First time here, sat down at the counter. The service was excellent. As soon as we sat down the food came immediately. We ate the 100% real crab California roll and the spicy salmon roll and the dumpling miso soup. The food was incredible. My little brother advises for little kids to avoid the wasabi and ginger. They held the vanilla ice cream with sprinkles until after we ate our sushi. It was still cold (rock solid) but it was fantastic. The sprinkles were perfect.

Silver Rice has totally won me over. Tucked away in Lefferts Gardens, this little takeout-only spot doesn’t try to impress with flashy decor or over-the-top service—it just quietly delivers some of the freshest, most satisfying Japanese-inspired food around. The vibe is no-frills, the service is efficient (they’ve got to keep up with a nonstop stream of delivery orders), but the food? Pure gold. I started with the Harvest Bowl, which they describe as “a bountiful harvest of all your favorite ingredients,” and that’s exactly what it felt like. Unagi, Spicy Tuna, Salmon, Ikura, Crab, Avocado, Tamago, Red Pickles—it was like a greatest hits lineup, and every single bite was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. It’s the kind of bowl that makes You pause and appreciate how good food can be when it’s done right. Then I tried the Piri Camote Roll—a vegetarian roll that’s absolutely packed with flavor. The sweet potato pomme purée, spicy mayo, crunchy red pickles, avocado, and cucumber all work in perfect harmony. It’s hearty, comforting, and somehow still feels fresh and light. Super delicious. I also got the Exclusive Veggie Combo, which includes the Sunshine Slaw Roll and the Vegan Eel Roll. That Vegan Eel Roll is a standout—fried tofu with eel sauce and sliced cucumber? Brilliant. It’s rich and savory, and I genuinely didn’t miss the fish. Even the Shrimp Dumpling Miso Soup impressed me. It’s a classic done right—warm, savory, and super comforting with tender little dumplings that soak up all that miso goodness. Next time I go, I’m definitely getting one of their Silver Rice Cups (SRCs). They look like beautiful little mini chirashi bowls—layered with rice, vibrant toppings, and just packed with flavor. And I’ve already got my eye on their two mackerel dishes, which look seriously tempting: • The Negi Saba Roll, with vinegared mackerel, scallions, and sesame, looks like a perfect balance of rich and fresh. • The Saba Bowl, which adds ginger paste to that mix, seems like the kind of meal that hits all the right notes—savory, clean, and super satisfying. Silver Rice may fly under the radar, but it’s got soul. If You love fresh, creative Japanese food made with care and attention to detail, this spot is a must. I’m already planning my next order.

This charming little cafe offers delicious Asian fare, perfect for takeout. While seating is limited, the quality of the food makes up for it. The rolls were flavorful and the drink was refreshing. However, the dipping sauce portions were a bit on the small side, making it difficult to thoroughly coat the rolls. Additionally, a little more wasabi and ginger would have been appreciated. Overall, a delightful option for a quick and tasty Asian food fix, but consider requesting extra sauce and condiments if you prefer a more generous dip.

wow. Okay new sushi place I love. The food was fantastic. It felt small when the order arrived from delivery, which was really quick on Caviar/DoorDash, $36 for 3 rolls b4 taxes & fees, but really it was a significant amount of food just three rolls quite filling and incredibly tasty. I ate half before I thought to take a picture because really it was incredibly delicious. Sept 1: ordered again tonight and very disappointed with the Oyako roll. Almost no salmon roe. See attached image from seamless menu & compare it to what I just got.

I always come here with my sisters and the food is always on point and never disappoints! Their fish is also always fresh ❤ I always order the spicy salmon cup with salmon rolls. Occasionally I'll order the mighty seafood! It's very refreshing and filling as well! :)

Food is really good, delicious and fresh. This place great for go to meal or for quick fresh and quality bite. Great atmosphere, clean , nice staff. Definitely will be back here

Got the spicy tuna roll and oyako roll (ikura and salmon) and it was very delicious and affordable! They are a bit small so you can probably eat two rolls for a meal under $20.

Lots of vegetarian options, extremely quick service and very warm staff. The food is 10/10!!!!!

Silver Rice has become out go-to for solid affordable no-frills sushi. As others mentionedm the PLG location is takeout only but the location still has a nice little vibe to it. We always enjoy the spicy tuna and salmon Silver Rice Cups - very filling for only $7! Can feel a little heavy on the rice so I sometimes opt for the roll instead. I think they must use chili oil in the spicy tuna because it packs a pretty good heat to it! My mouth was feeling it a bit after a piece or two. Last night I tried their Piri Campote veggie roll and... WOW. May be the best veggie roll I've tried. So so fresh and flavorful. It comes with sweet potato, some delicious pickles veggies, and spicy mayo on top. Just really tasty. I'd recommend even if you don't usually try veggie sushi. Oh, and I always go for the flax rice! Super good! I'm pretty sure it's just regular sushi rice with crushed flax seed in it. It gives it a really nice flavor so I'd definitely recommend trying it!

Silver Rice is a great choice for vegetarian sushi. The ingredients were fresh, and the sauces were tasty without being salty. There is no ambiance, as the PLG location is pickup and delivery only. My order was done correctly and quickly, with extra chopsticks! I will definitely make this my go-to sushi spot.

It's a struggle to find gluten free sushi in NYC but silver rice made it easy. The food was good, and packaged well. I had a pickup order and I'd say it was pretty seamless (pun intended).

I love getting the spicy salmon cup!!!! I also love that they have flaxseed in their rice which just adds great benefits into your meal, but it's also savory. I'm definitely due for a roll and bowl pretty soon.

Me and my lady order from Silver Rice at least once a week. They invented the spicy salmon cup and no-one can tell me different. Order the miso soup, extra dumplings - thank me later. My lady recommends a order of edamame to add to you cup of choice. Maybe I should call her my Eda-mama . Pro tip: order the rice booster.

Found them on Yelp, first time getting food here. The harvest bowl was pretty good, in my opinion it was a reasonable amount of food for the price. Good variety in it and the crab meat is actually crab not imitation. Has eel and spicy tuna too, plus salmon and avocado.

Love their bowls and cups. Just the right amount of rice. The shrimp shumai soup I do recommend adding extra shumai

Lots of rice, very little fish or anything of substance. You might wanna get tbat pepperoni slice (they are consistently low portioned) but if you like a lot of rice, go for it

It's honestly embarrassing how often my partner and I order from Silver Rice, but that's how good it is! The Silver Rice Cups are the *perfect* portion and are super affordable- less than $7! Dinner for two under $15?? Sign me up!! Plus, the delivery is insanely fast (often 10-20 minutes). The matcha ice cream and miso soup are delicious, too. The spicy salmon SRC is our absolutely favorite item on the menu, though!

Om sushi Gods!!! I ordered the shrimp dumpling miso soup and spicy salmon rice cup. Although my rice cup tipped over and the top came off during delivery. This sushi is fresh and super tasty. The soup did not disappoint either. I mean super freakin yummy!! One day I will learn to take pics before scarfing my food down lol.

Haven't had sushi for awhile due to pandemic and decided to get it delivered because I couldn't wait anymore! Found this hidden gem place upon searching nearby restaurant. I decided to get the harvest bowl ($26) with shrimp dumpling miso soup ($3.75). The packaging was amazing and the delivery was very quick. The sushi was very fresh as well! The only downside was that the rice to sushi portion was not quite fair considering the amount I paid. Anyways, it was a good treat for me and recommend checkin this place out to anyone who craves sushi !:)

EXECLLENT ! I visited this location after being a huge fan of the park place location. This place is the real deal and they are very careful to ensure safe food handling. I highly recommend ordering anything! You can not go wrong. The shallot roll is so unique and packed with flavor ! BEST SUSHI IN BROOKLYN!! Worth every penny!

My partner and I ordered the Salmon Ikura bowl and Harvest Bowl. Quality was alright. However, I was disappointed for the portion size. I understand that certain Chirashi bowls can cost well over $20, but we received two small cups as our "bowl". It was really depressing to look at and we felt the meal was not worth the price. In terms of flavor, they have very simple combinations. Honestly, I wasn't too crazy about their sushi rice.

Silver Rice is a great option to get a quick & healthy bite in Lefferts. The staff is super friendly and quick in fulfilling orders. They were also extremely accommodating in adjusting our pick-up time to march our arrival as the app only allowed asap ordering. The food was fresh, and tasted delicious. The idea of serving the rice cups in disposable coffee cups is very neat. The spicy tuna was on the very spicy side for my taste buds so be aware! I particularly loved the options of getting some sake for take out with our dinner.

So I know people complain about the price of silver rices sushi and I get it. The portions of some of their offerings are small. However I dont go there for the sushi rolls. The star are the silver rice cups. Gawwwwd they are so good and so cheap. For $6.50 you'll get a coffee cup filled with rice or flaxseed a healthy portion of fish (i get the spicy tuna) avocado some spicy mayo. I cant emphasize how good it is. The have additions like tempura crunch but at $1 each their a bit overpriced. They make their own soy sauce. Its knock your socks off good. Throw some of that in your sushi cup with some ginger and you are good to go.

I love grabbing sushi cups from this place!!! The service is quick, the design is cute, and the prices are good but most importantly...I am obsessed with their sushi cups!! Although I usually stick with the spicy salmon one, the seasonal ones are also cool to try. Bring back the mango spicy salmon!

This is a hard review to write. I think I've never been so skeptical of a sushi spot. They have like 8 maki rolls available, some bowls, a few soups - maybe 1/8 of what I typically see on a sushi restaurants menu. With the limited options I didn't want to order from here but my girlfriend insisted! Silver Rice totally blindsided me with some of the freshest tasting sushi, and delivered to me in seriously under 30 minutes. It was a perfect order, prepared with care, the sushi was fresh and the soup was piping hot and exceptionally flavorful. I had a spicy tuna roll, California roll (WITH REAL CRAB), and the shumai miso soup. Here's the catch - it's a little pricey - where most basic rolls like this are $4-6 these fall into the $7-8 range, but it's hard to even care when it's this good! You may find more options at another restaurant, but can guarantee this is some of the best quality sushi you can get for the price in crown heights. Excited to order this all again sometime soon!

Delicious, fresh sushi. I've been several times now and they remain consistent. Go tos are the avo cucumber roll and the crunchy roll (vegetarian). I've yet to try a cup, which I hear is all the rave, but will soon. The ginger and wasabi are fresh which is equally important and staff are kind.

Pretty solid quick sushi joint. It was a bit pricey, but for sushi, I guess on par! I enjoyed the interior design of this place. Very tiny (not good for large groups) but grab sushi and head to Prospect Park! My spicy tuna was AMAZING - would recommend anything with that in it! The brown rice option on the rolls was interesting... will have to try next time!

Delicious and fresh meals without the sacrifice of time. Organic miso soup and spicy salmon rice cup for under $10 and ready in less than 3 minutes...and it hit the spot. Mmmm mmm good!

My go to sushi place here in PLG. I ordered from them at least once a week and they have never let me down. Food is fresh and delicious. Highly recommend it!

So this place has a fast casual kind of vibe. The selection is strong. With the proximity to the park you can maybe grab something and take it into the park to enjoy. There is seating inside but it's limited. The food was fresh and tasty. However, it felt, for a price that's comparable to other chirashi dishes in similar sushi restaurants, to be a lesser quantity of fish. That's not a great feeling. If you look at the arrangement most items were placed fairly superficially on the top, barely covering the rice. That being said, it was delicious and I finished the entire bowl. The rice is entirely gluten-free, if that's your thing. Apparently some lesser places will use some kind of wheat or wheat starch. I don't really know but Silver Rice is careful about this. If you're in the neighborhood it's worth checking out.

I'm picky with sushi and I think this is THE BEST casual sushi place in NYC. I'm cool with non authentic sushi and Japanese food, but I don't like sushi with spicy sauce (= mayonnaise), so I usually get simpler stuff like premium salmon cup, ikura cup, yellowtail scallion rolls, California rolls and so on. I also like their udon miso soup (I love their choice of udon, good job!) and shumai miso soup. Seaweed salad is good too. And I love the deserts and shakes too. Staff working there is friendly. Also if you go there close to closing time and if you're lucky, you'll see brown bags that contain 1 roll + cup for $10. (I'm not sure if they have that during this pandemic tho.)

Fresh prepared sushi !! Very small spot hidden. Very clean establishment. Staff is welcoming and friendly.

Love the sushi here. Dined in a couple of times before covid, and it had a nice atmosphere. Love to get takeout when we need a quick dinner or a dinner on the road. My favorite part is the late night sushi bags!!

The food is prepared nicely and always consistent. I'm always satisfied and well taken care of. Highly recommended.

The food tastes good and is high quality. I recently got a veggie rice bowl and was disappointed about the ratio of rice to vegetables. I got it to go and it was served in a to go coffee cup. I'd say 4/5 or more was rice with a tiny bit of vegetables stuffed on top. For the price we're paying I think more "stuff" should be included.

Personally i love silverrice for the past 5 years at the crown heights location. My takeout orders come from the Lefferts Gardens location. Food has been inconsistent. Spicy tuna was scorchingly hot and my two orders of California rolls have been missing the crab..

I live nearby and always pass this spot to and from my apartment. Finally caved and tried it. Now I just want everything on the menu! They are a bit pricey. The ingredients tasted good and flavorful. However one thing that stung me a bit was the little option for swapping out ingredients that I'm allergic to. Some sort of pickled pieces instead of avocados really didn't feel like a fair trade. I wish there was a half star option, it would be a high 3.5 but because of the quality of the food, the low key of the atmosphere, and potential of the other menu.... I think 4 stars.

I am extremely impressed by their great service and high quality food. Everyone here is so friendly, kind and generous. I have ordered both delivery and pickup and each have been consistent- happy and cool staff, excellent service and great food. Each time I had a minor change to my order, they were open to accommodate and so kind to do so. Delivery has been great because they bring it right to me and always with a smile. Great rice bowls. Good amount of fish and other stuff in each and you can add things like avocado or spicy tuna if you want and it is all on top of some really good rice and I'm not a huge rice fan. Had a side seaweed salad and it was fresh and tasty. We ordered and it was ready to pickup in 15 minutes. Would definitely recommend this place and we will be eating their food again.

I have ordered from here multiple times. I always have a great experience. I have tried the regular miso soup, the crab kale miso soup, and a few of the rolls and seaweed salad. One thing I love about this place is that everything I ever get is so fresh! The soups are so good and they prices are reasonable. I personally enjoy the crab kale miso. The kale is bright green with a good chunk. The only thing is the crab kale miso soup is one of the specials I think, so you have to order it there. It doesn't appear on seamless or DoorDash. The flavor is great, no need to add anything. The staff are also very friendly. It's great for a quick bite to eat!

Tiny venue. Can fit about 8 people. I walk by everyday and it's my first time in. More of a fast serve place. I ordered the Hijiki salad Hot house sake Spicy salmon roll I really wanted a ginger salad but they were out. Hijiki salad was so so. Probably wouldn't order again. They have some macrobiotic bowls I want to try... ans desserts, shakes. The sake was definitely hot, and good. Spicy salmon was good and mild to medium spiciness. Overall nice atmosphere. Mellow 80's music playing.

I'm staying with some friends in Prospect Lefferts Gardens and they told me they were going to order in from Silver Rice. I'd passed the storefront on Flatbush Avenue a few times and was intrigued by the name and well-designed interior, but being from a place with abundant Japanese food, I wasn't sure what to expect. Let's just say that me and my tastebuds were very pleasantly surprised. The food at Silver Rice is stellar. To do a sushi roll well is a rare art. Silver Rice has figured it out, both dishing out the classics (Real Crab California Roll) and creative new offerings like the Mighty Seafood (tuna, salmon, yellowtail, egg omelet , scallion, flying fish roe, tempura crunch). Bravo and yum. We also got the Hijiki salad (delish) and a salmon bowl (so fresh). Will I be back? I went back tonight!

Food was great. I'm looking forward trying all of the other dishes. I had the rice cup with tuna, pickled side and black seaweed salad. It was a lot of food for me. The rice cup is more than enough. Small wasabi, ginger and soy sauce on the side. Happiness. Finally raw fish I'm now scared to eat in the hood!

What a popular spot on a weeknight. The sushi is definitely of high quality and affordable. Not that many options but I think that's how they keep it affordable. I got the salmon roll and real crab California roll. Both were good but salmon was definitely better. Only thing I wouldn't recommend is I got the miso soup and it tasted like warm scented water. There was nothing really in it. But the place is definitely cute and yummy.

Stopped in with some friends for a quick bite. The shop is tiny, but it is cute and very clean. The menu, while small, packs a good bit of variety. We ordered a sushi roll, three rice cups and some miso soup. Everything was very reasonably priced (4 of us at for around $35). Loved the miso, which was plain, and the veggie rice cup, which was delicious and crunchy. Also the flaxseed rice is pretty killer. Would definitely recommend and plan on going back myself.

Stumbled upon this last Saturday and it was yummy! Wanted to come again for lunch but just realized during the week they're not open until 5pm. I had the sushi bowl which is really served in a cup equivalent in size to maybe a medium coffee. But it was very filling! Got the brunch special which comes with miso soup. Soup was decent. The place is small. Not a lot of seating so don't recommend for large groups. I'd definitely come again for the sushi bowl!

Small business vibes, only doing takeout due to covid atm, but the customer service is great and they're fast. Took less time than they said to complete my order and everything was fresh and delicious. I had their Miso Soup and a Green Day Bowl which were amazing! Also added some spicy tuna because how much I enjoy tofu really spends on preparation and I think it theirs was pretty good, in terms of flavor .

This is my absolute favorite place to order from in the area! The food is great and delivery is very fast! The only down side is they hardly give you any soy sauce and if you ask for more they charge for it. Also, they up charge for spicy Mayo but have left it out of my order several times in the past. But otherwise, I highly recommend Silver Rice!

I've lived in this neighborhood my whole life and I must say that this is a nice addition. The staff is friendly and the food is so good. Fresh fish, and I love the rice options. I always get flax rice. The Sushi rolls are delicious and the rice cups look small but they fill you up. I wouldn't recommend trying to stay there and eat. The place is small. Get your food to go.

Let me tell you, Silver Rice was actually extremely good. Great atmosphere. I definitely will tell all my friends to try their Crunchy Shallot Roll, it was simply remarkable. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. I'll definitely be back to try some other things.
