The Most Beautiful Restaurants in the East Bay | Eater SF

"Trust local superstar ROY Design to create a Mediterranean oasis of natural wood and terrazzo calm in the middle of a bustling outdoor shopping mall. Located at Walnut Creek’s open-air Broadway Plaza, Sipeos churns crispy flatbreads, tasty dips, filling rice bowls, and barely-sweet soft serve amidst a neutral color palette that’s instantly soothing." - Flora Tsapovsky

The Best New Restaurants in Oakland, Berkeley, and the East Bay | Eater SF

"Mediterranean food pairs with nonalcoholic and low-ABV drinks at this new Walnut Creek bar and restaurant. Led by Dhruma and Hetal Shah of the e-commerce brand of the same name — specializing in selling nonalcoholic beer, wine, and spirits — this space is the IRL manifestation of their ambitions to make dining out and drinking more inclusive to the sober (and sober-curious) crowds. Order a mezze plate to share, if you’re in a group, and sample dips such as the charred eggplant or the roasted red pepper romesco alongside sips of excellent drinks such as the pomegranate and pink peppercorn-flavored Pepper Shandy." - Dianne de Guzman

Sipeos’s Cafe & Bar Opens Soon in Walnut Creek With Inclusive Food and Nonalcoholic or Low ABV Cocktail Menu | Eater SF

"Founded by Dhruma and Hetal Shah after they launched an e-commerce brand selling nonalcoholic beer, wine, and spirits, the project brings "health-forward choices" to the forefront with a Mediterranean menu and drinks composed of nonalcoholic and low-ABV options, beer, and wine — a chance to be inclusive to all, the Shahs say. "It all revolves around helping people feel included in these social settings, especially those that abstain from drinking alcohol," Hetal Shah says. "I think the majority of those that have tried NA beverages enjoy them, giving them another alternative to participate. And so we were super excited, based on the feedback we got from friends and family and co-workers that were like, 'Let's figure out how we can raise awareness and accessibility to these beverages.'" The Shahs, well-versed in e-commerce and tech (Dhruma in biotech; Hetal previously at Postmates, Uber, and eBay), moved into hospitality with connections to Roy Hospitality and drink consulting from West Bev. Diners can expect a mix of salads and dips, plus a selection of skewers, pinsa flatbread pizzas, and more — nosh on beet hummus dip with flatbread or slathered eggplant skewers and pair those dishes with drinks from the bar menu. Some nonalcoholic offerings mimic classic cocktails, such as a Negroni made with a nonalcoholic spirit alternative and "tastes just as good," Hetal says. Other drinks are new — and low-ABV if diners prefer — such as the pepper shandy made with a pomegranate-pink peppercorn syrup with beer and lemon on top, served in a pilsner glass. "There’s a movement in the NA industry to change terminology, to rebrand these beverages from mocktails — which is what most people call them — to adult NA beverages," Hetal says. "We’re excited about that, and we’re always helping people learn that these are not mocktails. They’re not juice-based, they don’t have the sugar content that most mocktails do, that you can find at most restaurants." The concept is framed as a space for those who are sober or sober-curious — or anyone who enjoys a great drink. "The whole point of the NA beverage menu is to show people that you don’t have to have sugary mocktails," Dhruma says. "It’s about utilizing NA spirit alternatives to create creative new drinks. Not just your regular margaritas and your gin and tonics and things like that, but creative drinks, that feel like adult beverages." Located at 126 Broadway Lane in Walnut Creek, it debuts on Saturday, November 30, and will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week." - Brenna Houck

Sipeos is a vegetarian Mediterranean gem! Every dish is bursting with authentic flavors and creative twists that make the food truly memorable. Their non-alcoholic cocktails are exceptional — refreshing, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully crafted. The ambiance is warm and modern, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. A perfect spot for anyone who loves flavorful, wholesome, and beautifully presented vegetarian cuisine! To top it all off the hosts / owners were present at the restaurant and spoke to each table individually to get feedback. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff and host made it special by surprising us with a personalized card and birthday dessert. Lovely place for a wonderful evening !!

I don't eat out too much and when I do I enjoy supporting smaller vegan and vegetarian places. The occasion presented itself when my dad had a family visit day at his workplace in Walnut Creek, and during our visit there my mom and I decided to have lunch with him at a vegetarian/ vegan place. After quickly searching in happycow, I found Sepios vegetarian and Roasted vegan restaurants at or near downtown Walnut Creek with very different but excellent menus. I was in the mood for pizza and others in my family wanted soup. The varied Mediterranean dishes at Sipeos won my family and I over. We reserved a slot through Sepios' system but I came there earlier and parked at the nearby parking garage (free for 3 hours). Getting there early was not a problem as there was plenty of seating. The serving staff there, (I believe her name is Sophie, but my sincere apologies if I got it wrong), was super sweet and helped us out all throughout including explaining the options in a very understandable way. We all got the unique mango based gazpacho, which the serving lady explained would be spicy and sweet, and which we found super delicious. The small flatbread plate with dips and veggies also helped whet our appetite. The roasted red bell pepper based dip was especially flavorful and I would highly recommend. Then we got the vegan versions of cauliflower shawarma pizza, the eggplant honey pizza, and the cauliflower skewers with rice and harrisa side (which was spicy exactly as described). All of them were super tasty. The vegan version of pistachio cream cheese dessert was a delicious ending to our visit. There were other delicious options including soft serve which I had to shelve for a next visit. My compliments to the chef and his team there for the timely and wonderful preparation of the meals catering to vegan options. We also got a chance to meet one of the owners, Hetal, which was super nice. We had a nice conversation about his and his partner's core reason behind the Sepios name of the restaurant and he exemplified this by sharing the non alcoholic very low sugar or sugar free drinks collection he had in stock and allowing us to sample one of them, the Rosé. Thank you Sipeos (Hetal and team) for the great lunch experience. Best wishes for your business and I hope to come here in the future. Tip: you can use your toast account to earn reward points and redeem them for future visits. P.S. I added this review on yelp and happycow as well.

What an incredible addition to the local dining scene! This new restaurant truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and top-notch service. The drink menu is phenomenal—whether you’re in the mood for a creative non-alcoholic option or a perfectly crafted cocktail, they’ve got you covered. Every drink we tried was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The food was absolutely superb. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, full of rich, layered flavors, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. You can tell the kitchen puts great care into every plate. Special thanks to our server, Neeley, who made our experience even more enjoyable. He was extremely knowledgeable, attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely passionate about the menu. His recommendations were spot-on, and his warm personality made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for exceptional food, outstanding drinks, and first-class service, this is the place. We can’t wait to come back!

This vegetarian restaurant offers a limited but intriguing menu. Each dish was prepared with fresh and delectable ingredients. I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service and attentive care provided by the staff.

Took a drive of over 1.5 hours to finally try this new concept restaurant after almost 9months of it being open! We should have come here a lot sooner! We were not sure of what to expect but had heard rave reviews from friends and patrons. Sipeos is a Mediterranean restaurant that is vegetarian with vegan and gluten free options. As you walk to the entrance, you pass through the elegant and modern outside dining patio. The large glass doors are welcoming and you are greeted by the host who searches up your reservation, if you have one, or takes you to the table. The staff is very welcoming and friendly and the service is excellent. They are always watching to make sure the water is full and if you need anything during your dining experience. We really lucked as both owners happen to be there and we were able to get the backstory about the concept. We asked for popular recommendations and so we started off with the large Mezze platter, complete with tasty flatbread squares served with green olives, veggies and 3 dips (eggplant similar to baba ganoush, a tasty red pepper, and an amazing whipped feta dip). What an incredible way to start off the evening. The cocktails we had to start with were the Modest Adonis, Salted Pineapple, Cherry Sherry, and the Citrine, which was a zero-proof cocktail. I have to say, the drinks were mixed to perfection and I enjoyed these much more than my regular go to counterparts at restaurants. The old-fashioned is a perfect replacement to those served elsewhere, with low alcohol! Still could not believe what I was drinking. Then we moved onto the gazpachos. These were three of the most unique and delicious cold soups I have ever had! The mango was sweet and spicy at the same time and the tomatillo one added a soothing relief to the zing from the mango gazpacho. On to the flatbreads! Under the Tuscan Sun was delicious. I would have never thought of having cannellini beans on a pizza, but wow, especially with the accompaniments of the roasted garlic, arugula and the vinaigrette!! The white truffle oil put the dish over the top! The other flatbread was the shawarma cauliflower. What an amazing way to have a veggie pizza. I know ethnic pizzas are a rave right now, and this ranks up near the top. Finally, we had the Impossible Kefta skewers. A perfectly seasoned creation served with flavored rice, chimichurri sauce, feta and pickled cucumbers/onions/tomatoes. Don't leave if you are stuffed. You must try the Mediterranean Cocoa Mousse and the Dubai Chocolate Ice Cream. A perfect ending to an incredible dining experience! A big thank you to the wonderful owners who were able to chat with us and tell us their story. We will definitely be back!

Google
I love the fusion of California/ Mediterranean Food. The food is very fresh, which leads to it's superior taste. There are options for every palate from a simple Pizza to Braised Beet Fattoush-fish. The bar is next level, especially with is extensive options of low alcohol/ wine/beer to the same options for non-alcohol. Of course they also alcohol options.

This place is fantastic! The service and the food really shine. The food is all vegetarian with different offerings such as dips, bowls, pizzas, and salads. The food is very flavorful and great for a light meal that fills you up without leaving you feeling too stuffed. The service is also excellent!

Absolutely loved my experience at Sipeos Restaurant in Walnut Creek! From the moment you walk in, the ambience is warm, inviting, and full of charm—perfect for a cozy night out or a special gathering. The food is nothing short of amazing—flavorful, authentic, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was a standout, clearly made with care and passion. The service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuine. The staff made us feel welcome and added to the overall experience. Sipeos is truly a gem in Walnut Creek. If you're looking for a spot with great vibes, delicious authentic cuisine, and top-notch service, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend exploring their menu—you won’t be disappointed!

Yelp
Modern contemporary decor. Smaller dining room but bigger outdoor dining space. Welcomed with a warm and friendly smile. Seated promptly. Took a bit too long for the server to come to my table, but that bought me time to develop my list of questions. Almost all of the menu can be modified vegan. And most items are gluten free too. The eggplant carpaccio (vegan modified) was my fav dish. The pesto and vegan feta are both perfect touches to the dish. And the eggplant slices are thicker than a traditional carpaccio slice, which is what I was looking for. The citrus and fennel salad was excellent. The lettuce is almost shaved. The grapefruit segments zingy and the avocado and fennel slices abundant. The black and white bean beet burger patty (vegan modified) is off the charts. Nice, thick and dense. Held together well. The vegan ranch is ideal for those who like dill . The pickles are delish. I did not care for the baked potato chips, they were drenched in oil. If they were dry I'd probably enjoy the crunch. The pistachio cheesecake (vegan) is the best vegan cheesecake I've ever had. It's so reminiscent of traditional cheesecake I'm still questioning in my head how it's vegan. It's got that perfect "sour-ish zing that mimics cream cheese. Almost has a touch of lime essence or zest. And surprise, the center has a layer of pistachios hidden in it. Overall, I was very pleased and I'm very much looking forward to returning. Thank you Sipeos! I'm a lifer

Yelp
Located in Broadway Plaza between True Food Kitchen and Macy's. Loved the clean and modern decor! Service was friendly and helpful with recommendations. It was refreshing to see healthy food options and options for non alcoholic drinks like Honey Bee ($14). I'd highly recommend their mezze plate! I'm sure all their dips are good but I loved the hummus, whipped feta, and charred eggplant dips as recommended by our waitress. I also recommend the pesto eggplant and hot honey pinsa flatbread ($22)! Delicious and great for sharing. Minus one star because they don't have a restroom inside and made us go to the restaurant next door to use theirs.

Yelp
Such a cute restaurant and you wouldn't even know it's vegetarian. The food was so flavorful and had many options. Super cute outdoor and indoor seating area and great recommendations by the servers. Their drinks were perfect for a light pick me up and it wasn't too steep in price. Would definitely come here again.

Yelp
I want to first off compliment Kaitlyn M for her wonderful review bc it was the reason I decided to go to Sipeos! I was in town for a wedding and a day early, and found it on yelp. I'm really glad I went! I was solo, and saw other solo ladies enjoying their meal which made more comfortable tbh. I initially sat outside but as it got colder, requested to be moved inside and was accommodated very quickly. It was warmer inside with dimmer lighting which provided a cozy feel. Service was fantastic! I unfortunately didn't get the names but one lady who provided a lot of recommendations on the menu (very enthusiastically too!) and a newer lady who had just started recently. Both were prompt and very helpful. I LOVE the amount of non- or low-alcoholic cocktails and I think they display a lot of range and creativity - I wish I lived closer bc this would be a case where I'd want to try every drink! I personally liked the pepper shandy the most (100% would recommend for anyone who likes shandies) but has some difficulty with the cherry sherry Cherie (I'm typically a person who enjoys cherry flavors when others think that the same item tastes like cough syrup, but even this one tastes like cough syrup to me). For food, I went with the server's recommendation and got a small mezze plate with the whipped feta and the beets, and pesto eggplant and hot honey pizza and had more than enough for leftovers and a delicious meal later in the weekend! Whipped feta was out of this world!!! The beets dip shined a little less but provided a nice contrast to the richness of the feta. I also enjoyed adding a bit of that whipped feta on top of the pizza which was just as good! Again... very sad I do not live closer, but whenever I'm in town again, I will definitely stop again at Sipeos!

Yelp
To be completely honest, I was flabbergasted when I realized I hadn't yet reviewed Sipeos. Then it became overwhelming to start the review because I could write a book on everything I love about this place! My boyfriend and I moved back to the Bay Area about a year ago. Sipeo's was our first date night spot, and little did we know how special it would be for us. He is a meat eater, but adventurous and willing to try things, and I am vegetarian. Sipeo's is so good that unlike other places where we know it's more of a "me" place, we both often forget that it is a vegetarian restaurant. It has turned into an almost weekly, sometimes multiple times a week outing for us. I feel a personal connection to the business for multiple reasons, one of which seeing the way they have grown from the beginning when we first moved and they first opened their doors. We've seen them go through struggles, seen them change the way they do things multiple times, and most importantly seen a huge influx of customers as people recognize what an incredible restaurant this is. I've been rooting for them since the start, and I am so proud of what Sipeo's has become. Our first visits we got to talk to the workers and even the owner, and you can tell how passionate they all are, which is rare and heartwarming. Finally on to the food, you can't go wrong with anything. We always get a large mezze platter to start our meal off with fresh vegetables and incredible dips. Our favorites are the romesco and the beets, but you can't go wrong with any of them. It's why we always get the large! The under the tuscan sun pizza is our favorite pizza hands down. I was surprised to hear a waiter list off the most popular to another customer the other day and didn't hear it make the list. I've never had anything else like it, and the flavor is fantastic. The impossible kefta skewers are delicious and moist, which is hard to find for imitation meat. I love the convenience and ease of eating out and getting to try new flavors I can't make at home, but especially when not eating meat my options are quite limited, and usually very unhealthy. The fact that I can get protein here, vegetables, and not have everything served in a vat of oil is what will keep me coming back again and again. Paired with the incredible service of course. If I was to point out any faults, the wine here is extremely pricey, and it does make me sad that I've seen the portions get a little smaller as time progresses and customers increase. But again, as someone who comes weekly, there are bound to be off days as well. I sound like I'm also an employee, but we are just extremely loyal customers who have been with this business since the beginning. I am so happy to see a healthy, vegetarian place do so well. It truly warms my heart. I've introduced all of my friends and family to here, and come here more often than most people eat out at all restaurants combined, so I think it's safe to say I am their number one fan. The positive reviews are all for great reason, go give them a try!

Yelp
We loved the flatbreads here! Service is really great even with our short interaction when we ordered for pick up. Everyone on walking in was so incredibly inviting and they even gave us a 20% discount just because it was our first time here. We ordered the cauliflower shawarma flatbread/pizza which was SO delicious - it was loaded with healthy vegetables toppings and I loved the freshness of the cilantro and blast of savory flavor. I also ordered the kale salad, I liked the amount of olives they put and the hummus that was added.

Yelp
I've been to Sipeos twice, and it has become my favorite vegetarian restaurant since my first visit. We are in love with the whipped feta! I didn't think I was a feta liking gal until I went to Sipeos. The service is so fantastically friendly and knowledgeable! I love the vibe and healthy options. I didn't think I would love an eggplant pizza, but now I do! My daughter loves the red pepper dip. Even the hot teas are super delicious!! I love Sipeos!!

Yelp
I was just here on July 5th to celebrate my younger sister's 22nd birthday. It was a party including me, my younger and older sister, my younger sister's best friend and his male friend, two cousins with their partners, another cousin and my niece from my mom's side, which came down to a party of 11. After arriving, I saw that they started off with the large mezze plate. Then, later on, we ordered our meals. I got the impossible kefta skewer plate with chimichurri and flatbread and a glass of Joyus sparkling rosé, a nonalcoholic wine Service was excellent, servers were stellar! And to end the dinner, my sister got a soft serve ice cream and of course, we sang happy birthday to my younger sister. Overall, the experience here was amazing. I will come back here for sure. :)

Yelp
Amazing venue within a shopping district. Prompt service. Food was beautiful and tasteful. My cousin was looking for a dessert which was consistently sold out. We shared our experience with the owner too.

Yelp
Sipeos began as a nonalcoholic beverage vendor, but has now turned into a cafe & bar offering vegan Mediterranean food (along with an extensive drinks menu). To start, the Mezze Plate came with slices of thin, chewy, crispy flatbread; olives; crudite; and a choice of three dips, and I tried the thick Tuscan white bean hummus, the funky and creamy whipped (vegan) feta, and my favorite, the nutty and smokey roasted red pepper Romesco (made with almonds, garlic, sherry, and paprika). While all the dips were tasty, my favorite dish was the Impossible Kefta skewer plate, which featured a skewer of five perfectly crusty Impossible beef balls mixed with Moroccan spices, onions, and mint. The perfectly spiced kefta went nicely with the accompaniments including vegan feta, flatbread, harissa (spicy pepper paste), and salad of chopped cucumbers/tomatoes/onions. Overall, the food here was all creative and beautifully-presented, though the menu items seemed to cleverly recycle the same ingredients in many different dishes. The service was super friendly, and the setting made for a nice place for a casual meal.

Yelp
Tucked away in Walnut Creek is a newly-opened hidden gem. I came here with my parents who really appreciated their extensive non-abv cocktail menu as non-drinkers. The menu featured an extensive list of plant-based Mediterranean foods, which was perfect for my vegetarian parents. My personal favorite bite of the night was the Under the Tuscan Sun flatbread. It was an incredible creamy, truffley, garlicky experience! The shawarma seasoned cauliflower platter was a hit too. Both dishes were fresh, light, and well-seasoned. The Cosmopolita-no is also a must-get. The raspberry and elderflower notes were so balanced that I didn't miss the alcohol at all! I will be back to try the rest of their drinks and flatbreads :)

Yelp
Beautiful place and refreshing menu & concept overall, but not quite there for me yet. The hubby and I met up some friends here, and were pleasantly surprised by how satisfied we were without meat...for the moment, but after a few minutes we def. felt like something was missing. Mind you, we are not vegetarians in any way, but can appreciate really tasty and fresh veggies if fulfilling (+ sufficing the price). We had made reservations and were seated immediately - service was quick and efficient overall with a very relaxed atmosphere, which we appreciated. Menu had a variety of apps, salads, and pizzas (but more so flatbreads, not a true pizza). While alchy was wine, beer, and low abv cocktails so pretty much (& sadly) the same content as beer/wine. Let's Dig In: (1) Pinsa Pizza (Flatbreads) - we had the pesto and the margherita; both were simple/tasty but the crust def. could've been more crisp. (2) Cauliflower Skewers - this was really tasty! the Cauliflower was charred and had great flavor ++ potatoes, flatbread/hummus, & salad all worked well together for a composed dish. (3) Salad - this was refreshing and fair; some of the veggies def. needed to be chopped smaller + also lacked a crunchy texture (crouton/etc.) - but the dressing was light and tasty. (4) Hummus board - this was tasty and one of the better dishes. Loved all the dips with different toppings and flavors; also appreciated the different variety of dipping vessels that added freshness, texture, and or substance. Overall we felt it was a bit much for vegetarian style food - love the concept, but dishes need bit more tweaking. Can't say I'd go out of my way to walnut creek again for this place, but if around the area - I may stop by for a light lunch.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this restaurant when walking around broadway plaza. Didn't realize that it was a vegetarian restaurant until after we placed our order! Being a hot day, we decided to sit inside. The restaurant is pretty chic and clean. They don't have a restroom but the staff mentioned that True Food Kitchen will allow Sipeos guests to use their restrooms. The staff were very courteous. Very alert on what was needed. They were prompt on refilling our water and taking out empty dishes. They made the dining experience great. We ordered a small mezze to start. The whipped feta was surprisingly good. Romesco dip was great too. Next was Pesto eggplant and hot honey pinsa pizza. This was good too. The hot honey is always a good surprise on bread. Finally, we had the shawarma seasoned cauliflower skewer. This was ok. Overall great experience.

Yelp
Such a hip spot - clean, neutral and modern looking. The menu is limited with all dishes featuring similar ingredients, but you know what? They are delicious. They have low ABV mocktails, but I went with a tea. While the bar looked pretty lovely to sit at, my friend and I nested at a table. We split a bunch of different items, all healthy and delicious. That whipped feta is where it's at. I could eat it by the spoonful, but would never, because that fresh pita is absolute delicious. Where things went up a notch: the pesto eggplant and hot honey pinsa. Filling, but light at the same time. It was the best thing I ate that day. Overall, the menu is limited, but everything is seemingly delicious and made with intention and health. I'd 100% recommend for a nice lunch out!

Yelp
Sipio was a pleasant surprise! It was extremely clean and cute inside, I love the ambience, and it gave a cozy yet modern feel. I went with a group of friends, and we got the large Mezza plate that came with three dips, vegetables, pita, and other assortments. We also got the pesto eggplant and hot honey pizza as well as the impossible kefta -- everything was really good and fresh, I love little appetizers/tapas so this is right up my alley! For drinks, I tried the salted pineapple which reminded me of a Chinese salted plum drink, and it had tamarind undertones. One thing to note is that they don't have hard alcohol here and make their drinks with low ABV alcohol which is a really nice touch. Keep in mind that they cannot substitute anything as the drinks are pre-batched.

Yelp
Charming small restaurant that gets sunlight, creating a warm atmosphere. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. It's a vegetarian Mediterranean fusion spot. Recommend making a reservation during peak dinner hours, as it fills up quickly. We started with the hummus and bread plate -- so good, we ordered two extra rounds of bread! The margarita pizza and roasted cauliflower were also tasty and well-prepared. A great spot for a relaxed meal with quality vegetarian options.

Yelp
We had such a lovely time eating outside at Sipeos. The food was really delicious. I love the creamy feta sauce in the large mezze platter. The waitress was really nice, but it would've been nice if she had come outside more often to bring water because it was a hot day, but I still would say it was a great place.

Yelp
Sipeos Café & Bar just opened in Walnut Creek and we loved our experience! Located between True Food and Macy's, kitty-corner to the Broadway Plaza Starbucks, Sipeos boasts a very comfortable amount of outside seating and heat lamps, so our table was warm and cozy during our meal. After perusing their menu we ordered a Tahini in a Bottle and a Marti-No as well as the Impossible Kefta (with a Zhug dip add on) and a large Mezze plate, opting for the whipped feta, eggplant, and hummus dips. We both adored the Tahini in a Bottle, which came with a large square block of ice and a twist of orange, but I found the Marti-No a bit too chocolatey for me, although the honey who adores dark chocolate loved it. Food wise, their amazing whipped feta was both the honey's and my favorite dip hands down. It brought to mind Ayran, while having a more nuanced and full bodied flavor profile that really stole the show. I loved their choice to include some mouthwatering small green olives and the veggies paired very well with the hummus and eggplant. The flatbread was fluffy and fresh, and went perfectly with the dips and the honey enjoyed the Impossible Kefta, with the Zhug pesto add on probably being our second favorite dip of the visit. Overall, the service was amazing and prompt and we will absolutely be returning to Sipeos to try more of their fantastic cocktails and food!

Yelp
First time to visit Sipeos and not our last. What interested us with this restaurant was the non-alcoholic drink selection (non-alc cocktails, wine and beer) and the simple food menu. Although the menu was simple, the flavors really shined with their ingredients. Upon walking in, their interior design felt fresh, modern, clean and bright. Highlights from our meal were the dips from the Mezze appetizer - whipped Feta and Romesco, Tuscan Sun pinsa and the Tart Yogurt with the Turkish delight (rose & pistachio) toppings. Happy to find a good local Mediterranean restaurant, can't wait to come back. A must try spot!

Yelp
Delicious food and clean nicely styled interior and patio environment. The server was helpful and let us know what is vegan. My one criticism is that the they don't have vegan stuff clearly labeled on the menu - we orders the cauliflower dish and it came with feta cheese they have a vegan feta but it's not the default. Another item on the menu has yogurt in it - so it's a little unclear what is vegan and what can be made vegan but you have to ask. They are vegetarian forward with their food and low or no alcohol. We got root beer and elderflower lemonade both delicious.

Yelp
Stopped by here over the weekend around dinner time to try out their mocktails and was well greeted and was able to be seated right away. Love the aesthetics of this location. Perfect place to get a quick drink or something to eat while shopping. We ordered a Tangerine Toddy and a Pica Pica to drink and ordered a small mezzo plate. You are able to pick which dips you would like to try, and we chose the whipped feta and charred eggplant. The Tangerine Toddy is a warm spiced drink, perfect for the cold weather. It had a bit of a zing to it which is refreshing The Pica Pica had a good kick to it - sweet with a nice spiced gingery after taste. The whipped feta was delicious. I was very surprised how good it tasted and the chili oil was subtle and did not over power the flavor . The charred eggplant was my favorite and I'm not a huge eggplant fan. It was well seasoned and the dip was very light and packed with flavor. Will be returning in the future to try out other delicious items on the menu

Yelp
My friend and I went there for a bar experience but also had a food experience. First, it is located in the heart of Walnut Creek's Broadway Plaza next to Macy's. It is easy to find and has a great location. The service, food, and drinks are excellent--except that the only downside is that the restroom is unavailable inside the restaurant. As for drinks, we specifically went in for non-alcoholic beverages and ordered Pepper Shandy (non-alc), Dirty Bird (low-alc), and Cab Sauv (non-alc). Pepper Shandy was excellent. It would have been great if they could make this as a low-alc option, which I would love to try, too. Dirty Bird felt a bit strong for low-alc, but this could be from the olives, and the non-alc Cab Sauv was a pleasant surprise. We weren't hungry, but we still ordered a Small Mezze Plate with gastric braised Beets and Charred Eggplant Hummus, which were amazing. However, it would have been better if they had some nuts, veggies, and dips for drinkers because we were full after the meal, and the portions were large for two people. It would have been much nicer if there were veggies and dips or almonds for bar options. We also had a great experience and would like to revisit the place.

Yelp
Great place. Fantastic history of the owners. Great people bringing great food to the table. Mostly vegetarian fare with great selection of non alcoholic. Owners really envisioned self-confessed ability to include all dietary preferences for a group going out. Fantastic surroundings and ambiance. Must go for casual or business meals.

Yelp
Well, I love this place and every time I go, I'm reassured of that. I went in to try the brunch and it delivered. I also tried the pistachio cheesecake, it was phenomenal. Service and vibe are always A+ In fact, as I write this, I'm heading there now for lunch!

Yelp
We love Sipeos! We came here a month ago and were super impressed how yummy vegetarian food can be!! When my husband asked me where we should go for Mother's Day lunch Sipeo was the top choice! We're not exclusively vegetarian and you all know how hard it is to get kids to enjoy vegetarian food. Well our kids loved it here Definitely order the meze plate. We got a large one with three dips. Our favs are the bean hummus, charred eggplant and the absolute best whipped feta. The flatbread is super fresh and soft too. I didn't get a photo of this because the kids were clearing out the share platter within minutes. We also got the BRAISED BEET FATTOUSH-ISH salad. Yummmmy! Now their flatbread pizzas. We've tried a few now and our absolute favorite is Under the Tuscan Sun. It's a must! The pesto eggplant with honey is a close second for us! The owner also suggested their pistachio cheesecake for dessert. The kids said they were full but they didn't leave a crumb behind. The drinks are a must try too. They're super special and tasty. There are plenty non-alcoholic cocktails and low alcohol cocktail options. The owners are super friendly and attentive. It was a very special experience!

Yelp
This place was delicious! A super cute area, and the food was really good. We had a really friendly waitress too and everyone on staff was helpful. Great place to come for dietary restrictions - I'm gluten and dairy free, mom is vegan, and we totally made it work! We split the large mezze platter and each got a grain bowl. The brownie at the end was great

Yelp
We reserved a slot through Sepios' system but I came there earlier. This was not a problem and the staff server there, (I believe her name is Sophie, but my sincere apologies if I got it wrong), was super sweet and helped us out all throughout including explaining the options in a very understandable way. We all got the unique mango based gazpacho, which the staff server explained would be spicy and sweet, and which we found super delicious. The small flatbread plate with dips and veggies also helped whet our appetite. The roasted red bell pepper based dip was especially flavorful and I would highly recommend. Then we got the vegan versions of cauliflower shawarma pizza, the eggplant honey pizza, and the cauliflower skewers with rice and harrisa side (which was spicy exactly as described by the staff).

Yelp

Yelp
Enjoyed a birthday dinner here with my bestie. The food, drinks and service did not disappoint. The staff are beyond friendly and went out of their way for us. We had the Mezze and shawarma seasoned cauliflower and boy were they delicious. Be sure to try the whipped feta and beetroot dips! To die for. Will be back.

Yelp
Food quality is excellent. Mostly all organic ingredients Lovely vegetarian recipes well suited for the European style bistro design setting. Warm lighting inside at night. Excellent service and so fun sitting at the bar. Try their margarita! Really good flavor profile.

Yelp
GET THE WHIPPED FETA! That's really all you need to know. But if you're interested in more info, read on. Sipeos is a cute small spot nestled between Macy's and True Food within Broadway Plaza mall. It's a great location for a "lady's who lunch" type of vibe, a quick bite while shopping or even as its own destination spot (although I'll admit I probably wouldn't go to the mall just to eat). I dined with a girlfriend and we shared: -The two dip mezze spread. As mentioned above, the whipped feta is so f-ing good, with a healthy drizzle of what tasted like fried garlic and spice. We also had the tzatziki, which was nice but nothing crazy special. The pita bread was delightful, so airy and chewy. -The fennel and citrus salad. I really enjoyed this, including the super fresh chunks of citrus and avocado. It was a bit over salted (this coming from a salt lover). -The pesto eggplant and hot honey pinsa. Another great choice. It had quite a kick to it, at least for a wimp like me. But I loved it. Our server was so sweet. She made the experience light and personal. I'm bummed we didn't try the cocktails. I'll be returning for those for sure.

Yelp
New favorite alert! This spot just opened up in downtown WC and I'm already hooked. I ordered the Pesto Eggplant & Hot Honey flatbread and whew - flavor on point! Was really delicious. The drink I ordered, Salted Pineapple - was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and low-ABV (which I love). It's rare to find something that hits just right but this did. The vibe inside? Chill, modern, and welcoming. I love that the owners are a husband-and-wife duo, super friendly and clearly passionate. And shoutout to Aaron behind the bar for being so warm and easy to chat with. You can tell this place was built with love and intention. Already planning my next visit. Walnut Creek needed this energy! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Delicious, fresh, and filling! The ingredients seem high quality and well thought out. The patio is super nice to have dinner on.

Yelp
A favorite place for great food and service! We have been to Sipeos several times since it's opening and it is now one of our favorite places! Sipeos is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. The food is consistently delicious!

Yelp
What a wonderful new addition to Walnut Creek! I enjoyed a perfectly crafted N/A cocktail--truly one of the most delicious drinks I've ever had. It was tart, spicy, and refreshing. All the fun of a real cocktail without the guilt, and I didn't miss the tequila headache either! Lunch was so fresh and flavorful--my friend and I shared a small Mezze plate with the whipped feta and roasted red pepper romesco. The dips were outstanding, and the piping hot oven-fresh flatbread and crispy veggies were perfect accompaniments. At our server's recommendation we ordered fennel and citrus salad--it was so light and refreshing, I could eat this everyday. Perfectly composed with huge chunks of perfectly ripe avocado and super sweet segments of grapefruit and tangerine. The paper thin fennel bulb and fronds and sprinkling of vanilla sea salt made the salad sing. Finally, we shared the shawarma spiced cauliflower flatbread. The smoky seasonings were on point and the creamy zatar and fresh diced cucumber were unexpected additions that made this take on pizza a unique stand-out. I can't wait to return with a larger group so we can try everything, include the skewer plates and desserts.

Yelp
This place ended up being the perfect spot for my mom's birthday dinner. We went on a Tuesday night and our server could not have been kinder or more attentive. She told us about their Tuesday special that comes with a free soup when you order an entree, which was such a nice surprise. All of the food was incredible and beautifully presented, and they were great about accommodating my gluten free diet. They also went out of their way to make my mom feel celebrated with a dessert, asked for her name ahead of time, and even surprised her with a birthday card signed by the whole staff. It was such a thoughtful touch. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Overall 4.5 score Found out about the spot from a friend but learnt from the owner they've been around since Nov (nice hidden gem). Service: Quickly greeted and served by both server and owner. It wasn't super crowded so service was timely. Our server was friendly and keen to check on us. Only nice thing would have been to note some recommendations of house faves (both drinks and food) since some of the items on the menu were not too familiar for I think most. She was happy to share once asked and say what could pair well. Food: we were pleasantly surprised with everything. The whipped feta, pesto eggplant and hot honey and the straw sessed up were our absolute fave ! So much flavour and unique taste. Quantity was great and we even had left overs. Would hope at least one plate of bread would be complimentary ( small plate order comes with only 4, would be disappointing if also the large mezze came with only 4 as well). The pica pica was okay, it's is a play on the margarita but still feels something is missing ( and not the alcohol). Ambiance : very chill, clean modern esthetics. It was peculiar but not the worst thing that they didn't have a bathroom of their own and shared with true foods. I am glad there was an option of a place to wash hands given the many finger foods. Perhaps a moist towelette wipes for the customers cause I can't imagine it being crazy busy and having to wait that long to wash your hands. Logistics: Made a reservation for two late evening on a Wednesday. Parking is through the plaza garage so there are options and couple of hours are free (weekend would be busier). Overall, we would love to come again to try more things out and even their cocktail options or coffee. They're getting ready for the outside patio seating so that will be lovely with nice weather. The owner was super nice and friendly, came by to make all was well. Pricing was fair and fitting. Good food portions. Only feedback would be the side bread and towelette options. Otherwise, this is definitely a great spot, can't wait to enjoy it in the summer as well. Not sure if menu changes but would be very exciting !

Yelp
What a delightful gem we found. Sipeos has a beautiful, casual ambience. Our host was so hospitable, service was excellent. My aunty and I have both been to Greece, the food at Sipeos was so fresh and delicious, she described it as hearty and colorful. We enjoyed the large Meze plate with hummus, eggplant and beet dips. We sampled the feta dip which was recommended and si yummy. Our entree was the rice bowl and we added a cauliflower skewer. For dessert we tried the Vegan vanilla soft serve with Turkish delight topping, so pretty!

Yelp
Everything about Sipeos is on point! From the attentive hosts and servers, the decor and the care taken in creating their visually stunning and tasty mediterranean inspired menu! Excellent menu with great flavorful plant forward and vegan options. We had a fun time as a group sampling the various mezze plates, pizzas and gazpacho options. I have been raving to many friends about the mango gazpacho! The combination of flavors was unexpected and delicious. They also have a whipped feta with honey and chili oil and since it is authentic feta (sheep/goats milk) it's great for anyone with lactose intolerance! We also ordered every single dessert (can't tell that all are vegan except the soft serve which was also fantastic!) and can't stop thinking about each one! Hard to pick a favorite between pistachio cheesecake - orange chocolate mousse - decadent chocolate brownie and the Dubai chocolate inspired ice cream. each one better than the other! We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I just love this cozy beautiful place. The foods are AMAZING & feel like medicine for soul. I loved the beets salad with liquid feta cheese and dressing, rice bowl Kefta, and pistachio cheesecake . Yelp
I love there's finally a NA bar in Walnut Creek. As someone who is starting to drink less and actually refrain from drinking, I like there's a dedicated spot I can go to help scratch that itch when I'm longing for a drink. Other places offer very sugary mocktails, but this place actually makes cocktails that's not overly sweet and has those complex flavors I'm after. Definitely will be a spot I frequent when I'm in Broadway Plaza

Yelp
Delicious vegetarian Mediterranean food! We shared a maze platter with beet and eggplant dips, as well as a pistachio cheesecake. Great outdoor seating. We even met the owner, Hetal, who was delightfully friendly to me and my mom.

Yelp
Wow, what a hidden gem and a fantastic way to deal with "dry January". They have a wonderful selection of mocktails- and not the basics that you find in most places. Beer lovers, explore the world outside of Heineken Zero. The food is equally is great and their fresh bread Mezze plate is a feast. Lots of great vegetarian options. It's tucked away by Macy's and True Food and a great place to stop, enjoy a cocktail and still be clear headed for your retail therapy adventures. Great food, a great array of drinks and super friendly and knowledgeable staff make this a must-try place.
