Top notch service! Our server was very friendly and very helpful when we were asking about cocktails (note they have a full, proper bar). The fried rice was pretty good I wish it was a bit hotter. The steak was pretty much what I expected for this type of restaurant. Veggies and squid were excellent but the basil clams seemed like it was just a bowl of empty shells. We really liked the vibe of this place, nice decor.

Food is 3/5 for the taste/price but service is solid 5/5. The staff were very friendly and incredibly responsive. But I felt the food quality dampened the experience, and I expected much more given the high prices. We ordered: 1) 高丽菜 (stir fried lettuce): 2/5 Lacked fragrance or wok taste 2) 流沙包 (taro balls with creamy egg yolk filling): 5/5 The black shell looked intimidating but had a very crunchy texture. Inner filling was very tasty. 3) 猪排蛋炒饭 (egg fried rice with pork chop): 3/5 I would prefer Ding Tai Fung over this. The egg fried rice is marginally better here but the pork chop is very thick and chewy - I didnt enjoy the meat at all. 4) 鲈鱼 (seabass): 5/5 One of the more enjoyable dishes for sure. Sauce is very tasty with the fish. 5) 鸡汤 (chicken soup that came in a teapot): 2/5 One of the stronger chicken broths Ive had that came in a teapot. Tasted a little like 鸡精, which I can get at a much cheaper price. Not a fan. 6) Duck leg (鸭腿): 1/5 This is the worst roast duck Ive had. First time in my life that Ive seen roast duck being so disturbingly bloody. There was nothing tasty about this dish either. 7) Chocolate cake roll with assam filling: 5/5 The cream with notes of assam tea wowed me immensely. I greatly enjoyed the cream with the chocolate cake.

Mullet Roe Fried Rice with Sear Scallops ($560): The scallops on the top were quite chewy and juicy. The rice was pinkish and had incredible texture and outstanding taste along with the mullet roe. In my opinion, this was definitely the best fried rice I’d had of this year (2024). Moreover, they did meet my demands for not putting vegetables like onions or cabbage. Roselle and Lime Fizz ($180): You need to stir first because most of them syrups are on the bottom. After that, it tasted fairly sweet, sour and delightful. The great amount of the premium roselle syrups really made it stand out more. In conclusion, the prices were unaffordable for most people but both the drink and the fried rice were definitely on the next level. The restaurant had a luxurious interior with a bar. The service was quite fast. Overall, it’s definitely a 10 out of 10! FYI, 10% service charge is included in your bill.

Fried rice and pork was excellent. Tara balls and chicken soup wasn’t my favorite. Overall it was a good experience.

Service was excellent. Everything on the menu looked great. I ordered their signature dishes. The fried rice with mullet roe and seared scallops was really good, especially the scallops. The kungfu chicken soup was surprisingly flavorful, though there was a slightly strong aftertaste towards the end. The smoked squid came highly recommended by other reviews here, but I wasn’t a fan of the smokiness.

One of the nicer restaurant we went in Taipei. Heard that the fried rice was quite good so we decided to try. Had the smoked duck fried rice, and soft shell crab, and other recommended dishes by the restaurant. It's better to reserve before coming as there can be a crowd during lunch time. Overall, quite good! Do drop by if you're in the vicinity.

We were surprised with the creativity in the cuisine as Taiwanese locals. Authentic fusion Taiwanese dishes, local ingredients plus steakhouse highlights, provides a layered tasting experience. Worth a try if you r visiting the area.
