Got the classic double burger and fries and sat outside to enjoy the meal. Very good smash burger though not my favorite burger. Everything was super hot and fresh off the grill so I really appreciated that. Too much mustard on my burger, I think the skinny louie would’ve been a better choice. Great outdoor vibes on a sunny weekend!

Skinny Louie has smash burgers, fries and milkshakes. A Florida import, it is located on Broadway in Nomad. The setting is simple and clean with both indoor and outdoor seating. Fatima was happy to see that I had returned as I had popped in to see it last week. The menu too is basic. I ordered a Classic Smash burger with all the trimmings except for tomato and fries. Fatima offered me a drink on her but I had a bottle of water in my bag. The burger was thin and smashed well but I found the toppings to have little flavor. The fries were excellent. Service was good. No restrooms here. Currently only cards are accepted.

They don't take cash, so just beware. It's not bad, but the guy needs a little help with his English. He gave me an extra burger when I only wanted one (charged me for two burgers). It's all good; next time I'll have to be extremely vocal, that's all.

SKINNY LOUIE CHEESEBURGER Grilled onions, double American cheese, pickles & Louie sauce 🍔🍔🔥🍔🔥 I love the name Skinny Louie cause it is the perfect place that is skinny in what you don’t need, and Fat with the good things you do need. I got the tripple cheeseburger 🍔 and it was juicy, flavorful, full of grilled onions 🧅 which I love so much, melted good cheese, and the 🍟 were amazing. I love the vibe, the welcoming staff, the fact you can watch how they press the beef ( see the video ) and that you have seats. Go to Skinny 🍔🍟🧅🥰

Skinny Louie is a hidden gem! Had an amazing time here—great vibes, solid drinks, and even better music. The atmosphere is super laid-back but still lively, perfect for a night out with friends or even a casual date. The staff were friendly and fast, and the crowd was fun without being overwhelming. Definitely one of those spots you end up coming back to without even planning it. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!

I was beyond excited to see this smash burger gem land in NYC after falling in love with it during a trip to Miami. Let me tell you—it did not disappoint. Nestled just a few blocks from the iconic Flatiron Building, the new location is not only spacious but also perfectly placed for burger lovers on the go or those wanting to kick back and enjoy the vibe. From the moment I walked in, the service was warm and welcoming—Jacob in particular made my visit feel like a VIP experience. Now let’s talk about the real star: the burger. Juicy, flavorful, and packed with that signature sear and crisp from a perfect smash. The bacon? Chef’s kiss. They’ve truly brought the magic of Miami to Manhattan. These burgers aren’t just good—they’re changing the game. Highly, highly recommend giving them a try. Your taste buds will thank you.

This establishment offers some of the best smash burgers in New York City. Upon entering, you are greeted with a retro ambiance characterized by white tiled walls and red tables. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. I ordered a strawberry milkshake, cheese burger and fries. Both the burger and the milkshake—featuring chunks of fruit were truly enjoyable. The fries, however, could have been warmer and more satisfying, as they were somewhat cold and comparable to cafeteria-style fries. Overall, the meal was delicious and well worth the price. I recommend indulging in some comforting food here and savoring the experience.

I had the pleasure and unexpected delight of meeting Gonzalo - the owner of Skinny Louie - at the restaurant. The quality of the product is self-evident; he uses a very high standard of meat with a real emphasis on the taste of the brioche bun, and it shows when you get your burger. It is without doubt the best burger I’ve ever had, and I say this as a resident in london’s meat packing district, who regularly buys very high quality meat. Thank you to the team for an exceptional smash burger. I look forward to a London SL restaurant opening. Thanks mate!

Yelp
I stopped by Skinny Louie on my way home from work, curious to finally try a smash burger, and I'm so glad I did. It's not every day you find a vegan/vegetarian-friendly smash burger, but Skinny Louie offers an Impossible patty for all three of their burger options. Super simple, no-frills, and conveniently one of the few spots in the area open late. I went with the Skinny Louie burger (no cheese) and paired it with a cookies and cream shake. They also have bottled water and old-school glass bottled Coke and Sprite, which I thought was a nice touch. The burger: The patty-to-bun ratio was no joke--definitely a 2:1, which made every bite feel extra satisfying. The caramelized onions and pickles were great, but the real standout was the sauce. Whatever it was, it brought everything together perfectly. The shake: I had to wait a bit for it to melt before I could sip it, but wow. If there was an "extra cookies" option, it felt like they already checked that box. Cookies and cream is my go-to, and this one might be the best I've had in a long time. The staff & vibe: I was greeted right away by Atisha, who was super welcoming and took my order at the register. My food came out pretty quickly. They called it over the speaker (great for outdoor seating), and also announced it inside, which was helpful since I stayed in (it was a little too chilly out). Very vintage, burger joint vibe going on here. All in all, this place hit the spot. Solid veggie option, great service, and a killer shake to top it off. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Idk anything about burgers. I don't eat them. Ever. But this place has some amazing fries and a chocolate brownie milkshake that is to die for. Satisfies my late-night cravings. Louie sauce is good. I wish they remembered to put it in the bag with every order but I learned they're less likely to forget it if you order it separately as opposed to an add-on to the fries order. It's a sad night when I want one of these shakes so badly but they're actually closed. They're so tasty!!!

Yelp
Skinny Louie is a smash burger chain from Florida that has expanded to NYC. The place has a retro 1960s vibe with white tiles and red tables. While the burger was decent quality and they do offer milkshakes too, there are better smash burgers out there. For example, 7th Street Burger's burgers are even better and juicier and are of a similar size. And compared to their competitors, Skinny Louie is charging higher prices. For example, a cheeseburger here is over $10, while 7th Street Burger charges $6.50. Even the milkshakes at Skinny Louie are almost $10. In the end, I'd rate this place as a pass.

Yelp
Was excited to try this smash burger place but unfortunately didn't meet my expectations. Tried the double on the classic cheeseburger, seasonal truffle and their applewood bacon and they were all mid to us at best. The meat was unusually dry and we were not a fan of the bun- the texture of the bun felt like it was old and dried out. The fries were okay, not much of a standout and their cookies n cream milkshake was decent.

Yelp
Smash burgers are still the rage in New York. Skinny Louie from Florida has landed in Nomad near another Sunshine State cafe. I had seen it on Wednesday and decided to sample it for lunch today. The menu is minimalist. I chose a classic burger with all the trimmings except tomato. Naturally I had the fries. As the milkshakes were $8.99, I decided to skip it. Fatima, who I had met on Wednesday, and who was happy that I had returned offered me a drink on her but I thanked her and refused. I had a water bottle in my bag. I sat on a high stool inside the restaurant. The burger was smashed fine but somehow the trimmings didn't have oomph. The fries were tasty. Another customer was enjoying her lunch and told me that she liked it a lot. Would I return? For the fries and to have the milkshake. Plus to say hello to Fatima who was kind.

Yelp
Disappointing burger. Service is friendly & fast. Restaurant looked clean and I enjoyed the outdoor seating. However I can not say this is one of the best burgers in Nyc.

Yelp
Went late on a Saturday night. They had Decent burgers, okay fries and fast service... the strawberry shake had a graham cracker taste to it which was different. Not bad but pretty average overall.

Yelp
Came back during the day. Burger was bland. Fries tasted like old oil. So this place is def hit or miss.

Yelp
Despite the music being way too loud and how can a burger place not carry diet cokes the burger was quite good as well as the fries! Only complaint about burger is that there was waaaaay too much of the sauce!!

Yelp
Stopped in for a to-go dinner on Friday night. The employees are friendly and the place is clean. Very disappointed in the food, WORST burger ever. Someone was very heavy handed with the salt and I had to throw out my burger 3 bites in, it was inedible. I also had the strawberry bliss shake and that was ok.

Yelp
Excellent smash burgers. We shared one and ate outside at one of their tables. I would recommend trying one here.

Yelp
Burger extremely thin, almost paper thin, and flavorless. Felt like I was eating a plain bun w mustard, ketchup, onions, pickles. Nonetheless, this burger is apparently very popular in Miami so there might be a severe quality control problem with the move to NYC. Or I might just not see the appeal. I love smashburgers! I go out of my way to find a "7th Street" smashburger or the "Smashburger" chain. A great smashburger is thinner than a typical burger but not this thin and certainly not this flavorless. The staff are wonderful and the store has a great vibe.

Yelp
The burgers are good but there's so much sauce on them they get soggy if you don't eat them right away. They have good fries as well.

Yelp
Best smash burger I've ever had! Wow. Perfect caramelization on the meat. Excellent late night dive.

Yelp
Best smash burger hands down- price for NyC cheap!!! Eat it outside and people watch. Burgers cooked to perfection here!

Cheryl S.

Yelp
Overpriced burger. Paper thin beef patty, cheese not even melted. You're eating mostly the buns.

Yelp
DECEIVING: I purchased a double slider burger to go. When I got home, there was no double slider, just a single. Very disappointing because I was charged for a double slider burger. The burger was good but make sure you check your order if taking out.

Yelp
Just enjoyed my first visit to a Skinny Louie. Is it the best burger in the world? No. Is it the best fries in the world? No. Is it the best strawberry shake in the world? No. But all are solid. Give it a try. My order came out quickly, was accurate and tasted great. Seating area was clean and bright. Recommend.
