Simmzy’s - Review - Burbank - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Simmzy’s is pretty much a SoCal chain these days, but the Burbank location is great because it’s huge. Also, it’s a five-minute drive from whatever major Burbank studio you’ve been slaving away in all day. The beach-themed restaurant/bar has a weekday happy hour from 4pm-7pm, surprisingly good bar food, and a laid-back atmosphere that you can actually unwind in with every other studio worker in the Valley. photo credit: Jakob Layman" - Brant Cox

"Simmzy's, Burbank. Simmzy's, well known for it's popular gastropubs down in Manhattan Beach and Long Beach, has come inland and brought its delicious burgers and craft beer along. Replacing a longtime boarded-up eyesore, this colorful new spot across the street from the old NBC studios is impeccably designed and decorated with a surf meets southwest motif. Enjoy a beer from their see-through keg coolers behind the bar, and fill up on tasty burger. Simmzy's is the comfortable new pub in town, complete with cornhole on the newly added patio."

Simmzy's is just a great local brewery that I love going to. I really enjoy their food, great dishes, flavorful and well structured. Now the beer is delicious, if you are looking for fresh beer, do not hesitate to visit this place. Friendly staff, clean place and great atmosphere!

Always a great time! Excellent service with quality beer and food. They have high quality beer that is made in house and is worth taking a gander at each type. They also have a revolving menu of traveling beers that range in flavor and alcohol content. The staff knows their stuff and is always willing to make sure that you get the beer you want. The will give you as any samples as you need so don't feel shy about asking. If you give them an idea of what taste you are looking for they will use their expertise to find the right one for you. All of their food is very tasty and the 15 minute wings are worth the wait. They have daily specials that are limited in supply so be sure to get their early if they have something you want. The fried chicken sandwich is very tasty and sneaky spicey. The pizzas there maybe the best thing on their menu. All of them are worth getting (I've tried them all). Happy hour is a lot of fun for cheap appetizers and drinks. People watching is great during this time because all the people from the studios are waiting out traffic while they chat it up. It is walking distance for my wife and me so we love having a stroll through Burbank before we get our drink on and I get my drink on.

Go early on Saturday- had the place to ourselves pre'much. The fried chicken sandwich? Trust them when they say its SPICY (unless you're into that sorta mouth burning thing). The service was great and the beer was pretty good (I'm not a beer person so I'll leave that review to the experts). The eggs Benedict pizza was delish and the Hash looked amazing but I only got a bite of potato (that was good too). I would take off a star cause you have to order fries separately but it's not that big a deal. Great beachy decor.

We went here for Happy Hour on a Friday afternoon after a Warner Brothers Studio Tour. They have limited food items (only about six things) included in their Happy Hour menu, all around $5-6. They also have a daily cocktail specials for Happy Hour, Friday it is a white sangria. They had live music on the patio and it was a fun, but chill ambiance!

Wide variety of beer but for the more advanced drinker. Pretty sure they change out the selection regularly. Food is pretty good. Love the wings and shrimp citrus salad. Down the street from Disney so busy for work week lunches.

Me and my girlfriend got personal pizzas. They were very good. Had a couple of flights from the build you own flight beer menu, they were all really good. Enjoyed the food, and our service was good.

I know this place gets a lot of great reviews but we simply didn't have that experience. We eat out a lot. The service was less than average and certainly not fast. So don't go hungry. The food mediocre and slightly over priced for this kind of venue/pub. It started when the host seated us in an obscured corner two top when the entire place was empty. We could not see any of the screens so we had to move two more times. Again because of an uneven floor. The wait staff forgot everything extra that we ask for including Tabasco and ketchup The 15 minutes-worth the wait-wings we're very good. But they just weren't worth the price. 12.50 for 3 wings, 6 small pieces. They should be called worth the wait but not worth the price-wings. Or tell you how many wings you're actually getting before you're surprised by the dwarfed serving on the plate when it arrives. They also has a cap on tasters. We ordered three pints while we were there and tasted three others. At which point the server made it clear we would only be allowed one more taster The bar looks good but it simply isn't comfortable and the place has a generally sterile field to it. Not warm and inviting like your neighborhood Pub. But more like a tourist attraction. I have to add that it was very cold inside the restaurant and while I enjoy the space and that they have their own Brew, it seems more suited to an old furniture shop. We drive by it a lot as we live near the area, but won't go back. We'll leave that for the tourists who buy the inaccurate reviews and overpriced wings.

Simmzy's is part of a small chain of restaurants in Southern CA. This location has excellent customer service and brews great beer on site. A comfortable environment with indoor and outdoor seating you feel quite at home. The brewery spans the two levels of the restaurant with the brewhouse on the second floor and the fermentors on the first floor upon the entrance. Great place for lunch or dinner. Prime location near studios, hospital, and medical offices in Burbank.
