We came here for a winery tour and had a good time. They took us through the vineyard, the storage room for the barrels (which they have to keep relatively cool to preserve the wines), the library, and the area where the wine is made in the big containers. Tour: The tour through the facilities was good as the building architecture is aesthetically pleasing. They also were generous in pouring the couple of wines they gave us to taste on our tour. My only suggestion to have a more enhanced experience is to have more personable guides. They were knowledgeable in their information about the winery which was wonderful! I always say that the guide makes or breaks the experience as they are the bridge to whether or not one will want to purchase bottles of wine - whether or not the wine is superb quality. Price: $65 per person for the tour. You also get complimentary wine glasses with this and they do pour more generously than other wineries do on their tours. Parking: Parking is available close to the facility.

Google
10/10 experience! If you visit Healdsburg, you HAVE to come here and do the tour with Alan. He is so knowledgeable, smart, and has a wonderful personality. Highlight of our trip was learning from him and tasting these wines.

Google
Oh my, how do you start! This is a MUST stop while you are out in wine country. A very modern complex which is very environmental right! The wine tasting are excellent, the people know their wines and do a great job explaining them. Here is a hint, make sure you get into the Library at Silver Oak! It is amazing n a lot of fun to look at!

Google
The Napa vs Alexander Valley tasting was fun and the location is beautiful. The tasting experience at the winery doesn't feel unique like many of the other wineries we visited such as Paul Hobbs, Immortal, and Hamel. We could have done this tasting at home. Pricing at home is about the same/slightly better too. It's nice, but you can skip this one.

Google
This was by far the largest winery and vineyard I visited on my Napa Valley/Alexander Valley excursion. The architecture in both the sampling center and actual winery was very impressive. The view of the vineyard as the sun came up was nothing short of breathtaking! The staff was helpful and kind too. The drive up from Napa Valley was beautiful and a definite plus to the trip up! I’d definitely recommend a tour of this giant winery on your next visit to Alexander Valley if you’re in the area!

Google
Great experience. Unbelievable setting and facilities. Great wines and an incredibly friendly and gracious staff. We did the vertical tasting 2017 down to 2012. Fantastic place to visit.

Google
Beautiful tasting room and barrel room. LEED is cool - blue jeans used for insulation and a lot of upcycled elements in the build. Great wines and hospitality

Yelp
We had an unexpected stop at Silver Oak in Healdsburg. I am so glad we were able to come here. That's one of the advantages of coming during the off season... You miss the crowds. We loved the sleak and clean look of this modern style tasting room. The shop is set up so well to be big and airy with the bold Silver Oak look of silver and black. It was a nice-comfortable place to relax and taste the amazing wines at Silver Oak. Everyone there is just so nice. after the first pour they took us into the library. That was quite an experience especially with that large block right in the center of the room. The use of the back and sliver tops to spell out Silver Oak was brilliant. Silver Oak will always hold a special spot in my heart as it was one of the first higher end wines of Napa that we drank on a regular basis. I fell in love with the wine the moment it touched my lips. So rich and flavorful with an amazing start and finish. As always, I look forward back to Napa (will be sooner than later) to return to the tasting room in the Valley. KUDOs to the team at Silver Oak - Healdsburg

Yelp
Very modern tasting room with minimalist and sleek look. The winery is spacious and you can room around freely. The wine tasting is at $30 per person which makes it really accessible. Service was very personable. The staff pour generous portion and of course the wine was delicious. I loved the modern design and architecture as well.

Yelp
This winery is just stunning. From the moment you drive up you are drawn to the beautiful architecture and reflecting pools. The wine is absolutely delicious and each pour was very generous. Everyone is very attentive but not obtrusive. You are free to wonder amongst the vines and check out their herb and vegetable garden. So relaxing and not to be missed.

Yelp
Impromptu stop at Silver Oak in Healdsburg. Warmly greeted by Christina even though we didn't have a reservation. Enjoyed the bar counter tasting of their Alexander Valley and Napa Valley cabs. Appreciated we could experience this beautiful venue without an advance reservation. Ample parking. We've visited the Napa location several times and participated in the food and wine pairing experiences--highly recommend. We look forward to trying the food pairing experience in the future. Artwork was memorable. On the way back to our car we toured their bountiful garden. Salute! (Re the artwork. At a distance it perhaps looks like long brush strokes, when you're a few feet away the incredible detail emerges as does the realization the amount of hours it took to create this magnificent painting.)

Yelp
Great hospitality, wines were excellent, property was beautiful. My favorite thing was that they let you roam around the property on your own. There was also a good balance of checking in on us and letting us enjoy the wine on our own. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Worth the haul. The vineyard is beautiful and the tasting room is modern and airy. The definition of California Vibes. If you're a Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon fan, this is the place to go. We were able to taste both Alexander and Napa Valley cabs here and it was nice to taste side by side. They offer bread sticks with the tasting but if you want additional snacks they have prepackaged charcuterie/cheese options and other light fare. We sat outside on the patio where we could take in the vineyard and the fresh air. Even though it was a warm outside, sitting on the patio there was plenty of breezeway and regardless of time of day you'll be in the shade. A big plus for us, since it was a long drive, they have EV/Tesla chargers which was such a relief and a great add. There are not Silver Oak membership options but they have other partnering vineyards you can join with some Silver Oak perks. We went home with a magnum of their Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon so I'd say it was a success.

Yelp
Came here yesterday for a girls trip/reunion and were in awe of the stunning views and gorgeous tasting room. Sat outside at a picnic table overlooking the vineyard. Wine was incredible with incredible views. Trisha was attentive and friendly with great knowledge of the wine and the vineyard. Will definitely be back to enjoy again!

Yelp
Silver Oak winery has beautiful views, and very pleasant staff. Twomey is where the Pinot noir variety is made and Silver Oak is where they focus on Cabernet Sauvignons. 2019 Russian River Valley Pinot noir 4/5 2019 Anderson Valley Pinot noir 5/5 2017 Silver Oak Alexander vvalley Cabernet Sauvignon 3/5 2017 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 4/5 2012 Silver Oak Alexander valley Cabernet Sauvignon 5/5 Nice shop for clothes and wine assorted gifts including corks, charcuterie boards, silverware and some locally made jewelry. Personalized tasting sheets shows how they focus on your experience and are happy to answer any questions you have. This is the place to come if you like big bold reds.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite wineries in the Napa/Sonoma/Healdsburg area. Overall, this is a beautiful winery with stunning scenery, a very nice modern building, and fantastic, fresh food paired with carefully selected wines. I always recommend this specific location (I've never been to their other location in Napa) whenever friends ask for Napa recommendations. My boyfriend and I came here for a food and wine pairing around 11 am on a Saturday and were pleased to discover that because we chose an early slot, we got the large private room with an incredible view all to ourselves. The experience started with a tour of the gardens behind the winery, where we walked through rows of plants and flowers. We had a tour guide who introduced key plants to us and encouraged us to pick certain plants to try, such as raw stevia and fresh fennel. Like with many wineries in the region, they make their food with almost all ingredients from their own garden and anything they don't grow themselves, they source locally from places nearby in the same valley. We got one bite-sized course while outside after finishing up our tour. We went back inside to continue with our remaining courses, which composed of a wonderful and fresh pasta dish, an absolutely fantastic main course (which I believe was duck though I can't quite remember and I'm sure it changes), and a cheese course that was "dessert", which my boyfriend absolutely loved. He called it the best cheese course he's ever had. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and carefully explained to us by the chefs who came out to serve us themselves. The wine pairings were also explained very thoroughly with each course. Even though I discovered that I'm not the biggest fan of Alexander Valley wine (I prefer Russian River wine), the whole experience and pairing experience was still so enjoyable that I didn't mind. I also only discovered this wine preference after they were nice enough to pour us extra glasses of Russian River to compare with the Alexander Valley. Most importantly, everyone would leave after serving us the course so that we could enjoy the gorgeous view and the breeze (we asked them to open the doors to the outside patio) while eating. It was the perfect balance of relaxing eating time and engaging conversation with the chefs as they brought out each plate. A few other things to note: we got two wine glasses as souvenirs from our visit in a cloth tote bag, which was a nice surprise. In addition if you plan to come here, you NEED to either have a driver or drive yourself. Ubers are extremely hard to come by in this area and while Silver Oak has some taxi services they frequently recommend to guests, it's not always the case that there will be an available driver to pick you up immediately.

Yelp
Came to this Silver Oak location for their Alexander Valley release day and had the best time. Service, Food, Wine, and Ambiance were all first class! Five stars!

Yelp
I came up to Napa area for a winter visit and to get some wine tasting in on the off season. Having had silver oak a few times in the past I knew this was one of the places I wanted to stop and try. We got the tasting that compared the different years / vineyards. The wine was great. The service was also great - we just got a tasting but got quite a good explanation of the different rooms and wine because it was so slow. We also got to try some of the Timeless and picked up a bottle (awesome). The building and setting of the venue is top notch. Make sure you check out the library room!

Yelp
Did the tour and tasting.. Beautiful location, very informative and lots of pours.. My bf got pretty drunk highly recommend the experience. The cabs, especially the 2012 we tried are lovely!

Yelp
I am a huge fan of Silver Oak wine so it was such a treat to visit this beautiful winery. It was the highlight of our trip, and I can't recommend it enough. I wasn't so sure about it as it felt too modern from the photos but it was absolutely perfect - the ambiance is truly second to none! Such a fabulous venue, breathtaking grounds and it was such a pleasure meeting everyone working there that day. Super friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating! The wine worth the visit on its own but they also get all the bonus points for literally everything else. Can't name one thing that could be improved in the future as it was PERFECT! So peaceful and totally zen moment when you are there. We truly had the best time ever and can't wait to go back to do their wine and food pairing!

Yelp
Wonderful!! The people were very knowledgeable about the wine and the service was great!!

Yelp
I like some big cabs, and Silver Oak has some. The tasting room is clean and classy with seating for large or small parties or standing room at the bar. I had the pleasure of being waited on by Troy and Sam. Both great, friendly guys and knowledgeable about their wines and some of the other wines in the region. My wife and I tasted and toured the facility. We also tasted in their circular wine room, which was a really neat place. Silver Oak has always been one of the higher end Cabernet wineries in Sonoma County and their reputation is good. I walked out with a case each of the Napa release and the Alexander Valley release. Pop the cork and decanter or let it breathe. I also plan to lay some down for the next several years.

Yelp
Came here on Friday around 2pm with reservations. Upon entering, this tasting room is so modern and pretty! From the serene water "river" or "trench" to the modern architecture, it was very relaxing! The tasting flight consisted of a white wine from Twomey and 3 silver oak Cabernet Sauvignon (2 from Alexander Valley, 1 from Napa Valley). The white wine was poured upon check-in and we were brought to our tasting table with the reds poured as well as some water and breadsticks. The back area has a little garden with squash and all sorts of peppers. It was a great experience and the service was wonderful as well!

Yelp
We have enjoyed silver oak wine for quite some time, and had been to one of their tasting rooms about 10 years ago. We went to the new tasting room that they built outside of Healdsburg. To start off with, it is an amazing building that has earned a Leed platinum certification. That means that it is extraordinarily environmentally friendly. The tasting room is located in the middle of extensive vineyards, and the view of the surrounding hills is fantastic. We had a wonderful tasting experience with our hostess, who was very knowledgeable and friendly. We tasted three wines, and then the hostess brought out a fourth. We ended up buying the one that she brought out as it fit what our tastes were, as well as a price range. Make no mistake, this is a very expensive winery, but if you were going to treat yourself to a delicious California Cabernet, save up a few bucks and stop by!

Yelp
A friend mine and I visited a while back, and we're hosted by a very nice gentleman named Sam. We loved the side-by-side Cabernet comparison. We were allowed to try older, vintages, and current vintages. I think there was a six year difference if I recall correctly. And then we were poured Alexander Valley, Cabernet, and Napa Cabernet. A friend of mine, who thinks she's allergic to wine had no problem whatsoever here, so whatever she is sensitive to in cheap reds, was no problem here. We enjoyed the tasting room, the views, the extraordinary building, and would love to come back for a food and wine pairing. This place hosts incredible parties and you can tell the people who work here are well taken care of as it shows in their pleasant demeanor and love of the wine. I've known many people to work for Silver Oak over the years and never heard anything but wonderful things. I'm always happy to support a business that treats their employees well, especially if they make great wine.

Yelp
As the Napa Valley Chauffeur, quite familiar with the Napa Silver Oak ... I've driven by this one many times ...Today was actually the first day I got to explore with my clients . From the start Laurie our hostess ( forgive spelling ) , was very welcoming, and had great energy ... always the first thing I look for with educators, and other hosts and hostesses ... My clients educator , Carleigh , really stood out !!! a beautiful young lady again with great energy, knowledgeable, accommodating and approachable ! The property in Alexander Valley is very special, unique and intimate ... when you have staff such as these that are well-versed in the history and you can compare the wines , it really creates an intimate experience !!! These clients are return clients over many years and the family had gone through some medical issues and it wasn't a certainty that they would be able to be back so it was very important to me that every experience that they have be like the one we had at Silver Oak today !!! Well done staff !!!

Yelp
I went with my fiancé for my birthday dinner during the Single Thread at Silveroak experience. It was the most beautiful setting with over the top hospitality and food. I loved every minute of it. The staff were so knowledgeable, and even let us take a tour of the cellar and hold the oldest bottle of wine they have. I would be back here for the beautiful views and relaxing ambiance.

Yelp
George A. was amazing! We had a great time and do appreciate them following all COVID-19 regulations. The wine was a great selections and very earthy! The twome was my favorite, one of their sister labels! Definitely do a tasting here on their stunning property! Thank you George! We will be back soon!

Yelp
Five stars all the way. These folks are just incredibly nice. It's everything great about Sonoma wineries.
google avatar

Michaela R.

Yelp
This winery has the most stunning modern architecture. The views are incredible, the staff is awesome, and we thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour with food and wine pairing. The reason for the 3 stars is the overall experience. It feels like a factory where the experience is scripted and on a schedule. Pours are precisely measured. The wine monologue is given. You're in. You're out. The seating arrangements were also unique. Lots of communal seating for 8 or more people. If you're a couple looking to enjoy the wine and time together, this is not the place. I should note I live in San Francisco and drive up to wine country once or twice a month. I want to be able to form a relationship with the winery. I just don't see that happening here.
google avatar

Mari W.

Yelp
Beautiful and very hospitable. The wine was excellent and the grounds are gorgeous. A great spot to stop if you're looking for a great tasting experience.

Kane M.

Yelp
Silver oak was phenomenal. The wine was amazing and the service from Sam was awesome. He was so nice and whenever we needed anything he was immediately there. He took us through the wine library and was extraordinarily funny and charismatic. This would easily be a five star review, but as we were checking out and buying tons of wine we asked for one last pour as we were checking out and the manager specifically said that there was no chance we were allowed to have anymore. We almost considered canceling our order, but it would effect Sam negatively and we didn't want that because of the hospitality that he showed us.
google avatar

Frances C.

Yelp
Very pretty winery with a trendy vibes, it had a literary cellars that shaped like a barrel. It costs $20 for four tastings with a souvenir glass. Good deal, silver oak is smooth with a full body, excellent Cabernet. The winery itself is very pretty with great outdoor seatings overlooking the winery. Staff were very friendly and patience in explaining each pour and gave us a tour to their liberty cellar. Very cool and educational. Definitely will return

Average Guy R.

Yelp
Very nice place. Current design and facilities. Wonderful Tasting Room. Took tour. Very informative. Tour Guide was excellent and cheerful. Enjoyed it.
google avatar

Krystal A.

Yelp
I've been here about three times. This is a pretty incredible winery. It's self-sustaining, they recycle more than they use (if that makes sense), use solar, and create wines that can age two-three times longer than other winemakers. You can buy a Napa Valley Cab from 2007 for $160 and age it for 20-30 years rather than the usual 10-15. The building is made up of recycle materials even down to the insulation that is comprised of old and no longer used denim and jeans. The service is always really great, informative, helpful, and full of info about the winery and the process of the vineyards. PROS: - tastings are usually delicious - the property and tasting room is gorgeous - there's a wine storage room with a big stone in it that's really pretty and holds enormous bottles of wine that I think are over $6,000 - they have a little area with books, Knick knacks, and cute stuff for purchase - their breadstick crackers are super delicious. Crunchy, some salt, Long, and help to hit the spot you need while tasting - there's a beautiful outdoor area with a little infinity pool and a view of the vineyard. - architecturally this place is just beautiful from the moment you drive into the property, walk in along a water feature, the pretty white tower, the amazing pivoting doors, and everything else about this place. CONS: - this place can be on the pricier side when you want to purchase wine - they don't comp your tasting if you buy bottles from them. Even if you spend $175 on a bottle they won't comp the tasting. - the lady accidentally charged my friend for my wine bottle, then had to cancel the payment, it showed on her credit card anyway, and now we have to call and try to talk to someone to get that taken care of. Ugh! *** I really like this place but I usually like to leave a winery with a really nice bottle with my tasting waives, especially since I spent $175 on a bottle. Because they don't do that I won't be back again unless they change that policy.
google avatar

Alexandra Y.

Yelp
Literally... the worst. So unfortunate as the estate is gorgeous but I would recommend trying the other local wineries unless you seek: Staff with no personality Chip on their shoulders Sterile atmosphere Pricey as hell You can't drink any bottles you but on property either

Jane M.

Yelp
Just left and for the second time the same gal that was there treated us horribly! 2021and 2023! Never going back and we drink their wine daily. Basically told us we were inexperienced wine drinkers because we preferred the 2018 over the 2012. We had just left Spring Mountain and spent thousands on library wines. I'm a CIA grad and I've been in the luxury hotel world for years. I'm offended that someone would say that!!!! Hugely disappointed, Silver Oak!! You just lost a huge sale!
google avatar

Kerry S.

Yelp
Silver Oak's Healdsburg winery is unusually modern and beautifully highlights the surrounding vinyards and interior wines. Carleigh handled our tasting as wine club members. We decided to purchase some extra bottles of the current Alexander Valley offering as well as the new Timeless label, at her excellent recommendation. A great visit!
google avatar

Madeleine D.

Yelp
Silver Oak Cellars was one of those experiences that will remain a favorite memory forever. Immediately we were greeted by about 4 friendly faces. We were helped by Troy and spent a good amount of our time at the winery with him learning about the history of Silver Oak. This beautiful facility was opened in 2018 and has remained a must-see in Alexander Valley. If you have time, make a stop here and buy a bottle while you're at it to sit on their patio overlooking their beautiful vines.

Mark L.

Yelp
The arrogance of the staff is off the chart. I don't care who you think you are, acting like you are doing people a favor to sell them wine at a winery. Fuck you. $25 for a glass of wine, and another $10 to drink it there. $10 PER PERSON to drink their wine on their patio. So many great places in the area.. skip this one.
google avatar

Veronica S.

Yelp
Stunning new addition to Healdsburg! Silver Oak has recently opened a new facility and tasting room as of April 2018. Similarly to Oakville, the design of the building offers a minimalist approach to showcase the acres and acres of beautiful vineyards. They accept walk ins where you can participate in $20 tastings (for 3 tastings) at the bar, or you can also participate in a tour + taste for $30, seated tasting for $40, or private tour/tasting for $50 per person. The facility is beautiful and spacious- the layout is well done and has an open concept feel to it. The bar opens up to an outdoor patio area with endless views of vines. Look forward to returning soon!

Robert H.

Yelp
What an Amazing experience we had thanks to George. We got a tour of the beautiful Silver Oak winery.
google avatar

Shana W.

Yelp
I have to say for being such a well known winery with highly rated wines that speak for themselves the staff at the Alexander Valley location are amazing! We did the vertical cab tasting and had an absolute blast! The man who helped us was very friendly, extremely knowledgeable and took great care of us! We had done a standard tarting last time we were in the area and thoroughly enjoyed it but the vertical tasting was a top notch experience all the way around! Definitely a must try! The property is gorgeous and the views just add to the relaxation and enjoyment!
google avatar

Christine J.

Yelp
Don't let the dark wood buildings scare you away from the beautiful architecture that awaits. The water features reflect the beauty that surrounds the property, as does the views from every perfectly placed window. The seating indoors is modern yet cozy, as it also is on the outside patio. Aftering tasting the Cabernet Sauvignon it was difficult to find any other Cabs in the surrounding Sonoma area, that compared in, rich body, strong dark fruit, and long tannins.
google avatar

S W.

Yelp
We dropped in here for a tasting and we had a perfect afternoon. We were treated with a nice tasting of Alexander Valley wines along with Twomey Cellars vintage. Our host was a joy to talk through the tasting, and he gave us some room to sip and talk. Any Sunny afternoon would work perfectly here.
google avatar

Chris R.

Yelp
Amazing place Great service Very good wine, love the library tasting. Will go there again!
google avatar

Haley A.

Yelp
Sadly, I must echo many other patrons' less than flattering experiences with the Silver Oak staff, rude communication, and negligent service. It is shameful how they feel they can treat people the way they treated my party of ten girlfriends tasting with a reservation. We were ignored while awaiting my first pour, and second took even longer. Perhaps their tasting room was an after thought. I will not be returning to this sub-par environment. I suggest any one seeking delicious wine and warm hospitality go anywhere else, and stay far away from here.
google avatar

Barbara F.

Yelp
Thank you, George, for a great experience. Totally enjoyed the A-15 Cabernet. Who knew! I always said I didn't like Cabs but I am a convert for this one. Conversation was delightful and we had a awesome time visiting the tasting room.
google avatar

Mindy M.

Yelp
Wow! What an incredible experience! We came here with a group of six friends and did a tour. The wine was absolutely phenomenal. Our favorite was the 2014 Alexander Valley Cab. It was perfection. We also really liked the 2007. So incredibly smooth. The story behind the winery is so interesting. Is was great to get a behind the scenes tour of the facilities and how it was built. The service was amazing and so over the top. Everyone was so sweet and accommodating. We had two kids with us as well and they made sure they were taken are of. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Bev S.

Yelp
A rip off! 20$ for wine tasting even if you buy a bottle of wine! They do not inform you that until you buy the wine. They legally need to state that on their advertising Rude customer service Never have I experienced this.
google avatar

Callie L.

Yelp
Silver Oaks was amazing! Our friends recently visited Napa and told us that we needed to go there. I saw that Silver Oaks had a tasting room in Alexander Valley so we decided to stop in. Wine is very good. Full disclosure they only do tastings of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Ward S.

Yelp
Don't waste your time here. Yes, they are the old guard but for the price of tasting look for better, smaller distribution brands. O'Shaughnessy on Howell Mt, Mark Herold in Napa, Hertelendy in soda canyon. Better experience, better wine
google avatar

Corine M.

Yelp
My husband and I are members of twomey their sister winery and were very excited to visit their new building. We have been to the Napa location many times but this new Alexander Valley location is more our style with the modern architecture. I forget the name of the the architect (please forgive me) we found out on our tour this was his first winery and we feel he hit it out of the park! First off this building is sleek, clean and timeless along with being LEED building design. When you drive up you can not miss all the solar panels. They also recycle their water irrigation plus many more inspiring processes. Not only did we feel that the new tasting room and amenities were exceptional but so are their cabs. They encompass full body flavor with such an intensity they can be drank alone or along with food. We walked out with 4 bottles and feel they will be exceptional addition to our thanksgiving get together. We highly recommend this vineyard due to the tour and the tasting.
google avatar

Amanda R.

Yelp
I loved this place because it is so eco-friendly. We took a tour of the property, which included tastings. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, and although they only make one variety of wine, we tasted a lot of wine. Some of my favorite things were an explanation of how the winery is eco-friendly, seeing oak barrels from a small town in Missouri used to make fantastic wines, and the wine library.
google avatar

Jo Marie U.

Yelp
Beautiful winery! Perfectly manicured and lovely walkway heading to the tasting room! Excellent wine and One of a kinD Wine Library!! Just WOWW! So blown away and so happy we stopped by!!
