"This coffee shop is run by two cool lesbians who source their coffee supplies from women-owned farms, and you might spot them at pop-ups around town. The store brews all of the typical beverages, plus a handful of specialty drinks. (Our favorite is the smoked maple latte with black lava salt.) It’s also teeny-tiny—two-thirds of the South 1st St. space belongs to Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop, so there are only a couple of tables. Order your drink to go, but linger for as long as you can." - matthew jacobs
"This coffee roaster opened up shop this tiny Bouldin Creek Cafe within Suger Mama’s Bakeshop. Everything is made using its beans, from the classic espressos and lattes to its more inventive seasonal and house creations. The Teaches of Peaches is fantastic, a cold brew with peach nectar and mint syrup and a spicy Taijin rim." - Erin Russell
"Located on South 1st, Sightseer is a coffee roaster and shop serving a mix of classic coffee drinks and signature beverages, like a buñuelo latte with piloncillo sugar, cinnamon, and orange zest. They don’t have food on-site, but it’s right next to Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop, where you can pick up a few cookies and cupcakes on your way in or out. " - nicolai mccrary
"I popped into the very tiny cafe run by the roasting company of the same name, which offers a solid menu of coffee-shop classics and inventive drinks. I had the Teaches of Peaches — a cold brew with peach nectar and mint syrup, Tajín on the rim, and a whole chile-lime peach ring — which felt like a perfect embodiment of the company’s ethos: fun, unapologetically bold, and full of women-forward energy." - Nadia Chaudhury
"New to the South First stretch, this coffee shop attached to Sugar Mama’s offers thoughtful drinks made with its own roasted beans. There are the staples as well as fun syrups, seasonal lattes, and cold drinks. Takeout orders can be placed in person." - Nadia Chaudhury
