Where to Eat in London | All the Best Restaurants for the Weekend | Eater London

"Tucked at the back of the Shopping Palace on Fulham’s North End Road, this bijou Korean spot has hand-painted murals of wheat threshing on the walls and a compact kitchen that produces serious no-frills cooking — the beer is cold and the dumplings are hot." - Eater Staff

Where to Eat in London This Weekend | London Restaurant Recommendations | Eater London

"Tucked into a corner of a Fulham shopping arcade, this bijou Korean spot pairs a compact, no-frills kitchen with playful, mural‑plastered interiors and a K‑pop soundtrack. Expect cold beer and hot, well-executed dumplings — the deep‑fried galbi mandu are standout crescents bursting with a ground‑beef filling reminiscent of a good gastropub burger. The dolsot bibimbap arrives in a sizzling stone pot that delivers pockets of scorched rice, tender brackish beef and crisp diced bean sprouts, cucumber and carrot for textural balance, the gentle sizzle adding an ASMR finish to the meal." - Feroz Gajia

One of the best iif not the best lunch deal on NER. This take away bibimbap costs £7.90. It comes with white rice, a fried egg, spinach, courgette, carrots, beansprouts, mushrooms, chicken (there are other meat and non-meat options) and gochujang (a Korean spicy paste to mix in). The dine in option costs £9.90.

I have eaten here several times and enjoyed all of the food tried. Low key and small place, but the best Korean food I've had in London. Authentic vibes and flavours, just one guy running the whole place. I have no idea how he can rustle up such tasty food this quickly.

The owner was so nice to everyone and he managed to do all the cooking, serving, cashing up bills, the food (Japchae, Mandu, Budae-jjigae) was bringing me back to Korea and it’s really nice and enjoy the meal so much!

Google
I tried this place as it was closer to my apartment and had so many great reviews and honestly I think they all are right. I had what they all suggested and it was amazing, if I had place for more I would order another round of the same dish which was the BEEF BIBIMBAP. I’m more of a spicy food person but you definitely need to try it and just the way it comes.

Google
One of the best local Korean places. The sitting area itself is a bit small, as there are just a few tables, but it just makes it feel more homely. I would definitely recommend a bibimbap or one of the stews, as they are very good in flavour and qty. Otherwise do a delivery, as he cooks everything on order, so it's as fresh as it can be

Really delicious lunch here with the kids. Bit of a hole in the wall, hard to find as it’s within a little gallery of shops, but we managed and found a table. The man who cooks also owns and serves, so kudos to him for getting food served so quickly! Really enjoyed the fried rice (non spicy and kimchi), fried udon and pa jeon. Everything served hot and fresh, and all polished off in no time. So glad we found this place and made the walk from the BBC Earth Experience show!

Google

Google
Delicious and authentic Korean food. The dine-in area is very limited (about 10 seats) so be aware. We were lucky to get a table, and the group after us were lucky we were heading out. They are constantly busy (lots of take out orders), but they provided us with good friendly service.

Yelp
진짜 평같은거 잘 안쓰는데요. 여기 쉐프오너분이 진짜 한국 요리 잘 하시네요. 우연히 찾아들어갔는데요. 다른 유명 한국 식당들 가지 마시고 이리로 가보세요.

Yelp
First introduction to 'authentic' Korean food in this cosy venue. Space for 10-12 people at any time. Not a huge menu but the food was freshly prepared, tasty and with good portions. Not easy to find unless they have improved the signage from the street. It is just down a little corridor off the main street. There was a queue waiting, so guess it is popular a certain times. May need to find bigger premises soon!

Yelp
Tucked away inside a small shopping in West Kensington, this place serves generous well cooked Korean food. It could improve on the quality of meat they are using but that's me being picky! My friend and I shared fried chicken gyoza. Good but don't think it was home made. Then we had Japchae not the best one Ive had but still tasty. We also had kimchi (as good as any) and a beef bulgogi with cheese (not traditional or even Korean but surprisingly tasty). While I wouldn't go out of my way to go there I woudlnt mind going back if in the area again. Oh I did like the Kpop playing in the background PS I would have rate this 3.5 stars if I could

Yelp
Stumbled upon this hidden gem my first day back in London. The atmosphere is small quaint and intimate. The food is absolutely AMAZING. I started with the chicken dumplings and they were SO GOOD. I'm actually craving them now as i type this lol. I had the Korean BBQ chicken (medium spicy) as an entree. They also offer great discounts. Take-out is 10% off and Tuesday all food is 20% off. Great food, great value, great restaurant!

Yelp
I've had Korean food at a number of different places and Simya was the best I've ever had so far. I ordered a Tofu Bibimbap and homemade kimchi, both of which were fantastic and tasted very authentic; a lot more than some of the other places I'd been before. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the menu was simple albeit lacking explanations of certain dishes, and the place itself was small with limited seating but quite cosy. On the there was not much variety, but they did have the mainstream highlights of Korean food such as kimchi pancakes, bibimbap, Doenjang-jjigae (soy bean soup), Korean BBQ, sharing platters etc. They also had a some Japanese dishes including Omuraisu (omelette with fried rice), edamame, tempura, chicken katsu, udon noodles and gyoza. The desserts are limited to matcha ice cream, coconut ice-cream and a kids ice cream dessert. The price was reasonable with most things under £10, however they do add service charge to the bill (we were only 2 people) of 10% regardless of the number of people. Overall: Authentic and inexpensive Korean food in a cozy little restaurant only a few minutes from West Brompton station. Food: 5/5 Alcohol: 2/5 (very limited) Variety: 3/5 Service: 5/5 Price:4.5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Seating: 3/5

Yelp
Good service. Very good to fill Korean craving. Nice location. Short rib good but different from us without marinade. Enough gochuhang and then very happy. Kimchee fried rice nice and spicy. Kimchee jigae good

Yelp
Great Korean food. Great atmosphere, feels like an authentic Korean place. This was the first time I was having Korean food and the waiter and the chef came to our table, helped us order, and advised us on what and how to eat.

Yelp
Holes in the wall are often the best. This tight, efficient environment is always filled with amazing smells, diligent staff and tasty Korean dishes. I've had the classic Bibimpab and the TukPoKee (top it with cheese!), an instant favorite.

Chris L.

Yelp
No side dishes. Separate charges for rice and lettuce. Wait staff not knowledgeable about Korean food. Tofu stew bland.

Yelp
It is a very good restaurant and the food and workers there are very nice. Yes it is small and they could make the food faster so u don't have to wait but otherwise I would highly recommend it.
