Best known for burgers, Skirted Heifer also serves up a creative, locally sourced hot dog that’s garnered rave reviews from Eater Denver and 5280 Magazine. Their ‘Heifer Dog’ features a hormone-free, all-beef frank from regional ranchers, topped with inventive combos like jalapeño bacon, housemade pickles, and their signature cheese ‘skirt.’ The vibrant downtown location reflects their commitment to sustainability and community—so you can indulge with a clear conscience.

Best burger I've ever had. I ate here one year ago and thought it was the best. Back again and can confirm it definitely is. Not much room to sit, and you have to pay for parking at the downtown meters, but it's totally worth it for the amazing skirted burgers. I'll most likely be swinging back through Colorado Springs on my way back South just to eat here again.

Had the Hangover burger and with it skirted. Very tasty and great meat. Loved the other cheese on it as well. Got the sweet potato fries cooked a little extra. Would definitely go back! Thought it was VERY reasonable price for CO and on main strip downtown.

It's a small dive with pretty awesome burgers! To be honest, it's a no frills place with hard parking, but if you can get past that, then you're in for a real treat. These burgers are generously topped and made to order!! This isn't a place to go if you're looking for an upscale night out. This is a place for people who love their burgers and want to people watch as they enjoy the view of the passing crowds and looking put into the park across the way. Bring your appetite and grab some extra napkins

A lovely little hole-in-the-wall joint with attentive and friendly staff serving made-to-order fresh burgers and hand-cut fries! I got the Smoke Show and was not disappointed. Do yourself a favor and grab some heifer sauce while you're there. It is incredible.

When Skirted Heifer first opened, I didn't enjoy, but had a better food experience this past visit. Walking in on a bright sunny day, it was nice to see indoor and outdoor seating. The chairs are metal and short, inside, but they also have wooden high back booths. Only napkins are found on the wooden tables, but the condiments are not far, as it is a small space. The ketchup seemed to be homemade, the ranch was tasty, the skirt of the burgers /fries were yummy, and the fountain drinks good. After the meal, we decided to try the frozen custard, which had more of a consistency of a frosty than custard, leaving us unsatisfied. Overall, I rated lower because despite just having opened, for the day, the tables were sticky and the bathroom really needed help (maybe a full reno) as it was not only beyond dirty/dusty, but the faucet has a pretty large corrosion spot. While overall was good, I simply couldn't overlook what I mentioned.

If you didn't know, these are the best burgers in town and proprietary to CO. This is NOT the burger you'll find in a fast food drive thru, no comparison. Consistent quality that Never disappoints. Outdoor patio seating is also available if you're into people watching. The pure cane soda and their homemade ketchup make this place a must go to

Been years since I've eaten here and it exceed expectations. From the customer service to the the food itself we left full and fully impressed. We ordered the Pueblo, WITH the additional skirted cheddar cheese and the Belgian fries and shared all of it. It was amazing, I was definitely impressed. And it was plenty for us both to share. And if you're looking for a place where the fries are more homemade this is the place. It can feel a bit crowded inside as it is a smaller dinning area Highly recommend!

Looking for a good burger after a long hike and we are vacationers. My wife found this place and so glad she did. This is a run, do not walk to place. We can’t wait for our next vacation here so we can come back. Flavors were out of this world. Service at the counter was awesome. Gal with the cool purple makeup was so damn friendly. Please visit here.
