One the customer service is phenomenal huge shout out to Tanya! It’s almost impossible to walk out without a smile. The food itself was great too! We had the lamb chops with mac on the side and it was all so delicious I think I found a new lamb chop spot. Our server Erin did a great job too. Even though I think she was the only server that night she was still quick and always made sure we were good. Overall a 10/10 experience

If i could give this place 0 stars, I WOULD. When going to eat at this restaurant, be sure to bring your own drink or savor the ONE glass of water that they give you. My Waitress did not offer us any drinks or refills. She was very RUDE and did not deserve the $20 tip that I was forced to leave her. Pictured here is the cajun chicken alfredo. The chicken was very dry, and it’s like they dumped all the cajun seasonings they had onto my plate. Breadstick was burnt and hard as a rock. Chicken alfredo was overly greasy! The lamb chops were the only half decent part of this meal.. HALF DECENT. I will never be returning here. I had a stomach ache before i even left the establishment. TERRIBLE.

The lamb chops were amazing, which says a lot coming for me. I’ve eaten a lot of lamb chops and these are in the top 3! The asparagus, turkey chops, and Long Island iced tea was delicious as well. Service was great and wait time was great. This restaurant is awesome! I will be back!

Sloppy chops is located on 6 mile in Detroit. I went here on Saturday night at 7pm. They accept reservations and it’s an automatic 18% gratuity on each check. They have a bar area with TVs. The service was horrible. We ordered sloppy chops (they were cold and expensive), smothered potatoes (tasty) and surf and turf Alfredo pasta (cold and mediocre). Sides are À la carte. We waited a total of 45 min to be seated (30 min past our rsvp time). A party of 15 walked out after waiting 2 hours for food and other drinks that was ordered. I seen the frustration on their face when we walked in. Another party of 13 walked out because they had been waiting an hour to be seated. They also had reservations and their table was already set up. Others walked out because they had been waiting to order and never got their drinks. We were still being hopeful. When we finally got seated. We ordered our food and drinks right away. Another couple that came in 30 min after us ordered their food and drinks after us. They got their food and drinks before us. After our waitress gave them ALL their food. She quickly went past us without stopping and said “Your food should be out soon”. We waited 30 min to get 1 drink. This was after I asked a different wait staff about my drink. Because our waitress was no where to be found. The other wait staff went and got my drink and it was wrong. We waited an hour to get our food. We were very close to walking out as well. Our food was cold when we got it. The waitress was not apologetic at all and basically ignored us. Although it was not her fault it was not enough wait staff. I thought she could hv been more apologetic and displayed a better attitude. I assume she was stressed and didn’t care because she was automatically getting her undeserved tip. It was people picking up orders and they were wrong. Those people also waited a long time. A few people told them about the dirty bathroom. No one went and cleaned it. I think some of the staff that I seen doing nothing could have helped with drinks, bring out food, take orders etc. Not just manage and sit more people. A lot of people were turned away because of the wait time. I really hate giving bad reviews and hope they get it together. My experience was very unpleasant. It was not worth spending over 2 hours in a cold restaurant and almost $200 later. They are open Mon-Wed 11am-10pm, Thurs. 11am-2am and Fri.-Sun. 11am-12am

Came here for Mother’s Day dinner. Paid over $155.00 , I was not expecting that. The gratuity is at 20% , I see why they have a lot of take out and DoorDash orders. They had so many take out orders that it took us 1 hour to receive our food. I think that’s a good and bad thing. Anyway, I gave the rating to hopefully help y’all do better. It was the flies for me. We had a hard time enjoying the food because of all the gnats that were flying around our food and us. For the price we paid, that was unacceptable. Food was good , chops and Mac n cheese was delicious. We would recommend the DoorDash option until the dining area is together.

My husband and I were excited to finally get a chance to try this place out. There was no wait for the table however it took a very long time to get serviced and to actually receive our apps. Once it was brought out it was in correct so we had to wait even longer. A waitress wasnt attentive but they were under staffed. We couldn't get an cocktails because there wasnt a bartender on staff. I was extremely let down by our experience especially because it was my birthday celebration. I'm hoping to give them another shot in the future. Update: I came back to give them another shot. This time they. They didn't disappoint 🙌🏿. Everything was fresh. The bartender (Muffin) had great conversation and customer service. I left full and satisfied. I had the wings, surf and turf with smothered potatoes. Chefs kiss.

My food came 20 minutes after ordering. My wife's food came 20 minutes after mine. There were only 6 other people in the restaurant so I don't know why it took so long. My steak was burnt and the shrimp that came with it was cold and salty. We never received our turkey burger appetizer. How can you be out of lobster, asparagus, and baby back ribs at the same time on a Saturday night and not know it?

Google
First time eating at restaurant. A group of 4. Place was empty From the time we got there until we left. I was anticipating having a good meal considered the past reviews and input from others. Unfortunately that did not happen. For $190 including the $20 tip. We receive substandard food macaroni dish aluminum foil pan. I paid $10 for four egg rolls that was smaller than my pinky. The steak bites came in a bowl typically look like it came from a microwavable dinner. The plates and bowls the entrees came on was chipped and or cracked just wasn't an overall good experience and sure as hell was not worth $220 they should just close their doors and start from scratch. 💯

Yelp
Food & Service I was charged before receiving my crab legs, manager claimed to have no paper to print receipt and waited over 30 minutes for for party to receive their food. I only received two cluster or crab legs when it was suppose to unlimited. After requesting several times to speak to the owner or have the owner call me it was refused. Improvements needed. 1) informed customers there is a 30 to 45 minute wait on all orders. 2).do not charge partial orders for :example I have as charged for crab legs before they arrive to the table and told to wear a wrist band so the owner could know how many orders were placed. 3).waitress should wear the hair pulled back. Now, if you just turn 21 and you want to turn up at a bar, pay for drinks with no alcohol and get loud and obnoxious ~. This it it!!!!! Otherwise, spend a little a more and go on the outskirts of Detroit and get some good service , good food and less water down drinks. This place does not appeal to all , food or drinks and lack professional staffing. What happened to the customer is ALWAYS RIGHT...

Yelp
We were disappointed to find out that this restaraunt was out of salmon, lobster, turkey, and steak bites so our menu was already limited. There was only one server that was working the bar and the tables but she was friendly. Our food took a long time to come to the table. It looked good but everything just tasted like it was missing something. The mac n cheese and potatoes with peppers had no seasoning. Everything was decent, it was just lacking flavor. I came here off of multiple recommendations and was very disappointed. The restaurant was cozy and small with a lowkey bar restaurant atmosphere.

Yelp
I had such a good time at Sloppy Chops! We had a booth for a party of four sorority sisters! Our server was such a sweetheart! It was his first day. We had lots of questions and anything he wasn't sure about he went to get the answer. I ordered the Sloppy Prime Beef Burger and fries. My sisters ordered various chops and the BEST Mac & Cheese. We were laughing and having such a good time that it was daytime when we arrived and dark when we left!

Yelp
The service was okay it was the best nor the worst and she did let us know that happy hour was starting soon n what specials they had. With that being said everything was overpriced with very small portions. It wasn't worth it. The sloppy chops had an okay taste but tiny, tough and a lot of fat. The broccoli had no taste. The mashed potatoes were okay a little lumpy but it was edible. Everything is à la cart. I wouldn't come back here by myself probably in a group setting if invited to an event.

Yelp
Tanya was our server. She was excellent. We enjoyed the drinks & the meal. Have a Lemon Drip Martini, I asked her to surprise me let Tonya surprise you with an adult beverage. Don't let the location or lack of parking discourage you. Tanya played a nice playlist, and the ambiance was on point. Go here for a girl's night out, a date or just because. Support the local business.

Yelp
I was initially very excited to try this place, but was ultimately not impressed. I ordered the chicken wings and macaroni. There were enough feathers that I had to take off the skin and my Mac turned into fries. My friend ordered a the mushroom burger and was excited about the garlic aioli only find out that there was none on the burger. The drinks were alright but I wouldn't come there just for that. Our server was really nice and checked on us constantly. My only complaint is that there was nothing written down so the Mac I wanted turned into fries and later a different waitress who also didn't write anything down almost forgot about a drink. The music inside the establishment was nice and I enjoyed that. If you look at the area on Google maps like I did, don't be fooled - the parking you see on the side of the building is not for patrons of the establishment. It was a decent experience considering the hype around the Sloppy brand but I don't need to return.

Yelp
The Cajun turkey chops were delicious!!! they're extremely crispy and flavorful. The fries were OK, but I would've chose a different side.

Yelp
Please don't waste your time AT ALL!!! Service not great only one good waitress food , wasn't the best at all everything MID, the crab legs were ok seeing I have to pay over 60 dollars for almost 1 pound Don't waste time they don't listen nor care for the customers and way over priced...

Yelp
My husband and I visited 4/22/22 based on a recommendation. We called in for reservations and were easily accommodated, though the reservations really weren't needed at 3pm as there was less than 20 patrons upon our arrival. We were greeted and seated quickly and our server was really sweet. She was attentive and We appreciated it. Our appetizer of fried shrimp was okay. I like home style cornmeal and flour batter etc... but these were like beer battered cod etc but it wasn't bad. My husband had the burger but stated it was not really good, he's not one to complain much or waste so he ate it anyway lol. I had the chicken Alfredo Cajun style and it was good. As a suggestion, I think they should serve a garlic toast or knot with that particular entree. Overall, we had a good time there for an early dinner. The ambiance and decor were cool, I'd assume it's a jumping spot on evenings and weekends. Last but not least cheers to the bartender who made a darn great top shelf Long Island!

Madelene C.

Yelp
I was over at Sloppy Chops on Six Mile, the food was great, but the service was terrible, there was only one server that was working, we had to wait for our utensils, also lemon for our water, ask for dinner roll or bread, come on now, and parking location also was terrible!!!

Yelp
The Lobster & Shrimp Mac & Chz is definitely giving an Alfredo Vibe & I'm mad about it! NEVERTHELESS the famous Lamb Chops & Yellow Rice more than accommodated for my disappointment I was expecting an oven baked mac! Otherwise, it should be removed from the menu... OHHH & my server/Bar Tender KoKo!! Yesss she's definitely CoCo Chanel sent! What a Vibe!! I love herrrr!

Yelp
This is a hidden gem. It is best to make a reservation in advance because the place was packed when we went. The ambiance is great they have an open kitchen you can see the food being made while h I love. The macaroni and cheese earned the title "best mac n cheese." It was delicious and the price wasn't bad at all. To be honest if I'm in the mood for food I would order just the mac n cheese and some drinks. The filet was over cooked so I wasn't impressed with it at all. I like my steak medium so to me it was like eating tough rubber. The seasoning wasn't impressive either. I did enjoy the surf n turf pasta. Just the pasta part though. Again the meat was g impressive. We ordered a bottle of wine and a few drinks. I did enjoy the patron margarita. I think I would give this spot another shot. I hope the cooks were having an off day because other than the steak not being good the rest was great.

Yelp
I was excited to patronize this establishment as I grew up just blocks from the location. It was a nice change to be able to have a dining experience in the city. I created the reservation via OpenTable to ensure seating when we arrived. Parking in the area is lacking which was anticipated having grown up in the area. The restaurant from the outside looks great. The atmosphere inside was more like that of a bar and grille than a premium steakhouse as it is coined. There was three guests total in my party. We waited a moment to be seated. It was awhile before our server came over to the table with menus. We had to also ask for water. There wasn't a wine list which was disappointing. I ordered the Lobster and Shrimp Alfredo, my guests had the Fried Lobster Tacos, and Teriyaki Salmon, respectively. The portion sizes were good. I was particularly surprised at the size of the tacos. They looked great! Although the sauce on my Lobster and Shrimp Alfredo was well seasoned, I found it to be slightly thin and runny despite penne noodles. I would have liked to have had it served with bread. Our server was notably absent once the food was delivered and it took a great while to receive the bill. Overall, not a bad experience. I had a different expectation going in with it being described as a premium steakhouse. I'll certainly go back to patronize them again. I would anticipate some of these issues being resolved as the restaurant continues to grow.

Yelp
Not would I would consider a fine steakhouse. We started off with valet for $10 and no real room to stop your car but big deal in the scheme of things. The restaurant is a little sparse in the decor but decor doesn't make the food. Our waitress was pleasant but was unfamiliar with any of the drinks at the restaurant. When my wife asked for a wine list the waitress asked what she liked. My wife stated cabernet to which the waitress responded "Yeah. We've got that." She did not know which beers the restaurant had either. We ordered the filet and bourbon chops. Both meats were cooked well but both had a sweet sauce on them that took away from the meat and was over powering after a few bites. The Cesar salad was way over dressed and the broccoli and green bean sides were ordered seemed lazy as both were with peppers and onions. All in all, not very impressed for a $160 meal.

Yelp
If you're looking for a place to test your patience and your taste buds, Sloppy Chops is the perfect spot for you! This restaurant could give a sloth a run for its money when it comes to slow service, and their food is so cold that it could ice skate its way to your table. I ordered chicken wings and I'm pretty sure that that they where in the back raising the chicken from eggs. iBy the time it arrived at my table, it was colder than a snowman's toenails and about as appetizing as a shoe sole. And don't even get me started on the mac and cheese - I think it was just noodles and cheese and was cold. But the real star of the show here is the service. If you're in a hurry, you'd better bring a good book or two, because you're going to be waiting a while. I had time to write a novel, learn a new language, and take a nap before my food arrived. And when it did finally show up, I was so shocked that I almost fell off my chair. I had to go find the him to get my silverware 15 minutes after I got my food. I guess we were supposed to do like the caveman do and use our hands. So, if you have a lot of time on your hands and a strong constitution, Sloppy Chops might be worth a visit. Just make sure you bring a jacket and a lot of patience.

Yelp
Making reservations, service, food, and ambiance was a mess from the very start. Not worth the time or money especially if you're visiting from out of town. Expect to wait for hours in a poorly temperature controlled environment with music blaring only to receive mediocre food and poor service. You will be forced to pay 18% gratuity no matter how awful your experience is. Read full review below for more details. Full Review: When we called to make reservations for our party of 11, we were told we had to pay $150 in cash to reserve. We had no problem with this; however, there was no option to pay this by debit/credit card even for out of town guests like ourselves, but they reluctantly held our reservation anyway. When we arrived, we were quickly seated at a large table on the upper level of the restaurant, but told we had to get up from the table because it was for a party of 13 "who paid their $150 deposit" and we would be moved to a lower level. It seemed passive aggressive, but we tried to shake it off and enjoy the night. However, our suspicions were correct and the party who overtook our table would continue to get preferential treatment and better service the entire night. After finally being seated, the manager informed us large parties should expect to wait 45 - 60 minutes for their food to be served. We put in our orders immediately because of this; yet, waited double this time, NEARLY TWO HOURS to be served our entrees. We were told by our server that the other party who took over our original table, was served first and our food was coming any minute repeatedly, but we still waited and waited. This party was finished eating before we even got a glimpse of our food... I guess we should have drove the two hours to pay the $150 deposit, as this party got preferential treatment from the start. As you wait hours for your food to be served, you'll constantly be putting on your jacket then taking it off, as the heat would randomly shut on and off.... sometimes it would simply just blow out cold air instead of hot. The music was way too loud and other guests began shouting to hear each other; the music would also cut off and back on at random and a television playing sports stopped working halfway through our dining experience. The food itself was appetizing, but mediocre at best and overpriced for the portion sizes ESPECIALLY the sides. Even though we waited this long for our entrees, some of our party received entrees and others had to wait 10-15 minutes for their main course and the sides came out at random and not with your meal. If you waited for your sides, your entree would be cold by the time it was served. The manager never once came back to the table and all we got was repetitive apologies about how long waited and how disorganized our food came out. Our grandmother, who was still waiting on her chicken wings as some of us were almost finished was told she would be "taken care of", but was still asked to pay her full bill. The kicker is... there is an automatic 18% gratuity added to all bills. I think the restaurant knows no one would leave a tip if given the option, so they make sure you don't have a choice.

Yelp
So myself and my family came to this establishment to celebrate my granddaughter's birthday, which I wouldn't recommend but to begin with the waitress was nice but they we're definitely struggling for help, we waited about 30-40 minutes b4 even getting our order taken, then even longer to get drinks! The food took even longer and if I'm not mistaken there was only 1 cook to a steady flow of people! Anyway, I did like the fact that the food all came out together BUT the food is NOT what it's cracked up to be!! I had the lamb chops, which is the only thing I liked, then I had the asparagus, really overcooked and the sweet potato mash looked like it was just thrown in the pan n served!! My son had the turkey chops, which he thought tasted salty, his asparagus was overcooked as well and we both had theStrawberry Hennessy which was ok but could have had a little more Hennessy added! Needless to say, it only mattered that my granddaughter had a good time but I don't think I'll be back! Oh and the ambiance, it put me in the mind of a very open bar kinda feel, I think it's not the place to celebrate a kids birthday and it's not right feel! There is no ambience for me, maybe if you're there with another person enjoying the bar feel, it'll maybe feel better but again without the help they need, you'll be there waiting! Although, our waitress did the best she could with a party of like 13!

Yelp
Sloppy chops is sloppy indeed! I can't speak on the quality of the food because I gave up waiting for my order after 2 hours. They were understaffed and the little staff that was scheduled was undertrained. Thier policy is to serve you a $55/plate meal with plastic utensils. If you insist upon metal utensils, be prepared to clean them yourself before use. A name change to Sloppy Jokes would set a more realistic expectation for prospective diners. For me, I now know better than to take a chance on them again.

Yelp
The food we got was good, as to everything we ordered and didn't get idk. Plus the 4 hour lag when our reservation was at 6:30 and we weren't sat until 7:30 and not even given water until 8... wouldn't recommend

Yelp
Sloppy Chops occupies a unique space in Detroit, neighborhood upscale steakhouse. The thing that makes it a neighborhood place, first and foremost is that it is not in an active commercial hub, and second the dining room feels smaller and cozy, relative to other large scale steak houses. On balance this was a really nice experience. Started with Lobster Tacos, which were awesome. At $18 for a generous serving of three tacos, this was the winner, and we will definitely be back for these. Also had the lamb chops, which again was a generous serving of nice chops, and blackened chick with was good. Wait staff and managers were all friendly and attentive. The environment was clean and bright, lots of blond wood instead of the dark wood you might normally expect from a steakhouse.

Yelp
First off, the parking is horrible! I made reservations so that being said, I was very excited about coming to this place. The server was very nice and polite and we appreciated that, because my food had to be sent back, I ordered the Cajun chicken and shrimp Alfredo and it was cold, she politely took it back and they heated it up, now it was just warmer and really bland flavorless not to mention the soda was flat, and she took the soda back and offered us strawberry lemonade which happened to be very good.. We also ordered the fried lobster tacos, they were just decent. They trying, so I won't give up on them.

Rae B.

Yelp
Waiting an hour after having a reservations.shorty didn't even bring the drinks let alone an appetizer. Left after and hour and ten minutes after nothing but water. No need to support an establishment that doesn't even care about basics.

Yelp
Sort of a diamond in the rough? I have mixed feelings about this place. On one end, it is an attempt of next level dining in area in Detroit that is not downtown or midtown which is an impressive plus. On the other end, perhaps it is the execution of things. Drinks were slow and expensive compared to the ingredients and portion and there were a couple of order hiccups that happened where the wrong food was given. Considering the average plate price, I would recommend more serious staff than eye candy because their attitudes can be easily read and consider I was was the only in a party of four, everytime the server left, the read her and talked about. The food was ok. Had fun with the lobster and shrimp Mac! I was overwhelmed by how big the fried lobster tacos were. Ended up trading one for a couple lamb chops; lamb chops were tasty. Would I go back? Probably...I would know what to look forward to. Most likely would sit at the bar and eat. No drink, just food.

Erika W.

Yelp
Longest wait ever for just ok to decent food & you can save your money and skip the adult beverages. Watched & waited forever after ordering...we were warned about the wait but goodness gracious! It was worse than expected. Music was overly loud where could not hear the person next to me without almost yelling. I hope they improve as I think it could be an amazing place once significant service issues are resolved...I won't be back to find out.

Yelp
Disgusting and overhyped. I can't trust you if you fuck up alfredo. The chefs clearly don't give a fuck about what they put out. Extremely bland, took one bite and trashed it. The sauce is definitely not from scratch and as a Chef, I was PISSED.

Yelp
I should have read Yelp reviews before we committed! Quick review: Over-priced, poor drinks, sloppy dishes- and not in a good way, not clean behind the bar. Detailed Review: We went in on a Sunday evening as a party of 3. We sat at the bar. The decor seemed nice enough but there were enough red flags before we even ordered that should have made us walk right back out the door but I was determined to support this neighborhood business. There were wait stations in full view that were junky and unkempt and sitting at the bar, there was a sour smell that lead us to believe they were not cleaning behind the bar well. The bartender took our drink orders. Two of us ordered a Sloppy Old Fashion, which was featured on their drink specials menu. We received two bottom-shelf apple martinis. The bartender was so nice, I didn't have the heart to tell her. Nevertheless, those poor drinks were $12 a piece. My best friend opted for water after our disappointing round. Our second round of drinks were just as bad; a glass of vinegary tasting wine and a bottle of skunky Michelob Ultra. For dinner, we ordered lamb chops. My fiancé and I split an order and my BFF ordered her own. We ordered our chops medium; they came back well. Dinner tasted ok but I could have done better myself. The bill came and I almost fell off the stool! $170 which included a $26 tip...for a party of 3...at the bar! We won't be back and Sloppy Crab is off the table as well.

Yelp
I hate to leave reviews for small neighborhood businesses when they aren't favorable. However, I feel that Yelp is excellent for helping consumers choose where to spend their hard-earned dollars, so I'll continue on. I wanted to like the place, it's curb appeal is kind of cute. The interior decor is nice. The concept seemed a little odd to me. I don't understand the use of the word "sloppy" for a restaurant. Nevertheless, I was aware that it was a small independent neighborhood business so I took a chance. The phone order went well. The woman taking my order suggested dessert. The strawberry crunch cheesecake sounded like a great idea, so I added it on to my order of shrimp Alfredo. I was a bit shocked to learn that the dessert was $10. For a neighborhood restaurant, the menu and price points seem off to me. Dining here is rather expensive. I noticed that they have cowboy ribeyes and surf & turf on the menu. Just seems out of place for a corner in the neighborhood. I would rather dine on such fare at an upscale establishment. But to each their own. I live very close so I waited in my car for quite a while before going in. The flow of traffic in this corona environment concerned me. There were tons of people in and out. Some carrying food, some not. The corner became a little reckless at a point with people whipping their cars around the crowded corner. There definitely isn't enough parking for the steady flow of people. There is no parking lot. I finally went in to retrieve my order and was greeted after standing there for almost ten minutes. There were no waiting customers, however, the lady was taking a phone order and conversing with other staff. When she looked for my order, it wasn't ready. There was a table with bags of food stacked fairly high awaiting customer pick-up. Hopefully, as the restaurant matures, so will the timing. My order of Alfredo though tasty, wasn't what I expected. The shrimp were overcooked and the sauce was thin and runny. The cheesecake was good, but certainly nothing that I need to have again. Sloppy Chops is definitely a "no" for me.

Yelp
Well, there's a lot to be desired but not fulfilled here. We anticipated and had high hopes. They went unfulfilled. We ordered 2 16oz Ribeyes that contained a good 4-5oz fat/gristle. They were not charred-grilled; they were flattop griddled with tomatoes on top. What?! No grilled onions. No mushrooms. Just very unsatisfactory at a whopping $55 a piece. No sides with the steak. Everything was all carte. So we ordered sautéed broccoli. So blahzé and luke- warm. We ordered garlic parmesan fries. We sent them back to be redone because they were over cooked. The waiter said, they would come out the same because of the grease. We had them taken off the bill. The Sloppy potatoes were just, blah. They were supposed to be topped with cheese, onions and peppers, but everything was underneath the potatoes. The whipped butter didn't even melt on them because they were cold. The reason they got two stars was because M-Dot tried to make it right by giving us a discount and a free drink. I appreciate that. Service was slow because the hostess was waiting tables. There weren't enough wait staff. I forgot that reservations were required but they use a service that never confirmed our reservation. My husband slipped M-Dot a $20 to get us seated, even though there were empty tables. ‍ Unbelievable, but true. Save your money and eat at home.

Yelp
So I got the opportunity to visit this restaurant with five friends for their soft opening and we were all excited about trying their menu because we are familiar with the chef. This soon to be fully open restaurant is on the westside of Detroit in an area that could use more businesses like this. The only downside is that there is no parking lot so parking is at a minimum but this night they did offer valet but I'm not sure if will be available once they officially open. The inside is nice and completely renovated with seating at tables, a few booths and a bar area but on this night the owners had not yet secured their liquor license so we were offered complimentary wine. That would have been ok if the waitress had known more than that they had some reds and some whites and if the wine was served in wine glasses and not juice glasses. I know it is hard to secure good qualified wait staff, especially in smaller places such as this but our waitress could definitely use some more customer service skills. After reviewing the menu which everything looks worth trying, we tried the Stuffed Salmon, the Surf and Turf, the Sloppy Chops(lamb), the Steak Bites, the mac and cheese and the Mosticiolli. All entrees are served a la carte. All of our dishes were very good and well portions, the only thing was the waitress brought out our items one at a time and some of us was eating while others had to wait. I was half way through my dish by the time my baked potato came out. I would strongly suggest they work on improving the kitchen flow. I think this restaurant could be successful in this area despite some of the minor issues. I doubt if I would go back but I suggest others to give them a try if just to show community support and offer feedback. Also, while there on of the owners did come to our table and asked how our dining experience was so we were able to voice our concerns and give positive feedback as well. I only gave it four stars because the food was delicious.

Yelp
Food is amazing. Especially the lobster Mac and cheese. The drinks were well crafted and the steak bites were juicy!

Yelp
Let me first say I suck for not taking a pic of the food but hopefully others will come through. I couldn't let my picture skills or lack thereof prevent me from leaving a POSITIVE review of this establishment. Great adult beverages at a reasonable price. Friendly people and great service. Clean! Nice ambience and lighting. No super loud music where you needed or yell over one another. Open view of the kitchen...cause they know y'all funny actin and wanna see what's happening behind the curtain. And last but not least the food was really really good! Mac and cheese tastes like HOME! So nice to be able to support an establishment in the community that is clearly showing pride in their vision and showcasing their craft. Cannot wait to come go back!

Yelp
Amazing!!!!!!!! I came to visit Detroit and this was one of the places I saw on the news that interest me. The food looked good and it was an area of town that I would not normally visit. When I called prior to arrival I was told a reservation was not needed so that made me feel good. We got there at around 630pm. They close at 9 pm to be aware of the time. The downfall is they are located on a corner and there is no actual parking lot so you will need to park on the street. When we walked in we were seated in like ten minutes which was great. I was hungry so getting seated was important. Lol when seated it took over ten minutes fir someone to greet me but I'm hungry and patient. I looked at the menu prior so I knew I had to try the lamb chops. What the waitress didn't say was that the lamp chops come with a small portion of mashed potatoes under it. There is NO need to order another alacarte side of mashed potatoes. (FYI). Be ready to spend because everything is alacarte with an automatic gratuity included. My friend ordered the pork chops and honey.......Amazing!!!!!! The sweet potatoe casserole was good I don't think I liked the Mac and cheese. I didn't drink this time cause I was so hungry but the drink combinations looked worth trying. Overall when I visit again I plan to come back and try something different. Service was good, food was amazing just just the parking could be an issue if a very busy day. Give it a try it's wS worth the hype.

Yelp
Fine dining in the "hood" and the presentation is nice. No parking lot. You can park on 6 mile or the side street. Twin lobster tower looked amazing. The asparagus was great. It had a nice Parmesan sauce and wasn't over cooked. Lamb chops were delicious. And served on top of mashed potatoes. The smothered potatoes were the only dish that I can complain about. The drinks from the bar were good. The strawberry Hennessy was really good.

Yelp
Flew in to Detroit from Philly to dine in at the Sloppy Chops restaurant for dinner. I enjoyed the food however the waitress was forgetful about things which probably due to her having multiple tables to service. The food was good. I had the Veggie Spring rolls for an appetizer which was VERY good. For my entree I had the Blackened Salmon Pasta. I loved the Black owned Establishment. I would dine here again

Yelp
I tried to make a reservation online for 8 people and couldn't so I called. I called multiple times for 3 days straight with no answer. It's frustrating. The online reservation service does not let you reserve that many people. I just wish someone would answer the phone. I've eaten here before and loved my food but had to go elsewhere for a birthday dinner because I couldn't speak to anyone in the restaurant.

Bethany and the General manager made you feel very comfortable and I felt welcomed! It was my birthday they provided me with this rich cheesecake it was soooo good! When in town I'll be back!!

Yelp
Bad review! Sloppy Chops on 6 mile is the worse restaurant in Detroit. Never again. This establishment is literally down the street from my home. It has been open for a while but I decided to go into it within the past 9 months three different occasions. Today being the last time. For this establishment to be extremely slow to the point that no one's in the building most of the time they have horrible customer service and are extremely slow for no apparent reason. The food is very overpriced and very mediocre

Yelp
I really enjoyed my visit at this restaurant. Everything was perfect ; the service, food, and drinks were excellent. Even the bathroom was clean and modern. I would highly recommend this place. It feels great to get a great meal without driving out the city.

Yelp
Let's start with the customer services (10Stars)! I called the order in & the lady who took the order was super pleasant. She repeated the order back and said someone will call when it was ready in about 45-1 hour. Someone called around 20 mins later saying the food was ready. Upon arrival the food was in fact ready, I paid and left. Got home, like 15 mins later & the food was still hot. Ordered the shrimp & lobster pasta, strawberry shortcake cheesecake & stuffed salmon. Everything was delicious!

Yelp
My two daughters and I dined a couple weeks ago. The food was pretty good. Beautiful decor. Waitress was disengaged. Not welcoming. I enjoyed the turkey wing dinner. I was hoping you served a scrumptious fried chicken dinner.

Yelp
Location on 7 Mile & Littlefield is not conducive for parking. Traffic on 7 is reckless & parking non-existent. Side street parking is almost non-existent and residents do no welcome. After dark is suspect! No security noted. Welcome staff were not welcoming. Inside appeared wanna be but not quite upscale. No wait on Saturday at 3 pm (only 2 other diners). Booth had rickety table that was too far from seat & I had to sit on edge of seat to reach food. Requested water. Ordered Long Islands with top shelf liquor (staff stated that would cost more). Later bartender yelled across room to waitress that owner forgot to order premix for Long Island & all liquor was the same (although they charge more for top shelf!). We observed bartender pour liquor in glasses, add Pepsi Cola, lots of ice & lemons. The DRINKS WERE HORRIBLE! The liquor was very CHEAP--definitely not top shelf! We tried doctoring by adding lime, more lemon & even sugar but ended up not drinking. Appetizer: Grilled jumbo shrimp arrived with what appeared to be covered with Lawrys season salt & a dip of what appeared to be warm milk, butter, flour & lots of salt! We used our napkins to rub off seasoning & left the mystery dip alone. Entrees: (a la carte & $$$) 2 grill Bourbon Chops w/mash potatoes & 2 Turkey fried Chops w/mac & cheese. Both were served well & taste ok. Dessert: chocolate cake was heavy & dry but icing was good. Over all DISAPPOINTED. Wanted to like local spot for regular place to eat out, but WILL NOT RETURN! Prices are not in line w/quality of food/drinks & location!

Yelp
First time at Sloppy Chops and the food was delicious!!! The host Aisha was so welcoming and friendly and checked on us throughout the night. Our server Jeremiah was the best! He gave us great suggestions about what to order and was able to describe in detail what to expect when ordering the entrees which made it hard to decide! My husband went with Jeremiah's suggestion and ordered the sloppy chops w/asparagus and potatoes and was not disappointed! I ordered cajun pasta w/blacken salmon and it was also delicious. The lamb chops was a "10" the drinks was a "10" and the atmosphere was a "10"! Shout out to talented chefs too...great job!!!

Yelp
Giving this place 1 stars because the waitress was nice outside of that, everything else was terrible. To start off with, there is nowhere to park, you literally have to park on the street, and that's if you get lucky and find a spot. Next, the time you have to wait between ordering and actually getting your food is ridiculous. The restrooms are super small. When my wife's food and my food finally did come, it was warm, honestly almost cold the only thing that was hot was the fried shrimp and the fried shrimp was the only thing that tasted good. The main course the sloppy chops (which didn't have a price on the menu and everything else did) again, was warm, was basically cold tasted ok, but had a very overpowering sauce that took away from the actually meat. We also had steak bites and rice, which unfortunately was basically cold and had the same sauce . Overall, it was a bad experience. I was hoping to write a great review because I heard so many great things about this place, and the food looked good on tic tok lol but unfortunately I will not be going back and would not recommend this place I was very disappointed especially for a $200 bill not to mention I feel sick now
