Cozy neighborhood farm-to-table hangout for modern American & Asian fare, plus beer, wine & a patio.
"When this Moby-owned vegan restaurant - where 100% of profits go to animal rights organizations - opened in 2015, it quickly became the most Silver Lake restaurant in all of Silver Lake. And after a few years of operation, it still owns that title. But it also owns the title of being a very solid and unpretentious vegan restaurant. The all-white space feels like your roommate’s Etsy page, but in a way that’s tolerable and actually nice to look at. Everything on the menu falls under $17." - brant cox
"This is Moby’s vegan restaurant - 100% of profits go to animal rights organizations - and when it opened in 2015, it was quickly crowned Most Silver Lake restaurant in all of Silver Lake. And after a few years of operation, it still owns that title. But it’s also a very solid and unpretentious vegan spot that even non-vegans will love. The overly monochromatic space feels like your roommate’s Etsy page, but in a way that’s tolerable and actually nice to look at." - brant cox
"With their entirely plant-based menu and a pledge to donate profits to animal rights organizations, Little Pine is the perfect spot for vegetarians, flexitarians, and anyone who has ever watched a Netflix documentary on factory farming. But there are no condescending lectures or PETA pamphlets at this Silver Lake restaurant, just a very solid mix of very healthy food. Make sure you start with an order of the broccoli arancini - they’re dense, beefy (well, not beefy) risotto cakes, and are ideal to eat while discussing topics like cow methane and how 45% of the Earth’s total land is covered by livestock." - brant cox, kat hong
"Last night got a little wild and you ended up doing a late-night shot of something that was light blue and glow-in-the-dark. Time to give back to your body (and the world at large) and go to Little Pine. The all-vegan, Moby-owned Silver Lake spot where all proceeds go to animal welfare organizations is as Eastside as it gets, but the food here is pretty good. Also, the all-white space is calm, casual, and not as much of a scene on the weekends as you would imagine." - jess basser sanders, brant cox
"Cypress Grove, the actual cheesemakers behind the famous curd Humboldt Fog is putting together a cheeseboards for dinner event this Sunday. Head to Silver Lake’s Small Town Restaurant anytime from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. for a customizable two-ounce cheese board with goods from Northern California’s 21st Amendment Brewery and Rustic Bakery." - Mona Holmes
