Went here for Sunday Brunch around 1pm. We had a pretty large group of 8. Parking: We paid for parking and it was very easy to find parking right behind the building $5 for an hour Food: I had the avocado toast and it wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The guacamole was decent my first time having pumpkin seeds in guacamole but the chips were freshly made and delicious. Service was super slow. Not sure if it was because where we were sitting but we had to ask out server multiple times for things and I'm pretty sure he forgot to put in a order for one of the people in our party because it never came. I'll try this place again and update the review. 20% gratuity was included because of our party size.

Highlight of my trip to Austin, a more popular spot down the street was crowded. Sixth and Walker wasn't busy. Brunch was fantastic, the decor and vibe was sophisticated. We even met the chef and although the host/waiter was busy chatting some ladies up at the bar, service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend the basic breakfast fare as the eggs were perfect. If you're Austin for a good food give this place a visit.

Google
The place looks really cute from the outside, as it’s apart of the East Austin Hotel. The food was pretty good and there was no real wait from ordering to eating. You order at the counter and within 5-10 minutes the food was at our table. The Queso Eggs Benedict were great, but the breakfast bun felt like someone came up with it in their dorm room. Probably great hangover food. All in all worth a try, especially if you are staying on East 6th.

While staying at the East Austin Hotel I popped in here just to get a look at it, and grab a cup of coffee in the morning. It is a gorgeous restaurant and diner. I absolutely love the decor and the coffee was great!

Cozy but light and fresh space. Loved the decor. Very clean. Got to watch Wild Wild West while eating my salad, which was very good. Service was attentive and easy-going. Would like to come back and try their drink specials and all-day breakfast.

For the price the lace is terrible. Potatoes with steak were hard, salad had leaves that weren't fresh. On the positive side, food came out fast and the ladies working there were super nice.

Salmon was cooked perfectly. Loved it. Their Chicken wings had a really good flavor.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place but... it's 5:30 am and I am leaving. Tried to get some much needed shut eye before the 22 hour road trip home & we were kept awake all night by people stomping above our room. Stayed in room 109 and it felt like every single door slam & foot step was playing through a speaker. I really couldn't believe it cuz these places look pretty nice. Anyways the noise got worse at 3am and it's just been tossing and turning since then. Sayonara. I. Am. Tired.

Yelp
I absolutely forgot this hotel was communal when we booked so it was a confusing minute that our bathrooms were outside the room. It was a different experience and we honestly enjoyed it. They were clean and never crowded and have handicapped bathroom/showers. The room was cozy. Our particular building didn't have an elevator, only stairs but the building surrounding the pool did. So if you need those accommodations, it might be best to book over the phone instead of a third party (Hotels, Expedia, etc.) to make sure you get a room in a building with the elevator. The courtyard had an outside bar but they're seasonal but still relaxing place to be. And there's a restaurant connected to the hotel but the street has late night businesses and bars if you want something later. They have a parking garage that's $30ish dollars for a night and with in and out access. If you don't mind dorm style or open to a non-traditional hotel, this place is cute! I will say the night we stayed, there's a THC truck outside that was playing music. We were able to fall asleep but keep ear plugs handy if you're a light sleeper.

Yelp
Quite possibly Austin's best kept secret ! As a regular traveler for business and pleasure, I make it a point to stay at hotels that are funky and different and not the standard cookie cutter hotel. I stumbled across the East Austin hotel a few years ago and loved my experience so much that I make it a point to stay here whenever I'm in town. Super friendly staff and the on-premises restaurant is even better. The 2nd Bar & Kitchen has that "Cheers" sitcom feeling "where everybody knows your name". Great friendly staff and this would certainly be a place I'd put on my list when looking for something fun and different while visiting Austin! LOVE this place !

Yelp
My parents wanted to reserve a hotel block for guests who came in town for my wedding this past spring. I helped steer them towards East Austin Hotel since I'd been to their restaurants before, and it was near my condo, i-35, and other destinations guests might want to visit. I knew the pool courtyard would make a good meeting place for everyone during down-time. Some of the rooms were actually reasonably priced for a trendy downtown hotel. Still, most of my guests opted to stay in AirBnBs, and only my parents and aunt stayed at East Austin Hotel. I was afraid that staying in a trendy hotel would be overkill for their age, but nothing was overly gimmicky, and everything worked out great. One sunny afternoon before the wedding we sat around the pool. East Austin Hotel was great to have as one of our meeting points during the wedding week, even if we did not rely upon it as heavily as we first expected.

Yelp
Cute enough hotel in a fun area! We really enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and admittedly didn't spend much time at the hotel. The room itself was very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable.

A S.

Yelp
Don't not book here! Firstly, it took them over an hour to have my room ready after the check in time. Then the hotel food and beverage manager informs me that the hotel is having a Halloween party, OK cute I get it, It's Halloween weekend. However, this party starts at nine and they are blasting club music that I can hear through my hotel room walls. I wasn't expecting the party to interrupt my stay. I asked the front desk when it will end, they inform me that the hotel party will end at 11. It doesn't end at 11 and continues through midnight. I had to wake up really early in the morning and I booked a hotel to sleep soundly, that is not what happened. I emailed Jacelyn, their manager, informing her of my dissatisfied stay, asked for a refund because I do not believe I got what I paid for. I wasn't paying to be woken up by club music. She informed me, oror rather lied to me, that the party was from an outside vendor, even though hotel staff had confirmed to me prior that it was in fact hosted by the hotel itself. She's a liar and is ghosting me.

Yelp
Sorry so long. A lot to get off my chest. When we walked into the room, the air-conditioning was set at 62°. That meant everything in the room was damp, including the sheets towels, the pillows the rug. We let that go, then noticed that there was significant amount of mold in the bathroom ceiling and an extreme amount of moisture. Then we ventured to the pool which happened to be quite close to ambient temperature (100*). It was not refreshing. It was warm to the touch. All four nights we stayed there. The most anybody was there was maybe 10 people, and that was on the day that they were giving away free booze. Every other day there was less than five max. And most hours it was just empty. EMPTY. Gorgeous weather. No one at the pool. The pool was uninhabitable. It was not refreshing. It did not cool down. It actually made you warmer. When you got to in the pool you had to get out to cool off. so much so that you would get in and out just to feel the essence of cool. It was unusable. Because the pool was so un refreshing and so uninviting it also made the poolside bar completely empty. Nobody patrons the bar because nobody wanted to patron the pool. Seems like a missed business opportunity. The pool was one of the biggest reasons why we wanted to stay there and it was, like I said, unusable. Do yourself a favor and read more reviews. There's a communal area with a few rooms that share a communal bathroom that are only taken care of once a day. Heard horror stories there too. More mold and unsanitary conditions. I did make comment to a manager upon leaving. She was pleasant and heard me. I do not think any rectification will be attempted. Not her fault the pool is hot. Seems like that doesn't happed in Arizona or las Vegas. Seems someone designed it ignorantly and she's in the office so she gets to hear it. The mold on the other hand; I believe she has a responsibility not to book rooms that have maintenance issues as bad as this. There was no attempt to comp or offer to at least take a Coffe off my bill. I'm not looking for freebies but giving me her card and asking me "call her when I come back" is a flat out empty attempt at appeasement. The restaurant "second" was quite good and the wait staff was great.

Clay O.

Yelp
The rooms are nice, the location is convenient, but internet access is the pits: very slow, comes and goes. It's fine for an overnight stay, where you can just use your phone, but if you wanted to use your computer for anything, you'd be out of luck.

Bryan N.

Yelp
Booked this hotel through booking.com and the pictures did the hotel justice. Driving up from the outside you might seem a little unsure but the room we stayed in was great. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfy. They have a bar and restaurant in the hotel as well which I didn't get to experience. The only negative is that parking wasn't part of my reservation and was an extra $30 for the night. Overall it was a pretty good stay and I'll keep this place in mind for the future

Louie B.

Yelp
Was looking to book a room at this hotel - went through their website but received an error during checkout. Never received an email confirmation so I assumed I didn't have a room. Eventually was surprised with a charge on my credit card for a no show fee. Called the hotel and explained the situation. Told me to email management. Did that and was told that they couldn't help except to cut the $373 fee in half. So their system failed and now I'm on the hook for $186.

Yelp
This lovely hotel is the best lodging I have ever had and I travel ALOT! Here's a run down that you should know: 1. 15mins from the airport 2. The immediate neighborhood is fun 3. Near downtown and convention center 4. ****The most excellent service from the front desk and the restaurant 5. My room was in the Waller building and very very nice! My room was super clean and decorated so nice! 10 out of 10!

Adam W.

Yelp
It's hard to put into words how mad I am that I arrived on fourth of July to find a public pool party in the pool I paid to use blasting loud music into the room I paid to stay in with drunk guests throwing up in the shared bathrooms I paid to shower in. Apparently all the high school kids who threw a loud obnoxious party at the house their parents paid for got jobs as hotel managers and wrote this ridiculous business strategy.

Miriam P.

Yelp
I loved this hotel! The room was so pretty! I loved the decor and I loved how welcoming everyone was. We checked into the king room but the AC wasn't working so they quickly moved us to a different room. I love how on it they were and the maintenance guy didn't have to help us move but he did and he was so amicable. The rooms were spacious and they were so clean I love how there was 2 complimentary water bottles. I would definitely stay again.

Michelle V.

Yelp
Cockroach rooms for a ridiculous price. I left my first review on TripAdvisor and they tried to message me if I wanted a discount. LOL save your money and go to the hotel down the road. What was supposed to be a romantic getaway for my Boyfriend and me ended up being a scary visit. As soon as I turned on the air-conditioner... the critters syatted crawling. OH my gosh it was so

Brent T.

Yelp
Warning - read your booking EXTRA closely. A large portion of this hotel has shared bathrooms!!! (Yes like a hostel) I was very displeased with my recent stay here. I lived in East Austin a number of years and frequented the balcony bar often (which is super cute), but never stayed here until a recent visit back to town. I relooked at my reservation and the bathroom explanation is fine print and not obvious. The shared bathrooms were hostel like and were not well maintained. I tried a couple of the stalls and while they are private and do lock, they were dirty and not cleaned often. They provide men's and women's USED shower shoes in your room which was also gross and dated stained towels. The carpet in the rooms are so disgusting I didn't take my socks or shoes off during my stay and there was so much dust on the counter top of the desk it looked like it has not been cleaned in a very long time. The walls are paper thin both to other rooms and to the street. While the public spaces in this hotel are cute, this was a horrendous stay for me as I could not sleep. I think it's important for others to know what you're getting into if you stay here. I'm not going back.

Sam V.

Yelp
The hotel is beautifully decorated with a nice modern feel. They have a great roof top bar with excellent food and magnificent views. When I left a view items they called me and then even offered to ship it. I would totally recommend

Yelp
Stayed one night, 4 days later I had a rash on my side. The rash migrated to my belly. Very itchy and it spread. I went to my dermatologist. Scabies.

Jason H.

Yelp
Absolutely love the vibe of this establishment! From the staff, to the style of the rooms and 3... yes 3 bars on site.... There was honestly no reason to go downtown! We could have stayed at the Hotel and had a lot more fun. The Second Bar+Kitchen was our favorite of all three! We had the avocado toast and the huevos rancheros! They did not disappoint! Next time we plan a trip to Austin, we will without a doubt be staying here! Do yourself a favor and visit East Austin Hotel!

Eric B.

Yelp
My wife and I came by Second Bar + Kitchen Rooftop at East Austin Hotel for drinks and appetizers on a lazy Sunday afternoon. We had some great palomas, as well as some truffle fries, brussel sprouts, and shishito peppers. Our server (from Pittsburgh) was awesome! This place is very pretty inside and we really enjoyed coming in out of the heat to cool off during happy hour here. I've been to another location for Second Bar and Kitchen and this location was better all the way around, even if the menu was similar. We'll be back.

Darlene B.

Yelp
We stayed here for a few days one summer when we were looking for apartments in Austin. Not really knowing anything about the city, this was the most centrally located and well within the nightlife scene location we could've stayed at - which, to be honest, wasn't really our scene (lol). But in any case, it was still a pleasant stay. The vibe is very southwest, almost felt like I was in Palm Springs, too. They have a pool but it's not that big. The rooms were nice, but I didn't like how the bathroom was not completely closed off. It was open in the ceiling, so not much privacy. And you could hear (and smell) everything...not a fan. Overall, if you're looking for a cute, vibey hotel that's in the middle of the party scene, this is your spot! I'd probably stay here again if I was visiting alone.

alyson c.

Yelp
Loved everything about this place. It had a "groovy" aesthetic, great service & stellar food. It even has a rooftop space(we did not go up as it was both hot and rainy). My daughter had the Mushroom Kale Melt, I had the Chopped Salad with chicken, and we shared the Brussel Sprouts which were TO DIE FOR. Definitely check East Austin Hotel.

Anthony M.

Yelp
What a fun and exciting time I had at the East Austin hotel. The people at the front desk are so friendly and welcoming. I wanted to try something completely different and admittedly was a little out of my element. I wasn't sure about the shared bathrooms but it actually is a really nice and very clean set up. The rooms are cute and the location is pretty ideal if you don't want to bother with transportation to the fun downtown six street area. I didn't use the pool but it looks like a good time with the outside bar. If you're not planning on staying up until 2 o'clock in the morning, the area might not be for you. It does get loud but if that's what you're looking for you found the right place.

Kim H.

Yelp
Noise was horrible. Charged me more at check in than I had on my reservation from Navan. Several light bulbs were burned out in the room. Carpet was filthy- feet got dirty just walking around. Music from the club felt like it is playing in my room- no warning about that at check in. Overall, it was terrible. I do not recommend. There are better hotels for the same price.

Margaret B.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere and decorations and setting. The food was well done and staff was very helpful and courteous . Would revisit !

Carol R.

Yelp
We stayed on a Sunday night. The hotel didn't have many quests. The parking lot and restaurant were nearly empty. But, they sold a large number of day passes for the pool. The pool was so full, there wasn't room to move or to stand anywhere that wasn't 2 feet from 5 other people. There were no lounge chairs available the whole day. We were lucky to find chairs in the pool bar. The staff was working very hard. (It would be awesome to provide some kind of AC or a fan for the pool bartender. ) But, the specialty cocktails at the pool bar took a long time to make, so there was a long wait most of the time. The bartender said we could go inside to order a drink, but the inside bartender said they were closed. The pool ran out of towels and didn't get more towels for an hour. The manager and staff are working hard. I hope they find a way to rent more rooms so they can sell fewer pool passes.

Tyler W.

Yelp
Cool vibe, but buyer be warned the "cheapest" rooms don't have bathrooms! You have to walk down the hall to go to shared private bathrooms which have a toilet/sink/shower. They also don't have any towels in the bathrooms so after you wash your hands you have to go around the corner to find something to dry your hands with. An example of how idiot this design is. I got locked out of my room while brushing my teeth. Had to get maintenance to fix my door. Lucky it wasn't the middle of the night. At $250 a night, I feel very ripped off. Feels like a hostel masquerading as a hotel.

BananyaRamya R.

Yelp
laid back and the restaurants are fabulous. the decor is absolutely my speed with all that vintage mid cent mod rattan! rooms are minimalist but still comfy and the pool area is fab when not crowded. price is right and cool bars down the block. love east austin

Mikayla J.

Yelp
Been here our first night and completely disgusted not worth the money at all and no discount available. Not worth the money at all my sheets had stains and food left in fridge very upset. Save ur money this place is worse than a motel

Kelby C.

Yelp
Man, the service at this place is so good I couldn't even believe it. It's super cute, right on 6th, and it was complete dumb luck that this is where we ended up staying. I booked my next stay while I was still there the other day and I already can't wait to go back. If you're going to Austin, this is somewhere that shouldn't be skipped.

Jennifer F.

Yelp
This was definitely a middle of the road experience for my husband and I. It wasn't the best place we've ever stayed, and it wasn't the worse either. Overall, pretty clean and a neat aesthetic. We checked for bed bugs and found none. The toilet and sink areas were also clean as well as the bed sheets (but I did find a small dark stain on one of the covers). The room had a neat retro vibe to it with what looked like some original features from the 60s. We felt like we'd taken a trip back in time which was kind of cool. The outdoor areas were welcoming and well maintained (no trash, cool plants, etc). A very trendy place for sure! As previously mentioned in the comments, the bathroom in the room is not entirely private. The walls surrounding the bathroom do not reach the ceiling, so everything can be heard and potentially smelled. The carpets are old and worn. The bathroom tile in the shower is dirty (what's supposed to be white grout is actually blackish in color), but they do provide complimentary used shower sandals. The walls are pretty thin, so you can hear people above walking around and all the street traffic pretty loudly. Unfortunately, the most unpleasant part of our stay that we never quite adjusted to was the strong smell of mildew/mold. An overpowering plug-in air freshener was used to cover up the smell, but it didn't help. Hope this review helps an interested patron have all the information to make an informed decision. There's nothing like knowing exactly what to expect (the good and the bad).

Quincie S.

Yelp
I love East Austin Hotel! The aesthetic of this large space is so charming, and eclectic. There's a restaurant down stairs that has such tasty bites, a pool & pool bar & a rooftop bar - you literally don't have to leave if you didn't want to! There's options for a cheaper room with a shared bathroom - similar to a more relaxed stay, or they have traditional rooms/suites like at a traditional hotel! Located in the perfect spot of East Austin, we had such an easy time checking out other bars/restaurants around the area. 100% only staying here when I'm in downtown Austin!

Amy D.

Yelp
If you are looking for a hotel stay in Austin, I so recommend East Austin Hotel. What you need to know: 1 location location location. It is literally the best location at a reasonable price. It is a newer hotel, super clean, and so walkable of so many of my favorite spots. While they have so many amenities, for longer stays you will love how walkable this hotel is. 2 They are pet friendly with a small fee. Our pup loved her experience as did we. Nala had the best time! 3 They have a phenomenal rooftop bar and restaurant. Both pet friendly (restaurant is dog friendly outdoors). 4 They are taking great precautions always and taking super great Covid precautions. 5 their Upside Bar has a plethora of fun shows showing on their outdoor screen paired with Austin outdoor ambience, the best cocktails and delish bites. We personaly love the S'mores in the winter months. 6 Brunch is not to be missed! Those mimosas and incredible menu items (I am a fan of the udon) are so good.

Melia D.

Yelp
I stayed in the cabin style. No problem sharing the shower. There is a Locked door between the shower area and the hall. Only 4 rooms share it.

Liz M.

Yelp
Review for people that have stayed in hostels before: 5/5 stars The cabin rooms are very cute. The beds and pillows are super cozy. The shared bathrooms are private and clean. The bars and restaurant in the building are great. Parking on site was one of the best features. We were able to park our car and leave it. There are lots of bars, food, and shops within walking distance. Review for people who have never stayed in a hostel before: 5/5 stars This is a great place for your first experience. The only difference is the shared bathrooms. The bathrooms are shared but they are near the rooms on a he floor, clean, private and they lock. You will like it. Everyone we interacted with was super pleasant and helpful.

Ivorie O.

Yelp
It was a cold rainy Sunday when me and my fiancé were struggling to make the drive back to Houston. We instantly decided to get a hotel in the area since the weather was bogus. After reading many local hotel reviews , we decided to go with East Austin. As we arrived , our hotel was in mint condition and had a very unique interior design. The Bathrooms were spacious and the bed was insanely comfortable. A Bluetooth speaker/ radio is included which is important for the music lovers. The lamps add a cozy ambience to the room. Do not sleep on this hotel it is just too damn cool. We will be back!

Sandra B.

Yelp
Five of us went for the happy hour on the rooftop and enjoyed ourselves immensely from 4-6 pm Wednesday. Half price on some good drinks with delicious shareables especially the roasted persimmon dish. Wait staff and bartenders friendly and fun. Free parking under the hotel. All around perfect time until their entertainer started with insulting jokes on a loud microphone. We would have stayed longer if he wasn't there. Hard to leave when the sun is setting and a soft breeze is blowing but the entertainer was obnoxious.

Mitchell U.

Yelp
I had the highest hopes for this hotel. The reviews the pictures. Probably about 5 mins into checking in I started to feel like a made a mistake... I checked in on a Saturday at 3 pretty standard. Even upgraded my room so I can be closer to the pool. I was trying to go big at our last stop on the trip. And got sorely disappointed. We check in on a Saturday at 3. As we walked to our room there was a massive pool party going on. I'm talking huge. You couldn't squeeze any more body's in the pool or around it. My room was literally 5 feet from the pool. Anywhere else that would be a good thing. But not during these covid times and not after the money I spent. I went right back to the lobby to ask what was going on. I was told ALL those people had purchased a 40$ day pass and was allowed to be there. Being 5ft away I couldn't help but notice that both doors to the street were lodged open. So anyone and there grandma can come to the pool party. Nobody was buying passes... That was my first issue. Then things kept getting worse for me. I woke up to blood stains on my comforter. I'm not talking a little spot. 4-5 huge dried blood stains all over the comforter. I didnt notice at first cause it was wrapped tightly in a clean duvet. Not till I woke up and saw the duvet slipping down a bit. Not only was it disgusting. Pretty sure its a safety hazard during these covid times. After seeing how they handled the pool I should have left right there. We brought it to the on sites managers attention. She kinda had the same reaction I did and had the bed switched out immediately which I appreciated. She also covered my drinks at the pool the following day. We actually got to enjoy it Sunday cause there wasn't a million people in there. Riley and Fibi at the pool bar might be the best thing you guys got going on there. They were nice and funny and took my mind off of the hotel for a time. But I think after those 2 things I started looking for what else was wrong instead of trying to enjoy myself. My patio chair was broken. The blinds in my room were somehow hanging on for dear life. I appreciated the manager covering our drinks and trying to make it better. But now that I'm home and can reflect. That was handled really poorly. There's not enough drinks to make that better. My fiancé and I went to ATL- Nashville - San Antonio finishing the trip in Austin. East Austin Hotel was easily the worst stay of the trip. I think I read this is the 3rd month they've been open. Might have some kinks to work out. But don't waste money to find that out. The location of it was perfect. Next to a bunch of amazing restaurants. But the hotel was a big miss..

Julie S.

Yelp
Don't overlook this as a venue for your small meeting or event. We met in one of their conference rooms this week, and it was lovely. The staff was super helpful and friendly, and the food they prepared for us (two different breakfasts) was wonderful. The proximity to all things east side is a big selling point, and we had one of our staff lunches at Sixth and Waller which was so good, and had so many options for those of us who are vegan, gluten free, etc. The room itself was very comfortable, the wifi fast, the bar afterwards was fun, and I would 100% book something here if I had the need.

Kim W.

Yelp
I'm giving this hotel 1 star because of the location. It's a great spot if you want to be within walking distance of cafes, bars, and restaurants in East Austin or downtown/Rainey. It's just far enough from the busiest bars, so it's quiet at night. Outside of that, everything else was terrible. The room was filthy. The carpet was stained. The sheets were dirty. There were crumbs on the floor from the previous guest. The bathroom was dirty and not stocked. I can't believe they left the room like this. The walls were thin and I heard conversations through the walls. I also heard others snoring in the middle of the night. On the last morning of my stay, I was drying my hair in the bathroom and had a giant cockroach crawl onto my foot. I realize cockroaches are normal in TX but for it to be in the hotel room (right after showering) was absolutely disgusting. The woman at the front desk was nice and she wrote down the feedback I shared, but I wasn't offered any sort of refund. I paid $400 for two nights. I would never stay here again and I wouldn't recommend anyone spend their money on this disgusting hotel. There are plenty of other choices nearby.

Cindy B.

Yelp
There is so much to do here ! Upstairs bar / food and eats at the restaurant. Pool parties almost every weekend. Not to mention the decor here is super amazing and great for shoots. I've only been here for lunch and pool parties not any stays so I may be biased by only enjoying the food stuff lol . But can't wait to stay here the location is perfect!!

Madelon D.

Yelp
Gorgeous, fantastic and fabulous! I was absolutely thrilled with my experience at the East Austin Hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the room was beyond my expectations. The room was lovely and the bed was fluffy and comfortable. There was an actual real coffeemaker, and delicious body lotion, and shampoo and conditioner. The bathrooms with private shower stalls are plentiful and sparkling clean. The location is really great too. Lots of cool little bars and food trucks and nightlife. If you're looking for a haircut, try Birds across the street. Very hip and inexpensive! I recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a lovely spa-like reprieve in a totally hip neighborhood. The real A Thank you East Austin Hotel!

Yelp
Started off our bachelor party at the upside at the East Austin Hotel. Only planned to stay for a drink and ended up staying for Karaoke until close! The bartenders, Christina and Ben were so friendly and welcoming! place to start the night, highly advise the 1/2 off happy hour from 4-6.

Yelp
A group of ladies and I had a birthday surprise here last week and everything was so lovely! Leading up to the event the communication was wonderful, and during our stay we had a great time! We had a couple men decide to drunkenly harass us and got out of hand, but the staff was amazing and so quick to handle things. Reba and Kim are earth angels who made us feel safe and so welcome. We appreciate you all for making it a great experience!

Yelp
The hotel is located on bustling East 6th street and walking distance to oh-so-many good restaurants and bar. Be careful when booking as rooms with "external bathroom" do not have an ensuite bathroom but a share a communal bathroom with other rooms. We made this mistake and concierge was happy to change our room the night before. Restaurant and bar are good and very Austin-funky. Our hotel room was super cute. The only issue I had with the hotel was the noise level (my fault for booking a hotel on 6th street). Room doors open into an outdoor hallway so there's little protection from noise. There is a THUMPIn bar next door that progressively gets louder with music and yelling until past midnight. Since I had a licensing exam I chose to change locations so I could get some sleep. Concierge was understanding and didn't charge me for the garage parking or room upgrade in the end. If visiting Austin purely for fun/nightlife this would be a great place to stay both because of the location and funky East Austin decor/atmosphere

Yelp
Bathrooms are clean! Complimentary shower shoes are nice. There is not an elevator to the third floor and the stairwells are not air conditioned. No one offered to help me with my bags and they were heavy; it was a long trip to the third floor on a hot day in May. Roof top bar is cute. Rooms felt a littler warmer than what the AC was reading both nights I was there but to be fair I didn't ask maintenance to troubleshoot. The den/work room is nice but there are no desktops. Wifi was of good quality. It's walking distance to quite a few restaurants which is nice.

Yelp
Thank you Lindsay! I can't even describe how amazing my stay here was. I must give a shout-out to Lindsay. She was working the night shift when we arrived. One of the ladies in our group is 7.5 months pregnant, and had just gotten off a 7 hour flight. Lindsay went above and beyond for us, making sure she was taken care of and comfortable. She also checked in later to make sure was comfortable with her accommodations. Also, everything was top notch, and we felt very cared for, but on Lindsay alone, we will be recommending this hotel to everyone we know, and anyone else in our company who comes to Austin for a stay.

Yelp
We went here yesterday. The food and service were amazing. I wish I remember the server's name- he was blonde and new to the area from Nashville. He helped us order exactly what we needed for breakfast, and made awesome recommendations!

Yelp
Real musty. If you go in not expecting much it's fine. Smells weird. Isn't super clean. Wants to look cool and cuts corners. Basic.

Upgrade of room $100 for bathroom another $150 deposit. Parking $25. ... Beware... ONCE YOU SWIPE YOUR CC. NO REFUNDS OR CANCELATIONS.
