"If you have access to a car, consider heading to this Greenpoint spot right on the East River. They show a few different outdoor movies (including new releases) every day with screenings starting at 9pm. This summer, you can watch Tom Cruise recklessly demonstrate why he's (still) in the top one percent of all naval aviators. Each ticket costs $55 and covers your entire car up to seven people, but you can also show up without a car and pay $19.50 for an individual seat. Make a reservation here." - hannah albertine, kenny yang

A very nice drive-in cinema in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I read many people complaining about the screen and the sound, but if you're lucky enough to get the main screen, you will have no issues with that. The screen is big enough, and the sound is pretty good. The place sell some snacks, and the chairs are kind of comfortable. The view of New York City is astonishing, especially once it gets dark. There are restrooms available, but only 2 and out of the dependencies. In summary, an amazing experience!

The good: 1. Great view of the city! But this is a drive in movie and I didn’t go there for the view. 2. The sound sync’ed into the car pretty good. 3. Bring your own food and drinks. The bad: 1. There are three screens at the location and they are very close to each other, with the sound from each movie going over each other. We were mainly hearing the other movie while sitting outside and not ours. Also the screen next to our screen was really distracting. 2. The cars are parked very close to each other. The car next to ours kept smoking and coming into our car. 3. Got there early and got a front row spot. If sitting outside of the car, you can not hear the movie from the outside speakers. Also it was very windy, and wind kept blowing sand all over my face and eyes. 4. Quality of the screens were really bad. They are not that big. Smaller than an average billboard. Overall it was a very bad and disappointing experience. Because we got there early, we got to park up front, but because of the spaces are so tight, not sure if the people in the back got a good view of the movie, as we were up front and it was mediocre at best. The experience would definitely be better, only if you are ready to keep your car running for duration of movie with windows closed and listening only to the broadcasted sound of the movie though the radio.

This was my first Drive-in Movie experience and I enjoyed it. One of my favs purchased tickets a while ago and the deadline to use it was days away. They finally had a movie on the line up that she was interested in and she extended an invite to me. I was hyped because I don't recall ever attending a drive-in movie before and they were showing Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. I originally wanted catch this at a 4DX showing but missed the opportunity. I arrived early parked and waited for her to arrive. Not sure of the protocol, but I walked in the gate and when I located the car I hopped in, with her and the fam. There were people who walked in with chairs and sat in particular area to watch the movie of their choice. There was a total of three (3) different movies showing on different screens. You tune into the radio station that corresponded with the movie you were there to see. They offer a concession stand for snacks and there are picnic tables to sit at if you so choose. Of course you're welcome to bring whatever you want to snack on in your vehicle. Due to traffic I had limited time to pick up snacks. However, I did have a friend deliver adult beverages.. The owner of @bearded.bartender (IG) came through with the delivery right the drive-in (thank you sir). My friend headed to the snack stand for some items to munch on. I don't know prices but she came back with ice cups for the adult drinks, popcorn, and some meatless chicken nuggets. The nuggets were absolutely horrible. However, the popcorn was amazing. That says a lot coming from me because I'm not particularly a fan because I can't stand when the kernels get stuck in your teeth, but this popcorn was good. Overall, a great first time experience I will definitely go again. I now know what to do to make the adventure even more enjoyable. Just A Note: Pick up food/snacks before hand and arrive early for an obstructed spot, you can also bring chairs if you want sit outside your vehicle and enjoy the breeze.

NEVER AGAIN! The workers (one in particular) are rude, the bathrooms were hot, stinky and filthy and the patrons are inconsiderate! We got there early to get a good parking but they put all oversized vehicles (anything larger than a standard sedan) either on a weird angle or all the way in the back. We stayed towards the back but several people tried sitting on top of their vehicles, one couple was making out OUTSIDE of their car and several people kept turning their car lights on, even though it's against the rules. I swear, when the movie started, the workers must have gone on break because they didn't enforce any of the rules so we had carlights blaring in our eyes as we tried to watch the screen (which is obviously a bunch of tiny screens patched together to make one large screen). It rained while we were watching the movie and although we were safe in our vehicle, the projector fogged up and the movie was even harder to see. I say that the workers must have ALL been on break because the rain was only wiped off of the projector ONCE and that was several minutes into the fogging and it wasn't wiped off at all after that. Also, the snacks are overpriced, just like a regular theater. I mean, the concept of a retro drive-in in NYC is very cool, which is why we went. It was worth a shot, the view IS nice and there are picnic tables where you can eat any food (you can bring your own) you want. Those are the positives. Not at all worth a return visit.

Google
It was a really fun drive in movie theater. The prices were ok and the screen was pretty big and nice to see. There was a food truck there with basic stuff like popcorn and hot dogs and etc. The food truck was also pretty crowded so I think it would’ve been nice if there were a few more there. The view was also ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Basically worth the price of admission to see the NYC skyline in the background as it becomes dark. I would recommend someone to go here for a fun night and show.

This place is so much fun! Yes, $57 is pricey, but it was worth it! We came 2 hrs early because of what people recommended, and yet we weren’t bored while waiting for the movie. First off, the staff was very organized in lining up the cars and making sure each vehicle had their lights off to not bother the other people. The food was also delicious. We tried everything in the menu and they were all really good. Took plent of pics near the pier and enjoyed the amazing view as well. Great place to go during the pandemic. Will definitely be going back!

The Skyline Dive In Theater is set off the East River in Brooklyn. The view of the Manhattan skyline makes for an epic back drop. The theater is enormous with a three point view of the big screens. No matter where your seated or parked you won't miss a thing . Tune into 88.9 for sound within your vehicle. There is a full concession stand with the traditional cinema eats along with few fun added on snacks such as potato puffs(Knish), churros, and blankets if you want to snuggle. Don't fret if you don't have a car they offer a comfortable seating area. We loved dressing up to see the "Nightmare Before Christmas". It brought a smile to our faces and the audience.. The calm peaceful vibe from the viewer is infectious. Everyone can enjoy a nice night out watching a great movie and forgetting about the chaos we are living in. I look forward to going again.

Google
This is a must do during Covid if you have access to a car. The view is stunning and perfect sunset view if you go to a 9pm show. A couple of food trucks are available there. Highly recommend getting there at least an hour before to get a good spot and to enjoy the view.

Yelp
Great location to enjoy a drive in move with a skyline view. This place is great for dates, night out with the girls, family fun.. There is VIP seating, meaning you can sit on a lounge chair instead of in your car. Honestly, car seating is more than enough. VIP seems unnecessary to me. There is food. If sitting in your car, bring blankets and pillows so you can preferably sit in the trunk of your car (obviously with the back trunk door open). Highly recommend coming here, especially for date night!!

Yelp
I always dreamt of going to a drive-in like how they did in the 50s. Then again, I don't drive or have a car. But for the Barbie movie, I convinced my father to take us in his car and we all had a blast. First of all, it was the perfect Barbie blowout party because they had freebies like posters, Barbie fans, and Barbie drink pouches. We got there at 8pm, which was an hour too late since the party started at 7pm so we only got posters. But that didn't matter because it was still amazing with their pink carpet and beautiful city views. Almost everyone at the screening was dressed up in pink, and we all took pictures with one another because that's how cute everybody looked. And to add more to the Barbie-theme, they sold Barbie-inspired drinks. I had a pink Margarita, which was super yummy. At 9pm, the movie started and everyone got to their cars or in my daughter's case, on top of it and turned on their radios to hear the movie. There was outside seating so you could sit outside of your car and still hear the movie well. It was an amazing experience to see a movie about my childhood icon with the beautiful city lights surrounding it. At one point, there was even fireworks but that was from a far distance, which was unrelated to the movie screening. But it sure did add a magical touch to the whole night. I would highly recommend that you come to the Skyline Drive-in to experience a one-of-kind movie night.

Yelp
We had an incredible time at Skyline for the Barbie movie. I was elated when I found out there was a drive-in in New York City (granted this is nothing like the ones back home in California but this is still super special something like this exist in such a small/dense place). It's incredibly easy to book a ticket online. It cost $55 per car (up to 7 passengers) and there's a $1.99 booking fee. It's dog friendly and if you don't have a car that's totally fine too! You can walk, scooter, bike into Skyline Drive-In since they have outdoor seating. The entrance seems a little questionable but once you find the workers there, they help guide you inside and into your parking spot. The movie starts at 9pm but gates open at 7pm. I HIGHLY recommend getting there early to get good parking and to come prepare with your snacks/dinner because the concession stand is small and busy. There's also a picnic area nearby to sit down and eat. (The bathroom runs out of toilet paper as the night progress so be prepared). This place has a gorgeous view of Manhattan situated on the East River. You can sit on the chairs outside (come early to get dibs on good seats and bring a blanket), sit in the trunk of your car, or some people brought their own chairs. You can tune into the radio station but their speakers were surprisingly loud so we opted out. You'll definitely get to know your neighbors when you're here but everyone is courteous and mindful about their trash. Overall Skyline Drive-In was a memorable experience. (Barbie was a great movie btw, go see it!)

Yelp
I went with my boyfriend to see the Barbie movie. It was a really fun experience to be able to sit outside on a warm summer night. We did the seating option (seats are first come basis). They are provided and set up prior to arrival. We thought it was a great experience on a summer night. We didn't have any issues with the sound as some reviews mentioned. The line for snacks / drinks was insane! I waited for about 30 mins and was still roughly 15-20 minutes away when the movie was starting, so I opted to skip out on it entirely. The chairs were ok, but I think I'd bring my own chairs in future. Definitely would return, but would recommend bringing your own drinks / snacks!

Kim X.

Yelp
This popped up on a list of things to do for Halloween weekend. There were 3 options for Saturday night. Of the three, we chose to watch Five Nights at Freddy's. The movie wasn't particularly scary or good, but the options were few and far between. The other two options were Taylor Swift and a really old horror movie that I forgot the name of. We paid about 40 dollars for 2 seats. The chairs were made for outdoor seating. They were surprisingly more comfortable than I anticipated. There was a snack area that was manned by one person only so it was a bit of a wait. Overall, I enjoyed experiencing this once, but I prefer to watch my movies inside theaters. There were too many elements to account for and people weren't really as respectful as there were multiple loud conversations happening and kids running around and playing loudly.

Anna P.

Yelp
Amazing spot to safely see movies in the still ongoing pandemic. Very helpful staff and relaxed vibe. Wheelchair accessible but note that it is a bit tough to get around when it gets dark because you have to cross cobblestone to get to the bathroom. Sound leaves something to be desired but to be expected in this setting. Views of Manhattan are immaculate.

Sandy D.

Yelp
Only in NYC, anything is possible, drive-in movie experiences included! I've been wanting to visit Skyline for the longest time, and was finally granted the opportunity. Tickets are $55 per car, with 7 passengers max if your car allows. The entrance wasn't hard to find on the GPS, with their logo sign displayed to let you know you're entering the right place. The staff were super efficient, waving you in to park at the correct movie, as there could be different films playing at the same time. They also weren't exaggerating about their gorgeous skyline views! Take it all in when you're there. I wanted to experience that concession experience and also review for Yelp so I ordered most of their menu. We sadly came on a cold windy night so I couldn't tell if the food was even hot to begin with or the wind simply blew all their heat away. Their Hot Dogs ($5) were delish, but the rest of the food tasted very cafeteria like. It was my first time trying a Potato Knish ($4) and for the price, it was worth the try. While I appreciate the initial flaky buttery potato filling, the pastry gets quite heavy. The Beef Empanadas ($6) were 4 mini pieces, and if you remember those public school cafeteria empanadas, that's exactly what these tasted like. The Chicken Tenders ($9) was mainly batter and super lackluster, but at least the honey mustard helped. The screens were smaller than I thought, I would believe people sitting in the back of cars would have a hard time seeing. Their speakers also weren't that loud. I HIGHLY recommend you to tune in to their radio channel for the optimal experience, as I thoroughly enjoyed the quality of the sound. That alone was a fascinating feat to me! There's also subtitles as well. Restrooms are available in a building, but be careful to not upset the staff getting to that area! The workers were so strict, they had someone in a car physically get in our car's way to block us. All because they thought we wanted to watch the other movie showing there. I get the rules, but jeez, that was quite the over the top performance. Bring your own meal, tune in to their radio, avoid the staffs' wrath when needing the restrooms, and you'll have an unique and chill date experience! I love that they offer new movie premieres now too.

Christine L.

Yelp
Bottom line--it seems like a bargain if you want to take 7 ppl for $55. However, if it's just two of you (and who wants to watch a movie from the backseat?) it's a lot of $. We went in March and it was freezing--so we left the car on the whole time because we absolutely needed the heat. However, there was at least one car that shut his off and then needed a boost because the battery was dead at the end of the movie (I bet that happens a lot). I'm sure this is kind of fun in the summer--they do have lounge chairs, but when it is freaking cold? I'll stick to the regular movies.

Laura E.

Yelp
Ever since watching the movie Twister, I have always wanted to experience a drive-in theatre (minus the disaster of course). So you can imagine my excitement when I learned that Brooklyn had its very own. It is everything I imagined and more. With breathtaking view of the Manhattan skyline. It's beautiful both during the day and at night. I would advise you arrive when the gates open to ensure you snag a good spot. While you wait for the movie, you can take in some views and even visit the concession stand to order some food and snacks. The also have restrooms not far from the screens. Now for the actual showing, you have the option of tuning into the designated radio station via car stereo or you can roll down your windows to listen to the speakers outside. If you don't have a car don't worry, they offer outdoor seating! My date and I snuggled up with a blanket in the car and shared a large popcorn and chicken tenders purchased at the concession stand. The chicken tenders were a little charred but the popcorn was great! Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. Perfect for date night or with family and friends.

Kristin B.

Yelp
Amazing view, great experiences, and the perfect date night spot. One of a kind. Will absolutely be frequenting this place once the weather is better :)

Renee R.

Yelp
Loved this drive in...super chill spot to pull up with family and friends. Best city views in brooklyn for sunset...kid friendly. Bathroom and concession stand. Comfy seats. My kids set the car alarm twice (my bad) during the movie but everyone was chill about it.

Sharm S.

Yelp
This is such a cute gem in Greenpoint. You can take a fill carload of people and pay the same price to enjoy a movie. They also have outdoor seating available if you don't have a car or prefer to sit outside. There's a full snack bar to purchase items if you don't want to just pack your own. The view of Manhattan is spectacular. Def try this out!

Yelp
I love to go every summer to the skyline drive in . I'm going more often to save it for future memories. As I feel this gem will eventually be gone. I wish the screens were more bigger. And the concession stand was bigger and more stuff or seasonal. I hope that the owners be able to hold on a little longer or have a company that would keep the drive in and build on top . Just wishful thinking since I'm aware of the prime real-estate.

Elizabeth E.

Yelp
We enjoyed a beautiful night with seats at Skyline Drive-In. There are 3 screens for the main attraction. The seating area for those who buy seats at Skyline Drive-In has its own movie screen hung above the seats (see photos). At $24 per ticket you get a (reclining) seat right next to the water. They are not heavy duty recliners. Every seat is a great seat (about 30 seats total - socially distant)! Even the first row has a spectacular view. The snack bar is fully stocked (and fully kosher). There are (approx. 15) picnic tables for outdoor dining available to anyone enjoying the site. Beautiful & big bathrooms are available. Outside food is allowed!! The view alone is worth the price of admission. I totally lost myself. It's absolutely beautiful.

Eric I.

Yelp
Having two movie screens side by side is distracting. They would do better to project two of the movies on one building so that you won't be distracted by the better movie (Joker) after paying $60 to see the shitty movie (The Creator). Sound came through great. Also, NYC is just not the place to see a drive-in film because it's just not dark enough here. 4-stars for actually trying to present a drive-in theater when there are so few left in the country.

Akeema R.

Yelp
This gem sprang up during the pandemic and was a god send. When everything else was closed, required vaccinations or you just wanted to be secluded but around people skyline was it. Lol. If you go alone or with a date, the theater is cheaper as it's $55 a car. The price has raised since opening. You can have a max of 7 people in the car. So the more people you have the cheaper it becomes. They have picnic style tables around. Which is great to eat, play cards/board games or just chill and drink disguised adult beverage with friends. They have a concession stand, which isn't crazy expensive like a sit down theater. But I typically brought my own food and snacks because why not. There is a bathroom off to the right in a building. There was usually an attendant in there an it was very clean. At night it can be kind of dark. As there are no lights in the area leading to the bathroom and the neon sign marking its location doesn't offer much light. The bathroom themselves however are well lit. The staff who checks tickets and directs you where to park and exit can sometimes be rude and they were comprised totally of men. The ladies at concessions were always nice. The mostly played old movies VS new releases. I don't know if that's changed now. Since theaters opened back and up and we begin getting some sibilance of normality I haven't been back. 4/20 friendly not officially but no one is stoping you in your car. Also if your adventurous and have tints and parked in the last row, some adult fun is plausible. But you didn't hear that from me. They have reclining lawn chairs that spread out in front of the cars for people who didn't drive in and the price is much cheaper than a car ticket. However it's only recommended during the warmer months. As it's extremely cold by the water and unbearable during the winter and fall months. The view is beautiful as your on the water overlooking the Manhattan skyline. Hence the name. I'll probably go again no time soon though.

Yelp
In my search for an outdoor drive in movie theater, this one caught my attention because it is located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Most other drive in movie theaters are a bit far from NYC, so I was happy to discover this spot! I came with 2 friends on a Friday night for a showing of "Black Panther." That whole day it was pouring rain and we were in the middle of a tropical storm, but the website was very clear that the movie would still be playing rain or shine. It got a little better by the time 9PM rolled around but it still wasn't ideal. The rain made it difficult to see the movie clearly and I had to periodically turn on the windshield wipers. At one point, the car behind us had to leave due to an emergency, so my friend drove forward to allow the other party to exit. When my friend reversed to return to our spot, the person who was directing the car was extremely rude and impatient. He was basically yelling at my friend the entire time. So, my friend and I walked over to the water where there was a stunning view of the Manhattan skyline. It was so peaceful and calming to take that all in. There was only 1 food truck in operation and I saw that someone had bought a big bucket of popcorn from them. The large popcorn was $8 and there was absolutely no butter or salt. It tasted so bland and was definitely not worth the price. Thankfully we had brought some Thai food earlier and that filled us up. After the movie was finished, we wanted to stay a little longer to see the end of the credits, but the folks directing the cars, made everyone leave immediately. It would have been a better experience if the weather was clear and we had the opportunity to sit outside the car, in order to enjoy an unobstructed view of the screen and truly enjoy the evening. Also, the service was definitely lacking. Though I really miss movie theaters and the view of Manhattan was lovely, I'm not sure I would return. Perhaps if it's a good enough movie and the weather is nice.

Yelp
The Skyline Drive-In is a chill relaxed drive in movie scene. Everyone gathers like a community and your comfortable to relax in your car. They have a concession stand as well. As you drive to it you drive down path to large lot where they scan your ticket. After they scan your ticket someone guides you to a spot. You park your car and get comfortable and tune your car radio to the correct channel they display. The only minus we experienced was the workers attitudes. The bathroom location is dark and secluded as well. It is a building on the far side of the lot that has a small red LED sign. Once you get to the door you see it look like a large abandoned building with the bathrooms located far to the back. No lights on inside and a large empty door to the right that is left open and pitch black. It did not feel safe walking there a lot at night just to grab a quick restroom break. Let alone the women's bathroom is straight across from the men's no security and doors completely opened. I feel they need lights in there and at least a few more friendly staff members. Other than that the view was amazing to see the sun set on the skyline and cuddle and watch my favorite movie with my loved one.

Anu P.

Yelp
What a great experience! The view is spectacular and the parking lot is spacious with a great view of the screen and the skyline from each spot. There are also chairs and picnic tables for those without cars. Arrive when the gates open to get a good spot. We picked up dinner on the way in and ate it at a picnic table while the sun set, it was gorgeous. There is a concession stand where you can order food and snacks if you decide to eat there. It is a perfect night out for a date or for the family!

Rashid B.

Yelp
Really a nice place to go to to watch movies under the skyline one NYC! I will definitely come back here again and again! They provide radio if you need. There is seats to relax. Bring your own blanket if you need! But the views are worth the stay! See you there soon!!

What an absolute blast! I hadn't been to a drive in movie in ages and I'm so happy they opened one in Brooklyn (and that my friend has a car, even though you can totally come and sit in the seating area if you don't have one). It's $60 per car so load people up! They were playing Jurassic World and the sound from the radio worked well (they also had captions) and while this is certainly not a cheap experience, it's super fun and different. The views of the city are also beautiful from here.

Yelp
I love that this place exists, especially during Covid. I've been here a few times and it's always fun. They have 2 options; you can buy a ticket per venue provided chair ($22) or you can drive in and pay a flat rate per car ($55, up to 7 people). My boyfriend and I usually just walk from home, but if you're driving, you can definitely get a good deal if you have a few people together. There are several screens, so they play 2 movies at once, with different sections for cars and chairs. They do have a concessions area with popcorn, chips, beer, and the like, though, you are allowed to bring in whatever you want. We usually stop by Paulie Gee's Slice Shop and bring that in, along with one of their "Mystery 6 Pack" specials. I definitely recommend! Come early, especially if you're walking or taking the train. They have plenty of picnic tables so you can enjoy your dinner, libations, friends, and amazing city views before the sun goes down and the movie starts

Yelp
During COVID, it's hard to find things that take you out of the house but safely quarantines you away from other parties and an outdoor movie theater is the perfect compromise. We felt completely safe being here because you didn't necessary have to leave the car, unless you need the restroom or wanted to buy snacks at the establishment. You can tuned into the movie via the car radio and watch from inside or lower your windows for the speakers. There is a clear view of the screen without feeling like you're being blocked by other cars, and the people that worked there were very nice, made sure we have a good view of the movie from our spot. Movie started on time, we heard the entire movie without complications. Would come again, especially when it gets warmer! Bring your own snacks and drinks, to really customize your experience!

Yelp
After hearing through the grapevine that I should give this place a try, I finally carved some time to go. I came to see The Parent Trap with my roommate and unfortunately when we got there I realized my new-to-me car has an automatic shutoff. We were unable to play the movie through my radio, and the stations weren't available through our phones and so, we sat in the 28 degree weather... with our windows down to get our money's worth. We were bummed, security wasn't readily available to ask questions, but we think it was just an off night. That's when everything changed!! We wrote in through email and their staff was super super professional and kind. We made arrangements to give it another shot the following week due to the availability for them to lend us a radio during showtime. We arrived, security parked us and we were able to watch the film with sound thanks to their awesome staff. A great, fun activity in the midst of all the city hustle & bustle. 5 star service!!!! I'll be back!

Yelp
Must try!!! You get to watch your movie with Manhattan's beautiful view on the side. It is an amazing atmosphere!! You can bring your own food/drinks but there is also a food bar if you need. Try to go a bit early to get the best seats :)

Yelp
A beautiful view of the best city in the world! So much fun in the comfort of your car with snacks! Going back in the summer!

Yelp
My experience at Skyline was highly enjoyable and a very welcome respite from the isolation and boredom many of us have experienced over the past four months. What a great way to feel somewhat normal again! First of all, the staff members were all very polite, patient, and kind. I was amazed at how efficiently the people directing traffic got everyone into their spots. We arrived an hour early and the lot was already quite full. Nevertheless, we still had a good spot and were able to see the screen very well. You cannot choose where you want to park, just whether you want the front or rear of your vehicle to face the screen. We opted to have the rear facing the screen and opened up the hatchback of the vehicle and sat with our legs hanging down. If we sat in our folding chair on the sidewalk, our view was obstructed by other vehicles. Other folks sat on the hoods of their cars. There's definitely enough space between cars, so you don't feel like everyone's on top of one another. We picked up food from a nearby Polish eatery. You can get not-the-most-flavorful-stuff like popcorn and chicken strips onsite, so I advise bringing food in from elsewhere. The views of the Manhattan skyline are pretty awesome. The breeze is great. The sound is good. We didn't use the car radio and still heard everything just fine. The bathroom was clean and there wasn't a line. Best of all, everyone behaved and nobody did anything stupid. We'll be back!

Yelp
My friend suggested the Skyline Drive-in and found it to be such a great and relatively safe activity during COVID times. I felt that the staff were working very hard to keep us safe and the evening running smoothly. They all wore masks and the spots between cars were separated by parking cones. They sell food and drinks you can order and buy but we brought our own. There are little picnic tables if you wanted to come there early to eat otherwise we just ate by the car waiting for the movie to start. I recommend arriving early regardless so you get a good spot. The best part of this experience was the view - you can see the entire Manhattan skyline lit up perfectly on the water and it was so relaxing. Felt like a little escape! They play the movie on loud speakers so you don't have to have your car running with the radio which I liked. There are multiple screens, although a little small - and they use subtitles in case you have a heard time hearing. There are also spaces for chairs in the front if you don't have a car. In general, was such a fun activity and highly recommend!

Yelp
I adoreeeeee this drive-in theater. The view alone is worth the trip. I first came here for my boyfriend's birthday and I've gone back twice in the last month ... obsessed much?! Its a great activity to go alone, on a date or with a group of friends. I suggest getting there 60-90 minutes early to park, walk around, buy snacks, take pictures, get settled, etc. They do have a concessions stand but feel free to bring your own things! We brought a luncheon basket filled with goodies and a cooler of drinks. It was a perfect time every time and I can't wait to go again.

Yelp
My friend and I purchased tickets to watch Mean Girls at 8:30pm. We got there around 7:45 which gave us ample time to get a good car spot and get a nice view of the sunset on the skyline! Everything was very structured and smooth, we got our parking spot, had time to relax and get ready for the movie. They gave very clear directions on how to hear the movie through our radio, but you could also just listen with the windows down cause it was very loud. The movie was very clear and they had closed captioning. When it was time to leave, it was very organized and seamless, like a waterfall effect and there were no problems getting out, especially considering the immense amount of cars in the lot. We had such a great time and will definitely be coming back again to see another movie! I definitely recommend coming an hour before the movie starts so that you can get a good car spot and have time to get snacks from the trucks or just stroll around and look at the beautiful view and sunset.

Yelp
Since COVID happened, and you can't really escape the city, my friends and I have tried to find cute ways to spend our time here in NY! My friend found this place on Instagram, and we decided to go on Labor Day evening for a viewing of Sex and The City. The price is pretty much $57 (including taxes and such) per car. However, they also offer individual seats as well. Additionally, pricing is a bit more for vehicles bigger than the average car (i.e. Jeeps, SUVs, Suburbans, etc.) I've gone to other drive in theatres and I'm pretty sure I paid about $10-$30 less so you're definitely paying for the view here (but it's worth it?). The GPS takes you to a place a little down the block from the entrance, but you should be able to see the sign on the street. Once you get in you get your ticket scanned and get directed to an exact spot to park your car. The website says that they urge you to come an hour before your movie viewing time. I assume this was to get a good spot. I was in the second row of cars so I think I did good. They have indoor restrooms available, and the seats that people pay for are right underneath the screen, and cars line up behind. They separate the cars from the SUVS and such and have different screens for both. The view is impeccable. I am a sucker for a good view and honestly I was just in heaven. The skyline is so gorgeous and being able to watch your movie with that view in the background makes you feel like you've left reality for a second (or I'm just a dreamer). They offer food which I didn't take advantage of because I bought my own food and alcohol. I didn't see any rules about doing that so. Plus I don't recall the menu being super pescatarian friendly, besides the typical movie snacks. The movie was great and I enjoyed myself. However one of the staff members was very rude and disrespectful as we were trying to leave. He made a huge deal about us going out of the wrong exit at least ten cars in front of us did the same. I understand him wanting to follow the rules and trying to be safe but it wasn't that serious. Overall, I would definitely come again, and recommend. I'm not sure if they are open in the winter but I think it would definitely be a cute date night adventure.

Yelp
I dont usually leave bad reviews, this is a rare one for me. I was super excited about gong to a drive in movie. Unfortunately the picture was so bad we barely saw anything, the sound was full of static and was hard to hear. Our car was blocked in, so we ended up wasting our 2 hours of time on a Friday for nothing.

Yelp
Great view and movie experience. A little hectic getting here from Jersey but worth it.

Yelp
There's something magical about watching your favorite childhood flick at sunset, under the New York skyline -- so of course, this is one of the best date spots in the city! Shout-out to the staff (like Aleks & others,) who are especially great. Plus, the one thing that sets this place apart is the movie lineup. The folks here have fantastic taste in film -- major cult and nostalgia favorites, without any New York pretentiousness like some of the other movie flix spots in the city can have. Come here, the memories you'll make are totally worth it.. :)

Yelp
Great place and welcome addition to COVID days. The locale with the view of the city behind the screen is amazing. Someone should've done this a while ago. I was very surprised by the efficiency of the staff who all seemed pretty nice as well. They did a great job of getting the vehicles out quickly and having everyone kill the lights. My only complaint is that the screens could be a bit brighter.

Yelp
I always wanted to go on a date to a drive in movie or drive in dinner. Once I came upon this gem I was so excited and wanted to go before it became to popular. My sister and myself went on movie date on Sunday. She had to tag along her godson but it was fine. Getting in was kind of a hassle but once u got it the worker help you direct your car in a reasonable space. I packed my own food and drinks and decorated the car trunk to my liking. I had a blast. The view was incredible.

Yelp
I generally like Skyline Drive In. It's a unique drive in experience with an old school concession stand all overlooking an amazing skyline view in Greenpoint. It's really nice as far as all that goes. However the quality is not on par with other theaters. The picture can be quite spotty -- the last time I was there the entire movie was tinged green and the picture froze every ten minutes. Sound can also be a problem, especially with three other movies playing on other big screens in the open area. With that said, I can only recommend it for screenings of old movies you have already seen and maybe want to rewatch in this setting. Definitely not a place to see a new release.

Letia C.

Yelp
Really cute and cool concept. You should definitely get here early to avoid the long car line (when the movie is over, you can leave faster). The snack bar is ridiculous, please bring your own snacks! Came here during the colder months, please bring a blanket, it gets pretty cold when your car is turned off.

Dominik D.

Yelp
The views of the city are far and away the best part. The movies are not bad, but I wouldn't say they are worth the price, especially with concessions.

Denere P.

Yelp
By far this drive in was the easiest to get in and get out. Great date night location. You can bring in food and drinks but they also have a concession area and bathrooms. Very nice space.

Yelp
On perfect weather evenings there is no better place to spend the evening watching a movie and taking in the NYC skyline sights. There is a seating areas for those that don't have cars to get to (after all this is Brooklyn) nice concession stand located right under the big screen and this certainly has the cleanest restrooms one will find at any drive in theater. 5 star +++ they now offer the latest movies and some of the greatest oldies

Yelp
I bought regular admission for a Saturday night and got there about an hour about the movie. I was the second car in my column? So yeah, springing for VIP is not worth it (in my opinion). Guy who worked there was like -- XYZ is the radio station for the movie. He looked at me like I had 5 heads when I asked him how we were supposed to listen to the movie on our car radio if their site says our cars should be off.... yeah, maybe update your site!!! There is an option to listen with windows open -- which I was planning to do and since it was cold, I brought a blanket, but ended up keeping my car on -- once he said it was okay to. Ate Chinese food that we brought with us -- so that was cool. I believe the site says don't bring your own food (?), but no one said anything to us or to anyone else who did the same. Would go back in the summer and take pics of the beautiful view because it really is breathtaking! Also, another movie might be playing at the same time, but I couldn't hear the other movie (didn't have my car windows open so... take that with a grain of salt). Will be back.

Yelp
Great for date night if it's the first time. Hotbox the car while watching a movie !!

Adeola C.

Yelp
The view is breathtaking and skyline with sunset. And please make sure you have the potato knish so hood the best I have ever had. Great for seating and car seating and drive in

Kate F.

Yelp
This place is awesome. The staff is super friendly, especially the gentleman that greets you when you pull in. Bathrooms are clean. Lots of concession options. Beautiful view and quality of sound/picture is great. I wish we knew about this sooner!

Yelp
Went here for a birthday movie with my partner. The weather sucks so we weren't able to get the reason why the ticket was so expensive - the view. It was raining as we drove up, a little confusing getting there and understanding how to get to my spot. Once in, we ended up being in the front, which was the worst spot because they had parked us way too close to the screen. I had to bend my neck sideways the entire time during the movie just to see anything. The staff was fine, the neighboring cars were fine. Getting out was a little bit of a mess because the staff didn't organize anything, and it was kind of a free for all. All in all, it was just a crappy day and a crappy spot. Not enough for me to spend that amount of money again especially for movies I have already seen.
