Mandy was absolutely amazing. If the food wasn't as fantastic as it always is, Mandy would have made the entire night worth while! She was far above expectations of a grand server. She laughed with us, joked with us, and is full of smiles! Best server hands down. Our appetizer was delicious, meals were yummy, and drinks were beautifully crafted.

We were craving kabobs and jasmine rice, look this place up, and was so glad I did. This restaurant did not disappoint. The food was phenomenal. Service was more than just great, Service was excellent, Jarod was so cool and fun to chat with, and he recommended a really good Justin's red wine. He also recommends delicious plates. Kabob house has a nice vibe and swanky chic atmosphere. My husband and I are already making plans to come back.

Skewers Kebab House has a really nice atmosphere and great service, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food was decent overall. The meat was cooked perfectly and very flavorful, but for the price, I expected a bit more wow factor. The vegetable skewers were way overdone, completely charred,but they were kind enough to take them off the bill, which I appreciated. I wouldn’t say it was mind-blowing, but I’d definitely give it another try.

I did not like my salmon because it wasn’t cooked all the way. But the rest was okay. This place is across from the Hilton Hotel where we stayed, very convenience.

2 nd time visiting and did not disappoint both times. The rack of lamb and skewer of shrimp is a great combination. Very well done in both flavor and presentation.

Nice place close to hotel. Great service. Food good but not outstanding. Kebab a bit dry. Med sampler plate was tasty but didn’t love the pita they serve with it.

Drink didn’t have fizz so we had to ask for replacement. Kabaabs had hair inside it, and again we had to ask for replacement. Quantity of appetizers were less.

Skewer Kabob House is such a hidden gem! Even though it's over 300+miles from LA, we always make sure to stop by whenever we're in the area. I talked so much about it that my sister had to check it out for herself. My sister and the picky husband absolutely loved it too! The meat is always flame-grilled to perfection -- juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned every single time. We usually order the Carnivore Family Platter, and it's always a hit (plus we grab extra to-go because it's that good!). If you're anywhere nearby, this place is definitely worth the drive. Consistent quality, great portions, and delicious every time!

We came here on Friday night for dinner and it was about a 20min wait to get a table without reservations. So we helped ourselves to the bar. I ordered something off menu which was a paper plane and it was fantastic! We went about 2 rounds here before being seated. For on trays we got the salad with grilled lamb chops, the lamb chops needed more of a sear and the salad was too acidic and needed more flavor. We also shared the shallot yogurt which was lacking the shallot taste. But our combo plates with the barberry rice were amazing and grilled to perfection. I love it jus which it was more traditional grilled tomatoes and onions instead of the zucchini and carrots. lol Bar service was amazing but table service was just alright. He only checked on us once and we seen him cater to a few tables more than us. I wanted more grilled tomatoes and onions and by the time he came back it was just time for our check. He didn't asked if we wanted more drinks or so just kept serving the other tables and bringing them more drinks. I would go back but hopefully the service is better.

Happy hour is sufficient, a expanded drink menu for "happy hour" would make it a ton better! Maybe even add discounted food items! The food is delicious, a big portion, always leave with leftovers! Expanding on the dipping sauces would be something I would consider! That's just the way it is, kabobs, I'm going to be looking to dip those in something! Tzatziki sauce is excellent, a additional charge $, Seating at resturant and ambience, is great. Booth seating dates back to when place was sports bar, and cushions are worn and not very comfy! Management needs to update and repad! Parking, use the parking structure, back lot inconsistent for space! Service was excellent, very attentive! Overall, I live local and will keep coming back!

Really great place. Coming from LA.. we have pretty decent Mediterranean food, but this place was one of the better places ive tried. The drinks were very good and bar tender attentive. Im glad we sat in thre bar, the regular restaurant servers were slow, Took forever to seat people with no acknowledgement..so we chose thr bar. It was a little on thr darker side but could still see your food. Garlic chicken was amazing, rice good. Thr food portions were excellent. Would go back for sure.

Been going to Skewers for over a decade when they were at the old location which is now a Starbucks. When we crave for Mediterranean food, Skewers is our go to. Appetizer- you have to try the Cilantro Jalapeno hummus that goes well with their warm flat bread. Very addicting, not spicy at all with lemon juice added. Can't go wrong with this! 5 stars Lula kabob- my fav dish . Basmati rice is spot on! Basically seasoned ground beef with its distinct herbs and spices only found with Persian food. 5 stars Wife got the Lula and Joojeh (marinated thigh chicken meat). Good combo if you want beef and chicken . 5 stars. Place is huge with a few rooms for parties and events as well as a bar area. Service is 5 stars. We come here at least once a month. When it comes to Mediterranean restaurants- Skewers is the best one in Modesto

After towing a car from Fairfield on the way to Fresno, my appetite was more beat up than the rear bumper I was dragging behind me (small incident with the car and the trailer). A local friend in Modesto recommended Skewers Kabob House, and let me just say, I'm so glad I swapped out a gas station snack for this Middle Eastern oasis. From the outside, the building had that rustic, almost Mediterranean castle vibe with a glowing clock tower that said, "You're in for something special." Inside? A semi-upscale feel with high energy from a packed Friday night crowd. Tables were full, so they opened up the upper level just for us, felt like VIP treatment from the jump. Definitely had bottle service vibes. We started with the appetizer samplers, and it did not miss. Creamy hummus, grape leaves that didn't taste like sadness, cool cucumber yogurt dip, and this smoky eggplant dish that slapped harder than expected. It was all solid, but that hummus deserves its own standing ovation. So does the bread. Mmmm bread. For my entrée, I went with the surf and turf combo, juicy kabob skewers of shrimp and beef, served over saffron rice with grilled veggies and a roasted tomato. Everything was cooked beautifully. Shrimp? Plump and perfectly charred. Steak? Tender, flavorful, and generously portioned. Saffron rice? Fluffy, aromatic, and felt like the kind of carbs you don't feel bad about. My friends ordered a bunch of different platters, salmon kabobs, koobideh, chicken, more shrimp and it turned into a whole communal feast. I stole bites from everyone (sorry, not sorry), and I can confirm: there were no weak links. Salmon was Servers were working hard af. It was packed and they were hustling, but still kept things flowing. Food came out fast, plates were hot, and no one looked like they were in the weeds. Respect. We were too stuffed for dessert, which honestly felt like a missed opportunity but hey, that just gives me an excuse to come back. TL;DR: Big flavors Bomb shrimp Kabobs done right Saffron rice for days Hustling staff Modesto gem Definitely worth the stop if you're passing through or just want to feel like you earned a cheat day. Would love to return on a less hectic night to try dessert and a few more cocktails. Solid 4 stars.

We have been here many times over the years and it's always great. Tonight was no execption. Friday night and was busy, but got a seat in the bar. Service was VERY good and attentive. Food was full of flavor as it always it. My Lulu was a bit dry, but not too bad. The ambience is always cool, and the staff friendly. It is a unique place for sure, but great for parties or date night. We recommend!

We went Modesto mall after shopping my kids got hungry, looking for Kabob place find Skewers kabob we get there nice and clean place, and food was yummy and Customer service was amazing. Highly recommend

Food and service (Erin) is most amazing as always. Everything is so consistently great. The salmon is buttery and flaky on the inside but has a nice grilled char on the outside. The garlic saffron chicken is to die for. The fluffy rice is always cooked to perfection--we like to add some Shiraz salad to it for crunch. The service is impeccable and never disappoints. We love, love this place!

10/10 the skewer sampler is the perfect portion size ( I shared with my daughter) and the flavor is so delicious. I also had their in house ice tea and it was also amazing . We did try the tiramisu and that was also perfection. I highly recommend giving this place a try! Staff was also amazing

Called in an order to go. It was ready at the specified time. Got the grape dolma appetizer and chicken and shish combo. For $10, they only give you 4 dolmas which is expensive! At other Mediterranean restaurants I've been to, they at least serve you 6 for the same price. The chicken and shish combo was delicious. They serve quite a bit of meat for $29. I had enough for at least 2 meals. I asked for the shish to be cooked medium rare though and it was medium well.

My wife and I stopped by for lunch on a Monday, and yes, I know Mondays can be the "off" day when the main chef isn't in. Still, Skewers has long been one of my wife's favorite spots, so we figured, why not? We ordered lunch and drinks. My wife chose a spritzer, which showed up about five minutes after our food arrived. The restaurant wasn't busy, so it left me wondering if the drink sat waiting at the bar a bit too long. Not a big deal, we were happy to overlook it. But when my plate arrived, my very first bite had a long black hair in it. That was an instant dealbreaker. Our waitress handled it professionally and immediately offered to remake the meal, but once you pull a hair halfway down your throat, there's really no recovering the appetite. My wife ordered the Lulu Kabob, which has always been her go-to, but this time it tasted noticeably different , not terrible, just off from what she normally loves here. She ended up eating the rice instead, which thankfully was still solid. The staff were kind and apologetic, but overall, the experience fell flat. We've enjoyed Skewers in the past, but after this visit, we probably won't be back.

Took my hubby here for his Birthday/our Anniversary lunch to get the day started...the service was great welcoming and the food was good nice light and healthy

Terrible service, hostess was talking to the person behind me when I approach her podium, confused me as I am entering. Then, she insisted to seat me in the lounge yet I was saying I would like to dine in. "Booth is available in the lounge." I was like okay, sat there in the corner by the back and the bar.... Bar tender said start you with water, I was like sounds good. Bring a water as he serves another customer, pulls a straw with his hands put in the water... comes back and says, gotta finish a to go order... goes make drinks, socialize with regulars, hugs customers and goes around making drinks.... I don't have much time for lunch at that point, I am ready to order and cannot wait much for food. Train your staff please, I was checking the place to hold an event there. Changed my mind...

I normally love Perisan food, but this was quite underwhelming especially for the price. We had the sampler of appetizers- I wish the dolmas were a little more tart/citrus and the filling inside to be a little more tender. I really enjoyed the cucumber salad and the hummus off of the plate. I had ordered the soltani --it was very dry and was not very juicy. I cannot think of the seasonings but something tasted a little off? The steak was very tender and cooked so well. I enjoyed this one more in particular, but the price point was a little steep. My friend had the chicken skewers- we were very disappointed that it was so dry , it was great that we had taziki and hummus from the sampler because we used that to dip it. The grilled tomato helps bring a little more moisture. our server was great and very nice. the interior of this place was romatic, dark, and definitely great for date night or maybe for a business event. The lower stars was mostly based off of flavor of food and pricepoint.

WoWa WeWa!!! Come here because I told you to! Food is as good as it gets and it's a huge restaurant with a bar. All the food items were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The staff were also nice and pleasant. FYI: Since this place is that good it tends to get packed. Come hungry, but be prepared to wait.

I tried this restaurant for the first time last week very delicious food selection. I was excited that they had Vegetarian/Vegan options as well. I ordered the Eggplant Stew, it was very good The decor of the restaurant was very inviting and our server was very nice. I will visit again when I'm back in Modesto.

I love love kabobs and I love love love Skewers kabobs. All the different kabobs are delicious. The chicken is so tender and scrumptious, the beef shish and lula are moist and tasty. I can eat these kabobs everyday. The rice is so good as well. Its a huge restaurant that has a bar with tables, main dinning room area with different levels and even up stairs with multiple rooms for banquet meetings or parties. A great place to bring people from out of town or a date, the family night out or if you have a big party to entertain. Go and enjoy, make sure to try a bunch of appetizers. The humus is one of my favorites.

Came here for a early Father's Day dinner. I called the day off to make reservations and I was told everything was booked. I took my chances and went in and asked around 6pm. Kristen the manager I think, did her thing!! She made it possible. You have no idea how grateful I am. Give her a raise!! Give her a vacation! Give her something!

This place was great. Friends brought me here for a new experience! I waitress was amazing and the food was delicious. There were belly dancers in the main room and the bar wasn't too loud you couldn't enjoy a good conversation. Highly recommend the trio appetizer which gives you a taste of the chicken, beef and shrimp skewers

Based on the reviews I was excited to try this spot, but it fell flat for me. I was here during lunch hours so it wasn't busy and the service was lacking. Our hostess was great, but the server was slow, didn't refill our waters, we waiting forever for the check and to go boxes, etc. The very basics were just not done and in my book service goes a long way. The food was just ok. The Mediterranean Sampler was ehhh. I've had much better hummus and baba ganoush at other establishments. I ordered the combo Kabob and the meat and veggies were over charred. It definitely took over the taste of the meat, and wasn't great. Presentation is nice and the place looks good inside, but it just hit the mark for me.

We love Skewers and always stop here when we are in town. The food is just great. The place is large and beautiful inside and out. It is spotless. The service is so very good. All the servers are super nice and they get to you straight away and they don't rush you. They know the menu and can guide you. The seating is comfortable and the other patrons seems happy. It is a calming place to be. Their Roasted Garlic Hummus is some of the best in town and we just love their fresh Cilantro and Jalapenos blended Roasted Garlic Hummus. They have a marinated chicken breast grilled over open flames with Lemon Butter Garlic sauce which is a must try and it comes with their great rice. Their Sultan's Plate is so great. it is Marinated Filet Mignon Barg with a Skewer of Lula. There is nothing not to like here. Any skewer you have will be great. We have had most. Their shrimp dishes are also amazing. Have a great time.

Always a Modesto winner, try the burgers during the week up until four beef or lamb / lamb combo and the low carb Brad special is really tempting if you're dieting. Also, you have never had any rice better than you can get at Skewers

First thing I noticed upon walking into the restaurant was the ambiance. The ambience is very chill with a contributing minimalistic interior design and low lighting. The Mediterranean style decor and art was a nice touch to the ambiance. The service of our waitress (Erin) had a very friendly and welcoming approach along with a perfect amount of humor to make the experience extra enjoyable while taking our orders. I got the Garlic Saffron Chicken Kabob and it was splendid with the perfect amount of balanced flavor, exceptionally tender, and moist chicken! The vegetables of the dish were grilled carrots, tomatoes, and zucchini. I typically don't enjoy zucchini but the vegetables seasoning was very balancing to the taste of the vegetables. My only downside critique for the dish would be the rice. It was very well done but it could use a sauce to top it with. My choice of dessert was the Affogato, which had splendidly flavored Turkish coffee and the cocoa powder on top of the whipped cream had a delightful touch of bitterness to add to the dish. Overall 8.5/10

I came here to eat lunch, the service was so long, I had to go to my next appointment and I was waiting for the bill. It was so long I had to rush that I forgot my barely eaten food in a take out box. I called a few minutes when I realized I forgot my food. They threw it away already.

I went there with family for lunch,,,,I have worked in 5 star restaurants and Hotels in Food & Beverage department for 7 years. I have never seen that kind of food presentation and quality. The food was cold. I ordered Lula Kabob and it was hard as a rock, The only good thing that happened was that we had a very pleasing server; otherwise, it was all a big disaster. If you plan to visit that restaurant maybe you might have a better experience than we had. Good Luck.

The place is updated. It's clean and has an upper level, booths and tables to be seated. The service is excellent. The dinnerware is super cute. I was able to enjoy the experience with a large group. All the food was delicious. Thank you

Picked up a catering order from Skewers. They have wonderful options that are all crowd pleasers When I'm doing a lunch appointment at my customer offices, I never hesitate to offer Skewers. Consistently flavorful kabobs. Their catering menu has different catering options. We always do the Lula and Chicken Kabobs that comes with salad, rice and grilled veggies. I also add on hummus and the cucumber yogurt dip So delicious! Will be back soon

From the moment I stepped inside, the atmosphere pulled me in, warm lighting, upbeat staff, and the kind of scent that says you are about to remember this meal. I had the kabob combo, and every bite was seasoned like someone cared. Not rushed. Not commercial. Just honest food done right. The portions were generous, the flavor deep, and the meat grilled with purpose. The service was attentive without hovering. They didn't just serve...they hosted. That is rare. And if you are looking for a place where food meets feeling? Where you don't just eat but arrive...this is it. Skewers does not try to impress. It connects. I'll be back.

This place is amazing. The ambiance, service and great food are second to none. We started with the appetizer sampler (I love dolmas), garlic chicken skewer, and the ground beef skewers. Huge portions. For dessert we had the pomegranate ice cream with dark chocolate. It is the best ice cream I've ever had. Perfect for a date or large parties.

This is the follow up to our second visit to skewer kebab house. On Father's Day my wife three of my children and one grandson made the long drive to the restaurant. Looking forward to a great meal. Unfortunately, my daughters Caesar salad with chicken skewers came with the fly on the chicken. My son's lamb shank was heavily salty, and had to re-order a different entrée I would love to say I will be back, but at this point, I am not sure, maybe they were having a bad day. I don't know, but on a day like that, you would expect the kitchen to be at the top of their game. I know that every restaurant has off days, but this one was a big disappointment for me.

Great service and a great place to eat I ordered chicken skewers and it was moist and amazingly flavored. Atmosphere wise a little upscale with a nice happy hour selection. It felt not too cramped but nice and cozy. 4 stars because the flat bread is dry and you should serve a sauce with it like cucumber or something it was dry! Also the brown jasmine rice was salty. For all else I would bring my wife here.

Had reservations here for a Friday night. Parking lot was small and full. Luckily there's a parking garage across the street (not sure if you need to pay). Once we got there, it didn't take too long to get seated. The place is really nice, decor is more upscale. There a bar which is distaste than the dining area. There's music as well. The food was good. The lamb didn't have much seasoning/flavor, but both the lamb and the filet mignon was cooked just right. all the staff was very friendly, smiled often. The only problem we had was that our waitress was not available. She took our drink order but then we waited a LONG time to order food. Once we got food and finished, she was again no where to be found. Finally when we did see her we were able to get our check. However we waited a very long time again just for her to pick up our the payment. We spent close to 40 minutes just sitting there waiting (altogether). I would have loved to give them more stars but the wait just killed us.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner last night. Our waitress Erin was outstanding! She was so friendly and efficient. The bussers and food runners were also great! Our food was a 10/10 and just wanted to thank everyone for making our visit top notch!

What a treat! My brother and I went there just by chance tonight. The menu looked fabulous online so we were excited. This restaurant is very nice. We were pleasantly surprised. We ended up picking out a few appetizers to share. They were all very good. My brother's favorite was the eggplant appetizer and I couldn't choose. I loved them all the best part about it was our server. Her name is Anastasia. She was fabulous and guided us to a couple of items. We will definitely be back again so happy we found this gem in Modesto.

The Son and I stopped by and had lunch and drink here . Always wonderful staff and food . We sat in the lounge area today. Mandy took care of us for drinks and food . Super Friendly and courteous, it's so pretty in the restaurant this time of year . All decorated for the Holidays :) we found out we arrived during Happy Hour 2-7pm . I ordered a happy hour special - Chardonnay 5 dollars . Lula pops appetizers 1/2 off Son ordered a Obies Washington Apple Cocktail- I took a sip . It was very refreshing. For lunch he had his favorite the Shish Kabob I had the Greek Salad with chicken skewer. Everything was cooked perfectly. Always a wonderful meal at this establishment:)

The restaurant was pact for a Monday afternoon. We were sat and greeted in a very timely manner and by a welcoming waitress. Our order came with little wait time considering the numbers of people already there. I enjoyed the grilled salmon and tiger prawn skewer with rice and roasted vegis., my wife enjoyed the chicken skewer with humus and a salad. We will be back our meal was very enjoyable and the staff was very attentive and welcoming. Thank you.

Loved this place!! Decor, great service, and incredible food. We are vegetarian and were so happy with the options. The eggplant dip and hummus were highlights.

My fiancé and I made reservations to enjoy a date night since we had a babysitter finally this past Saturday and omg truly wonderful. We drive past the building all the time but never checked it out. Environment was phenomenal, even the table next to us were so sweet they sent us a dessert to congratulate us. High energy wonderful art. My favorite appetizer was the Dolmas yum yum yum! We will be back. Thank you to our amazing waiter as well.

I'm requesting this restaurant to open a satellite location in Los Angeles! Quality ingredients, delicious juicy flavors, excellent service and a spacious dining experience for lunch and bigger parties. I absolutely loved their Salmon Skewer and Filet Mignon Barg Entree. Juicy, perfect seasoned, tender and mouthwatering good! Their pistachio Homemade Baklava was a home run! Across the street from Doubletree Hilton hotel, we dinned here all three days of our stay. The BEST food in Modesto! Clean, healthy and delicious.

THE BEST SIT DOWN RESTAURANT FOR KEBABS IN THE VALLEY. hands down! Portions are huge! Flavors are amazing! We always have enough to take home for lunch the next day lol! Service is always great. Staff are always so nice and attentive and very thoughtful. We've been here close to 10x already (yes it's that good) and not once have we ever had to ask for refills on our drinks, or they always just knew what was needed when dining with a toddler even before asking (ex: a plastic plate instead of a glass one, juice with a side of water if needed to water it down, smaller spoons, etc. ) these may be minuscule things for others, but as a parent they are literally small roads to my heart. Hahaha We've come to bring family and friends who are visiting from out of town/state. We do date nights here and even just regular Wednesday night dinners. Their service and food has always been consistent and it's always worth driving three towns over for this place. Never change Skewers Kabob house! Ya'll are doing amazing!

My friend Kate recommended I check out Skewers Kabob House during my visit to Modesto. I enjoyed one of the best meals I've had in a long time. I ordered the Shish Kabobs. The meat was so tender and juicy. The basmati rice with veggies were the perfect compliment to my kabobs. A mocktail was a treat after a great work day. Superb!

I aways love eating here, but this time I tried dessert. Oh my it was so yummy I had the Parisian saffron ice cream. It wasn't too sweet, it has pistachios in it but they're cut up in small pieces so it's not overwhelming. I don't usually eat that much ice cream, but for me it was perfect and I finished it all my self. Our server was great and I wish I could remember his name. As usual the restaurant was clean and very cozy. We sat in a booth and really enjoyed ourselves.

Look no further, Skewer's is the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. The inside is as unique as the outside, setting it apart from others. We felt like we were somewhere else other than downtown Modesto CA, enjoyable dining out. The decor and atmosphere is relaxing and clean, friendly staff and the waitress was pleasant (wish I got her name so I could let everyone know especially the owner of the restaurant), she deserves recognition. We enjoyed every bite. Ordered lentil soup, dolmas, Greek salad,Torchi and skewer sampler, OMG, the best. Large portions that make for sharing, that's what the 2 of us did, shared. Enjoyed a Lemoncello on the rocks.... Yummo!! We will make this our new favorite place. Thank you

We decided to have lunch here on Sunday. The ambiance of this restaurant is nice. Service was great too. For appetizer we went for the bruschetta from the east. The toasted pita had a jalapeño cilantro hummus topped tomatoes, toasted eggplant, Anaheim chiles, fresh basil, and red onions and a sprinkle of french feta cheese. This was really good. The texture was creamy and so tasty. As for our main dishes my boyfriend ordered the garlic saffron chicken kabob and I ordered the lula kabob. My dish came with two kabobs and I had to take the rest home because I couldn't finish it. I thought the kabobs kind of tasted a little bit dry and needed some sauce to go with it. My boyfriend's dish tasted good. The lemon garlic sauce was delicious. We didn't order any desserts this time around but we will next time though. Overall, great food and service!
