To survive as a local business during (and after) the pandemic, you need to innovate. Slated to open before the pandemic, Slipstream's newest and third
location needed to pivot with the downtown
audience suddenly gone. They slowed down and designed out the small space with the pandemic in mind. They took out a few seats to leave room for safe distancing while customers wait for their lattes.
Outdoor seating is being added.
Compared to its two other locations, this one is the smallest, but it fits the downtown working crowd.
Located inside an office building that sits 1,000 workers, the location is central. When you walk in, you're greeted by a bright mural by Dante Marshall, an artist friend of the owner. Order your coffee drink or a food item (recommend the breakfast sandwich of sweet potato biscuit). Wait safely in a space next to the coffee bar (decorated with hanging plants) or grab a booth.
The coffee itself is good and colorful cups help you determine what kind of coffee you like- floral, creamy, etc. If you like creamy, the vanilla latte is on point.
