Silli Kori Review - Wicker Park - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Sometimes the one thing that can turn around the kind of day where you spill your coffee and crack your phone is diving into a bowl of curry. You can find this type of reset at Silli Kori, a casual Thai spot in Wicker Park. Their long menu can be a bit overwhelming, but the dishes that always put us in a good mood are the nan sod salad with a refreshing spicy lime dressing, the sweet and savory pad si ew, and the khao soi with a rich fragrant curry. While this place is great for takeout, they also have a cozy dining room and a spacious front patio. Here, there are often couples who live nearby having a casual date night, or friends having a meal before grabbing some drinks." - John Ringor

Delicious, fresh, and flavorful Thai food. Delightfully gracious and friendly staff, cozy yet funky interior vibe & calming yet festive patio with plants and candle-light. Very fun and hyggae atmosphere and excellent variety of freshly-made curries and noodle dishes with a pleasant blend of favors and spices. Loved the red curry and jasmine tea! The fresh rolls could use a wider variety of veggies or modified ratio of less bean sprouts to more basil & tofu (this is just personal preference, of course). Overall, a fabulously harmonious dining experience with courteous servers, nourishing and yummy entrees, and a relaxing way to spend the evening with family and friends. We hope to return often. 👍

We visited this place on Saturday early dinner time. We wanted to visit for lunch but they open late during weekend. We ordered two appetizers and two curries. Corn fritters were my favorite, must try! Egg rolls wasn’t greasy and crispy but my husband said spring rolls were better(his second time visiting). I am usually a green curry girl but panang curry was more flavorful. Curry was very creamy and mild flavor, I hope it was more spices and flavor. It was fine but not the best. I would like to try some noodle dishes next time.

Google
delicious tom kha and satay, cheap sapporo, cute chill vibes! the corn fritters were awesome too, very sweet and yummy.

Google
This is hands down my favorite restaurant! The food is delicious, with plenty of options at really reasonable prices. It’s family-owned, and you can feel the warmth as soon as you walk in—such a welcoming atmosphere. My partner and I usually get the Pad Thai and Sun in Law Eggs for a total of $30. In this area, that is usually the price for one person not two. Pick up usually has a quick turn around as well (15-25min). If you’re looking for amazing, affordable food in a cozy spot, definitely check this place out. You won’t be disappointed! Also you must try the Sun In Law Eggs, they are so good!

Google
Silli Kori has high quality dishes with large portions for reasonable prices. It is great takeout but also has a nice inside. I’ve seen people on dates and studying here. The owners are also wonderful people.

The food was amazing and the service even better! We got Red curry, Basil fried rice and Khao Soi for lunch, and we loved the food so much that we ended up getting Pad Thai for later. The food was authentic and homely. Definitely recommend coming here. Try to make use of the lunch special prices Mon-Fri. Lastly, Eric was great. Patient with our every needs and professional with the service. Thank you! Will definitely come back to try other dishes!!

Google
Very accommodating and delicious, especially for someone with celiacs disease. I ordered the Tom Ka soup and Pad Se Ewe Noodles—both of which put me in a place of content and comfort. The soup was both hardy and tangy, and the noodles had a “slurpy” value to them without being soggy. The atmosphere has always been one of my favorite things about this place. The dim lighting, exposed brick, and modern tables gives a professional feel to the place, but then this is juxtaposed by murals in the shadows and the owner’s daughter running around taking any edge of haughtiness the place might have away and making it homelike and comfortable.

Google
As other reviewers has said, the food here is fresh! Great family-owned vibe and the prices are pretty good given it’s right on Division st. The apps and curry dishes are what I usually go for but you can’t go wrong with their Pad Thai either. :-)

Yelp
Yellow curry & basil fried rice were amazing. Service was awesome & quick. Loved the ambiance of the restaurant as well- pretty brick interior coated in murals with a cool ceiling. try it!

Yelp
Good experience every time, both takeout and eat-in. Friendly staff, delicious Thai cuisine, good prices. Sidewalk patio on Division is a plus, and there's some shade from trees and a few tables have umbrellas. Not the biggest menu, but I'd rather have a menu I can trust everything on it will be very good. They have a bar but I'm not sure anything about it except that it exists.

Yelp
Decided to go here on a spur of the moment while out one day. The place was empty, but it was 4 pm. on a weekday. Service was fast, and the food came out in a reasonable time. Short rating: Fresh Rolls: 1 out of 5 Kao Soi: 3 out of 5 Son In Law Eggs: 5 out of 5 First, the fresh rolls are not spring rolls. It is mostly vegetables and comes with a sliver of tofu and a vinegar based sauce. You can add shrimp to the dish, but you barely get any shrimp in it. While the dish may be fresh, it is lacking in flavor for me. The Kao Soi is a curry egg noodle soup. While I think this was a good dish, it was a bit mild in the flavor for me. The flavor is good, but it's just a feeling of wanting more. I would eat it again, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Finally, the Son and Law eggs dish. This was the star of the show, and it packed all the flavor that I missed from the other dishes. I recommend the beef with this dish instead of the chicken. The seasoning in this dish tastes soy sauce based, and it is done very well. The eggs in the dish are hardboiled and fried. It is very unique and delicious.

Yelp
This place was recommended by a friend and my first time here is really great! Everything was incredible, tasty, and extremely reasonably priced with great portion sizes. I got their Thai iced tea and the five spice pork shoulder. It was so incredibly flavorful, fair, and well-cooked. Everything about it was delicious! Also split the Crab Rangoon with a friend who had a curry and really enjoyed. Finished it off with the tiramisu which was very reasonably priced. Overall, highly recommend for a beautiful atmosphere, great service, and delicious meal! Can't wait to go back here again soon!

Yelp
Always such friendly service here. Red curry is my jam and theirs passes the test. I love an extra serving of veggies added to mine and they don't hold back on it!which isn't the case at a lot of Thai places I've tried. Also their egg rolls are HUGE and delicious! Not those sad tiny ones you often get from nearby places.

Yelp
Came to get lunch at this unassuming Asian restaurant on Division. It turned out to only be doing takeout so I got it to go. Silli Kori is casually elegant and certainly it's not silly. Has pretty good prices for the quality. There's lunch specials and many things for any preferences of tastes. At lunch is the best time to come. It had pretty affordable lunch specials going on. This is only for weekdays. Has a lot to choose from. It's about $9 for the cheapest specials. Pick a noodle or rice. Then choose a protein. It's a few bucks or more for each. This then comes with a side. Add a few more bucks if wanting a soup. The one I got was the woonsen noodles, and I got it with tofu. Appetizer was the vegetable tempura. The noodles were those glassy ones and came with a good variety of vegetables. Carrots, long beans, and more. This was a good amount for the cheap price. Has only dinner on Sundays, but the rest of the week also has lunch. It only does takeout earlier so plan ahead about when to go make an order. There's plenty of options for meat eaters and vegetarians.

Yelp
Recently, I've been loving Thai food and have been trying more Thai places around Chicago and this is in my top 3 favorites so far! The portion sizes are generous, especially for the reasonable price point. The menu is on the smaller side but with the great quality of each dish, you won't be disappointed. Gyoza - perfectly crisp, savory, and plenty of filling, loved the sauce! Son in law eggs - I've never seen this dish at any other Thai places so I was really intrigued to try this. I absolutely loved it, full of flavor! It comes with fried soft boiled eggs, spicy basil beef rice bowl with sweet tamarind sauce. Pad Thai - wrapped under a sheath of eggs, this was a really delicious pad Thai. It was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. I went during a weekday for dinner so we were the only ones in the restaurant besides a few people eating outside on the patio, so service was quick, but it looked like there was only one person working. The place is casual and cozy. Will be back to try the other menu items!

Yelp
We've been meaning to try this place for a while and last week we finally did! We don't know much about Thai cuisine so we got just about every starter including the corn fritters, gyoza, crispy roll, and chicken wings. We also got the Tom Yum River Prawn to split. The crispy roll wasn't super flavorful, but we enjoyed everything else! The drinks were good as well. Service was a little slow even though the restaurant wasn't busy. They seemed to be doing a lot of takeout so perhaps they were understaffed. We sat outside so we were able to hear the jazz music from Innjoy next door. That was fun! All in all, I would come back here. Their lunch menu looks pretty different from their dinner menu so I'm curious what that is like.

Yelp
Wow welcome to my new favorite pad Thai restaurant. IYKYK that I love pad Thai and whenever I try a new Thai place, I have to order pad Thai (and crab Rangoon) regardless of what else sounds good. This pad Thai was perfect. Flavors were balanced between sweet, tangy, and a little spicy. Textures were varied; noodles, sprouts, and it was all covered in an egg sheath. Creative, beautiful, and completely satisfying. I added a little extra chili sauce, but that's to my own taste. The base entree was delicious. The crab Rangoon were amazing too, I loved that they included green onion into the mix. Furthermore, you cannot beat the cocktails. 1- because they excellent and 2- because they're soooo affordable ($11 for a Singapore sling). I will be back and this will be my top recommendation for pad Thai and my top restaurant request when I'm in the Wicker area.

Yasmine I.

Yelp
Food was even less than mediocre, there's way better Thai food around this area than this. Don't know why it's rated so highly.

Yung S.

Yelp
I'm surprised this place has such good reviews. Maybe it was an off night. Pad ka praw: big chunks of ground chicken that tastes like they sautéed it in water and a dash of soy sauce for color Pad Thai: mushy and so bland like they ran out of sauce. It's tough to prevent mushy noodles with delivery, but some restaurants are able to do it Red curry: I expected the sauce would be bland and watery like the rest, but it was decent. White rice: a doughy block of mushy rice.

Yelp
This place is amazing! I've been coming here for years, the food is delicious with great quality and big portions. I love the fact that they are consistent with the flavor and recipes. Highly recommended!

Yelp
I ordered Pad Thai and crab rangoon for carry out via phone. Showed up in 20 mins and the food was already ready. The crab Rangoon was the perfect crispy crust. The pad Thai was delicious and the portions were big, I got 2 meals out of this order. If you're looking to satisfy your Thai cravings I would recommend going here!

Yelp
Silli Korri was by far one of the best Thai restaurants I've been to. We ordered the Thai tea, pad se eew, and green curry. It's nice how they can make vegetarian substitutions for many of the dishes there. We went there at night, and they served both their lunch and dinner menus to us. I loved how our food had good spice and flavor. Service took a bit longer than we expected, but it might have also been the case that the restaurant was short on staff that night. The tea was refreshing and sweet. The wall paintings and decorations gave the restaurant a very relaxing ambiance. I could definitely see myself coming back here. If you are looking for a place that serves good Thai food at a good price, this is the place for you. As someone who loves spicy food, this place satisfied my palate!

James S.

Yelp
Food was amazing. I got the pineapple duck curry and it was the most flavorful Thai curry I've had. Very quiet space and perfect for a sit down dinner and conversation.

Yelp
Silli Kori is pretty cute/well maintained inside. The staff have been nice both times I've been. They have a lunch special for an app & entree- which is what brought me in both times. Both times it was empty other than myself. Not sure what the ambiance is like on the evenings. Many vegetarian options on the menu

Yelp
Got to try this place for their weekday lunch special and it did not disappoint! I tried the veggie potstickers as the appetizer and veggie pad Thai as the main dish and both were very, very tasty. I will definitely be back! And next time I'll take pictures lol

Yelp
This restaurant was a unique Thai place I've been wanting to try, and this particular rainy day was perfect for it. Though we were pretty much the only ones in the restaurant, the food was delicious. They were out of some items however. We ordered the crispy curry rice salad, which was delicious and refreshing. The kao soi was tasty but heartier. We also got a yellow curry with shrimp off menu, which my mom loved. Finally, we had pad Thai with tofu. This was delicious as well. I enjoyed the unique dishes that aren't typically seen at Thai restaurants, and all the flavors were tasty without being too heavy. Great find on division!

Yelp
What an adorable little place with great food! The massuman curry was like no other. It comes with beef and it was fork tender. The pad Thai was perfectly cooked and balanced.

Yelp
I've eaten at many different places throughout Chicago and Silli Kori has to be some of the best Thai food I have ever eaten before. I often find myself ordering Thai just because I love the cuisine and over the last 6 years I've tried many of the Thai restaurants in the city. Sure, there are Thai restaurants that are marginally better than Silli Kori, but none that beat it in terms of value. The prices are very fair and reasonable and the food is still amazing. The items I ordered were made to be spicy (and I can handle my spice) and they still were tasty. I highly recommend the pad see ew and the son in law eggs. I loved the ambiance as well, they offer indoor and outdoor seating and play some nice music. The service was also really good! The food came out quickly and the staff was nice. Overall, I highly recommend Silli Kori to anyone that wants excellent Thai food without having to shell out a lot of money.

Yelp
I had a fabulous meal here. Being a huge Thai food fanatic, when I saw that this restaurant served son-in-law eggs, I knew I had to try it! It's a rare menu item that I haven't seen anywhere else in Chicago. The ambiance of this restaurant is a vibrant, busy bar-restaurant (perhaps designed to mimic the energetic, casual atmosphere of a local Thai restaurant stall?). The service was great. I sat at an outdoor table and got to enjoy the warm evening while I waited for my food. The food was perfect. Son-in-law eggs are soft boiled eggs that are deep fried, rendering the outside surface of the egg browned and slightly crisp. The eggs are dressed with a tangy tamarind sauce, and is also served with beef and rice. Simply delicious! Also, for anyone who's interested in culinary lore, the dish was supposedly invented by a mother who learned that her son-in-law was not treating her daughter well-- she served him a pair of fried up eggs, a not-so-subtle dig at his manhood. Pretty badass if you ask me.

Yelp
Wanted to give another Thai in the area a try (tried Thai Lagoon last time) and Silli Kori impressed me! The Panang Curry Entree Chicken & Brown Rice plus Cucumber Salad side was a perfect meal for two people. The brown rice is fantastic -- I used leftover for an egg & rice breakfast and it was delicious. The panang was the perfect medium spice level as I like HOT and my partner prefers mild. Good mix of peppers & chicken. Takeout order was ready in 20 min and prices seemed pretty far. Looking forward to trying other dishes!

Yelp
Wow, this meal was a real treat for a nomadic Asian couple craving authentic Thai food. We had our fair share of fusion in Chicago (restaurants with menus including thai+sushi+dimsum), and just wanted some of that spicy fish sauce flavor in our dinner. Silli Koori has a beautiful patio out front and while they are neighbors to some lively pubs, you are relatively shielded from the street noise. We enjoyed the music that we heard and were able to converse at our normal volumes. Our server was very kind and helpful when we had questions about the menu. She even brought out a candle from inside for us for our "date night"! We ordered the fried chicken wings as an app, and for entrees we got the son in law eggs, crunchy rice salad, and the khao soi. Wow, we were blown away by all of it. The salad was my personal favorite with the crispiest most savory rice, wrapped in a fresh lettuce leaf to balance out the acidic bite of the filling. My partner devoured the khao soi - we normally eat our meals family style but it was clear who enjoyed what more. I loved the khao soi too but was more in the mood for crunchies, so I took a few bites of the creamy noodles with tender chuck roast & fried bits on top, and let him have the rest. The son in law eggs were tasty and served with some well seasoned ground beef. We were too full to finish it during dinner so we polished it off for lunch the next day ^.^ If you are looking for something truly flavorful and not just tofu pad thai for your next date night, please give Silli Koori a try! We were transported back to our month in Chiang Mai for the course of our meal. It truly made our weekend...we were happier here than when we dined at Alinea the night before

Yelp
This is just for a review on a take out order for my Panang Curry with shrimp. I found it to be slightly overpriced for what I got to be quite honest, but the flavor, spice, and warmth was great. I do feel like the texture was a bit to watered down for me though. In general, it's a bit thicker of a curry soup, but this one was runny. I still really liked the taste though, and my friend said normally when he orders from her that it isn't so runny, so maybe it was just an off day. I really want to try their pad kee mao though!
google avatar

Katherine G.

Yelp
Tonight we decided to get takeout and ordered Cashew Chicken and Shrimp Green Curry. The balance between the meat, vegetables, and rice was just right. It was definitely worth the price, especially compared to other Thai places in the area. I would highly suggest trying it out!
google avatar

Yelp
We wanted to try something new/different than your typical Thai restaurant. Silli Kori had some unique appetizers and entrees that were unavailable anywhere else we've seen. For an appetizer, we ordered the Avocado Tempura, which was absolutely delicious (but so is everything fried?!). The avocado tasted fresh, and the dipping sauce was a spectacular complement. For the entree, I ordered the Tom Yum River Prawn soup because many Yelpers seemed to have raved about this dish (Creamy Lemongrass Spiced Broth over Glass Noodles, Mushrooms & Cilantro). If you are very sensitive to the pungent seafood smell and taste, this dish may not be for you. It was a little fishy in my opinion. The lemongrass and cilantro did not mask the taste of the seafood. I wouldn't order it again. The entree was pretty generously portioned, and the prawns were large. The other members in my group really liked their dishes (not fishy!): Kao Soi and the Son In Law Eggs Parking on division is a pain! There's a bunch of metered parking in the area, but they're usually always full. So make sure you carve out time to look for parking!
google avatar

Mary Y.

Yelp
First of all, i want to say that this place was pretty busy. If you wanna eat here good luck finding parking. I understand due to covid we get a certain time limit, however when we got there and order they told us we had only 20 minutes to eat. My family and I felt uninvited/ not welcome. We felt rush to order and we felt like we were not getting any help. Due to the fact that we felt rush to eat, we decided to take our food to go and when we ask that the waitress gave us a mean look. We werent help as much as other people there and to be very honest they were assisting the white people the most. I would not recommend my friend and family here. If i could give a a zero star i would. For the food: The egg rolls was very plain, it had no salt or anything. The appearance of it look good and tasty, however it did not taste how it look. Plain eggroll. The fried avocado; that was also plain, no flavor or nothing. The only thing that made it taste good was the sauce. All of the entrees we got was just too sweet. Everything i taste was sweet. Such as the son in laws egg , it had beef with beans, rice and fried eggs. That one i thought it would be more on the savory side instead of sweet side. I did not enjoy it. The pad thai was sweet as well, it just didnt have a lot of flavor. I was disappointed especially being really immersed and knowing how a dish should taste like. It was a truly disappointment. Lastly, the fried rice, it was just too sweet. I need savory and half of these food I thought was going to have a flavorful taste mixture of savory and sweet. I am really disappointed. Overall, I would not come back here. Bad parking, too busy, feel unwelcome, rush, bad flavor and i wouldnt bring my friend nor family here.

Yelp
This unassuming Thai restaurant nestled into wicker park might be easy to pass by but I'd recommend giving it a try. Especially if you want a nice patio, fantastic service, and a meal that won't make you feel so bloated you can't enjoy the rest of your day/evening. The drinks are good. The menu is small but well executed. You truly can't go wrong. Luckily I live close so I've been through a few times. The pad Thai is great. I enjoy the salads as well which are larger than expected. This weekend it was the beef salad.

Yelp
This Thai restaurant is a hidden gem. I've eaten at many Thai places around Chicago and this one is at the top of my list. The food was delicious and spicy. On top of that, the service was incredible. We ordered vegetable gyoza and thought there was meat in it so we opened up a few of the gyoza. Our waiter politely explained to us that there was no meat and the texture that we felt was actually mushroom. She then had all of the gyoza remade for us after we ripped a few apart! Lastly, the ambiance here is great. It's a quiet and dimly lit which is perfect for intimate gathering or date.

Yelp
We came here on a whim, and we were very impressed with the food and prices! The portions were also generous. The service was friendly and attentive. To start, we had the corn fritters (not pictured) and crispy rolls. The corn fritters were great, and the crispy rolls reminded me of Vietnamese egg rolls. They were light, so a sauce may have made it more flavorful. For our entree, my bf got the sons in law eggs rice bowl, and I got the green curry pasta. I highly recommend this dish- The scallops were perfectly seared, and the green curry, eggplant, basil, and noodles were so tasty, just a hint of spice. I would not hesitate ordering this again!

Yelp
I was actually quite surprised by the food from Silli Kori. We had ordered for pick up via Chowbus and food was ready to go as I pulled up. While COVID has limited dine in options, I'll say take out and to go orders are so streamlined from just about everywhere now. Love it. For food, we did the Son in Law Eggs (lol... what a silli name) but very interesting. Fried soft boiled eggs with spicy basil beef served over rice with a nice sweet tamarind sauce over. Highly doubt it's authentic Thai cuisine, but without a doubt that was one tasty dish! Yums. Also did a basil eggplant entree. While I'm most familiar with basil chicken, the eggplant was a nice touch of trying something a bit different. For our last entree we ordered was the Pad Thai. I think a lot of time in Thai food, I find that they add too much sugar in some of their dishes, but this Pad Thai was spot on. All in all a great meal to go. Price point is pretty nice and won't break the bank. Will definitely be back for more. 'Til next time, cheers!

Yelp
I ordered takeout for delivery after reading reviews about their son-in-law eggs. This was my GrubHub order: Son-in-law Eggs Green curry with tofu Tom yum soup with chicken The SIL egg dish seemed so unique! It was half basil minced beef and half boiled eggs with a sweet tamarind sauce and fried onion. Everything was served on a bed of rice, garnished with Thai basil and cilantro. It was a little pricey (~$15) and did not have as much of a basil sauce or much flavor as it looks. I'm glad I tried it, but I won't be ordering this again. This was my first time in general having food here. The green curry was the perfect amount of spicy (I'd say medium) with plenty of bamboo shoots, eggplant, bell peppers and tofu. I could have several meals from this portion because their curry was so rich! I also got the chicken Tom yum soup with was my favorite. Packed with lemongrass flavor and the sour-tang I was craving on a cold winter night in Chicago. In also made this last several servings and the best part was for leftovers, I added white rice into the soup and microwaved everything so it was like. Tom yum rice soup porridge. To sum it up, I'd say Silli Kori serves good food, some unique dishes, and their portions are generous, depending on what you get. I gave this place 3 stars for a middle of the road rating, but I think this place can grow on me. Next time, I plan to try their pad Thai, drunken noodles, and pad see ew.

Yelp
The service and the food were incredible! Very cozy/ chic atmosphere as well. The Thai coffee and lemonade were both fresh and delicious. We loved the corn fritters and gyoza appetizers!

Yelp
Loved the food here, we ordered Gayoza, tom yum and pad Thai with hot sake. Food wise this place is just amazing but on service side things are very different, our server was impatient. while we were having our meal she came with a check and asked how many boxes we would like? And this was 10mins before their closing time. Also she reminded us twice that it's past 10 and they are closed while we were waiting for Uber. Again great food but just a heads up on the service Not sure if I'll go back, but might get a delivery though

Yelp
Great food and vibes! Very affordable and service was great! We got the pad se ewe and panang curry and they were both really good.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this spot because I was in the area. I love Thai food and I must say this was a great spot! For appetizers, I ordered the chicken and tofu lettuce wraps and chicken gyoza. I was surprised by the lettuce wraps because they didn't use regular lettuce, but Belgian Endive! It was delicious. The sauce that the gyoza was drizzled in was amazing! It was a sweet sauce that was so addicting. For my entree, I got the Soi Khaosan Pad Thai with chicken and tofu. It was unique because the noodles was wrapped in an egg. I made sure to mix everything and wow. 10/10! It was sooo tasty! With COVID-19, they're following the precautions and is very clean. Will definitely come back here again to try their other dishes!

Yelp
Chicken satay hits different. My favorite food here is the chicken satay, always cooked so perfectly and comes with a peanut sauce. Then pad woonsen is always so good!! And lastly the cucumber salad is my favorites, it's sweet and vinegary and just not something I am used to but so delicious. Staff is so friendly and kind. I love this place!

Yelp
Got the Pad See Ewe and Yellow Curry. This is now our favorite Thai. We got extra veggies in the curry. Can't wait to try out more items.

Yelp
Delicious Thai food. The crispy roll and beef and broccoli are my favorite! The restaurant itself is very cute but also great for takeout.

Yelp
Wow this is one of those spots that makes me so happy to live in Chicago and to live, in general. A few bites of the food and we had the biggest smile on our faces. The food here is a little bit fusion but still has very authentic Thai flavors. We gotten son's eggs and the curry one. Prices are reasonable considering how much food you get. Drinks are quite good too. The patio was wonderful and not crowded at all especially compared to all the busy spots on the street. I absolutely can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I had the massaman curry and it was the best Thai dish I've ever had! Eaten here a few times and everything I've ordered was great. Prices are reasonable and the place is BYOB.

Yelp
Incredible. I was looking for a place to take my family when I was in town, and was excited to try this place after seeing it had one of the best and highest # of reviews with over 300 near 5-star ratings. I've had Thai on the east coast, west coast, and the South, and this was excellent. Full of flavor from the appetizer to the first bite of the Son in Law rice bowl I got. On top of that, generous portions, and beautifully presented. On top of even that, extremely reasonable prices and a lovely ambiance. Not a single left to ask for.

Yelp
Overall thoughts: nice ambiance, the restaurant tho was very cold and we kept our coats on. The dinner menu is much smaller than the lunch menu - I wonder why? But everything is available with tofu as well. They were out of multiple dishes by 7pm which was odd. The food itself was good but not great. Don't know if I would come again but not a bad experience. What we got -- Corn fritter appetizer: kinda odd but wasn't bad? Vegetarian gyoza appetizer: this was very good. Get this! Pad Thai: lotta different meat and tofu options. Note, it comes with an egg across the top which I've never seen but easy to take off. It was good but not particularly great. But pad Thai.

Yelp
When I realized this used to be Thai village I got even more excited . I've been out of the Chicago areas for a while and someone recommended Silli Kori. I'm happy to report that it still is as delicious as when it was Thai village . The pad Thai is my go to and it was delicious!

Yelp
We ordered takeout. Service was on time and organized they spaced out each takeout order so it was ready for when you got there. We got the following Pepper Steak: this came with a side of white rice. The pepper cake with sautéed onions, pepper, corn, and carrots. I would have been better if it was a little more spicier. Glass noodles: these were thin noodles with carrots, onions and green beans. This was okay. I ordered this before and it was better I think this was just missing some spice. Garlic basil fried rice: this tasted like your typical chicken basil fried rice. The chicken was cooked well. Overall, this needed more flavor and spice added to all three dishes.

Yelp
Love this place, super cozy, staff is super nice and the food is authentic. It gets a little cold in there but apart from that it's so beautiful inside and a great atmosphere

Yelp
I went here last night for a to go order. The pad Thai was great, but they didn't put any eggs in it at all. I will definitely recommend, but make sure to let them know you want eggs in your order.
