Simon’s Tacos

Being an Mexican-American & after 10 yrs going to different Mexican restaurants in Southwest MN & Southeast SD this has been the most accurate, authentic and delicious food ever!!! KUDOS to the cook, food literally tasted just like it was coming straight from my mom's, or mother-in-law's kitchen!!! I have finally found the ONE thanks to a good friend!!! Prices are great and reasonable as well!!! And I didnt have to wait long for my order the be ready!!!

Delicious food! Pictured are the Chicken Enchilladas, Birria Tacos and Carne Asada. $50 for the 3, including tax. $15ish a plate, portions worth it.

We ordered 1 birria chimichanga it came with birria cup. And what tasted like enchilada sauce (which was real good), and 1 red 1 green sauce. Those were also really good. Spicy red, lime flavor with spice for green. The other item we ordered was lengua tacos, meat was so tender and well seasoned.

Great fresh food, good price! I'm here visiting, and this is the real deal! Fish taco and shrimp tacos were amazing! Huge pieces of fish and huge shrimp, seasoned and grilled. Chipotle sauce was good and smoky without being spicy. Can't wait to come back for breakfast!

Went for the birria burrito and let me tell you, I was not disappointed with my option, which came with a hefty side of comsome and two different salsas. Definitely going back.

Honestly this might be the best Mexican food I’ve had in my life. It’s better quality food and better tasting than any Mexican restaurant I’ve been to. It has diverse Mexican cuisine. You can taste the freshly cut vegetables, if you haven’t tried it you are missing out!

This is seriously the best Mexican food I have ever had in my life! It is made fresh, and I have had several things on their menu and it was all amazing! They have a variety of options to pick from and the staff has always been friendly even when there are rushes. Today I had their surf n turf burrito it was so good it came with perfectly cooked and seasoned it had steak, shrimp, and potatoes! It also had rice in beans! It was a large portion but it was completely delicious!!! I highly recommend this place seriously go try Simon’s Tacos!

I've been to Simon's like 3 times this week for their DELICIOUS birria tacos. I struggled with depression-induced weightloss earlier this year and I think Simon's birria tacos are singlehandedly helping me gain back the weight I lost(it was too much). Perfect rice and beans too!!! Still have yet to try their horchata, and that's the only thing I can complain about, that they're always out of horchata and I NEED TO TRY IT!!!! Lol thank you Simon's. I love you!!!! I'll be back again, and again..AND AGAIN for these amazing flavor bombs of goodness and joy lol

The enchiladas Mexicanas plate ($12) included three enchiladas with choice of meat, rice and beans. It was ready 10 minutes after I ordered at the counter, where the service was accommodative. I liked the shredded, moist, white chicken in the enchiladas and the above average rice and beans with good portions. I found the dining area to be clean and nice with plenty of natural light. Overall, pretty good!

Can't speak to the ambiance or service, but the food was great! I ordered via Uber Eats and it was delicious. I got the special fries and tacos. Incredible!

I ate here for the 1st time last Friday during lunch hours via the drive thru. I ordered (2) Taco Supremes with Shredded Chicken, Chips & Queso. It was so incredibly delicious! The portions were fantastic and I will be returning .

I'm a Texan and this is as close to pure culturally correct food as you can get. I had the special and the flavors plus quality were amazing. The Horchata is homemade start to finish as is the Tres Leches. The amount of food you get for the costs presents an amazing value. I'd also say that if they cater this is who you want for an amazing change of pace. Highly recommend it AND they serve breakfast!

Amazing Birria and consome! I love this place! Very clean and friendly service. I won't go anywhere else in Sioux Falls other than Simon's when it comes to authentic Mexican flavor and quality. Gracias!!!

I was passing through after a long day traveling cross-country, and was recommended to come to Simon's by a local. The food was really good I would highly recommend the birria anything!! I had the chimichanga and it was great. Food came out fast and the restaurant was really clean. Staff were friendly and helpful! Would eat again!

Was in Sioux Falls for a night, and woke up hungry. After looking at some reviews and looking for some food online, I stumbled across Simon's Tacos. Too lazy to get out, I placed an order and had it delivered. Upon opening the container, I was surprised; burrito was massive! Seems these guys are really known for their birria, but I went with a California burrito. After the first bite, I was confident that I made the right choice by going with Simon's! The burrito itself was awesome! For the price, the quality and amount of food that you get is a great deal, even delivered these days! I also ordered a side of chips to supplement the 'rito, totally not needed as the burrito was huge. I will say though, chips are great too! Usually when I order chips, they arrive in a greasy bag and are kind of soggy. Not these! Bag is dry and the chips are crisp! All in all, totally recommend Simon's. I think now I have a go-to spot anytime my work brings me back to Sioux Falls!!!

Hands down best Birria Tacos north of Texas. The quality and care put into all the dishes has made me a customer for life. Service is always friendly, prices are on point for portion sizes and the atmosphere is clean and welcoming. If you're looking for 5 star restaurant at budget friendly prices there is no other place to go, Simon's Tacos. Theirs is a location on S. Louise and a second one on E. 10th. Both are exceptional.

My first two visits were great, the food was great and reasonably priced. However, the third visit was bad because the cashier was leaving the counter, but said she would be back in a couple minutes. After ten minutes we gave up and left. Last night I decided to give it another shot. I walked in at 9:40 (still open according to Google, the posted hours, and the flashing OPEN sign. However, the cashier said they were not taking any more orders. This most likely is my final visit, which is unfortunate because the food was good. However, the restaurant's business model of bad customer service is a turn-off.

WARNING! You will not believe you are in South Dakota! This place is an incredible value and absolutely delicious! Because of the price I thought the food was small..... NOPE!! it's huge and so insanely delicious! The service is friendly and makes you feel zero rush to order. The ambiance is very nice as well! Very clean restaurant! DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE!

The food is great. We always like the specials and Birria tacos. Not much ambiance but I did t expect much either.

The food was excellent, we had chicken taco combo and birria taco. There was a glitch in the pos and it took a bit to get our food paid for.

what you order and what they offer in the menu do not match. This is the second time this is happened. The Asada Burrito is LOADED with rice, beans and a small amount of steak. Here is the description from their listed menu: Asada Burrito Asada, beans, cheese, onions, cilantro when I called to question this, I was told that all of the online ordering menus were wrong. No cheese, onions or cilantro. Hmm. Disappointed Someone should update the menus with Doordash and online sites.

I consider myself a picky restaurant eater. There's nothing I despise more than seeing a restaurant serve food I can make better at home. When I walked into Simon Tacos, first thing I noticed was a sign stating it was family owned. Next thing I saw was a young child and teenager behind the counter working. All appeared to be Mexican. Right away I had high hopes for authentic Mexican cuisine and family recipes. We ordered tacos and the Birria Burrito. I can't even put into words how delicious the food was!! The Birria Burrito was hands down the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. Unbelievable!! I'll be back every week!! A must try place if you're in Sioux Falls

Once again I ordered Simons through DoorDash. Our order consisted of Birria Tacos, Street Fries, and a cup of Queso. The Birria Tacos with the Consimee was so flavorful and filling. Remember to add some of the red sauce they send with it to give it a perfect kick to Spiceville. Now the street fries ..omg the street fries were so amazing. You can never have just one bite. We could not stop munching on them. So tasty! That brings me to the Queso. It was a surprise to us it came in a tiny cup for the amount we paid for it. Well after the first bite, the price was no longer an issue. I will quote Guy Fieri "I could put this on a flip-flop and it would taste good." The only thing left to say about my second experience with Simons is the food here is FIRE and is must try. Keep it up Simons.

Food is great but pay cash. My credit card was charged twice (once for the meal and again with the tip). Only time I have eaten there. Not very friendly lady took my order. Was Feb, 2025. I live 7 hours away. When I got my credit card statement I discovered I was billed twice.

This is really nice small family-owned restaurant across from the mall right at the intersection of Louise & W 41st, easy to overlook & miss if you're not looking for it. Being that it's small, I wouldn't say it's ideal for large families unless you go on an off-hour & put some tables together. Also, if you're wanting full service (food & drinks brought out to you), this isn't the type of place you're looking for. But Simon does make some really good tacos! I had the Birria Tacos Combo. They were very flavorful, not too spicy, but gave enough of a kick to make it a nice comforting meal on a cold winter day. It was also nice of the owner to come out & ask me how my food was. Recommended, I'll be back!

This place has very tasty birria tacos!! Thats our favorite menu item. Its pretty much what we get everytime. The staff is always nice & friendly. Sometimes it takes a while to get your food, but your happy once u get your birria tacos.

Don't come here if your hungry!!! The lady at the desk told us that the wait would be 30 minutes. After about 50 minutes of waiting we walked back up to the girl and asked her for an eta on our food. She then proceeded to tell us that there was another order ahead of us and that they had just started to prepare our order. Save your money, save your time, the food was mid anyways

My dad and I went here for an easy dinner, and man! The food lived up to the hype. Great salsa, birria quesadilla, and birria tacos. The service is great -- simple number system where you pick up your food from the counter. Fast service too -- we got our food in less than 20 minutes. It's a simple place but ambience is perfect. Don't expect anything with frills, but tasty and cheap food! Support local!

Great spot! They had Baleadas on the menu and it had been years since I had one. Even though it was 3pm they gladly made one for me. Great spot to find on the road!

Yup. This spot was what I was wanting it to be. Quick service and spot on food. We had the chicken Birria tacos, the California Burrito (which was huge) and chips and queso. Only one, very small thing. I wish the chips were made fresh. Would have taken it from a 9.2 to 9.4.

Great spot. I'm glad I took the advice of the hotel clerk who directed me here when I asked for a local spot that was good. He wasn't kidding when he said that it was a must-visit place for someone new to town. I had the Texas Burrito. It was spectacular. I don't know the history of this place but I hope it's in business for a very long time. Thanks for a great meal.

Yum! Birria Burrito and Quesabirria to-go and both were hot and delish once we got home. A large cup of heavenly consume and 2 smaller containers of some great red and green sauces, all were so tasty! Our wait was short, the place was busy and clean and the self service area was clean and well- stocked. We'll surely be back! Thanks!

An absolutely wonderful restaurant! If you're hungry for some authentic Mexican food, I cannot recommend this place any better. I was an out of town her and I was greeted and treated with respect as I looked over their menu. The service was wonderful and 100 times more yummy than the Taco Bell next door.

One of the best taco shops I've ever had! Definitely a place to go if you're looking for authentic tacos and their rice, beans and queso is incredible!! The place is also VERY clean and the people working are really nice! Service was really quick and I can't wait to go back and try more items!!

Food was fresh and seasoned just right. I ordered ground beef tacos, refried beans, guacamole and chips. It was very tasty and I will be back when I travel back to SF.

Best food ever, if you are looking for something to eat. We went in late, and unlike other restaurants the food wasn't poorly prepare, it was amazing I encourage everyone to come here.

The food is always outstanding, the flavor is otherworldly. The steak tacos are the best I've ever had and it's not even close. Everything on the menu is better than any other Mexican restaurant in town. The services is always outstanding, all offering a cheaper price if you pay with cash. The employees are always extremely nice and helpful. The environment in the restaurant is amazing. Couldn't recommend it more!

Service is always terrible in person. For the second and last time I go in to make an order and no hi is said for two minutes from the person behind the counter, no nothing, they just keep working and don't acknowledge you. Never going back here. Walked out second and last time tonight what is wrong with your employees

This place is so good! We've tried it twice now via Doordash, and if it's this good as takeout, it has to be even better right in the restaurant! The shredded chicken flautas are my favorite! I really liked the birra and asada tacos as well! Absolutely recommend!

The real deal! Excellent service, very good food at reasonable prices. The burritos are huge and very good tasting. My wife had the sopes and it was delicious. Bring your family here for good Mexican food.

Excellent authentic Mexican food - skip Taco Bell next time and try Simon's, right next door. We got a ground beef taco (tasty), a pulled beef taco (ground beef was better), a cheesy, gooey quesadilla,and carne asada nachos - way better than Chevy's nachos, though the chips are quite salty. The red (spicy) hot sauce was flavorful and has a kick. Definitely a must-try.
