The food was ok. Regular bar food. The citrus salmon salad was really good. I liked the fries. The wings were ok. They were cooked well but felt like they needed more wing sauce. Family got burgers and tacos they said they were good but nothing memorable about them.

Food: I got the 15-minute wing - are their versions of Buffalo wings. Sweet, tangy, and juicy. I also got the chimichanga. There are plenty of beers on tap, including their house beers. Service: relaxed atmosphere, with a bar vibe, good music, and large windows. The service is quick, accurate, and friendly. Final thought: great little place to rest your feet after walking around 2nd Street. The beach is only about a 7-minute walk.

A short walk, from my daughter's house 🏡, and my favorite place to Eat and Drink at, every time I VISIT!!! I was treated to an early FATHERS DAY ❤️ DINNER 🍽️🍽️🍽️, by my daughter and her Boyfriend 🤩🤩... This is a super late post for me. I love Simmzy's and I am still sad that the one close to me (Burbank) closed. My wife, son and I were out in Long Beach for Saint Baldricks, it's a fundraiser for cancer research. I have to say from start to finish our visit was absolutely perfect. Jennifer was awesome! She was incredibly friendly, welcoming and fast! We never had to look for her and my drink was never empty. The food was great! I highly recommend the eggs Benedict pizza!!!!

Good food, good service and one of the best values on 2nd street. Tacos are highly recommended.

Great local spot. Staff is friendly and detail-oriented. It's also a consistent staff, which usually indicates that it's a good place to work, that they are valued and treated respectfully. We like that. Additionally, the menu is creative, eclectic, and not overwhelming. Our family of four loves this spot.

Never had a bad meal at Simzys. I have a few faves. Cali Chicken sandwich, blue cheese burger, arugula salad pizza, breakfast pizza, chilaquiles. Love their Paloma with a touch of mezcal. Bella makes an awesome drink and her service is great. I also love that there are purse hangers at every table and up at the bar. Smart!

They have such a large variety of different food options, you're bound to find a favorite. The wait to be seated is never long and for the food as well. Definitely a spot worth checking out. The ambiance reminds me of a bar and a diner. It's very welcoming and laid back atmosphere great for a place to hang out with family and friends. The bar allows people to mingle with each other which is a great way to meet new faces! The waiters here are very kind and patient. They will explain menu items to you and give you recommendations when asked. My experience with their workers have always been great, the provide quality service.

I've been here twice now and had two very different experiences. The first time we sat at the bar and it was great. The ambiance is welcoming and has a fun, casual feeling. The food was delicious. I got the goat cheese salad, which was delicious, and my husband got a burger. The bartender gave us excellent service, which was appreciated. The second time, we sat at a table with my daughter on Mother's Day, and not a single server said Happy Mother's Day. The food was just as good the first time, but the service was lacking. Overall, we would come back but sit at the bar for better service unfortunately that means we could only come on a date night since of course children aren't able to sit at the bar.

First time here in years, and it's delicious! We got seated right away outside and the vibes are great & they're playing rlly good music (kinda shocked but slay). Food came out super fast after our drinks. The La Rosa Margarita is AMAZING!!! And on top of that amazing service?! The perfect ending to the day

The food and drinks were amazing but what I really appreciated is when I walked in with a fussy and very hungry baby a waiter brought fries without us even asking. It kept my little guy happy which made me happy. It's the little things. :)

I was happy to have tried. Service was great. But food... I can't even tell you what I ordered... oh pizza and a painkiller drink. Haa. Maybe that's why I'm drawing a blank. So nothing too memorable. But definitely has a good vibe to it. Lots of people so they must be doing it right.

Enjoyed my first visit. I had the Billionaire Burger, and really enjoyed it. Next time I'm going to try the same set up - bun, bacon, etc - with a non-Waygu patty. I want to know if the Waygu burger with all that stuff is like drinking a great bourbon with ginger ale! Excellent burger nevertheless. Service was attentive. Our server Steven was very cordial and happy to give recommendations whether it be their burgers or pizza. We sat at the bar which was comfortable. Not too loud but maybe that was because it was a Monday night without football , . I'll return.

Nice corner restaurant with old school beach diner decor and friendly service. We only stopped by for drinks, so I can't say anything about the food, but the pizza seemed to be a popular menu item. It seems to be family-friendly as there were plenty of parents with kids. There is also a small patio seating area for people watching. They have all gender restrooms and the parking is in the street metered parking.

Love their food & beer! My go to is their shrimp salad which unfortunately has shrunk in size the last yea for two but it's still amazing and HIGHLY REXOMMEND! Their Brussels sprouts appetizers is sooo tasty, along with their wings app and their pizzas. A great place to grab a beer and bite and watch the 2nd street crowd from the patio

I've been here on multiple occasions and have attached pictures from those visits. If I kept digging for pictures I would definitely have more. Deliciously crispy and juicy wings and menu options!! Yummy beer selection Great happy hour on the pizza (half off) and beers I really wish they would bring back the tamarind wings! I understand they have the 15 minute wings but having the option to get tamarind wings would be awesome. You can't get anything like it around here. Another unique thing here would be the Brussels sprouts. I come here and get the Brussels sprouts, every single time. It's got lemon sauce with capers and sardines or anchovies idk but it's delicious. I love it with all my heart. Best Brussels sprouts I've ever tried. Also for the ahi poke tostada, it comes with this yummy pickled ginger. Great stuff. Overall the restaurant is beautiful and wonderfully located, the big windows make it great on a warm night. The vibes are always good and the servers are kind as well. Got a complimentary chocolate mousse one night and was soo happy. Thank you Simmzy's! I recommend all my friends go here if they're in the area.

A cute place in downtown Long Beach where you can go to grab American food. They have a good burger and fries. The atmosphere is laid back and colorful (not sure if that's the best way to explain it lol). The portion sizes are pretty big. That's always good! The food is decent and nothing but good vibes inside. Staff are friendly. Prices are not too bad, especially for the portion size. It's on the corner of the street, so you can't miss it. More of a laid-back place to eat for downtown Long Beach. It gets crowded but is more lowkey than some of the other bars and restaurants in the area.

Great service, good for groups, there were 6 of us. I wasn't a big fan of a million dollar burger the cheddar was way too strong for my taste. The salmon sandwich was amazing. The wings were good. The drinks were refreshing.

Hands down the Best Chilaquiles I've ever had. The sauce was so good and hints of citrus. The shredded pork was so tender. I've eaten at this restaurant a few times, and I've never had a bad meal. A lot of unique items on their menu, super fun, atmosphere, service is excellent.

I was walking around second Street waiting for this to open, one of the servers (Connor) had come out and greeted me and asked if I had any questions about the menu. Super friendly and nice and recommended the Chilaquiles. I was so excited to come back and try the Chilaquiles since the remodel. Having recently moved back to Long Beach from Hawaii, I had been here when my daughter was born, and that was 28 years ago lol Came back at 10 & a group of us walked in only to have the reaction of someone (server, manager?) behind the bar put their head down on the bar & shake their head, obviously in reaction to their 1st customers walking thru the door. Really? great way to greet us. The server I had spoken to before was very friendly and waved us all in. Try to sit in HIS section!!! Having worked in restaurants and managed them for over 15 years, you can't explain that reaction as anything but what it was. I guess I will remember that in my tip & noted in my review. Normally I don't like to review customer service because everybody has their days however, it was just not welcoming and we all felt like we were intruding on their day. I sat out on the patio with my dog. It was a gorgeous Sunday. Wasn't crowded, at least not until later I've heard. I was alone on the patio and it was awesome. I could people watch and relax with my dog and enjoy my meal. Holly was my server, and he was friendly, attentive, & accommodating, but did not hover over me during my meal. Chilaquiles had had braised short ribs, a lime cilantro sauce, over medium eggs! Loved it. Super tasty, just enough spice but not too hot. I forget that Chilaquiles are served with over easy eggs. Normally I would ask for them to be over hard but these were perfect. My only downgrade is the dish was served just on the warm side of cold. But it was a very flavorful dish and I highly recommend it! This is a cute place and I would come again....before the crowds!

Date night fun. Came here on a Wednesday for dinner. Menu was full of options for both her and I. Had some delicious Cauliflower wings, been craving the skin of fried chicken but since I don't eat meat these wings were the closest. Pickled toppings on the tacos were a perfect match. Even washed it down with some cold Simmzy's IPAs. Trivia night and wish we had the energy to stay longer, seemed like fun. Thank you Simmzy's for the delicious food and positive environment.

Food was really good! I was a bit nervous to try this place but don't regret it at all. Ambiance is very cool and clean. Service was great. He recommended some good dishes! The only thing I will say is wings are a little over priced for the flavor even though they give you " Jumbo" wings flavor was okay. I understand though because of the area. Everything else was really good and everything is made fresh.

Been here a few times and the food is always great! Great vibes in there and the food comes really quickly.... Besides the 15 minute wings BUT those are a must try in my opinion! They are so delicious and the wings are really big so they could be a whole meal rather than an appetizer.

Definitely a great casual place to get some good food and enjoy the sites and sounds of 2nd street. We have been here for lunch and for dinner over the years. This latest outing was for dinner with friends. Our server was great and attentive, as are all the staff here. Simmzy's has a great indoor space and also a good sized outdoor dining space since they are located on a corner. Awesome for warm nights.

Stopped in for an appetizer and drinks to close out 2023. We opted to sit at the bar. The bartenders were very attentive and friendly. We had the pork nachos, Dead Cowboy red lager and the house amber. Not sure why I don't frequent this place more often. The nachos had the right amount of crunch and backed up with some jalapeños and whole shishito peppers. It was an up charge for the pork but it was well worth it for the amount of meat that they add. The meat was flavorful and juicy. The portion was more than enough to split between two hungry people. Plenty of seating indoors but not much outdoor seating now that the parklet is gone. This place is totally worth dropping in for a drink, quick or full meal.

Great food and nice ambiance. I went here for lunch and ordered their chipotle pizza. The pizza was delicious, I also got the carne asada fries and those were delicious as well.

This is such a cute place and location. I've had their cauliflower tacos and at first was hesitant but they are my go to for now on! Their Caesar salad is all very good. One of my favorites.

Great spot for a beer & a burger - although there's plenty of other options on the menu! Great for groups or date night! Our favorite item on the menu is the billionaire burger. The quality of everything on that burger is divine. I tend to upgrade my side to garlic fries or half garlic fries half sweet potato fries. The 15 min wings are tasty and meaty but I don't get the hype. They tend to have a nice variety of beers, wine and tropical beachy cocktails. Service is always on par but we enjoy sitting up at the bar when we have the chance. We're usually too full for dessert but they look tempting!

This is an updated review after my bad experience here! I really do love the food, their beer selection, and the pricing here overall. It's a great place to grab American food with a unique little twist. For instance, their 15-minute wings are amazing ($16)! The wings themselves are enormous and the sauce is sweet/zesty. They aren't your average buffalo-flavored wings. The wings are served as an appetizer, but sheesh, the wings are large enough to fill ya up as an entree. Their burger is also great; the aioli sauce is a great touch. My second favorite dish is their Carne Asada poutine fries ($14). I go crazy for their appetizers and their above-average ranch, lol. I'm still bummed that their service is slow; it takes forever to see your waiter throughout your dining experience. We had to get the bussers attention!

FOOD/DRINK: I've been for both brunch and dinner, and it's solid. There's a fair amount of options including vegetarian. I've never brought somewhere here where they struggled to find something they like on the menu, it's reasonably expansive and classic without too much "fluff." American-style cuisine. Their Beyond/Impossible-variant burger is great, and their Cauliflower Tacos and Crispy-Crunchy Vegan Bowl are solid. They make decent sangria on the drinks-front. The prices are reasonable for the area. VIBE: Casual, though has nice interior design with a warmer feel. Very open and airy. It's a good spot to hang out in a low-key setting. Has TVs for watching sports games, a bar, and then regular seating. Good for happy hour, date night, or a catchup with a friend. There's always plenty of kids here, too, so great for families. SERVICE: This is where they sort of struggle...they're just consistently understaffed for how busy they tend to get. You always need to sort of flag someone down to either order / get a refill / get your check, so I never come here if I'm in a rush. If you walk in knowing that, you'll have a great experience. That said, the staff is friendly.

A cute cozy dinner serving up good ol' American eats! Walking in, I really liked how warm and welcoming the atmosphere felt! Moody lighting, warm colors, and a friendly team. I went with the Simmzy's Burger (a classic) with fries. A solid burger! Especially loved the caramelized onions and garlic aioli sauce. The gooey cheese really sealed the deal and tied everything together nicely. My only gripe was the slow service. Everyone's extremely nice, but I think they were just a tad understaffed. Took a while to get someone's attention. Note: I love that they offer both regular fries, sweet potato fries, and get this... A MIX! That's insane. They're really doing God's work by offering an option that accounts for the best of both worlds!

Got lunch here earlier today before heading to the airport. Was about a 20 minute wait to be seated which wasn't bad. Seated outside which was fine, asked for the heater and they said yeah, but we never got it. All good. I live the view outside on a nice day, so that made up for the cold. Ordered some fries with garlic aioli to start with, and they were delicious. A little different, all of them very thin and a little crunchy, maybe not for everyone but I dig it. The garlic aioli was on point, but maybe give everyone a little more. For my meal I ordered the shareable vegetarian nachos. Gotta say, they were solid. I was excited when I saw that they make their own chips (perfect), fire roasted tomato salsa (excellent) and queso too (meh). To me, queso will either make or break a nacho if you are putting it on there. If you do a good queso it immediately enhances the nacho experience, but if you don't it can kill it. This one misses in my opinion. Not very flavorful and it had a grainy texture. If I was them I would take it off and use the cheeses they already had on there and let the salsa do the work. Maybe add a spicy cheese to it. But the queso just wasn't doing it. I would live to try some more of the options (which I'm sure I will as I have family that live a couple blocks away). Overall, a nice place, will definitely try again. 100% recommend. 8.1/10

The cheerful greeting by Holly upon entering and then subsequent superb and professional service made for a great experience. The Tortilla Soup is the bomb and homemade. The Breakfast Sando was delicious and I highly recommend the Nachos...see Picture. All Beers on draft were tasty, my favorites were the Suntan Suds Amber Lager, It's what day? Hazy IPA and I just wanna drink beer for breakfast Stout. We had such a great all around experience, that I asked to speak to the Manager about Holly's superb service and demeanor. I spoke to the GM Jesse and can see why the food quality, service and overall experience was excellent. Jesse sets a great example for the staff, is professional and restauranteur. We are looking forward to our next visit and will be asking for Holly.

Found this place on Yelp, it was close to where we were so decided to give it a try. We ordered the Carne Asada fries, chicken sandwich and the patty melt. Oh and one Al pastor Taco to taste. The tortilla on the taco was thick. Not sure if it's worth almost $6. I only took a pic of the patty melt. They have a mayo with garlic that's to die for. Perfect for dipping. Service was very good. They were supper friendly and very attentive. I got beach vibes inside. I liked that the kitchen was open and you could see inside. They also serve pizza. It looked good from the ones I saw. Definitely will consider going back if I'm in the area.

Went last week for the first time w my 2 friends. Service was amazing! Bartender & server were very sweet. Ambiance was nice, music was on point. We went on a Friday so it was a very busy night. My friend got the new Korean chicken sandwich, it wasn't great. Sweet & mildly spicy. My friend got the blue cheese burger (lettuce wrapped per request) & she loved it. I got the salmon sando & it was good but nothing crazy. The regular fries & the sweet potato fries WERE STIFF. They did not feel fresh. I know ppl complain about in n out fries but THESE. These take the cake, worst fries I've ever had lol. All 3 of us left our fries on the plate. The drinks were decent. My friend really liked her Moscow mule, the Paloma was not good & my friend did enjoy her orange ice cream alcoholic slushie (I forgot the name). Might go back to try something different? We'll see..

Sangria - not great Burger - giant and really well made. 10/10 Wings - also giant so you can get full if you don't share this. Tasty and not too spicy Vibes - great place for brunch, lunch, dinner, drinks. Nice hangout spot for a couple or a group of friends. Parking in the area is not great ok busy nights.

Definitely a place to get some solid food! I was craving a burger baaaad and this DEFINITELY hit the spot. I got the Simmzy's Burger medium and they did make sure it was medium! It tasted like a yummy charbroiled burger you'd get at a BBQ all while being incredibly juicy. The bun was nice and pillowy soft. I liked the sauce it had on it as well. I got it with the side salad and ranch - they do have the good ranch! The 15 minute wings tasted like what you get on dynamite shrimp which was tasty but I wanted something a bit more on the buffalo side! If you like mildly spicy, creamy with a bit of sweet then I think you'll like this. My partner got the billionaire burger and it was really juicy plus the bacon made it sweet. He really likes the pretzel bread because it's soft with a slight crispiness that it comes on! It had a good amount of cheese. The fries weren't a shining star but they hit the spot. If you're hungry the burgers will hit the spot and they're filling! Service was good as well - waitress checked on us often.

This place was recommended by a friend of mine. I love places that allow reservations, even if I have to call because we were a large party. We came in on a Sunday for brunch. There were 10 of us celebrating my fiancés birthday. Our server was super nice, I wish I remembered his name. He brought us all water and was very attentive to us even though we were a large party. I got the Rosa margarita which was amazing. It has a lime foam on top which was different but delicious since it complimented the margarita. For my entree, I got the chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, it came with ranch. My friend got it with regular fries and those came with a garlic aioli. She didn't want it so I took it and oh my gosh was it amazing with my sweet potato fries. The sandwich was so tasty. Three of us got it and all three off us scarfed it down. Since it was my fiancés birthday, they were sweet enough to bring out a apple cinnamon donut with ice cream and sing to him. The only downside is the lack of a parking lot. It was kinda tough to find parking since it was Sunday, so give yourself time.

My review here is based mostly on staff. When we arrived there was no one in sight. We waited to be seated but ended up sitting at the bar since no one came. We figured that eating at the bar we'd get faster service. After waiting another 5 minutes a gal with short hair came and walked by us. No greeting, she basically looked like she just woke up. We then asked for wings as she walked by since she really didn't care to ask. Afterwards, a male bartender arrived and he almost had the same type of vibe. As the night went on, we flagged the male to request for food. We got our food and it was delicious and he then became more attentive. Message to management- we were there for at least an hour. You had a total of 3 people working the floor. 1 bartender , 1 lazy female with short hair that talked the entire time and helped no one. I believe she may have served water to two tables and the third female with long hair who seemed to be working alone. This is the type of service I dislike and will not return. It's unfortunate that as a manager you allow this to happen. It is unfair for one person to do all the work while the other female decides to be lazy. Not ok!!! This is happening because you've allowed it to happen. Please take note and pay attention to what is happening. This is a reflection on you at the end of the day.

The restaurant gave me beach vibes . The tacos were delicious and we requested no butter, so it could be vegan. And I love skinny fries and they had them there, so I was happy. Service was good, waitress was friendly. I love how open the inside is.

The chicken tenders were delicious. Our server was Philip. He was really attentive and friendly, which made the experience so much better it was our first time here but definitely not our last.

I'm only giving two stars because the taste of the tortilla soup was actually delicious, but let me start off by saying this was more like a tortilla casserole versus a soup because for some strange reason this restaurant decided to add the tortilla chips in the soup to be delivered. By the time the soup was delivered not only was the soup cold the tortilla chips soaked up all of the juice. I only ordered a cup of soup there was little to no juice left and all of the tortilla chips inside were soggy. Such a huge disappointment. I took about three bites and proceeded to trash it. This order cost me $28.05 DOOR DASH only refunded $5 credit and $3 cash what a great way to end my Saturday evening. You would think assembling soup for delivery would be an easy task. Its not like I ordered a 5 course meal.

wow! amazing food, amazing drinks, and amazing service! the caesar salad was so delicious! I'd also like to highlight the amazing service from our waiter phillip. he was so attentive and helpful with recommendations. others could learn from him! all in all a great meal! I will be coming back!

Love this place! Such a cute place in belmont shore to enjoy cocktails and snacks. Their cocktails are really good and flavorful. They do put significant amount of alcohol for their cocktails so it is a plus. They have small snacks like french fries, potato fries, or mixed bags to enjoy with their drinks. They have variety food options too so definitely want to come back to try more. Service overall was okay but I wish they checked upon us more as we were sitting outside and we had to go inside and find a waitress to ask for a check.

Yum. The food is always so good. Ordering delivery made it even better when it gets too crowded. The burgers are always solid.

Although I can't help but miss the decades I spent visiting this place's predecessor at this address, if I'm being honest, the food, decor, service, and cleanliness at Simmzy's is leagues better than it ever was at Shore House. I love their menu, their thoughtfully planned drinks menu, and the food and service are also solid.

Stopped in later in the evening to grab a to go meal. Super busy place, but servers and front-end staff were super pleasant. We ordered a cheeseburger, and mixed fries. Man, I wish I had taken a picture of that burger. It was smoky and delicious and totally hit the spot. All the other food we saw coming out of the kitchen looked equally as food. Based on the crowd, folks looked happy to dine here!

I've been to the Huntington Beach and Long beach locations. The views are fantastic at the HB location- the restaurant is at pacific city, right across the street from the beach. The beer selection is good and generally will provide everyone with something tasty. There are some reliable food choices- mixed bag of fries and the ahi bowl have never disappointed. But I can't say that for most of the other food I've tried- veggie burger, nachos and pizza have all been very hit&miss. Service is typically friendly. Overall not bad, but maybe not much more.

I found this spot through a recommendation from 4 y'all entertainment on YouTube. This location has indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was very attentive and recommended the Bacon Blue Deluxe Burger which was delicious. I couldn't eat it all in one sitting so I ate it the next day and it was still good. The haystack fries were good. They tasted like the animal style fries from in n out. The 15 minute wings did not taste that good to me. They were greasy which greatly overshadowed the flavor. I also got the watermelon Agua Fresca which was a refreshing addition to the meal.

Way better service and food quality than Manhattan Beach location. Highly recommend this location.
