It had phenomenal flavor that was delicious to the last bite. The balance of condiments is spot on; each ingredient enhances the overall taste without overwhelming it. The egg was cooked to perfection, with a runny yolk that adds a rich creaminess. Pair this with their sweet potato fries, which are delightfully crisp and seasoned with just the right amount of salt, creating a perfect complement to the burger. I only rated this restaurant a 4 star because of the seating and how overwhelming it is inside the location!

Google
As a Level 7 Google Local Guide with over 18 million photo views and ranked in the top 10% of restaurant reviewers on Google, I can confidently say this: The Skirted Heifer serves the best burger I have ever had. The signature Skirted Heifer burger is a carnivore’s dream — grass-fed beef wrapped in a fried cheddar cheese “skirt” that extends well past the bun. The flavor and texture are absolutely outstanding, and it’s so good that the fries (which were average) aren’t even needed. The burger stands on its own as the star of the meal. They also score points for thoughtful touches: high-quality metal trays for plating, Boylan’s cane sugar sodas instead of high fructose corn syrup, and even gluten-free bun options, showing they care about both quality and customer health. The restaurant itself is clean and welcoming, with excellent customer service. Seating includes a patio and a huge open indoor window that creates an airy, open feel. It’s a busy spot (and for good reason) right in the heart of Colorado Springs, directly across from the park — the perfect location. The walls are lined with awards like Best of Colorado Springs year after year, plus a Guy Fieri endorsement from Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives — both well deserved. The only limitation is that there’s just one small restroom, which is clean but lacks a changing table. Families should be aware of this, though it doesn’t diminish the overall excellence of the experience. Bottom line: 5 stars without hesitation. If you’re in Colorado Springs, this is a must-visit.

Google
I had the pleasure of visiting while on vacation. I wasn't a fan on the skinny(really) fries. I did love the burger. I built my own with all the ingredients I like. I like that this establishment has homemade ketchup. Also the drinks are delicious. Great employees. Very welcoming.

Google
Absolutely delicious. Grass fed and finished. Local ingredients, gluten free options. Best burger I’ve had in a while. Service was awesome and you can sit outside.

Google
It's a small dive with pretty awesome burgers! To be honest, it's a no frills place with hard parking, but if you can get past that, then you're in for a real treat. These burgers are generously topped and made to order!! This isn't a place to go if you're looking for an upscale night out. This is a place for people who love their burgers and want to people watch as they enjoy the view of the passing crowds and looking put into the park across the way. Bring your appetite and grab some extra napkins

When Skirted Heifer first opened, I didn't enjoy, but had a better food experience this past visit. Walking in on a bright sunny day, it was nice to see indoor and outdoor seating. The chairs are metal and short, inside, but they also have wooden high back booths. Only napkins are found on the wooden tables, but the condiments are not far, as it is a small space. The ketchup seemed to be homemade, the ranch was tasty, the skirt of the burgers /fries were yummy, and the fountain drinks good. After the meal, we decided to try the frozen custard, which had more of a consistency of a frosty than custard, leaving us unsatisfied. Overall, I rated lower because despite just having opened, for the day, the tables were sticky and the bathroom really needed help (maybe a full reno) as it was not only beyond dirty/dusty, but the faucet has a pretty large corrosion spot. While overall was good, I simply couldn't overlook what I mentioned.

Google
Absolutely delicious burgers crafted with love and care! Juicy patty with crispy shoestring fries both cooked to perfection! I'm usually a ketchup fan but the Heifer sauce is to die for! The team was also super awesome and even remembered my name after the lunch rush when I came up to get seconds. Hopefully you get to try the Hot Goat someday--it was everything I wanted in a burger! ❤️❤️❤️

Google
Wow the food was so fantastic! Got the weekly special burger which was goat cheese, bacon and some other items on ciabatta. Super tasty and you can try their sauces. Very small space inside with limited seating. Line was long but moved quickly. I would love to come back and try the custard!

Yelp
We wanted something different. We ordered takeout and I'm so glad we did. Freshest burgers ever. The Belgium fries were amazing. I was so full and still had half my burger left. I couldn't stop eating it. We had the classic and the b & b. I wasn't a fan of the crispy cheese on it but I took it off. We will definitely order from here again

Yelp
A small burger joint that seemed to be a big hit for the college kids. I will not go back. I figured if a celebrity ate here it has to be pretty good. The Classic Skirted on a garlic bun with LTO and Heifer sauce. The Heifer sauce is not for me, it looks like 1000 Island, the flavor is a bit flat. The Garlic bun lost its garlic somewhere with the hot. The burgers may as well be smash burgers, they are way too thin (like McDonalds). The burger if the week - I tasted the honey once, I think they forgot the "hot". The goat cheese was the highlight, nice tang but the paper thin burger was lost. The fries are great and if you drink soda it is made with cane sugar. It was a little slow to get our food but the place was slammed with college aged folks.

Yelp
After riding our dirt bikes some buddies and me stopped by for lunch. My friend that lives in CSPG had heard it was a great burger place. We stopped by and we were not disappointed. I had to try their namesake burger, the Skirted Heifer. Any burger with cheese hanging out from the bun is gonna be good. I had an order of fries with it and the whole meal was excellent. I had their beer mustard and fresh jalapenos and while it was a messy burger, it was a killer messy burger. The staff was extremely friendly and the whole place just had a friendly cozy vibe to it. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. I'll definitely go back when I'm in town.

Yelp
What is a Skirted Heifer you ask? Why it is one of the best burgers I have ever ate in my life. Seriously! While touring around in Colorado Springs, we were getting a little hungry and my spouse recommended we check out this place. He had seen it on DD&D's so off went to find this location. There are two in town. This location is small but had a line out the door. Limited seating but we snagged a couple of bar stools on the outdoor patio. The place was packed which to me is always a good sign. Skirted Heifer serves a unique burger. The beef is Colorado grass fed and grass finished. Buns are homemade and the garlic bun is so soft and tasty. Condiments are made in house as well which adds to the flavor of the burger. The burgers are made to order and you can enjoy them exactly the way you want. We tried two of the burgers. Initially, we thought we could share a burger. HA! That was a joke. Once we both bit into our burger we knew we had to have a second one. The first burger was on the garlic bun with no skirt but with everything else and we both fell in love instantly with the juiciness of the burger. We went back and as we had to try the skirted burger. The skirted burger has an extra layer of melted cheese that surrounds the burger like a skirt. Again this was an outstanding smorgasbord of flavor. Service was fantastic, friendly and terrific! So glad we stopped here and I would definitely recommend trying either location.

Yelp
Very very crowded and limited seating at this small restaurant in downtown Colorado Springs. The line moved quickly, but the food took quite a while to come out. Service was friendly and they recommended me to get my pueblo farmer burger skirted which is something I've never tried and was willing to give it a shot. I unfortunately was not a fan of the giant crispy cheese overflowing in my burger container. It really overpowered the taste of the burger and made it very greasy and messy to eat. I did appreciate them giving me a free drink after they asked if I was military. Always appreciate those kind gestures. If I do come back, I'll be sure to get my burger NOT skirted!

Yelp
This is my first 5 star review in a long time and it is well deserved. Pricing is very reasonable for the area and portion is generous. Staff is very friendly and quick. The burger place is casual but clean. Flavor delivered and I love the ability to customize each aspect of your burger. BEST TURKEY BURGER I have ever had hands down. Worth a try and worth your money!

Yelp
Stopped in at Skirted Heifer for our first meal in the city - we were starving. Walked in to the quaint spot, and immediately got local vibes. I decided to go with a skirted build your own burger with lettuce, tomato, fresh jalapenos, and beer mustard. This was a great choice. The skirted option is great if you want something a little over the top. The burger was well seasoned and had some crispiness to it. Fries were a good compliment and the ketchup almost seemed like it was made in house. Everyone here seemed really nice and helpful. Seems like their teas and sodas were a hit, but would've preferred a beer. All in all I had a great experience and would definitely come back to try some of their signature burgers.

Yelp
Heard of this place due to the fact it was on the show triple d.... With that being said I had high expectations, starting with the restaurant itself it was more of a walk up and order with limited seating inside with a patio with some hightop seats. The service was great we ordered exceptionally fast. The fires I think were the best part of the entire meal!! They were made fresh and perfectly seasoned with salt, the burger was a good sized patty and the skirted cheese on it had so much flavor.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was ok-- but hardly worth the $27 price tag for two burgers and one order of fries. Parking isn't free and was its own side quest But the main issue was the lack of cleanliness. Our table was sticky, and the place was generally unkempt. If management overlooks what's visible to customers, what corners are being cut behind the scenes? In short: unless your taste runs to overpriced mediocrity and back-alley ambiance, this one's a hard pass. Some places invite a second chance. This isn't one of them.

Yelp
Great burger spot!! First time in the area and trying this place. You order at the counter and may sit inside or outside. Very relaxed atmosphere. I love how they have a variety of toppings and sauces to choose from. The service is great and the food is fantastic!

Yelp
I really loved the burger and fries I got at the Skirted Heifer. I went with the build your own with lettuce, tomato, pickles and the cheddar skirt on garlic focaccia plus the belgian fries. It was AMAZING. I personally loved just eating the crispy skirt of cheese all on its own! Fries were skinny and crispy. They do natural sodas, but I just opted for iced tea. On the food front is a home run. The space is SMALL. It is counter service so I didn't expect a giant place, but it is tight with a few tables that get absolutely overwhelmed with customers waiting in line or for their food (not pleasant when trying to eat). I also went on a weekday and had no idea that the High School kids basically line up for fries here in the lunch hour. I mean in the less than an hour here I think 2 dozen high schoolers came through). So I would only come back when school is not in service - trying to eat with dozens of backpacks in your face sucks. It is downtown so parking is on the street and metered. We had no problem finding a spot, but judging by the signs around at other businesses you should definitely be sure you are aware of when your meter is up. At any rate, it is an awesome burger. The ambience brings it down.

Yelp
Honestly, this place was okay. The space inside is super limited, if i remembered correctly, there were about four 4-tops and maybe three 2-tops with the bar in the back seating maybe 6? Outside there's more room, a bar top on both sides and a couple of tables. We sat inside and it was packed on a lunch time on Friday and felt very tightly packed. This place I think was on the map because of Guy Fieri and his TV show. But honestly, I think that this place is just okay. Despite the long lines it did move relatively fast, the customer service was good, and the people taking the orders are friendly and welcoming . Waiting for the food, It was probably about a solid 5 to 10 minute wait for the burger maybe pushing more towards the 10 minutes. I had gotten the Oktoberfest burger, special, and friends had gotten the skirt burger. My Oktoberfest burger was very mid, the pretzel bread was not very pretzel flavored or textured, was very below average. I would rate it as a 2.5. The sauce was decent! Better than most. But the main attraction, the meat, was disappointing. The the burger meat was very dry. Surprisingly, there was a lot of grease and oil that dripped out, but the actual patty tasted pretty dry and wasn't very juicy, making it not that enjoyable to eat. My friend had said that the cheese on the skirted burger was good but the patty wasn't as dry as I had complained about so maybe I just had an off prepared burger ‍ not as sure. Overall, the flavor was very underwhelming and dry patty making the burger experience, not pleasant. Honestly, I probably would try to go back one more time, but it didn't really sell me the first time. Food 2 stars Service 4 stars Wait time 3 stars

Yelp
I've been coming here for years and I always order the same thing. Kids cheeseburger meal with added extra cost toppings so the price for a kids meal ends up a little over $10. For medical reasons I can't even finish half of that which is why that's what I order. Today I was told there's a new rule. If you are an adult you can still pay the same price but now you "aren't allowed to have the full kids meal" you have to choose if you don't want the drink or the fries. The staff said it's a new rule so I guess that's why I've never had anyone say that in the past 5 years. It's already hard enough to find parking and half the time the food is over salted so it's a 1 star all around.
google avatar

Mike D.

Yelp
Lots of burger options, but as a newbie I went with the original/classic. The skirted cheese...I loved it (the cheese is crisped on the flattop). One order of fries was more than enough for two people.) Not a cheap burger, but not overly expensive IMO. Will def revisit next time we're in CS.
google avatar

Yeni A.

Yelp
This is a sight to behold, the skirted burger! A layer of crispy cheese is added to a burger and you wonder how in the world you'll get the whole thing in your mouth.... Well, you'll have fun trying! The burger meat was perfectly cooked, the ingredients really complimented it, and the sauce.... Amazing. This was the burger of the day, the General TSO burger with sweet and sour delicious sauce. The service was great, and helped us make the decision, the guy behind the counter said it's his favorite burger, so we had to have it. It did not disappoint. I would definitely order this again. The ambiance was ok, small space, and while the seats were not super comfortable, we didn't mind because we ate those burgers so fast, there was not time to worry about seating. Will definitely make it a point to eat here next time I'm in the area. I wonder what burger combinations they will come up with next!?
google avatar

Yelp
It's hard to find a burger place that is really above and beyond. Too many burgers places nowadays just put a lot of weird toppings on a patty and thinks that that makes it unique and special. So glad that the Skirted Heifer is not like this. The place is really intentional on the the flavors and combination of toppings. It really shows when I took my first bite. It takes a lot for a burger to impress me but man my burger was truly amazing. I got the #3 with fries. Man, I can still remember the flavors! One of best burgers that I've had in a long time. The place itself is pretty simple and basic but really you would go there for the food.
google avatar

Nanea W.

Yelp
One of my favorite burgers in Colorado Springs. The skirted cheese is so unique and something I've never seen before. A go-to place if you want a mouthwatering meal. On the pricer side around $20 but well worth it. A small joint but the workers are nice and there's a decent seating inside. Can't wait to be back, check them out if you're ever in downtown Colorado Springs.

Yelp
Seven-top easily found seats together on a relatively busy Tuesday night. Sallie and I split a CLASSIC burger w Belgium Fries, the crispy cheese skirt was monstrous, at least two inches out from the heaping hot burger, the whole way around! That's where we started, dipping almost burnt cheese into their delicious fresh made Ranch dressing! Wowsa! The fries were great too! The crew behind the counter seemed happy and willing to make our visit wonderful. I recommend this SH on Powers Blvd!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing food and designer burger. All the hype is real. Worth stopping into eat at for sure. Service is quick and prompt. Absolutely great place. Amazing burger.
google avatar

Jack R.

Yelp
Everything tasted great, even after takeout! Big burger with lots of flavor and the garlic focaccia bun made it even better. The fries were all super crispy, I liked the sweet potato ones a little more but both had a tasty seasoning. The custard was smooth and the Oreos on top (or any topping) was a great touch. Small seating area but it was filled up even on a weeknight!
google avatar

Joshua L.

Yelp
Never had a Skirted burger before but loved it. Def unique and fun. Tasted great, staff was friendly and fast and as a veteran I was treated to a free drink. Def will be calling again. G Highly recommend

Yelp
Was it good? Yes! Is it all it's hyped to be? I don't really think so. It's a good burger with some extra cheese and crispy fries on the side. It caught my eye because it was on TV and Guy Fieri ate here. I got the classic skirted heifer with caramelized onions instead of raw onions. The sauce was great, the burger was cooked how I like, and the fries were okay. The garlic focaccia bun wasn't anything special, couldn't even taste the difference from a normal bun. And the skirt was good, it's just melted cheese and I know how melted cheese tastes like. Overall it was a fun meal and I would come back here--but it's your standard burger with fries place. The service was great and the workers were friendly. The place is also small so just be aware if you're planning to bring a big party!
google avatar

K S.

Yelp
Top-notch cheesy cheeseburgers with good beef andall the yummy homemade toppings. Love the skinny fries, too. A Boylan's sodas soda machine to boot? Perfection.
google avatar

Becky B.

Yelp
The burger was HUGE! There is no way that the average female can eat the whole burger and the massive portion of fries. The "skirt" is the melted cheese the overhangs the burger, delicious but a lot. I suggest sharing it then you will love the burger and your waistline will love you back!

Valerie K.

Yelp
This sounded like a fun sandwich and it was. The cheese skirt was perfectly crisp, we really didn't need the fries. But they were soooo good. Tasty shoestring fries stuffed into a box, already packed for the road. No need, we ate them there. The burger did not disappoint. Beyond the skirt, there was a lot of gooey cheese inside. The burger itself was juicy with a great crust. The # 2 was piled high with fixings. I had the Pueblo Burger with chilies and guacamole. Utter goodness. These burgers are filling. Definitely go with an appetite. The place is small and crowded. The drinks are pure cane sodas from a fountain.
google avatar

Serene C.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and this is one of my top burger spots in the Springs! I love the cheese skirt and the cook on the beef. Also the fries are nice and crispy and I love the different toppings, sauces available for the burger. Overall you won't regret if you visit and definitely makes for a great meal especially when you've craving a burger!

Linda L.

Yelp
The burger is the most unique and pleasing to the eye that I've ever eaten. All the food that we ordered was delicious!
google avatar

Debbie B.

Yelp
This place wowed me and I'm not easily wowed! Everything was good. From the burger to the bun to the lettuce and everything in between. It's like everything's a step up, even their ranch is good. And their specialty brand sodas. I got the skirted one, but it's not for me, next time I'll get it without the skirt. Delicious!

Luis S.

Yelp
I got a good cheeseburger, it was delicious! So good, it almost makes you want to drive your car into the building!! All good, won't do it, again! Sorry about the first time!

Yelp
Stopped in on 11/12/23 while in the springs for a quick weekend getaway. We are always up for a new place and a burger sounded wonder. This is in downtown Colorado Springs and right across the street from Acacia Park with plenty of shopping around. We both opted for the Pueblo Farmer with avocado and pepper jack cheese on a garlic focaccia bun instead of the traditional bun. Best choice! Sweet potato fries were awesome as well as the regular fries. It was a huge helping of fries and a burger so big - neither of us finished. This is in a small shop and seating is limited. They have a few tables set up outside but during a busy lunch time - we had to wait for someone to leave and quickly snatch up the table. Not a bad option to order to go and enjoy across the street for a picnic on a nice day. Service was good, staff was helpful and friendly- no complaints for me - just a great burger!
google avatar

Meri P.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this place and there was a line out the door so we decided to give it a shot since we were craving burgers. The skirted burger is a fun concept, I love a good crispy cheeeeese. I built my own burger, side of sweet potatoes and it was SO good - except I did not enjoy the garlic focaccia bun, it was bland and was not as impressive as I imagined. For my taste I love the good messy burger that it was and I paired it with their Boylan's handcrafted cream soda that I got many refills of - it was so good. I would definitely go back and get their naked heifer with a sesame seed bun instead. The service was friendly and all around great - the space is not very spacious, there's seating inside and outside but we ended up sharing a table with a gentleman that was kind enough to let us join him.

Nalu Ikaika K.

Yelp
Only negative thing I have regarding the Skirted Heifer, is that the navigation app directed us to the wrong place. Not far off, just a little extra walking, but hey I didn't mind the extra steps. Bring some pocket change for the parking, fortunately I had made a small purchase prior to coming here to ensure we were good. Not a lot of sitting room, fortunately got there right after they opened so had a few seats available. Now the good, typically I like regular fries, but on a whim I tried their sweet potato fries. Best that I have ever had and it's not even close. I tried their The Hangover. Very good. Best burger I've had in Colorado in a very long time. Only thing I wasn't fond of was the Bloody Mary sauce. A bit overpowering as it was all in one spot, but still a great burger! Definitely recommend, service was good and they provide recommendations as well as their best sellers.
google avatar

Itzel T.

Yelp
Burgers were decent, I wasn't very impressed with the flavors. The sweet potato fries were also decent. Very tiny seating area not a huge fan of eating right beside a stranger.
google avatar

Lance K.

Yelp
A nice petite place downtown Colorado Springs. The service was fast and welcoming. I ended up ordering the Pueblo Farmer with Belgian Fries. The fries were nice and crispy, but a little salty, which says a lot because I tend to like things on the salty side. The burger was nice, a little more cooked than I prefer and it could have used more guacamole with another chile (there was only one piece). The highlight of the order was trying their sweet potato fries. It was the crispiest and best sweet potato fries I ever had. It's probably the first time I ever regretted ordering regular fries over sweet potato fries. If I were in the area again, I'd stop by again.
google avatar

Kris U.

Yelp
My burger was definitely a winner! Unique to me is having a crispy cheese skirt spilling out all around the burger and it is quite the treat! I love queso flameado and it reminded me of that, only with a delicious burger included. They have a few options of burgers that are ready-to-order but customization is the way to go here. My skirted heifer on a garlic focaccia bun included, tomatoes, dill pickles, red onion, shredded lettuce, bloody mary sauce and grilled pineapple. The bloody mary sauce is really nice and I loved the grilled pineapple! Really like the Boylan's soda selection too. It is a small and crowded place, as others have commented. After waiting in a line that backed to the outside the disaffected order taker, Eric, asked for my order but he wasn't listening and I had to repeat everything again (I waited for eye contact this time), including that I wanted my order for "here". Still, my order was packaged to go.

Yelp
Maybe it's just me, but are they getting better with time? The overflowing skirted cheeseburger here is divine. Nice staff. Cozy ambiance.
google avatar

Shawn W.

Yelp
Not sure what the hype is really about not impressed at all. Burger was not hot when i got it and neither were the fries. I got the bacon and blue cheese burger and it was just meh. Maybe i expected too much but......not for me i guess.
google avatar

Michael A.

Yelp
A unique burger joint! Please don't give me the caloric or cholesterol score....I was a very bad boy! BUT IT WAS SO DELICIOUS! Belgian fries were great; (just means the potatoes are imported from Belgium; not sure why this is a selling point vs. Idaho spuds). But the star was the skirted burger; I had the Classic and I'd do again the next time I am in The Springs.
google avatar

Melissa C.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the B&B ( bacon and blue cheese). I also asked for a secret steak sauce and it went well!
google avatar

Peter C.

Yelp
Skirted Heifer is one of the best burgers I've had recently. I came here on a recommendation from a friend who lives around the area. The menu is pretty straightforward and you can build your own burger or order from a selection of burgers. It was a hard decision to make, but I shared the burger of the week and the hangover burger. Both were good. I will definitely return to try other burgers. Fries are ordered separately and paired with 3 different sauces ( heifer, ranch, or ketchup).

T. M.

Yelp
Ate here with my son while in town during his college dorm move-in. What a treat! The burgers are AWESOME. Plus, the 'skirt' is a huge piece of delicious cheese which extends out over the patty and bun. Either Belgian or Sweet Potato fries are great too. Open air seating at the front when they have the garage door open with views of Pike's Peak. Gotta try it!

Yelp
Been here so many times I can't even count- Always have amazing food, fast + great service, and outside seating is lovely (when weather permits). The only one minor downside is only at the Dublin location, where the inside seating can be cramped and awkward when it's busy. There's only around 2-3 seated tables and 2 stand up bar style type tables. But this is only at the Dublin location! Even with the seating (which is only that way at one location), Skirted Heifer is 100% worth the trip- My favorite thing to get is the sweet potato fries with a random burger (they're all good choices!) and a rootbeer. The salted sweet potato fries, juicy + flavorful burger, and refreshing rootbeer just never get old. Can you tell I love this place? P.S.: For outside seating, I recommend going on a decently warm-ish day (don't go on a day you need more than a sweatshirt to not freeze), and not staying past dark. It can get pretty chilly outside! Always make sure to take a sweatshirt, just in case. Also, they allow dogs in the outside seating area- another plus!

Yelp
This was worth the wait. I had to stand in line for about 20 minutes to work my way to the counter. The burger was fantastic, I had a bacon and cheddar burger with fries. I loved the crispy cheese. The burger was perfect and I enjoyed the fry sauce, the ingredients are high quality. This place was packed and hard to get in and out, I would suggest taking it to go if they are busy. I ate in but it was a nightmare to get a seat and then get in and out of that corner to get my food The other issue was that the drink station was a wreck the day I was here. I get that when you are slammed, it's hard to keep up but there was no ice, no lids and things were spilling all over the counter and on the floor.

Yelp
I had the hangover. Perfect jammy egg inside. I wish this place was in my home town! The burgers are grass-fed so that's what made me try it out!

Yelp
Visiting from out of town and the food and service was awesome! Very unique place! Wish we had one in Oklahoma!

Yelp
We split the classic skirted heifer. It was delicious! Great flavor! The focaccia bun was really good, and the fried cheese was perfection. Def recommend if you want a tasty burger and fries.

Yelp
My skirted heifer experience was great! It seems that other experiences may vary, but when I came in here for late lunch on a very beautiful Saturday, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and my burger was just right. This place is small, and if you're eating inside, people are going to be all over you. The ticket here is to eat outside or at the counter seating along the window. Maybe even get your meal to go (which it seems no matter whether you dine in or take out, you're served in a paper box) and sit in the lovely park across the street. When I went, it was not dirty. Just old! It also didn't have any particular bad smell, just old! You're barking up the wrong tree if your first thought entering here is fine dining. You're here for a very filling tasty burger. Period. Anyway, to my food. Again, the staff was very helpful. One of the employees pointed out his favorite dish to me and recommended skirting it for the full experience. Definitely have to skirt it, because there is so much cheese, it makes for a messy but delicious accoutrement. Basically turned my fries into cheese fries with all the hot skirted action. Speaking of fries and accoutrements, any place that has a ranch dispenser gets extra points in my book. That burger was "the Hangover", Triple D approved. This is the one Guy Fieri ordered, and now I see why. WOW. Rich indeed, and honestly, a meal unto itself. Fries felt like a luxury after eating through the meat, bacon, egg, and all that cheese. Might I also say, I love the local branded soda served in the fountain, it was like a better version of "Mexican Coke" My only complaint... I would really like to see my meal come out on a plate or basket ordering dine-in. The paper box was really hard to eat out of, especially with fries in there. Just picking up my burger for the first time was an ordeal. Would come back for another burger!

Yelp
I was rather disappointed in the Skirted Heifer. First, the location is small. No big deal -- but people should be aware that getting a place to sit down might not be possible at busy times. The burger itself: The meat and bun were overcooked. Both had been left on the grill too long. (And when I say overcooked, just know that I like my meat well done!) The fries were the opposite: They tasted undercooked. They also tasted like a whole bottle of salt had been dropped on them. I left 90% of them on my platter. Parking was not easy -- but there was the Xmas ice skating across the street, which no doubt made a difference.

Yelp
Not safe for allergens. I have visited this place several times over the past 6 months. I have always gotten a good gluten free burger, and if you're looking for a greasy burger place, this fits. Today after asking me if my gluten free request was for allergies (yes it is), I was gluten-ed (fed gluten that caused an autoimmune response). If you can't follow through, don't offer gluten free. I don't know if the staff were in a hurry or just didn't care, but it caused me a fever, pain, and an autoimmune response because someone couldn't be bothered to read. Never again. This isn't the kind of thing you can say "oops, we're sorry" kind of thing. Unsafe for allergens. Do not trust.
