Casual eatery for a health-focused all-day menu of sandwiches & comfort food, plus a store.
"Health and wellness is Simply Wholesome's entire shtick. This grocery store in View Park-Windsor Hills has a restaurant in the back that does a mix of vegetarian and meat dishes, plus a drinks menu that goes 50+ smoothies deep. (Erewhon could never.) Pair your guava "thirst quencher" with lentil burgers, hard shell tacos stuffed with black-eyed peas, and blackened chicken that makes a good case for rebranding grilled breast as a star. If nothing else, get a Jamaican patty (or three) under the "small bites" section of the menu. They're consistently the best things available." - sylvio martins, brant cox

"Simply Wholesome is one of the most crowded spots in View Park-Windsor Hills. It’s a health food grocery store with a restaurant inside and a huge patio outside, where you can enjoy their smoothies, burgers, and vegetarian tacos. Those smoothies are the reason we’re here most often—they come out quickly and are packed with fresh fruit and sherbet, but if you’re having a full meal, their turkey burgers are your best bet. Not only are they tasty, they come with Simply Wholesome’s killer fries–somewhere between a thin fry and a steak fry, not to mention perfectly golden and crisp." - nikko duren, garrett snyder
"Unlike the final Hunger Games movie, Simply Wholesome is a two-parter we actually really like. Half-restaurant, half-health food market (and full-time Jhené Aiko muse), this popular View Park-Windsor Hills spot carries a comprehensive selection of wellness products like teas, herbs, and vitamins/dietary supplements, as well as hard-to-find natural beauty products, healthy snack foods, and tasty tonics—many of which are made by independent black-owned companies." - Brant Cox, Sylvio Martins, Kat Hong
"The menu at Simply Wholesome has gone through many changes since 1992, but consistently makes it possible for varying tastes to get a good meal. With options like the Jamaican spinach patty, omelets, and a regular rotation of vegetarian soups, there’s something for everyone at this longstanding business in View Park/Windsor Hills." - Virali_Dave, Eater Staff
