"For some folks, broth is the most important part of ramen. For others, it's the noodles. For a select few, perhaps it's the bamboo shoots. However, if you're prioritizing pork, Silverlake Ramen, an LA-based chain in Kirkland, is the only answer. Instead of thin, rubbery slices, the braised belly here is served in the form of long bars that practically disintegrate on each bite. As for which type of ramen to order, you're in good hands with the garlic truffle ramen, loaded with a creamy truffle oil-slicked broth and tasty cooked kale." - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo

Google
Genuinely not sure why this doesn’t have atleast a 4.5/5 rating because it’s been consistently great every single time I’ve been here. Their food is reasonably priced, always comes out quick and fresh, and is absolutely delicious. The ramen broth isn’t too salty. The portions are perfect. The chicken karaage is crispy, tender and juicy on the inside. I love this place.

This isn't just ramen; it's the best ramen ever, packed with amazing memories from our days in LA, where we practically lived at their original spot! I'm absolutely thrilled they've opened a location here in Kirkland. Whether you're a ramen newcomer curious to try the real deal, or a seasoned ramen enthusiast, this is a must-visit. Seriously, you need to stop by!

Came for an early dinner and felt like we arrived just in time before dinner crowd. We did the combo meal that they have where you can get an appetizer with the ramen bowl for $21. The appetizer size is smaller than if you had ordered from the appetizer menu but we're ok with that. We had the blaze pork extra spicy and the shoyu on fire pork extra spicy. To us, the extra spicy part is not that spicy at all but it was on a nice level. What we like about this ramen bowl is the more you dig, the more ramen and broth you'll find because of how the bowl is. It was awesome! The egg was good, we had better ramen egg elsewhere. Both appetizer came super quick btw! The pork belly in both ramen were phenomenal! Immediately melts in your mouth kind of pork belly, which was amazing! If you're interested in collecting points, they have an app for it (like a loyalty program) that is super easy to navigate. All in all, great experience! The waitresses that came were all very friendly and attentive. Will come back and definitely recommend to others whose interested in ramen!

Google
The food was amazing. The Garlic Truffle Ramen was so flavorful. The pork belly was cooked perfectly and melted like butter in your mouth. The broth had a deep, rich flavor. The gyoza were also tasty, and we liked the spicy dipping sauce. We will be back.

We went for a quick dinner before the movie. The atmosphere looks quite nice, very modern and the ramen was good. The service was really good and very fast. We finished everything in 20 mins and made the movie 🍿😁

Google
Silver Lake Ramen in Totem Lake is absolutely amazing. I've been here countless times and each visit is better than the last. The ramen is always delicious and consistently hits the spot. The service here is phenomenal, everyone is incredibly friendly and genuinely makes you feel like the most important customer they've ever had. If you're looking for great ramen and even better people, this is your spot. Highly recommend!

Google
One of the best and most customizable Ramens I’ve ever had. The cozy and clean atmosphere was inviting, especially the bar. I opted for a table this time, but I’ll definitely give the bar a try next time! While most places are like that, it took me a long time to just get the bill and pay.

Delicious ramen - springy noodles, tasty broth and pork serving. Service was friendly, professional and warm. Will definitely visit again

Yelp
went at a non busy time, so service was fairly quick! we got seated very quickly by the hostess, & in a nice place. server was a bit short with us, but it could've been due to it being end of day. it was fairly quiet for a bright shop! it was very relaxing to sit there & smell all the different varieties of food mingle in the air, & looking at all the pretty bright lights & popping mural art that was scattered around. there's a good smoky of seating & fairly spacious, so luckily it also didn't feel crowded. i got the soboro bowl, which was scrambled egg, green onion, sesame seeds, minced chicken, & red ginger on top of rice. the red ginger was way spicier than i thought it was & sadly had to remove it haha ! the chicken was oddly sweet, which made it taste surprisingly good, & thankfully wasn't fatty. the scrambled eggs were nice & fluffy & made me wish there was so much more ! the rice was very starchy & bland, hard to eat, until you added some soy sauce to sweeten it a little. it was very good overall if you're looking for an alternative to ramen ! overall, i had a nice experience here. i wish there was some more variety in appetizers (ex/ salad) & desserts (churros & ice cream) but besides that, everything was very yummy !

Yelp
My friend brought me to my first pilates class (big mistake) and we were looking for something to eat in the area! Totem lake has a bunch of new restaurants and businesses, but we decided to check out Silverlake ramen for a nice bowl of soup. Since it's right in the middle of the plaza, there's a nice parking lot with ample parking. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is bright and comfortable, and staff were very attentive. It was starting to get pretty packed inside but my friend and I were immediately seated and didn't have to wait too long for food. We both got the classic ramen, which included a creamy pork stock. The broth was rich and filling, and the noodles were well cooked as well - great for a cold day in Seattle! I do think for the price however, it is certainly on the pricier side for a bowl of ramen. In total I paid about $20 including the tip, when I feel I could get as good of a bowl or a better bowl for a better price. I'd check this spot out again, but I'm also interested in the other restaurants Totem lake has as well.

Yelp
We were at the Village in Totem Lake looking for a restaurant that would take a party of about 10 and found that this ramen restaurant would take us. The returned was clean, aesthetic, and the menu looked legit. However, the dishes we ordered ended up being just okay and edible. Maybe it was just a bad day in the kitchen.

John G.

Yelp
Had the karaage chicken bowl which comes with rice. It was tasty and prepared quickly. This was a takeout order. There is plenty of parking in the plaza.

Manushi Manish S.

Yelp
Located in Totem Lake, this cute spot has a great location with friendly staff. We tried the vegetarian ramen, impossible bun, and veggie curry bowl. The curry bowl is a sweet and spicy mix, so if you're into that flavor combo, you should try it. The impossible buns were decent, though I've had better. The ramen itself had basic flavors, but they offer a variety of add-ons, which I would recommend to enhance the dish.

Leandra S.

Yelp
Soooooo good! We love silver lake ramen and recommend to everyone! Very casual vibe and they don't serve drinks so that's the only downside in my book!

Steve S.

Yelp
We've eaten Ramen here a few times now and have never been disappointed. Always quick and fresh, service is great. We love the truffle ramen as our go to!

E D.

Yelp
Great location, delicious food and even when they're busy the food comes out fast. We have been in at off times and haven't needed reservations but the restaurant is always full.

Wei-Wei C.

Yelp
Truffle ramen is so good, will comeback to that. Curry is ok, mild spicy. Fast serving.

Sarah S.

Yelp
We came to Silverlake Ramen as a party of 3 at noon on a Saturday. We beat the lunch rush! We were admiring their artwork and interior design while we were seated. Their lighting is cool and we love the mural they have on their wall. We shared two appetizers-the creamy broccolini and the crispy chicken karaage. BOTH of these were excellent-highly recommend this as a pair. The chicken karaage came with a great aioli sauce, and the broccolini came with a delectable sesame sauce. Whatever was in that sauce was magic. I enjoyed the Blaze ramen for myself-I ordered this with the chicken, and it came with a red paste that I mixed into the ramen. This had a wonderful kick to it without it being too much. The picture I took of this ramen does not capture how good it was! I also got photos of my friend's garlic truffle ramen. Their food was clean, tasty and refreshing. I would come back here anytime!

Saemyi L.

Yelp
I liked it the last time I came here. But now it's just alright. It's missing some of the toppings most places have and I was missing that. And I prefer the thinner slices of meat rather than a huge chunk. They were quick with their services, maybe a little too attentive. We didn't need constant check ins to clear our bowls.

Susie D.

Yelp
Their ramen is good, the environment is clean and the service is good, but I prefer their fried chicken. It's really delicious.

Jody B.

Yelp
The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is due to the service, they were friendly and somewhat attentive. I ordered the Classic with Chicken combo with gyoza. The gyoza was good, needed the sauce it came with. The Ramon was horrible, with no flavor. I added soy sauce that helped a bit but smelled super fishy. It gave me horrible heart burn. Couldn't finish it. Not worth the money.

Ash G.

Yelp
First time trying silver lake ramen and I love that they had a chicken broth option. I was so impressed by their food and love the ambience (love that took a little effort to make it pop) Let's talk food!! Shoya: broth is superb! Very flavorful and the chicken was incredibly tender without being over cooked or stringy, everything in the bowl added to the flavors loved it!! Spicy chicken bun: yes yes yes! I'd like 10 more please, everything about this was on point loved it and planning on going back for more!! Also let's not mention the waitress there was so sweet and answered our questions patiently. Well done SilverLake!

Will R.

Yelp
The food was just not tasty or appetizing. The ramen bowl was not worth the price charged. The appetizer chicken was less than one star. Our service was okay, but we felt they were pushy to get paid NOW, even before we had finished our food! The restaurant had a "unfinished" look with no real theme to the location. Parking was terrible, on a weekday afternoon. We rate this at one star and we will not recommend or return to this lousy restaurant. In a world of food choices, don't waste your money here.

Daren D.

Yelp
Pretty cool. Seems like a nice chill modern cafe and spacious. Solid option in Totem Lake. A small handful of vegan options stick out. I chose to start with the veggie ramen. The gentleman server seemed 90% sure it was vegan so I just said make it so, if they change anything per my request just tell me what they did. The bowl of warmth arrives and it's just comfortable right in that spot. I'd like to potentially try those others so I might have to come back again some time.

Richard L.

Yelp
From my initial search in Apple Maps to see what was the closest one, it showed 3.5 stars. Yes, reviews are fickle and subjective (obviously), but I was too hungry to really care. I didn't read any of the views but with 3.5 stars, my expectations weren't very high. Very cool interior design, welcoming/friendly staff. I ordered a coke, pork bun and the Blaze bowl with medium spice. A little more spicy than I'm used to but man, it was SO good. The pork was AMAZING, probably the most well cooked/ well flavored pork I've ever had with ramen. I'll order less spicy next time. The clump of spinach was a perfect addition too.

Esther L.

Yelp
We came here on a Thursday for an early dinner and were seated right away. We ordered two combos, a chicken karaage bowl and some grilled gyozas. The ramen broth was nice and the pork was tender. The staff were friendly and attentive - they checked in on us throughout the meal.

Ellen C.

Yelp
I really liked this place. The ramen was so delicious as was the broth. The service was EXCELLENT. They were fast, very attentive, and I just felt cared for as a customer. I had my toddler with me who devoured a whole bowl of ramen which I had ordered to share. Sadly I only had two bites (the life of a mom). My baby also had a couple mouthfuls of white rice. I asked for this on the side as a special request and they were able to provide it. Having two kids eat here for lunch was stressful, but the staff made it very manageable. I would come back here again.

Eilene C.

Yelp
My family and I enjoyed this place. Located in the village of Totem Lake, this place is walking distance from many other attractions. After watching a movie, we walked to this restaurant for ramen. Cute vibe with large windows and colorfully large mural. The staff were attentive and were able to sit a party of 8 fairly quickly. The food was delicious and we enjoyed all of the dishes we ordered. The kids enjoyed their chicken kaarage and the ramen that we ordered.

Maggie L.

Yelp
We came on a busy Sunday afternoon right before dinner (around 4:30). The restaurant with casual ambience is surprisingly busy at this odd hour since everyone is out on this nice day. Positive: +Baby-friendly - Spacious walkway, great for stroller and highchair. Changing table in the women's bathroom. +Food came out fairly quickly. Negative: -Food, particular the ramen, were meh. We tried Blaze (spicy tonkatsu, chili paste on top) and Garlic Truffle Ramen. Both ramen need more salt. Blaze was disappointing, the broth was not flavorful. I asked for 3/3 spicy on Blaze, and only used half of the chili paste that came. I recommend the Garlic Truffle Ramen if you are a fan of mushroom. My favorite part was the thick cut of chashu. -The hostess was very nice, but the server made me feel rushed.

Ewan T.

Yelp
The food was great I had the Naruto 'classic' ramen and it was the best! Amazing service very fast the people checked on us every five minutes and they played the best music. Over all I would give this one hundred stars if I could. I think that they should expand their business to new places because this is the future of ramen! Made by

Kathy K.

Yelp
Another cold & rainy day calls for Ramen. One of our favorite places to hang out is the Kirkland Totem Village; which has Silverlake Ramen. Host was friendly and seated us as tables became available. We waited no more than 15mins during sunday lunch hours. There are fireplaces and heated lamps throughout the area to keep warm while waiting for table. Once seated, we ordered spicy ramen, chicken bowl and shoyu broth ramen. Broth was little bit bland but the spicy ramen broth was on point. It could be that we ordered shoyu ramen broth with low sodium. We added some hot sauce & ramen was tasty to our liking. Since it was a cold day, we've asked our ramen to be served extra hot (temperature) and the chef accommodated. Ambience was nicely decorated with painting & murals of Silverlake in California. Go check out the Silverlake ramen place and Bon Appetite!

Jinhyung K.

Yelp
Pretty underwhelming ramen to be honest, especially at that price point. Spinach is an interesting addition to the classic ramen which I got. Not a fan. The noodles and broth tasted like separate entities which left the noodles without any flavor attached to it. The pork was dry and the ramen egg just didn't have that rich creamy flavor you usually see. It's a trendy and spacious place though. Servers were nice, but the food just didn't hit.

Hailey M.

Yelp
I really wish I liked the ramen here better because the location is incredible. However, after dining here a few times, the only ramen I seem to like is the garlic truffle, which isn't included in the combo deal. The other ramens are forgettable.

Marcy F.

Yelp
Excellent service and food! Attentive and very prompt wait staff. Very friendly. Good specials

Khanh N.

Yelp
I never liked ramen until I went to Silverlake Ramen. Something about this broth is just different than normal salty ramen broth. I really can't decide which ramen I like the most the The Shoyu on Fire or The Blaze. I think the Blaze because it is creamy. The Shoyu on Fire is also so good and it has corn! I LOVE eating spicy but when I got this one spicy it was soooo spicy, but it was still so good! So just beware! Sometimes I feel like one of the slices of pork is not enough and I treat myself to two lol I love the bun appetiziers and the gyoza! My sister's love the chicken karaage bowl, the chicken is so crispy!! It can get pretty busy on the weekends but there are so any shops nearby to keep you occupied. The service is hit or miss with refilling the water, the always refill the water right when you are all done with your food? Lol

Jennifer J.

Yelp
It was a blustery day in Kirkland and I was craving a hot bowl of noodly goodness, so I decided to knock yet another new place off my Yelp bucket list: Silverlake Ramen. I was pleasantly surprised not only to find parking right in front of the shop, but to be seated right away during the busy lunch rush. Confession: I'm no ramen snob. But my Shoyu On Fire was one big bowl of amazing delishness. The broth was rich (and spicy), the noodles tender, and it had just enough fixin's to fill my belly and warm me up inside. The restaurant itself is modern and well-decorated, with promises (hopefully) of a sake bar to come, and MANY menu items marked as "not yet available" - hopefully these are both good signs that they're planning to expand their offerings in the near future. The service was quick and friendly, and I was out of there in well under 45 minutes. The prices were, well, very 2022. Including tax and tip my lunch (I just drank water) came to just over $20.

Ken N.

Yelp
When this place opened. It was by far my favorite Ramen place. I've been here several times and it has been a treat for the family. Today was a let down. First. All the portions have shrunk. The Broccolini was enough to share with my family of four. Today it was one stalk for each eater and it was only 3 of us this time. The pork Chasu is also shrunk down. My wife's chicken Ramen had less meat as well. Garlic Truffle was my favorite. The pork used to be cooked perfectly. Nice flavoring, but easy to break up into the soup. Today it was charred more on one side. And it was tough. Last of all, my noodles had a small hard clump where the noodles were not cooked, or not separated properly. Big let down from the previous experience we had. While I previously considered them top tier. Now their portion has fallen down and the quality has suffered. It won't be my last try, but I hope they can at least turn around the quality.

Emily T.

Yelp
Cute interior, mid ramen place. Karage bowl was tasty, ramen not bad. Picture showed pan fried gyoza but deep fried gyoza was served, disappointing.......good location if you are craving ramen. Ramen chain from SoCal.

Cal C.

Yelp
This is a fine choice for get your ramen fix. Friendly staff and a bright interior welcome you. In terms of the food itself it is just as good as other local ramen places. Between shoyu and traditional pork based , I personally liked their shoyu base better but YMMV.

Alexander C.

Yelp
Fantastic Ramen! Well, at least the vegetarian one is (though I do kinda wish more places had more than one vegetarian option for ramen, but that's just the way it goes)

Taylor S.

Yelp
I've tried this place twice. Both times, we were sat immediately and the service was very quick. I was surprised to see they still aren't offering combos even though the menu has said coming soon since they opened. I went with the Blaze ramen without seaweed and medium spice. My husband went with the karage chicken bowl. The blaze bowl was delicious. The noodles were perfectly cooked as they weren't hard yet not mushy. The broth has a nice creamy flavor and the pork was nicely cooked. If you like fried chicken, you would like the karage bowl as it's essentially fried chicken with sauce and rice. Will be returning. There is plenty of parking within the village.

Yelp
Due to the many ramen places located in the Seattle area, this scratched the part of my mind of ramen places on Eastside. Upon searching, Silverlake Ramen caught my eye as an interesting ramen place to check out! We decided to go on a Sunday, waited about 15 minutes after we got on the waitlist and then got seated. The restaurant itself was very spacious and open with it's design, and the ambience gave off a vibes of a new hip ramen restaurant in town with fancy artwork and lighting options. Service was fast and we got our orders in about 10ish minutes. At the time of this review, the combo option for $20 was coming soon - this was a bit puzzling to me as majority of the options that make up the combo were available to order on the menu. But it's all good, since I wanted to try a ramen option that wasn't included in the combo. I got their pork bun and garlic truffle ramen, which I'll review down below: Pork Bun ($5.50): Yum - I actually really like the flavors in the bun! The pork belly was really tender and fell apart when you chew, which was delicious with the sesame aioli that filled in the strands of pork when you started to chew. This bun does feel a bit steep on price at least based on the pricing of other pork buns I've had at other ramen restaurants, but I could see this as a solid option when they start servicing their combo option. Garlic Truffle Ramen ($17.25): The flavors of this ramen were nice and rich - which is exactly what I want when I go get ramen! You can't really taste the truffle as the broth itself was very strong in salty and umami flavor, but it's there if you focus on it and you can see the pools of truffle oil floating on top. The egg was nice and soft, nice marination, but you only get half an egg - personally would have preferred a whole egg in comparison to other ramen places. Same thought with the charshu pork, tender - I could tell through texture that I got a more lean cut, which isn't bad, but I personally prefer the spiral cut pork belly since you get all textures from fat to lean. Noodles were decently chewy, they were very slightly thicker, and they did soak up the broth well. In the end, I really like seeing more ramen options pop up on Eastside! Silverlake is a good start, but I think the more solid options are located in Seattle still. I'm comparing these ramens based on all the ramen's I've had in Seattle, and $29 for everything you see here is a bit steep on pricing based on what I've had. A decent option if you looking to fill up on ramen on Eastside though!

Tiffany L.

Yelp
Casual and efficient ramen joint. We tried a few different menu options and everything tasted fresh. It can be noisy inside so might not be best choice for conversations but if you just want a nice quick meal, it will work great. They are busy and we felt a bit rushed out. Understandable though.

Marissa F.

Yelp
Checked this place out for lunch yesterday. I have been wanting to go here for some time but haven't had the chance until yesterday. Customer service was fantastic. We were greeted immediately and had a table within minutes. It helped that it wasn't too busy. The atmosphere seemed friendly. In to the food. I believe I got the classic ramen and my husband got the shoyu on fire with creamy broccoli, edamame and the spicy chicken bun for our appetizers. Food was served quick! Edamame tasted like steamed edamame. The creamy broccoli was good. Nothing that I would crave necessarily, and the spicy por bun was more like a spicy chicken sandwich. It was very spicy so beware. The classic ramen was pretty... bland. I wasn't a fan. I tried my husbands ramen and had one bite and that was more than enough. The spice went straight to the back of your throat. Very unusual. I didn't think it had a lot of flavor. Probably won't be getting ramen here again but it was worth the try. On the plus side, the check wasn't too bad and on the cheaper side considering the location.

Rachel S.

Yelp
The food here were Delicious and the wait was pretty fast. We got our food really quick.. The server was really nice. The ambience is super cute. It's modern and they even had this cute murals on the back wall.

Julie D.

Yelp
I have ordered ramen from here to go a couple of times. The service is very quick. I have gotten the classic ramen and the spicy. Both are full of flavor and noodles. The spicy is my favorite. The egg is cooked perfectly. The restaurant is always busy when I pickup my order. Stop in and try some ramen or get an order to go. One bowl lasts me for three meals.

Julie G.

Yelp
Trendy ramen spot. Not bad but I'm more of a classic ramen flavors type of person. Located in the crowded totem lake area. Close to Salt and Straw. Got lucky and found a parking spot right out front but this shopping area can get crowded. Got the spicy pork ramen ($19.01) The pork was somewhat overcooked and dry. Meh spot for me. Depends on what you like.

Jess T.

Yelp
Silverlake Ramen is a welcome contribution to the growing dining scene in the Village at Totem Lake. We had our first visit recently on one of the chillier days this month. It felt very clean and spacious inside the restaurant. The bar has cool neon street signs that add to the atmosphere. I ordered a classic ramen bowl with pork, my choice of protein; chicken or tofu are options as well. I like that the protein and egg was included in the base 15.95 price; some places only add them as extras. Broth was thick and fatty as a ramen should be, with plenty of noodles cooked al dente as I like them. There was one thick piece of pork belly which was a bit on the overcooked/dry side, not as fall-apart-in-the-mouth as I expected. The egg was not seasoned much and looked a bit unattractive in the bowl. What I appreciated was that the bowl wasn't too greasy or salty like some I've tried. The meal was on the expensive side and honestly not too special, but I'm just glad there is finally a ramen option like this in Kirkland.

Yelp
After seeing a lot of mixed reviews, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I like this place. It's really close to home so I can see myself coming back. We went with my parents so we were able to grab a few items to try: Edamame and grilled potstickers - standard Pork belly BAO -- the pork belly is really good and flavorful and they give you a pretty big piece. The BAO was strong enough to hold it without getting mushy even after 10-15 minutes Crispy rice with tuna -- probably the favorite appetizers, the crispy rice was perfectly crisp and the tuna with avocado was balanced Chicken karage-- flavor was there, needs to be a little crispier but still pretty good Pork rice bowl -- I really enjoyed this. And it was such a good price. For a large bowl, you get a good portion of rice, pork, an egg and some veggies. The flavor was good, and everything was cooked perfectly. I love the combination of flavor. Classic ramen bowl -- the bowl seem big but the portion is standard. It comes with egg and the noodles is chewy. The broth was thick and creamy and the favorite was sthe chasu cause it was a pretty thick cut Service was also really good. They kept refilling our water, was really nice and attentive. Overall, a good place and I would come back, especially for the rice bowls :)

Julia Z.

Yelp
Parking: I didn't, but there's plenty of parking in the main mall area a short walk away, if you can't find any on the street immediately in front (which is free 2 hr parking). I came in on a weekday afternoon to finally try this place, ordered the broccolini and chicken karaage appetizers, with the classic ramen. Ramen is excellent. The broth is rich without tasting too fatty, and also came out lightning fast (although again, I came during a slow period). The egg was nicely soft boiled. Chashu flavor was smokier than I'm used to (more bbq than Japanese pork flavor, I guess), but the fat was still rendered well and melty. Noodles were thin but good texture. Broccolini is deep fried and delicious. I ate it all up by myself in a very short time, not something I would share haha. The karaage was the harder fry kind, and the meat a little stringier, so I probably won't get that next time personally. The flavors were also much stronger for the chicken karaage- usually it's a good thing, but I noticed it made the ramen taste of less. They also have some rice dishes and other ramen types, I'd probably try the garlic next time (with the broccolini, it was too good)! Oh, also, I maybe wouldn't sit next to the window next time if it's 3-4pm. The sun was a bit harsh but I was stubborn and now I'm hot.

Francesca S.

Yelp
What we ordered for the table: - Blaze Ramen - Shoyu Ramen - Pork Bun A popular chain in Los Angeles, I had to check out their new location in Washington State !

Kosneath V.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stopped by this place around 12:45 PM on a Sunday and it was full. We waited about 15-20 minutes before we got a text to check in with the host. Our waiter was super quick to start us off with two glasses of water. We ordered: 1. The Blaze (mild) with thick noodle and an additional chili paste on the side (16.50$): I really like the creamy broth and the big chunk of pork. Rather than the usual bamboo shoots, my bowl had crunchy bean sprouts and colorful spinach. The seasoned egg was soft and delicious. The gave me way too much noodle which can be a plus for some people. I ended up just sipping the broth away. The mild had a very small kick so I was glad that I got the additional chili paste on the side. Overall, super fulfilling especially on a rainy day! 2. Cajun Mazemen (17.25$): my boyfriend opted to try this new dish and it tasted like a seafood boil in Ramen form. The noodle went well with the chicken/Cajun broth. It came with two pieces of shrimps and thee slices of hot link sausage. However, my boyfriend mentioned that he would love this more if it had more meat. The corn pieces add a nice texture and flavor to the whole bowl.

Yelp
My boyfriend and me have been coming here for months. Before that I came in with my sister and friends. I enjoy this place a lot. The service is nice, the food is excellent, and the ambiance is very lively. After coming here a lot, the cashiers already know us since we come pretty much very week. I originally saw this place on my Tik-Tok and since I'm very easily influenced, I decided to go. I dragged my boyfriend and now we can't seem to go anywhere else. We love this place a lot. The music is very trendy and the waiters are very attentive. This place is a MUST TRY, if you're in the area.

Yelp
TL;DR: Generously phat chashu pork. Get it! Parking: Parking garage or surrounding shared lot in the Totem Lake shopping mall. Atmosphere: Spacious and high ceiling dining area, which also makes noise reverberate easily so it can get quite loud. Sound dampening might be a good future suggestion if they want to improve their acoustics for normal conversation levels. Menu: QR code menu on the table with text and no photos. Photo menu available on their website for the visually inclined like me, I like to eat with my eyes. Fist bump to my fellow hunger-triggered-by-photos peeps! Service: wait to be seated, order at the table, you will be watered and your table will be bused, check brought to table, box your own leftovers upon request. The Classic Ramen: The chashu pork. Oh. My. Word. The generously thick and juicy slice is just what I wish every ramen shop had. None of this thinly sliced, paper thin and stringy chashu pork that most shops have. Real ramen is chunky. Real ramen is PHAT. Real ramen should have this level of chashu. But warning, the tenderness may not be consistent -- another bowl of ramen had a slightly drier hunk of chashu. The broth is a bit on the salty side but is easily counteracted with the fresh beansprouts and spinach. Soft boiled egg is indeed soft and melt-in-your-mouth consistency. The noodles are a bit on the al dente side but added a nice chew. Pork Bowl: Listed as spicy but the only spicy thing is the fried jalapeno, which you can ask them to hold the fire (haha) and not include it in your bowl. The flavor is good but there is a bit too much of it, at least for me. The pork soft but is on the salty side. The rice is coated in the same sauce, so when you look for some neutral relief from dear old ricey friend here, he's barely there -- nothing but his jacket left on the sofa in your apartment. You're going to need your friend water...haha.

Yelp
We ordered online with a pick-up scheduled for 20 minutes (their available time). We got there in 15 minutes and had no notice, so we walked around. @ 20 minutes, we went in, and they tried to give us a takeout for someone with the same first name but not our order. They searched for our order and did not find it. They then looked at their computer and found that they had not entered it into the kitchen. They then said, "just 5 minutes," as it was standard ramen, so not difficult for them to put our order at the front of the queue. 10 minutes later, we asked again, but they could not find it. Then we got a young man who spoke good English; he said he would check. He walked back to the kitchen and looked at the orders, and we did not see him again for 10 minutes. We waited another 10 minutes, now more than 30 minutes since we ordered. Other orders came and left (maybe with our order, as nobody seemed to know what was going on!) Finally, the young man returns, checks his computer and tells us he will put our order into the system. By that time, our inner Tony Soprano arrived, and we said forget it...cancel our order. Even with a calm attitude, it was impossible to forgive their inept abilities to prepare one of their standard meals and get it to a customer within an hour of the confirmed time. We asked to make sure we had a credit on our account, and he could not figure that out either, as he showed where it had been charged almost an hour earlier but could not find a credit. I understand being busy and the need to hire help that may not be qualified at the time of hire, but on-the-job training has cost them our business, and we trust MANY others as well. It is ramen, it is not brain surgery... find someplace else to eat or be disappointed, or plan on spending a lot of time waiting for their inept service!

Yelp
This is a new to Washington ramen place that we later learned is based in LA with multiple locations. Although we got there at 7:20 pm, they told us they were doing last call for food and their kitchen closed in 10 min and they could serve us still. I'm glad we got to try this place as the food is pretty good. We each had a hot tea (served in to-go cups - odd), and shared some edamame. No soy sauce or wasabi in sight so we ate the edamame plain which wasn't as good. My son had The Classic Ramen with extra soft boiled egg, wife had the pork bun and Handmade Fried Gyoza and I had the Chicken Karaage Bowl. Everyone enjoyed the food. My son said the soft boiled eggs in his ramen were cold which isn't how you'd expect them to be unless you were in a hurry to get the dish out due to the place closing soon. The pork bun was unique as it was a taco style which we had never seen before. Pretty interesting way to serve it. I liked my chicken bowl as it was tasty and the mildly hot sauce they had over it was just right. My only knock on this place was the soft boiled egg mentioned above and the hurriedness of the staff as we ordered and ate. It was like Cinderella trying to get home before the carriage turned back into a pumpkin at midnight. These guys were taking dishes off our table as soon as the last item was finished. The bill showed up literally a few minutes after the food arrived. The to go cups for tea was sort of telling. Even though they informed us they were closing shortly, they still served us but we felt way too rushed. It made the experience much less enjoyable. I really like the decor inside and the food. I would just recommend not going 40 minutes before closing time unless your name is Cinderella.

Yelp
Finally had the chance to try out this ramen shop! Vaccine cards are checked upon entry and all guests are well-distanced apart. Menus are via QR code. The bathrooms are decently clean and everything (except for the door and toilet) are essentially touch-less. We decided on the pork bun, chicken karaage, and garlic truffle ramen - all for my husband and I to share. Each dish was full of flavor and in a great way! It was more than enough for us to share. The pork was creamy, not too salty, and paired nicely with the picked onions in my favorite bun. The karaage was oh so good and had a great dipping sauce as accompaniment. Great for sharing. The ramen wasn't 5-star worthy to me but still very tasty. The ramen thickness was either too thick or just not one I preferred. While my husband didn't enjoy the kale or the mushrooms - I was fine eating them both, but if switched out for different veggie options, this dish could be elevated. Overall while it isn't our first pick, we would still eat here again.
