Seattle Restaurant Openings to Know for October 2025 | Eater Seattle

"Taking over the former Kamp space, this bistro serves a mostly traditional American menu that straddles the line between diner and steakhouse." - Harry Cheadle

Skillet & Vine Bistro - Review - Madison Valley - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Taking over the address formerly occupied by Kamp is this restaurant touting “elevated comfort food.” Among the main dishes are grilled paneer, country fried steak with country sausage gravy, and gourmet grilled cheese. Breakfast includes pancakes and french toast. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Gabe Guarente

The owners were so charming and warm. They made us feel like regulars right off the bat. The food was sublime! I had the steak and it was cooked perfectly. The chimichurri sauce was complex and a perfect accompaniment to the steak. My husband had the the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and it was truly one of the best either of us had ever tasted. Such welcoming and genuinely friendly service seems to be in short supply these days, and these folks have made this experience they’re like having you over for dinner at their home. Bravo!

Dined in a blissfully romantic setting with my +1 earlier this evening at Capitol Hill’s newest bistro - Skillet & Vine! Everything we ordered was top notch yummy. Tried the crispy fresh Parmesan Truffle Fries + Garlic aioli. You’ll love the Rustic Harvest Skillet with its grilled paneer + veggies + rice & yogurt dip, a wholesome meal! The gently sweet & tart Peachy Veggie sandwich was another delight. Finally topped it off with NY Cheesecake and their signature Skillet Brownie .. I know! :) Service was great and so was the ambiance (mood lighting + mellow jazzy music). Great place for family gatherings, romantic dinners, or a musical night on the town (yep, live events are coming). Looking forward to being back here!

Loved this place! I ordered the club sandwich and it was exceptionally flavorful (especially the house made patty!) The food was fresh and clearly made with care. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. There is a heated, dog friendly patio, and the staff even brought out free treats for our dog. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

The new owners have done a wonderful job. Tasteful atmosphere, great food, and terrific service. You can tell they have put a lot of effort into making this a special spot in Madison Valley. And Glenn even poured us some Porto for a special occasion!

What a cool little bistro! Had the special steak and lobster. Wow! And the Tiramisu was so good I could've had a bucket of it. Great and knowledgeable bar tender and staff. I'll be back.

I have been here twice now and had the chicken fried steak. It is excellent, and I have high standards for my beloved dish. I love restaurants that have great acoustics that allow for conversation while enjoying the music. You can tell that they spent time designing to ensure the sound is well balanced. This thoughtfulness provides a beautiful atmosphere to connect with friends over food and drink. The service has been amazing as well. They really care about the quality of their food, and brag that everything is from scratch. They also want to evolve based on the community. This going to be one of my regular spots going forward.

The service was absolutely lovely! All of the staff members we interacted with were so sweet and kind. We had breakfast food & I’d say it was better than a diner, but still very diner vibes. Their menu overall looked awesome and my four friends and I all agreed we’d love to go back for dinner sometime! In a great location too, just a short walk from the arboretum. Perfect place to grab a bite after a long scenic walk.

We recently moved into the area and Skillet and Vine happened to be the first place that we grabbed food at. This place has it all; It’s very endearing, warm and well-decorated. The layout is sleek and clean. EVERY. SINGLE. THING. has been amazing. The food is familiar, but with a more authentic undertone. They make so much of their food in-house, and it’s all been fantastic! The staff is a team of gems, and the owners and employees have all been so warm and friendly. It’s really helped with welcoming us to the neighborhood. I would STRONGLY recommend hitting this place if you’re in the area, and it’s VERY worth it to come in wherever you’re located in Seattle.

Yelp
What a delightful find. We were looking for something a bit different and Skillet & Vine had it all. The space is very large and comfortable. The menu is extensive and the staff quite warm and friendly. We tried a paneer dish, some soup and a fried bread with chicken dish. Everything was fresh, nicely prepared and well presented. They also have a nice selection of beer and wine and a full bar. The prices are very reasonable given the quality and quantity of the food. Clearly worth a return visit.

Yelp
We love this place! It's a great neighborhood spot to come to on a weeknight or weekend. The owners are so nice and welcoming. We've been here for breakfast and dinner, both have been great and lots of options on the menus. Great food and drink prices as well!

Yelp
Burgers are really good. Corned beef hash was excellent. Over easy eggs were perfect.

Yelp
There is just no reason NOT to come here. Large and varied menu, something for everyone, came with friends, all of whom loved their menu choices. Prices noticeably reasonable, owners and staff went out of their way to please and be charming. Have always appreciated that outdoor space. Looking forward to their vision of rotating monthly international cuisine nights...what a welcome addition to Madison Valley!
