Okay, but overpriced. The dining room was smaller & louder than I expected. Maybe sitting outside on the terrace is nicer? If you're not there for the oysters, you're probably in the wrong place. I ordered the shrimp & grits - one of the least expensive entrees on the menu at $29. While the flavors were very good, the shrimp was overcooked, which was particularly disappointing considering the restaurant's focus is seafood, and the elevated prices. My friend ordered the scallops at market price & I was not particularly impressed by them either. All that being said, the service was very good. Our server was kind, professional & attentive, and the manager made the rounds, delivering bar drinks & making sure everyone was happy. It's just not really my type of place - a little too bougie without really delivering on the food in my opinion. If I'm going to spend that kind of money on dinner, I can think of other places that are more comfortable with more consistently delicious food.

Google
Great experience and so glad we decided to spend our 19th Anniversary dining here! We really enjoyed our meal from start to finish. The Halibut special was outstanding and my husband said the lobster ravioli was on point. If you try the Dulce Leches cake it really is stunningly delicious. To top it off, we really appreciated how every angle of service was on top of every detail to make our dinner perfect! SILO never disappoints!

This restaurant is sure to keep you coming back. From the drinks to the food to the atmosphere, you will not be disappointed! We started off with the petite seafood platter that had enough food for two people. We then had the chef selection of raw oysters which were served with the best cocktail sauce, vinegar mix, and horseradish that I’ve ever had. We continued our meal with the tuna tartar and y’all, DO NOT SKIP the tuna tartar. We concluded with the calamari, which I’m sure is the best in San Antonio! For drinks I got the Bubblin’ Buffalo that is made with Buffalo Trace bourbon and was so good! My husband had the deconstructed old fashion which he also enjoyed. The atmosphere is unbeatable, especially if you can snag a spot on their cozy terrace. Try this place for yourself on your next date night! You will not be disappointed.

We came from Fort Worth for our Anniversary and chose Silo to have dinner. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food. Each dish we ordered was not only fresh but bursting with flavor. Try Cioppino! Another dish that truly stood out was Roasted chicken which was a perfect balance of textures and tastes. The seasoning was spot-on, enhancing the natural flavors. Another noteworthy aspect of our visit was the service—our waiter, Chris, was exceptional. He greeted us with a genuine smile and was both friendly and attentive throughout our meal. His knowledge regarding the menu was impressive; he was able to make recommendations tailored to our tastes and answered all our questions with confidence. The way he explained the specials made them irresistible! Chris checked in on us regularly without being intrusive, ensuring that our glasses were never empty. Overall, I can wholeheartedly recommend SILO on I-10 to anyone looking for a fresh, delicious, and tasty meal complemented by excellent service. Hats off to the entire team for creating such a delightful dining experience!

Google
First time at this location. Jonathan L was our server and provided excellent recommendations. My wife has the Pan Seared Scallops which were amazing. I have the chef's special which was herb crusted flounder topped with lump crab and micro greens served in a bed of sauteed green beans and wild mushroom risotto. That is one of the best dishes I have ever had.

Google
Amazing atmosphere and even better food. The cocktails and wine selection are top tier. Marty is the man! And when I say that he is the reason I keep coming back! Outstanding service. The food is incredible from the appetizers to the salads and don’t get me started on the entrees. This place is the go to for any date night!!! Located on the second story and has an elevator which allows for a unique and one of a kind experience! The desserts are the icing on the top!!

Google
Very nice, with a private elevator to the restaurant. The service is impeccable, the food is well portioned and prepared by highly trained professionals. I had the red Snapper which was fantastic. The decor and the open kitchen are exceptionally paired. Our service professional was knowledgeable and well informed on all menu items.

Google
I recommend this restaurant highly for the best oysters in SA. Atmosphere is good but I think it deserves a little more refined environment for how good the food and service are. My table was by the window and it looks out into a parking lot. This can’t be helped but it’s just something to consider when getting a window seat. Service was stellar. Attentive but not pushy. Friendly and informative. The food is delectable. Perfect cuts, good flavor profiles, servings are well proportioned and it leaves nothing to be desired. Each plate was eaten until clean. I spent about 2 hours there, bill was $230, plus $50 tip. We ordered ahi tuna appetizer, salads, 2 drinks each, half a dozen oysters, then an entree each and finished it off with dessert.

Yelp
Great atmosphere just ignore the interstate noise! The food and service are great. Ask for Evan at the patio bar. We enjoyed the beet salad, lobster roll and chicken fried oysters IBB

Yelp
Came here for lunch, got the Seasonal Mule which is perfect if you like mules/mojitos. Tried the oysters of the day, my favorite were the Rocky Nook. Server Scott was kind, attentive and professional. Every visit here and all Silo locations is always 5 stars and worth every penny.

Yelp
Once again Silo over delivered! We went for wife's 48th birthday and it wasAMAZING! The tuna and truffle cauliflower side were absolutely amazing! The service as always was over the top. Thank you for a great dining experience!

Yelp
Service: 5 stars Food: 3 stars Ambiance: 5 stars Manager: -10 stars We have been coming to Silo's for a few years, but unfortunately, this last experience will keep us from coming back. It's unfortunate because all the servers are amazing, especially the bartender Marty. I ordered the beef tenderloin I and asked for medium rare for the temperature. It was served well-done. I notified our server right away and politely sent it back. The manager made our server come back to the table with the same plate and explain that it was actually cooked properly, but the lighting outside was "bad" and therefore it did not allow us to see that it was medium rare. Then proceeded to welcome us to come inside to look at it in better lighting. I was completely astounded by the manager's handling of this for several reasons: 1) The ridiculous explanation of the lighting implies we are too stupid(or cannot see) to know what a medium rare temperature of a beef tenderloin looks like. 2) Because we don't know what medium rare looks like, I should accept the original preparation as is, even though we already had sent the plate back. 3) Not taking accountability for the mistake , no apology, not correcting it right away and making me feel as if I did something wrong. The treatment from the manager was disrespectful, and based on principle, I cannot bring myself back here, nor recommend it.

Yelp
We frequent this location and always go into the bar. Marty is probably the BEST bartender I've ever known. I tell him to surprise me and he has yet to disappoint . Everyone is always very friendly and accommodating. Food is on another level, love the beet salad, the spring rolls and the lobster roll!

Yelp
Silo Oyster Bar was a terrific choice to start off March 2025 with Sunday brunch. I made a reservation for two thinking the restaurant would be buzzing but to my surprise my partner and I had the entire restaurant to ourselves! My partner was in 7th heaven, enjoying the empty space but I was a bit wary . Anyhoo our server promptly seated us, answered questions about the cocktail options and came back with an exquisite drink and crab cake to start the meal. The crab cake had quite a bit of breading which I guess provided height. However there was plenty of lump crab meat and the flavor was excellent. Next up our entrees, Texas Redfish and Ahi Tuna, were delish and cooked to perfection. The redfish had a rich creole sauce. The tuna was cooked med rare and was enhanced by a sweet and spicy couscous. Our waiter frequently stopped by to refill glasses, clear plates and was very attentive. Best of all, I was happy to see a variety of price points on the menu. From lower cost roast chicken to items priced at market rate. My only suggestion would be to tell patrons the market price of the daily special and other menu items to avoid that awkward question. Silo is a great choice for fine dining and fresh seafood.

Yelp
Perfect Night Out! Our dinner was superb, perfection plated. I had the Cioppino and it was the best I can remember. My wife was thrilled with the Tristan lobster tail with carrots and truffle mac. We ate outside in the loft and the atmosphere just welcomes conversation. Our server knew everything about the menu and all the details of the cooking process. The manager stopped by to make sure everything was to our complete satisfaction and it was.

Yelp
One of my favorite local places for a special night with my wife. Great atmosphere and vibe after an elevator ride to the restaurant level. Love the variety of oysters and the fish dishes. Wife and i are doing a mostly dry January so went to Silos for our "cheat night" sharing a wonderful bottle of Bordeaux and the most amazing grilled halibut special. Staff are always so pleasant as is the manager who clearly loves his job and is proud of his team.

Yelp
We have been going to Silo for many years... Food is consistently delicious and the service is always fabulous. Jonah has seen us several times, and he always remembers us. Being on the terrace is always a treat. The outdoor bar is like a garden retreat. Inside the restaurant, it's very streamlined, minimalist and hipster. Go here if you want some fresh delicious seafood, pasta, chicken, or a delicious burger during lunchtime. It's very affordable at that time. I've never eaten there at dinner because it's a little bit pricey, but I hope to try it one day. For now, I will stick to lunch.

Yelp
If you haven't checked out the Silo Restaurant yet and you're in San Antonio, what are you waiting for? It's a must! Whether it's a romantic date night or just treating yourself, this place has it all. Seriously, dive into anything on the menu, but don't miss out on the Sea Bass--it's out of this world! And hey, if you didn't plan ahead, no worries! The bar area is just as awesome, with the same top-notch service and delicious food, just with a bit more buzz. Cheers to good times at Silo!

Yelp
Silo Oyster Terrace never disappoints. We set outside of the terrace on a warm evening. The atmosphere is lively, the bar has great drinks and the wine list offers great offerings. We enjoy the clam chowder and great small plates. Of course, the variety of oysters are amazing, in particular, the Prince Edward Island variety Great date night location.

Yelp
This place is always amazing. It's a family favorite. For appetizers we had the jumb lump crab cake and the grilled oysters Rockefeller. Both were delicious. For meals we had the chicken fried oysters, miso glazed salmon, and the Cioppino. For dessert we had the fan favorite coconut pie and the dulce de leche tart. We also had a few of their drinks around the table. The service was impeccable like always and the food was to die for! If you're looking for a place to have a nicer dinner or just somewhere to celebrate, come here.

Yelp
Big variety of oysters to choice from. Not pictured are blue cheese mashed potatoes that were too amazing and didn't last long enough for a photo. Great ambiance as well. Will be back again!!

Ann C.

Yelp
Had a living creature in one of the oysters we were served, but otherwise food and service was quite good.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was delicious and never disappoints, the service however left much to be desired. Had to ask several times for water refills. We received coffee before desserts and when asked for a refill to have with dessert, it never came. I was told my entree was the last one left and then was told sorry someone else got it but they replaced it with another fish. For the price the service should match the level of food, sadly that wasn't the case for us.

Yelp
I had a date night with my wife and this place was a great choice. The food was really well cooked with awesome flavor. What made the food even better was the stellar service. The staff was not over the top, but made sure that we were set for each course. Example would be changing out silverware.

Yelp
This is a perfect place for a first date, I went with my girlfriend and we loved it! Its cozy, pretty and with excellent service, food and drinks! I ordered the lobster roll that I was craving, and I was not disappointed, it was light, tasty, and fresh! They have a terrace with a bar, perfect for a cap out drink!

Yelp
The food was amazing atmosphere Service was great Lamb chops was awesome Great wine too

Yelp
Everything about this place is good. Quality of food , speed of service and the staff if always friendly and personal. The price you pay is on par with the price you pay

Yelp
Delicious clam chowder and crab cake lunch. Beautiful sunny winter day treat. Service not the best but only one server for whole Restaurant.

Yelp
Girls' dinner at SILO Terrace Oyster Bar was a success! We started off with a dozen oysters - chef's selection of 3 different kinds. They were fresh and tasty, but we could not tell the difference between them TBH. We also sampled a few of their cocktails - not too sweet, just like I like them. We opted to get several of their small plates - ahi tuna, the crab cake, and calamari with an order of truffle mac & cheese for the table. We finished our dinner with a slice of coconut cream pie to share. Everything was delicious and their service was top notch! Our server and the restaurant manager were very attentive and elevated our dinner experience to the next level!

Yelp
The restaurant is beautiful and the service was good as well. We had a party of 12 and I was impressed with the waitstaff. The food it self was average at best. I ordered the shrimp and grits and there was a lack of flavor. I ordered a side salad as well but never received it. I did order an old fashion to drink and it was one of the better old fashions I have had.

Yelp
This restaurant is amazing. First of all the views from the windows are spectacular! The service was impeccable, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was delicious, flavorful and so freshly made. But these drinks!! I am not a big drinker but The Hemingway was made so well that I could have drank more This is definitely a place to come back for more. Thank you Silo for a wonderfully crafted experience.

Yelp
The food and the service was excellent my only complaint was that the private room for 16 had major eco and sound issues. It was very laud. Easy place to park. Lunch prices were reasonable.

Yelp
A couple days ago we had a hankering for seafood. Headed to San Antonio to enjoy a few bites at our favorite Silo Terrace Oyster Bar. Yummy food, excellent Rombauer Chardonnay, and over the top service. We loved the attention. When we ordered our wine, the server said it wasn't chilled enough so he brought us a couple glasses of Processco to hold us over. Nice!!!! Highly recommend this particular Silo!
google avatar

Sarra G.

Yelp
I didn't get any pictures when we went to this place, as we were with the boss. I would highly recommend this restaurant! Accommodating, friendly atmosphere, ample seating, great service! The food was spectacular! We ordered oysters and shrimp for appetizers and red fish for dinner - SO good!

Yelp
Very fancy nice place~ delicious water. Good service, food came out quick. Price is about right for upscale. I really enjoyed the mussels with the grilled bread, very delicious. The lobster roll was good, so small, i wish i had more bites. The fried oysters was good but average. The butterfish risotto was delicious, i love the smell and taste of the truffle sauce. The raw oysters chef special was delcious and sweet! Super fresh oysters. The clam chowder was good. Overall this is a good place to eat fine dining. 4/5 stars because they brought out the clam chowder with the entree instead of as an appetizer.

Yelp
My wife and I have been to Silo, (both locations) numerous times now. I just realized I have yet to write a review, so here it goes. Tonight we decided to share a few small plates. We ordered oysters Rockefeller, fried oysters, and crab cake. The plates were amazing! The crab cake was subtle full of flavor. It was certainly worth trying again. Now to the oysters... First I just want to say WOW! The oysters Rockefeller was some of the best either of us have had the pleasure of tasting. Background sidebar; we both have lived in regions known for world-class seafood. Saving the best for last; let me now talk about the fried oysters. Usually, this type of fare is relegated to the fish and chips level of dining. For me to say that I, preferred them over the Rockefeller is telling. (Sigh) My wife wants it known that she preferred the oysters Rockefeller, by far. We finished the evening with a Dulce de Leche chocolate tart. It was a wonderful cap to such an amazing meal. In case anyone is wondering, the service was, as always superb. (Special shout out to Daniel for taking such top notch care of us.)

Yelp
We've been here once pre-pandemic and several times during. We've really enjoyed the terrace area and feel safer with the "outdoor" setting. Once was for restaurant week where my husband had and enjoyed the lobster roll. Another time he's had the Chilean sea bass as well. In the more recent times, we've really enjoyed the dozen East Coast raw oysters on a half shell (STOB mixed chef's selection). The variety yesterday included Thatch Island, Malpeque, and Shipwreck. I've not had an oyster here I didn't like! This time my husband started off with the Terrace Top Shelf margarita and I had the Sir Annoberry Rita which had a spicy kick to it. He later also had Blue Moon. The Chef's Fish Special was the Red Snapper with lump crab and risotto which my husband had. He said it had great flavor but was slightly overcooked. I had the Pan Seared Sea Scallops with quinoa in red curry and coconut cream sauce. Love the way the quinoa was prepared with bites of crunches with celery, carrots and cashews! I'm seeing if my husband could try to replicate it at home! The dessert selection sounded fabulous and I've had their chocolate mousse before but this time we had to pass. We'll for sure be back!

Yelp
I love seafood. I love their seafood. Small location on the second floor. Everything was good. I tried Crab cake Oyster Nigiri and sashimi - a bit heavy handed on the rice. Rice wasn't flavored right. But the fish was delicious!!!!! Clam chowder Truffle Mac and cheese Brussel sprouts - nothing stood out here Some Asian sea bass maribund? I forgot the name of the fish. It reminded me of Redfish. Surprisingly my least favorite. Cocktail - Hemingway. Very tart just the way I like it.

Yelp
We came here for lunch during my husband's birthday . We found the service seamless and efficient . The Rockefeller Oysters were a bit dry but very flavorful while my husband ordered some clam chowder soup and lobster rolls . My husband really liked the clam chowder soup and commented it is one of the best clam chowder he ever tasted . I had the Grilled Texas Redfish with lump crab and it was so flavorful . They have an extensive wine cellar and good selection of wines . Highly recommending this place .

Yelp
My new favorite seafood place. Beautiful venue, excellent service, outstanding food, extensive wine list. We started with clam chowder (bacony yet not overpowering, creamy but not dull, clammy but not fishy) and a daily special carrot ginger soup (spicy with ginger, a heat that cut through the sweetness of the carrots). Both recommended. Next we shared a large cold platter with lobster, shrimp, crab, and oysters with several delightful house made dipping sauces and fresh grated horseradish. The cocktail sauce was especially good. All the items were cooked perfectly. Nothing was overcooked or tough or dry or long in the tooth, We also had the pepper crust ahi tuna (a must order item) and the beet goat cheese salad. DH thought the beets weren't very exciting, but that's exactly why I liked them. They were a textbook presentation of roasted beets, goat cheese and arugula with a champagne vinaigrette. Their very simplicity made them an excellent pairing for the range of shellfish without clashing with anything. Last we shared a slice of killer coconut pie. Save room for it, you won't regret it. Highly recommended.

Yelp
My husband and I went here for dinner today and had a wonderful experience. As soon as you walk in there is a beautiful wine wall right outside the elevator and there is a nice view of the dominion across the highway. We had easily made reservations online and were seated right away. Our server Keith was very efficient and informative about the menu. We were offered our choice of accompaniment for our glasses of ice water: cucumber, lime, lemon or grapefruit - what a nice touch! My husband enjoyed the Topshelf Terrace margarita. New plates and silverware were given to us in between courses. We started with the signature chicken fried oysters, and then the clam chowder and spinach salad. I loved the salad with the fried Brie!! For main entrees my husband ordered the beef tenderloin, and I ordered the miso glazed salmon, as well as the truffle macaroni and cheese. Our entrees were enjoyable and the macaroni and cheese was excellent. The dulce de leche dark chocolate tart was the perfect sweet ending to our meal. If you are celebrating a special occasion or looking for a fancy meal, I recommend Silo!

Yelp
We came for a quick lunch at Silo with our daughter and our server was very accommodating. The food was delicious as always, the special was EXCELLENT! It was very quiet, clean & nice. Overall we love Silo.

Yelp
Wonderful food and a great place for date night or a dinner party with friends. The staff is always very friendly and the service is on point.
google avatar

Thomas U.

Yelp
Food was excellent, service was outstanding however the ambiance is totally destroyed by a lack of a dress code. We have never seen a larger group of slovenly dressed patrons that was definitely off putting in enjoying our meals completely. Our guests were equally annoyed by the lack of a dress code. Texans can do better.

Yelp
Met my Second best friend here as she lives in San Antonio (Only 1 hour drive from Austin) Shes been here and could not wait for us to experience it too. That is indeed what it is...an experience! L***MARLY & JULIA were the epitome of SUPERIOR customer service. Extremely accommodating, charismatic and patient with 3 hyper women who were so happy to be reunited after covid shut down- perhaps a tiny bit loud; but we were respectful :) +DO Try the oysters! Perfection +DO try the scallop +DO try the Lobster tail +DO try MARYLYS famous espresso martini. Good grief Im still dreaming about it. +TRUFFLE Mac. To die for. Atmosphere is sexy, cool and yet inviting. I felt like I was at an upscale oyster bar in Los Angeles minus the douche bags and laughable customer service. Will be back!
google avatar

Laura A.

Yelp
Be sure to REVIEW your bill before signing! Our waiter overcharged us more than DOUBLE the amount owed, when questioned he said they had a "new system" scurried to the register and proceed to change my bill from $208 to $68 and the two friends I was with from $102 to $68 each with no further explanation or apology. He also tacked on a bottle of wine that we had paid for in the bar. My only regret is I left him a tip. The food was delicious. Oysters were fresh, fish cooked to perfection. ( 10/10/23 dinner party of 3)
google avatar

Ashley Z.

Yelp
Collin was wonderful. He made excellent recommendations and though remained professional, he didn't make the experience stuffy or pretentious. The food, oysters and drinks were excellent. My husband ordered the chef's special of surf and turf and said that he wants that as his last meal. I'm excited to bring my folks here when they come to town. Thank you!
google avatar

Tuan P.

Yelp
This is one of the few restaurants where after you finished dining, you're still hungry. The portion size they're serving you is so small that it probably won't fill you up. The oyster tray is something that was recommend by our server. The oysters were not of good quality. They're really small. I had the Chilean sea bass, can't remember whether it's market price or not. I thought it's going to be a whole fish or something. It's only a really tiny piece of fish. It's so small I can't even tell the difference between a regular bass vs Chilean sea bass. We dined here and then we went home and dined some more.
google avatar

Jennifer P.

Yelp
This is our second time coming and needless to say the second time was a disappointment. The service was just ok. When you are going to pay $250 on the check I would think the server would know about the oyster and have recommendations. We got our oyster and she didn't even explain what kind we got other than this is your half and this is his half. We also went for the my husband's birthday the first time we went we got a a glass of champagne this time around nothing. Now let's go to the food. Very disappointed!! The beef tenderloin needed salt big time!! The tuna has such a heavy smoke that's all you could taste. For the price you pay it's not worth it. Very disappointed

Yelp
Soli is a great date night restaurant. It's nice to meet friends and enjoy cocktails on the rooftop deck.

Yelp
Nice ambience, great service, but no draft beer. Dishes are beautifully plated and tasty (reflected in the price). Ironically, the name of this establishment is oyster bar yet their baked oysters are small and dry, nothing near other places with high quality oyster dishes. Scrimp cocktail is not a cocktail, it's 5 shrimps on ice with a tiny dish of red sauce ($19 - beware we got gastroenteritis from this dish).

Yelp
First time coming here tonight, and I can honestly say that I'm pretty impressed. Great customer service. Great wine selection. Great meat. Great seafood. Great food period. I will definitely be coming back here, and highly recommend to anyone looking for a good seafood/steak place in north SA.

Yelp
Excellent food. Great friendly service. Best Key Lime pie I've ever had. Excellent fresh oysters. One of my favorite restaurants.

Yelp
Silo Terrace Oyster Bar is fantastic upscale dining in San Antonio, TX. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable they offered suggestions and pairings to go with the dish. They had a seasonal fish from Hawaii it was phenomenal. The food from the appetizers, main dish, and dessert was great. The atmosphere was another positive of this place. It was top notch if you are looking for a great white table cloth spot, a great spot for a date or to go out for a nice meal. I highly recommend getting the oysters, creamsicle cheesecake, and coconut crème pie.

Yelp
While visiting my little brother and his family he really wanted to take us here. Wow! The seafood tower, crab cake, tomato bisque and the fish n chips. Oh and the oysters Rockefeller! Who can choose a favorite but ill try. First, the bisque is the best I've had from a restaurant. The raw oysters from the tower and the Rockefeller's were divine. Unfortunately, my brother and son were not sharing the crab cake or fish n chips. I think that there says it all!

Yelp
Oh Silos, where art thou? Silos has succumbed to COVID apathy. I loved this restaurant and have previously given it great reviews but it needs an injection of class and care. Dinner last night with friends. They have removed their tablecloths and given us the look of a HS cafeteria with noise to boot. At 7:30p, we couldn't carry on a conversation over the noise. New waiters (obviously) gathered together near the register chatting away. Better care for customers is in order. Our two dozen oyster starter was OK, but definitely not presented as before. Main entrees were good, but nothing special. Coffee took forever and we were done with coffee before we saw our desert order. I'll wait to return until Silos brings back that classy, well-run restaurant I loved.

Yelp
I don't like the patio area and inside is ok... maybe you will... I didn't care for this spot to stuffy inside... meh
