! Definitely will return to try some other menu items.

This is a very nice, even elegant, looking Italian restaurant in the Ambassador Hotel that specializes in a few less common pasta dishes and FDA choice steaks. It was a Thursday early evening (5:30) and not very busy. We had a reservation. The food was very good and very well prepared. My wife had spaghetti carbonara, and I had flounder with a side of risotto. Both great.

Google
Always have a good meal here! Steak is delicious as are the mashed potatoes but Stefany was truly a gem of a server. Great recommendations around food and wine, so friendly- just a joy all around!

Google
I came here black in June and forgot to leave a review. I came for my birthday!!! I'm sad to see all of the negative reviews because this place truly is a great spot! The food was amazing like so good and the staff were very kind. They brought out a sparkler with the dessert for my birthday and that was pretty cool!!! Really great vibes too and overall great environment! We did have to walk a ways away from the restaurant but it's also what's considered downtown so not all that surprising and riverfest was going on so it made since. If your thinking about trying it definitely do!!! Would be a great date night spot!

I enjoyed my meal of nduja stuffed arancini and spaghetti carbonara at the bar. The blackberry whiskey lemonade was delicious. The restaurant was very nice. I will be back.

My husband and I went to Siena for our 27th anniversary on the 4th of July. I do not even know where to start describing how great of an experience we had! The hostess was kind and welcoming. The ambiance was classy and romantic; dimmed lights, but not so dimmed that I couldn't see clearly or get sleepy (which always happens when the lights are too dark), and the music was very pleasant- jazz truly in the background (which was great because if it's too loud I can't really hear when others are speaking). Our waiter (unfortunately, I've forgotten his name) was brand new. It was his first night on the floor, but he did a terrific job. He was attentive and friendly, but not chatty. Ok, the food... AMAZING! I'm telling you, every. single. bite. was spectacular. Even the salad! I got the roasted beet salad. My husband got a different one, and both were worth going to the restaurant for! We shared the 14 oz steak meal (as we just don't eat a lot), and there were no judgemental reactions. The steak was so perfectly cooked and seasoned. Not at all over or under seasoned. The mashed potatoes were to die for, and the asparagus was prepared exactly correctly. Not one tough or stringy bite, even the fattest end part! On top of that, as we were dining, we got to talking with the family next to us. I mentioned that it was our anniversary in the conversation. About 10 minutes later, the hostess comes up to our table with a beautiful bouquet of roses!!! That just blew us away! If you want a very pleasant experience and a wonderful meal, you HAVE to try this place!!!

I had a medium well hanger steak with asparagus, and it was delicious. I just wish they'd added more asparagus! For desert I had a Tiramisu.

Google
I enjoyed my experience here. I had a little mishap with my order(they were out of some the items listed on the dish ordered) .Bri the manager step in corrected the situation and made everything right! Talk about great customer service! She was great. Jeana and other staff members were friendly and helpful as well. This is a cute lowkey restaurant located inside of a hotel but definitely a cool place to check out for a nice meal and cool drinks. Would return..

Yelp
Organized a group dinner here. They were great about me changing the number up 3 then down 2. Service was great and our waitress was helpful in suggesting and organizing appetizers for the table. Sadly my steak was rare when I ordered it medium rare. I hardly ate it. In a group setting, I didn't want to return it. I ate around the edges and my broccolini side dish. I had been looking forward to it :( Atmosphere is nice. Very convenient if you are staying at the hotel. Cocktails were creative and delicious.

Yelp
Food was out of this world. I'd eat there every day if I could Very calm & romantic atmosphere Perfect service

Yelp
Steak was great, perfectly cooked. Services was prompt and great. It's a great spot to have business dinners or date nights. Ambiance is upscale, low lighting. The only issue was the pot de crème, too think for my liking. Very little crème and the chocolate was closer to a ganache.

Yelp
Food excellent- tomato& mozzarella salad amazing! Nice wine list. Good variety in entrees. Attentive waiting staff...

Yelp
We were staying at the Ambassador hotel and decided to try their restaurant. I had requested a table by the window on open table when making the reservation and asked for a window table when we arrived. The hostess said "of course" when we asked. Then her colleague took us to a non-window table. When we asked for the table on the window in the corner, she said it was now reserved - and frankly was a bit snooty about it. BTW, there was no "reserved" sign on the table we requested (after being told we were getting a window table), and no one was seated there until we were paying our bill and getting up to leave. I believe she was lying to us as there was no ability to reserve a certain table when making a reservation. If she was telling the truth, the restaurant management policy should be to put a reserved sign on the table. She probably knows customers just love a 20 something year old snooty hostess making a first bad impression before they are seated. Honestly, we almost left, but it was 101 degrees outside and decided to just stay as we had a great experience in the bar with our pre-dinner cocktails. Once seated, we had excellent service by Sophia and fantastic food on our visit. Prices were not bad for a fine dining steakhouse. I highly recommend everything we had: Homemade focaccia bread, Carbonara pasta, wedge salad, and the Seafood Special of the night (sockeye salmon). My salmon was delicious and perfectly cooked. The presentation was a work of art. We really had to pass on dessert, but there also weren't great options in our opinion to tempt us. Giving Siena a 5 rating despite the hostess who sat us. Hopefully the manager will coach her as young kids need to learn how to treat customers if they want repeaters.

Yelp
Stuck in Wichita during the January polar vortex and the only place to eat was the restaurant in the hotel. Fortunately it was amazing! The food was outstanding and the service just as wonderful! Get the carbonara... so good!

Yelp
My buddy and I were in Wichita for the night on our way home from New York. As one does in Kansas, we immediately tracked down a steakhouse and rolled out (stopping by a couple local breweries on the way, of course). Upon arrival, we were greeted by the host, Bri, who was nothing short of spectacular. She was attentive and hilarious, putting up with a couple of guys who'd enjoyed 3-4 heavy IPAs and were feeling no pain. Simply put, Bri is awesome and an asset to Siena! The service and food were excellent... Decent prices for what you get, though certainly not on the cheap end of the spectrum. Well worth it for the ambience and level of attentiveness demonstrated by everyone. Just to reiterate, Bri is AWESOME, the steaks were excellent, and the experience all-around great. Five stars without question!

Yelp
Delicious food great atmosphere. Will return again soon. Good for date night. The blackberry moon cocktail was amazing. Excellent service.
google avatar

Yelp
I ate here twice for breakfast as I was staying in the hotel. Bri was working both days. She was very personable and super accommodating to my family's complicated order! Also, the French toast is amazing! So good! Thank you to Bri and Siena and the Marriott family!

Joseph J.

Yelp
Prime Four Sixes Strip steak was prepared perfectly medium rare. The guest of honor, my wife, had the Four Sixes Ribeye and she enjoyed it. My daughter had the swordfish that she loved. Risotto side was excellent. My son's pasta looked amazing. Very relaxed atmosphere for our Mother's Day celebration. Our server, Alex, was attentive and took a picture of our family for us. We will return. Thanks for a great night.

Yelp
I am going to be middle of the road at this place. I went at lunch and was told the dinner is better. I will try again because the ambience was lovely.

Yelp
Me and my boyfriend went for a date night. We started with the arancini and it was so delicious. We then got the carbonara and hangar steak, fully recommend both!! Service was quick and or server was attentive. Great spot for a nice meal here in Wichita!

Stacia B.

Yelp
Food, service, and atmosphere were fabulous! Our table ordered the steak carpaccio, filet, halibut, and tagliatelle con salicia e cavola nero. Every dish was mouth watering. Top restaurant in Wichita! Stefany was our server and she was very attentive and knowledgeable, great service! My new favorite place!
google avatar

Lorraine H.

Yelp
It's a beautiful place and they were nearly empty at 7pm. Our server asked us if we wanted something from the wine list and when we said no and asked for a few minutes to decide on dinner, she didn't come back. After waiting 10 minutes and watching other patrons being served by a different server, we left.

Ashley S.

Yelp
Surface level, everything was nice - clean, visually appealing atmosphere. Service was SO slow. We waited nearly an hour for our food to come out. Crazy. My steak was cooked the opposite of how I asked, albeit, it was still good. Just rare instead of well done. The hostess looked miserable and was unfriendly. Our waitress hardly came to our table. There was one super great server - she was always friendly and smiling. Overall, not worth the trip downtown and I'll go to Chester's from here on out for a good steak.
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
A beautiful restaurant located on the first floor of the Ambassador Hotel. The steaks were great and I enjoyed the asparagus which I rarely do. I brought my wife here to celebrate her birthday. The service was great and they gave my wife a free desert for her birthday.

Yelp
This was our first visit to the Siena Tuscan Steakhouse. It did not disappoint!! The food was wonderful and the service was awesome! Shout out to Ashton for being the most amazing server! We will be back!!

Yelp
When in Kansas...try the Siena Tucson Steakhouse. It's yummy but pricey A friend recommended the pork chop so I went for it and didn't regret my decision! It was flavored well and cooked to my satisfaction. I went at 5 pm (opening time) si I didn't need a reservation and had the whole place to myself! I was told that things liven up between 6 and 7. Service was top notch as well! When in Kansas, I'd return.
google avatar

Yelp
When you walk in the restaurant, it's a dark, romantic atmosphere that really draws you in. Delicate rose centerpieces in a glass as a centerpiece on the tables. Along one wall is a wine cellar type display of their wine selection and the other wall are windows that look out onto Douglass and Broadway. I ordered the Hangar Steak cooked to medium well. It was cooked perfectly and very tender. A lot of flavor. The mascarpone garlic whipped mash potatoes were excellent. I had one mixed drink. It was the Jamaican Old Fashioned. I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys whiskey. Our server was really sweet and attentive. We will go back. This place would be great for any special occasion.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at the ambassador and made a reservation at the steakhouse with friends and then tried Dockum's after. Our steaks were great but our friends were not cooked to order. His went back twice and her's 3 times (then was charred), unacceptable! We were told that they ran out of steak knives so we had to use butter knives. That is crazy to me when you're a steak house and you're paying over $50 for a steak. They also said that they only have 2 dessert menus in the entire place so we never got a menu so couldn't order dessert. The service was horrible and SLOW!! We had reservations at 7:00 and then had to be at dockum's at 9:00. We had to leave our husbands to wait on the check. It took the manager about 20 mins to visit our table. It took 20-30 minutes to get a drink! Two tables next to us never had a server acknowledge them so they both left. The same with Dockum's downstairs. This was valentine's weekend so we dressed up and were excited to try this steakhouse. I was very disappointed and don't know if any of the 6 of us will be back!

Andrea P.

Yelp
Food ambiance and service were top notch! Definitely a must go to when I get back out to see my son!

Yelp
This restaurant was amazing!! I informed the server of my allergy and she informed the chef, so the chef made me a mushroom free risotto! It was a nice dinner, the dining room is a wonderful environment.

Yelp
I travel to Wichita often for work and historically have had great food at Sienna. Arrived on a slower Saturday afternoon. Awaited 15 minutes for anyone to be present to even be seated and another 30 for a beer. Burger was great. Apparently a theft had just occurred that led to the delays. Would NOT recommend outside of happy hour / dinner. Will also be reconsidering my hotel given the safety concerns in this area of town.

Yelp
I'm in Wichita for work and decided to check out this steakhouse. I came on a Monday evening so it was easy to get a reservation. The vibe was great and the food was amazing! I got the surf and turf special and the steak melted in my mouth! The best part of my experience was my server Dan. I was dining alone and celebrating a major accomplishment and he made sure to treat me extra special with a dessert on the house. I'll definitely be returning
google avatar

Yelp
This place is top notch. The steak is truly something. The hangar steak I had with my Caesar for dinner ($15 dollar add on) and then with eggs for breakfast ($19 total) rivaled wagyu at coastal venues in terms of tenderness and flavor. The pasta Carbonara is outstanding as is the meatball appetizer. And the service is stellar, always make sure to ask for Bri she is the best sever and host!

Renatta K.

Yelp
oh my love this place so good and the service is awesome!!! I will be coming here again.

Yelp
Had an amazing dinner. It was our first time here and an incredible experience. Thank you to everyone involved in making this happen. If it wasn't for you, my night saying "Yes" wouldn't have been possible. Such a memorable night! Thank you all again! It was amazing

Yelp
Just dined at Siena after a year hiatus, and I have to say... THEY ARE BACK!!! The food was positively incredible. The quality of the steak was amazing. My girlfriend and I were so impressed. The staff is top notch. It truly felt like the old days of true fine dining. We had oysters at the bar, then the beet salad and soup, followed by 2 filets. We are so excited to come back!
google avatar

Yelp
Interesting menu. Great selection and lots of variety. Of note the two times I have been there some items were not available. I have tried the Farmer's pasta which was great! Another time tried the 8oz Creekstone Farms Fillet pictured below when it arrived at the table. Cooked as requested and steak was excellent. There are only 4 pieces of asparagus so get sides if you want more food. It took 60 minutes to come out after my appetizer so they gave me a dessert to go. I am not sure this is typical but do not come here if you're in a rush. It is a wonderful restaurant and atmosphere is very pleasant. The wait staff are fabulous. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and very accommodating when people around me made requests.

Yelp
So good. Delicious filet. Excellent sides. Attentive service. Reasonable prices. Great location.

Yelp
We had wanted to try this restaurant for some time. Unfortunately this was a pretty big disappointment. To begin with, they apparently have difficulty keeping menu items in stock. I was expecting squid ink linguine as was a listed on the menu. Instead the little neck clams with pasta was served with spaghetti. There is a huge difference here as they are not the same. Even though o heard wait staff telling guests they were out of some of the sides, the fact this dish was materially changed was not mentioned when I ordered. I suspect they thought I didn't know the difference between squid ink linguine, which is black in color, and spaghetti. Had this been mentioned I would have changed my order to something else. The whipped butter served with the bread had the taste of whipped margarine. Apparently the chef thinks making things hotter with spice covers up mistakes. My pasta and my wife's halibut were both very spicy. The pasta so much so that my lips were burning. My wife also said her halibut was over seasoned with pepper. The Arancini and beet salad were both good and the old fashioned was made well. Granted this is a steakhouse and I made the fatal mistake of not sticking with a steak, which is something I generally don't do, but having the opportunity for squid ink pasta in a Midwest restaurant was an opportunity to good to pass up. It's unfortunate that wasn't what was served. Typically we'll try a restaurant a couple of times as most do some items better than others. Maybe we'll go back and try the steaks, but there are other moderately high end options in town that I trust more than what we were served on this occasion. The substitution of spaghetti for squid ink linguine is enough for me to rate this restaurant so low for our experience. Perhaps your experience will be better. Maybe we should have stuck with steaks since this is a steakhouse.

Yelp
Nice place and atmosphere in the historic Ambassador Hotel, great service, but wasn't overly impressed with the food. I was torn between ordering pasta or a steak, and was pleased to find out I could add on any meat to my farmers market pasta dish. The veggies (tomato, shishito peppers, leeks) seemed a little sparse for the serving, and the pasta was clumped together in a few bites. The steak had good flavor, but was a bit chewy. For dessert, the cheesecake topped with a layer of jellied fruit compote was good, but not great. There's a cool speakeasy-style cocktail lounge in the basement worth checking out.

Matt H.

Yelp
The hostesses were welcoming and friendly. They were the only ones who acknowledged my existence though. It definitely wasn't busy. It was odd. So after a bit, I got up and left.

Yelp
Came to town with my bestie for a Morgan Wallen concert on my bday weekend. We decided to come here as it was close to our hotel. The decor is beautiful dark and sophisticated. There was live music by 2 talented musicians and they played a variety of popular hits old and new and this enhanced the dining experience. Our cocktails were on point and our server Alex was sweet and accommodating. We decided to share the filet and had sides of asparagus and risotto all of which were cooked to perfection. The kitchen staff even split the meal for us for no extra charge. In honor of my bday I was given a choice of free dessert and it was amazing. Overall it was a perfect bday dining experience!!
google avatar

Yelp
Very nice dinner, attentive service. Mahi Mahi special was prepared well, polenta could have used a little more flavor. Dining companion was pleased with the filey. Burrata appetizer was also very nice.

Yelp
My friends and I had the best experience tonight at Siena Tuscan Steakhouse with our Chef's tasting! Ambyr exceeded our expectations tonight and made sure each course was perfect! Ean was our server and was very considerate - he let us know exactly what ingredients were being used in each dish and made accommodations as needed. Thanks for making our night!

Yelp
I am in town for business and staying at the Ambassador.. this restaurant is downstairs and I just tried it for the first time on a Tuesday night. I sat in the bar area and ordered the filet mignon with a side of Brussel sprouts. My steak was perfectly cooked - medium rare...I tasted a perfect light crisp on the outside and the inside was Medium rare, the way I liked. Every bite was delicious. The staff, even the hostess was very knowledgeable about the menu and even made recommendations. The entire staff, from hostess, servers and including the manager was very attentive and professional! I will dine here again and want to try the spaghetti next time! Thank you for the great meal!
google avatar

Laura K.

Yelp
Elegant late night dining option downtown. We were graciously seated near closing after an event. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgable. Our manhattans were perfection. The grilled fish - halibut and swordfish were delicious. This is a gem of a restaurant right when you need it.

Yelp
I'm literally shocked that this place has a 4 star average. Walking into the Steakhouse, the main entrance doors are locked. There are no signs to direct you to enter through the hotel, but that's what you are supposed to do (do yourself the favor and just head back to the car). I walk in and theres no hostess at the podium then, or even after waiting a few minutes. I decide to walk over to the bar. The bartender told me to sit anywhere. I sat at a high top by the bar. No menus available, but they have a QR code. I scanned the code and realized I had only 1 bar of service. It probably took 60-90 seconds to get to the menu, which kinda felt like an eternity but it eventually came up. Looked through the entire menu and decided on Barramudi. Scrolled through several other dishes a second time, checked out their other menus to waste time for about 10 minutes. I still haven't been approached by a single employee. After a couple more minutes, the bartender comes to me with a glass of water, I tell her I'm ready to order and order Barramundi and a coke (for $33). They offer no sides, no appetizers or anything. She walks away to put in my order. 5-6 minutes later she comes back with my coke and at this point I'm realizing this place is slow and doesn't seem well managed. There's no bread, no salad, nothing. I came hungry and I was regretting it, expecting my food to take a while to be delivered. I was right. Probably 25 or more mins later I was being served (this place had very few customers) and my disappointment immediately escalated to a whole new level. I was served two pieces of fish, both of which I could fit on the surface of my credit card. Had I been bold, I could have eaten the fish in 2 bites. I wasn't bold, I ate it in 4. Imagine being hungry, no bread to snack on, waiting there for close to an hour to finally get served annnnd boom. Here's our $30 fish. Let's talk about the taste. The fish had some shell like crust on the top. It was probably 1/8" thick, hard and difficult to cut through. Imagine a nice hard thick layer of baked topping on top of a soft fish and trying to knife through it. I was almost forced to eat it in 2 bites, the entire 2 pieces they game me one at a time. I finally cut through and took a bite. Fish was scorching hot, topping was warm. Didn't make sense in my mouth and I immediately start thinking, "How was this even cooked?" Not exactly a 4 star reaction to a first taste. In fact, that nice thick topping and scorching hot fish was very, very bland. The disappointment continued to mount. The bartender stopped back over after 2-3 minutes and asked how things were going. My plate was already clean and napkin was on the table. My entire experience was done before she could check to see if it was cooked ok. This also should have registered that it's time to get the check. But it didn't register. She walked away and didn't return for at least another 10 minutes. She finally returned as asked, "Check?" Lol. Uh yeah. And I bet you can guess... at least another 5-10 minutes. So I spent about 90 minutes and $33 on what was likely either prepackaged or previously baked fish that was reheated in a microwave. I'm not kidding, that's my honest guess. I hope people leave their honest reviews here because I ate here based on the good reviews. I can't believe how bad the experience was.
google avatar

Alex B.

Yelp
I thought the service was on par although there's room for improvement: empty dishes was left on our tables long after we were finished amongst other things but these are just simple details. I ordered a mushroom risotto that turned out disappointing. No flavours to be found and rather than being creamy it was rather liquid. Also the mushrooms needed to be chopped smaller instead of the oversized chunks presented. I did not pay for the dish of course. The manager also made an attempt to make it up by offering me another dish, at full price. I wouldn't recommend this establishment nor discourage anyone from going but rest assured I won't be going back.

Yelp
Definitely the best and classiest hotel in Wichita, and the steakhouse is right there at the top as well. Great wine selection. The service here is absolutely top of the line from the front desk, to the restaurant hostess, to the sales manager. About the food. I had the Ribeye with Brussel sprouts and fingerling potatoes. Absolutely DIVINE. I have this thing where I hate having dirty dishes all over the table from an appetizer and then dinner served around all that filth. It's really not a big deal to lots of people but I hate it and they didn't do that so that was great. This would be a great hotel to stay at to have a romantic getaway, bachelorette party, birthday, or wedding. Coincidentally, I took a quick impromptu tour with Robert to look at this location for my upcoming nuptials and he was amazing. Knowing it was well after 5 pm he still did the full tour and was very informative, friendly, and sent me an email post chat literally within 30 minutes recapping our visit. Really hoping everything looks good for me to get married here. LOVE this hotel!

Yelp
I stayed at the Ambassador Hotel. As a guest I didn't need to go far for dinner. Siana Tuscan House was easy access from the hotel lobby. The staff was very good and informative. They had a great bar selection. The food was amazing. Definitely would book a reservation and dine here again.

Yelp
Absolutely outstanding! Drinks, food and service. I need to tip my hat to our server, Xavier. We had a group of 15 and Xavier was one of the best servers I've ever had. Wonderful personality and superior attention to detail. I cannot say enough about his service. Wonderful job, sir! The drinks were top notch! I won't disclose the number of drinks I had but I will say I became very familiar with the Rye Old Fashioned. One of the best I've ever had. Kudos to the bartenders. The appetizers were amazing. My favorite was the BBQ Octopus. Wow! For my entree I had the Frutti De Mare. Black linguine with an assortment of seafood. Friends, this was a delicious entree! I did get to sample som of the Ribeye steak an it was incredible as well. The asparagus side was one of my favorites. Lastly was dessert and the Tiramisu was delightful. Overall a truly wonderful experience! I highly recommend you give them a try.

Yelp
My husband and I ate here late night due to our hotel's kitchen being closed early. This place was close by. This was a great find! For dinner we had the ribeye steak and the halibut. Very delicious! Flavorful and moist. We ate everything on our plates and sopped up the sauce. For dessert we ordered a chocolate torte-like (I forget the name of it) and cheesecake. The chocolate torte was delicious. Unfortunately the cheesecake wasn't that great. It didn't have any flavor. The customer service was great! The greeter was very welcoming and our waitress was very pleasant. The atmosphere was really nice. I liked the decor.

Debbie D.

Yelp
We had friends from out if town staying with us. We made reservations @ Sienna Tuscan Steakhouse. Never have I been so disappointed. The service was not bad but the food was terrible. Was told pasta was handmade & I seriously doubt that. There's were 4 of us & we all ordered different items & all were bad.

Yelp
High end Italian restaurant. We had Arancini, carbonara, Ceaser salad and strip steak. Everything was prepared to perfection. Service was outstanding. The wine list was magnificent with a great selection and decent prices. We are big time foodies from Los Angeles and this place rocks. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I've honestly only been for lunch. It was my coworkers and my favorite hideaway from work. Siena has a very simple menu for lunch. Their burgers and sandwiches are great. I love their fries with aioli. As I write this review, I suddenly want to walk over for lunch this week. Yum.

Yelp
Well done, all the way around! Amazing wine list (a bit long actually), fantastic service, great choices throughout, and (oh yeah) the food is awesome. We enjoyed the burrata for an app, and we each had the rib eye with a set of veggies. Paired with a Silver Oak, we were in great shape. Miguel was our server and could read what we needed and when we needed space.
