Rooftop bar with Caribbean vibe, rum cocktails, live music

"Nestled atop the rooftop pool of Coconut Grove’s Mayfair House Hotel, SipSip pays tribute to the city’s Caribbean heritage. Led by the team behind Lost Boy and Tropezón, this rum bar offers updated renditions of island mainstays such as daiquiris, punches, pina coladas, and Caribbean fare." - Dara Smith
"Sipsip, a rooftop bar and restaurant in Coconut Grove’s Mayfair House Hotel & Garden, isn’t one of those mini rooftops. You really feel like you’re on a roof here, and the eastern view includes a slice of Biscayne Bay. The small, mostly seafood menu isn't too impressive, so this is more a place to drink, especially if you’re in the mood for tiki cocktails or something frozen. The adjacent pool is hotel guests-only, but Sipsip is still a good place to pretend you’re on vacation. They also have a fireplace for those six nights a year when the temperature approaches something that resembles “cold." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino

"I learned that Sipsip Calypso is a rooftop rum bar that also opened in 2022 within the Atop Mayfair House Hotel and Garden complex." - Nadia Chaudhury

"I note that Sipsip—named for the Bahamian word for “gossip” or “sharing news”—is a Calypso pool rum bar that pays homage to the Caribbean with beach-favorite cocktails like daiquiris, punches, and pina coladas; its food menu reimagines South Florida fried-fish joints with items such as conch ceviche, fried oyster sliders, smoked fish dip, and lobster rolls, and the poolside ambiance is described as feeling straight out of an iconic Slim Aarons photograph." - Olee Fowler
