Austin’s New Restaurant & Bar Openings - Austin - The Infatuation

"Located in the former Poeta space next to Nickel City, Siti is a Filipino/Singaporean/Malaysian hybrid from the team behind Spanish restaurant El Raval. Expect to find upscale versions of Southeast Asian classics, including lobster chili crab, sambal striped bass, and char kway teow with confit duck." - nicolai mccrary, matthew jacobs

Delicious food, Delicious cocktails. The chef nailed every dish and we walked away very content. The restaurant is well decorated and the vibes were lively and fun. Highly recommend for date night!

Google
Hands down my new favorite restaurant in Austin!! Chef Laila knows her flavors!! Beef cheek, chili crab, charred cabbage, lamb chops, and bone marrow roti Canai were so delicious.

The food was excellent. Everything we ate from the chicken wings to the duck and seafood dishes to dessert was so flavorful! 10/10 recommend! You must visit Siti!

Google
A great new spot in East Austin. Ranking Siti 5 stars, specifically as they compare to other restaurants in the $30-50 range. Standouts were the Wagyu Fried Spring Rolls and the Hiramasa. Everyone was kind and helpful, and you can tell they really care about their guests having a great experience. For added context, we went at 5:15 with a reservation, and by 6 or 6:30 it was packed (pictures taken upon arrival for reference). Would recommend making a reservation or going early! Happy to see this new spot starting out strong.

Absolutely phenomenal food, service and atmosphere — hard to believe they opened just a few weeks ago. Everything was on point — especially the broiled cabbage and the oysters — I will definitely be back!

"Where Spices Speak: A Journey Through Siti's Heritage Kitchen" There's a new flavor queen in town, and her name is Chef Laila Bazahm. At her latest venture, Siti, you're swept into a sensory journey where time honored recipes, passed from grandmother to daughter, celebrate the culinary traditions of the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the broader East Asian tapestry. The result is a vibrant world of intoxicating aromas, bold flavors, and dazzling visual artistry. This fusion of cultures isn't just a mash-up-it's a harmonious dialogue of heritage, where bold spices, tropical ingredients, and ancestral techniques converge. Each dish feels like a passport stamp from a region steeped in flavor. We had dinner with friends and left thoroughly impressed. From the crispy Ayam Penyet wings to the rich Beef Rendang, from the wok-charred Char Kway Teow to the pristine Hiramasa crudo, every dish was a visual feast and a celebration of flavor. We sampled much of the menu, and nothing disappointed. My personal standouts were the Hiramasa and the Rendang-both unforgettable. Dessert continued the parade of delight, with a fragrant Malaysian tea tiramisu and the unexpected brilliance of Tom Kha lime pie ice cream-each one beautifully executed and full of character. The atmosphere is vibrant yet comfortably relaxed, striking a perfect balance between energy and ease. While the beverage list is curated and modest in size, it offers standout selections like the Galangal Grove, which was an absolute pleasure. Service was brisk and genuinely friendly. I never felt rushed, and attention to detail was on point throughout the evening.

Google
Siti is a nice addition to Austin and I have high hopes it will become an icon in the city. The staff is casual but still professional and knowledgeable. The food is great. Chef Laila is making elevated and not overly fancy Southeast Asian dishes with some classic flavors presented in her own interpretations and influences. The space is also beautiful with many tiles that feel authentic and also have a somewhat modernized Peranakan style.

Yelp
Everything about this spot was amazing!! Incredible food, vibe and service. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor. Standouts were the laksa, the grilled fish in banana leaf and the chili crab. Everything was rich and comforting with just the right level of spice. So happy to have something new and different in Austin! The dining room is absolutely beautiful. It feels special without being too formal or stuffy. It's the kind of place where you actually want to hang out for a while and enjoy the full experience. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited about the menu. He gave great recommendations and checked in often without being annoying. It made the whole night feel easy and relaxed. Prices are on the higher side, but totally worth it for the quality and experience. Can't wait to go back!!

Yelp
We ate at Siti for our anniversary diner and would rate it 4/5. (3.5 rounded up) 1. grilled pork belly - this was my favorite, juicy and flavorful pork 2. chicken satay - shubhs favorite, it was definitely much bigger than other satay i've had, decent 3. nasi lemak - high hopes for one of my fav breakfast dishes aka dried fish, fried egg, shrimp paste. it was delicious except the portions of the fish were so small, i mentioned to the server they skimped out. glad we tried Siti, it was a solid dinner! PSA it is very loud inside and they only let you order the food "family-style" aka placing all the orders at once.

Yelp
Had a wonderful experience at Siti! My husband and I made reservations at 5:30pm on a Friday night, but were late because of our flights. They were kind to cancel our reservation and seat us at the bar when we arrived at 6pm. Service is exceptional and the food choices are incredible. We had the Chicken Wings, Roti, and Chili Crab, which was enough to share for two people. Each dish was blasting with flavor. Chicken wings were crispy and moist. I loooved the Roti, but wished there was more meat in the bone marrow. They gave us on accident a Chili Crab with Lobster. It was alot of meat and very tasting! Overall, this is a great spot for unique cuisine in Austin. Highly recommend making a reservation!

Yelp
Giving 4 stars for the great creativity and service of siti. While the concept is great and presentation of the dishes were beautiful, the flavors just fell a little flat for me. Having lived most of my life in the Bay Area eating at a variety of Singaporean restaurants (and also having been to Singapore), this meal paled a bit in comparison of flavor and seemed a bit overpriced. I'd skip the bone marrow, the dessert (it says pandan but was barely any pandan flavor), the chili crab, and the lamb. The deep fried spring rolls, beef cheeks, charred cabbage ($21 was a little steep), and roti was good.

Yelp
We dined here a week after their opening day. I was surprised to find it was busy on a Wednesday evening, like what you'd typically see on the weekend. We came with reservations and were seated immediately. The menu isn't extensive so it's not that hard to decide what to order. We shared 3 plates, the laksa, charred cabbage, and beef rendang (listed in order of when they arrived on. I've been to better Southeast Asian restaurants in cities like Atlanta, owned by actual Southeast Asians. Although Siti is in a great location & well designed, the Durian sign did feel "gimmicky" and none of the dishes particularly left a memorable impression. The beef chunks in the rendang didn't taste like beef (or maybe the chef chose too many fatty ones), and the laksa only had 1 piece of shrimp/2 scallops. The pandan rice tasted off. Service was choppy as well, but I gather this will improve after a month in business! If I had to pick a favorite, probably the charred cabbage :)

Yelp
We had the pleasure of being some of the first diners at this amazing restaurant that opened in our neighborhood a few days ago. Less than five minute walk for us, located at the Frances Modern Inn; the former Poeta spot. A welcoming environment from the moment you step foot in the door. Excitement buzzing about amongst patrons and staff. Everyone so happy to be part of this delicious adventure. Siti is the brainstorm of the folks at El Rava (Spanish spot on S. Lamar). Chef Laila Bazahm has created a masterpiece of a menu. The charred Serrano curry cabbage with peas and green beans is mind-blowing (also available at the sister restaurant, El Rava). The way all of the flavors of that dish come together with just the right amount of curry is spectacular. A healthy dish that doesn't make you feel like you're missing out because it's quite filling too. Banana leaf rice (banana leaf stuffed with rice) and a chicken satay as sides made for a perfect meal. Wagyu spring rolls (with shrimp) and wings are phenomenal. The menu contains other items such as raw oysters, lamb chops, roti, and more. The drinks menu offers a variety of still and sparkling wines, beers, and house cocktails. The Root & Ritual is so good. It's made with a saffron rice rye. Such unique and refreshing flavors. Siti is going to be one of the places that I can't wait to take out-of-town guests to for dinner. So lucky to have them in our hood.

Yelp
So Delicious!!! This spot is such a treat. It's nice to have something exotic to explore here in Austin. Everything we had was so good. The staff was super helpful guiding us through what can be some unfamiliar flavors. And the space was comforting and inviting.

Yelp
I can honestly say that this was some of the best southeast Asian food I have ever had. Every single dish was fantastic, full of flavor, and the portions were amazing. Not too big but definitely not tiny like I was expecting after going to Oko. This will definitely be a monthly spot. The waygu spring rolls and the Char Kway Teow are not to be missed - but you can't go wrong with ANYTHING on this gorgeous and inspired menu. Number one meal this year. Thank you Eddie and Billy.

Yelp
Visited from Phoenix and was not disappointed! Food was great - especially liked the charred cabbage with Serrano curry. The waygu spring roll was also good. I thought the service was pretty dialed for how new they are and whatever service the bartender missed on, the manager more than overcame with authentic, positive energy. Will be back next time we're in Austin.

Yelp
Finally got to check the place out and overall service was not what I expected it to be & food didn't really wow me over everything had to be ordered at once and by the time you try something the food has already sat for a bit.
