While the seating is limited to the second level upstairs the food is great as I have come to expect as at the other locations throughout the city. At this location there seems to be special offers for students and kids.

Good space. Went at Tuesday 1:30pm, no crowds and got food ten mins after ordering. Placed order at counter, chose to eat in, and went upstairs and placed tag on table. There was bar but unstaffed at time. Clean, bathroom and delicious all American double patty buger

The place was clean! The staff was amazing and the food www great. This was my first time ever having Smash Burger and it definitely SMASHED!

George at the front counter was excellent...very enthusiastic and friendly. He helped us pick our favorites to order, brought everything to our table, and checked on us twice after. One of the best Smash burger experiences ever.

I mainly wanted to give a big shout out to the incredibly friendly and effective crew at the Lexington Avenue/62nd St. Smashburger that i encountered this afternoon. Everything was a well-oiled machine and the line manager was constantly checking in on orders and wishing everyone a happy holiday. The space was clean, orders were handled expertly and everyone was on it for each order. Honestly the best experience I've has at a fast food establishment. Big shout out to the whole team!

My daughter loves Smashburger. I was in the area and decided to give it a try. I visited in April 2023. The staff was welcoming and took her time to explain the popular menu items to us. I decided to get the classic smash burger with the smashed tater tots. My aunt also got the classic smash burger with everything on it with smash fries. Let me tell you we were not impressed. I was pleased the staff cooked my burger well done as I requested however it was lacking seasoning. I absolutely love tater tots but I was completed disappointed with the taste of the smash tots. It had a weird after taste and they seemed like they were overcooked. My aunt also thought her burger lacked flavor seasoning and didn’t like her smashed fries. She didn’t even eat them. It’s as if the fries were soaked in oil. The buns however were really soft. I may give the restaurant another chance I just won’t get the smashed tater tots. We also didn’t receive our orders together. My food came first and it took about an additional 10 minutes for my aunt to receive hers. There is seating outdoors as well as seating upstairs. There is also a full bar available. You can also refill your drink upstairs. There is also an elevator at this location to get upstairs. The restrooms were also really clean. The store is available via public transportation.

The best smash burger in town. Customer service was great, the environment was comfy and the food was fantastic. The burger and sweet potato fries were cooked to perfection - everything tasted fresh. They also bring the food to your table which is refreshing after walking and standing the entire day. I highly recommend, would return to this location. Tip to management, maybe clean the tables upstairs more often but overall you guys are doing a great job. Quality food & very satisfied.

They dicide to have "bar area" then they need to manage better. Only 1 person in charge of one bar / sit down area to cover efficiency is not there. Therefore. Service is slow, luck of napkins everywhere, can't order sooner, one order can be forever!! The hamburger was great though. It was unfortunate to experience as first time.

Smashburger is a fast-casual hamburger chain that was founded in Denver Colorado. They were founded in 2007. They have over 200 restaurants and are in 35 states. As the name implies, they are known for their juicy burgers. I visited the location in the Upper East Side, and I was impressed not only by the food but also by the hospitality. I've been to this location before but didn't realize that they had an upstairs area with a full bar. The drinks that I had were strong, tangy, and refreshing. Let's start with the smash burger itself juicy, perfectly seasoned, and that crispy sear on the patty? Chef's kiss! I went for the classic with melted cheddar, but the real MVP? The secret sauce creamy, tangy dream that tied everything together. Every bite was juicy, flavorful, and just the right amount of messy (in the best way possible, of course)! I can't forget about the sweet crispy Brussels sprouts either. Tossed in some kind of magical glaze, they were crispy on the outside with a perfect caramelized sweetness on the inside delicious doesn't even cover it. Who knew Brussels sprouts could steal the show?! The cherry on top was their happy hour cocktails. I tried their signature coconut mule and it was a burst of refreshing flavors think tropical vibes in a glass. Super light but with just enough kick to complement the meal. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal

First Impressions - N/A, ordered for delivery to work The Noms - Classic smash burger - last night I was craving a burger and ordered the classic smash.. it was satisfying and the perfect size. Burger was juicy and it was the right amount of sauce. Fries were good too. The next day for lunch I was craving chicken so I ordered the bacon avocado smash crispy chicken burger. I was disappointed in this one because the chicken was too dry. No flavor but too salty. Fries were good, just like yesterday. In Conclusion - I would still order from here, but only the burgers, definitely going to avoid any of the chicken sandwiches. You should too.

My first visit to SMASHBURGER, and WOW!! THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS!! I really wasn't expecting it to be this good, but it really is excellent!! I ordered the CLASSIC DOUBLE SMASH, and REGULAR FRIES-YUMMY!! I ENJOYED EVERY MORSAL OF EVERYTHING! LOL PERFECT SHOESTRING FRIES!! REALLY DELISH!!! Just the way I like them. Crispy on the outside, and yummy on the inside. THE CLASSIC DOUBLE SMASH--WONDERFULLY DELICIOUS!! Mmm, comes with green shredded lettuce, fresh slices of tomato, American cheese, pickle slices, and you can help yourself to condiments at the condiments station, near the sodas and napkins. I recommend a fork for when some of the lettuce or tomatoes need a little redirecting as you eat your burger. DELICIOUS burger and fries, and I'll be back, for sure!! Respectfully suggesting- remember to keep an eye on the outdoor tables, to wipe them down as needed. And, do not hesitate to tell a first time customer that THE FOOD IS REALLY GOOD! :). When I ordered, I said that it was my first time here, and I even asked a couple of questions, and I appreciated the quick answers, including, consulting with a colleague in order to get an answer. NICE!! But if you had told me the food is great, I would have had a little bit more peace of mind. I wasn't sure what to expect. The Yelp reviews were very good, but I did not feel any enthusiasm from the staff, in terms of liking the food.... Sometimes that can really be nice to hear. OVERALL-GREAT FOOD!!! Nice staff.

I am literally salivating as I attempt to write this review. I went big, snagging an avocado bacon burger, fries, onion rings, and an oreo milkshake. Three days later, my taste buds are still singing. That meal taught me more about self-love than thousands of dollars worth of therapy (to be fair, that's like two sessions, but still). The avocado bacon burger is every bit as luscious as it sounds. It's velvety avocado tangoing with smoky bacon on a gleaming parquet of beef and oozy cheese. How could you not learn something about love from it? The shoestring fries and onomatopoeia-worthy CRUNCHY onion rings served as perfectly balanced textural and flavorful compliments, at some points threatening to steal the show. The oreo milkshake, meanwhile, is basically liquid dopamine. But with oreo chunks at the bottom that you have to eat with a spoon. Absolutely sensational. Also, since this is a review, I should add that the upstairs is cool. There's a good amount of seating and lots of sun. I sat by the window where I could watch pedestrians scurry around with yoga mats on their backs while I housed truffle fries. I would be lying if I said that didn't make them taste even better.

Hmmm health violations? I wasn't aware of that before going there. The burger was not so smashed nor very good, tasted very fast food for the price. The place was busy though so it might be tasty to others. Service wasn't great. Won't go back.

New Smashburger in UES and it has a unique space. You order food on the first floor and if you would like seating they have a larger space on the second with a bar. Very friendly for families since there's an elevator. I ordered a truffle burger and brussel sprouts and it was very tasty and loaded with lots of mushrooms. Sprouts were nice and crispy and not greasy. Strawberry shake was not as thick as I would like but it was still tasty. The only thing I can knock them for is that there's really no one upstairs so if you need extra supplies like condiments you have to go all the way back downstairs. Plus the bar just kinda looks out of place and there were a few flies just buzzing around so that needs to be addressed. Overall would go there again if in need a quick bite.

I literally was walking in the city looking for a place for lunch and saw someone carrying a "Smashburger" bag and my quest to find it started. I have always wanted to go try their burgers and they do offer a pretty decent menu. After walking around a bit I actually found it with the help of my gps. I ordered a double cheese burger with tater tots. Which really hit the spot for me, and it was delicious. When you first walk in you would think that this place was small but they do have an upstairs that has I guess you would call it a full bar but there was no bartender but they did have many tables, a few booths plus window seating. After you put your order in you just go upstairs an select a place you want to sit to wait for your food. Everything ran seamlessly because I really didn't have to wait too long for my food. There are a couple of large T.V's to occupy your time. They do offer free refills but I was to lazy to go back downstairs to refill my drink. Would I come here again, absolutely.

I would give it 0 stars actually the manager Leon told us that our $50 bill was fake and made a big scene about it with attitude , meanwhile the cashier was telling her other colleague that the pen they use to mark bigger bills wasn't working..... so make it make sense. The problem was the attitude of the manager and the lack of common sense . Decided to not give out service to them

Enjoy watching the crew's comraderie as they each do their part while I wait for my order. Beef, veggie, bean burgers are all really good and I like the chicken tenders too although they are quite salty. Not too sure about the milkshakes though. The first time they were fine, the second time, they tasted weirdly metallic. They do deliver on time.

I enjoyed my meal here. I was just in the mood for something greasy and so I found myself trying something new. I also ordered a regular size order for french fries which were alright. It was clean inside and not particularly packed on a Friday night, and I found the the staff was helpful. I think I waited about fifteen to twenty minutes for my food, so it's not fast, because there's lots of to-go orders. I just can't believe that there is bar on the 2nd floor. Cool surprise. There's standing spot to eat downstairs and also more seating upstairs. I might revisit.

On the lookout for the best smash burger in NYC and unfortunately it wasn't here. For almost $20 a burger, it wasn't melt in your mouth, and the fries were a bit cold. The location is great for coming to just enjoy some bar food, watch a game, however. It's large and the service was good enough. The shake was also a bit watery.

Quick and attentive service in a very clean and spacious setting with apple seating on the second floor. Ordered a double mushroom burger with a side of brussel sprouts that was packed with nicely sauteed mushrooms and crisply fried brussel sprouts on a very juicy burger. Brisket burger was moist and smoky. Kids meal was a very nice size.

Smash burger surprisingly has an upstairs bar - very laid back spot! You can order downstairs and they will give you a number and deliver your food to you if you wanted to check out the bar. Good selection of beers on tap, bottles, canned wine, and a variety of alcohol to make well drinks. The burger itself was good but a bit greasy. Servers are friendly. I could have skipped the onion rings and should have gotten the tots, but I'll save that for next time!

My go to for lunch when I'm in the office, unfortunately the burger i get has been missing the onion strings which made the burger perfect. They switched to onion rings but have been out of stock for a while now. Service is quicker than it used to be which is great when on a short lunch and kitchen always looks nice and clean.

I am not a big burger person but this is a good burger! I've never had a smash burger and was really curious so we went to our local Smashburger. We had: - Smashburger - very good - Onion Rings - very thin, salty and delicious - Sweet Potato Fries - tasty - Mike Shake - very good Overall a nice meal and much better than McDonalds and on a par with Shake Shack.

This location always has great food and amazing service. Regardless of how crowded it is, the staff is always kind and hospitable. Even when the bar is not open, they give the service you'd expect at a bar from your neighborhood bartender. Great place to go for a good burger and a nice cold one. 5 out of 5 for me!

I have purchased both beef and impossible burgers from their location on Lexington Avenue . The burgers are tasty, properly cooked and of good size. I really love their fries' seasoning. The staff is very friendly; place clean, but I prefer given the limited seating to take out from that location.

Things move slowly here as the workers do a lot chatting with each other and certain clients/ friends of theirs. Don't expect to place your order quickly if you are iooking to get in and out. I understand that it takes time to cook the burgers, but this is their business, it's in their name. It shouldn't take 15 minutes to get a to-go order of a plain cheeseburger and a small order of French fries, especially when there was no other customers on line and it appeared that mine was the only order on the grill.

I would give the food 5 stars (who doesn't love Smashburger?!) and the service and the cleanliness of the bathroom a 1. The Mac & Cheese Burger and Smashfries were delicious and came upstairs to my table in about 10 minutes. I don't understand how hard it is for them to make 2 milkshakes and bring them upstairs. My friend and I both ordered Oreo milkshakes and we didn't get them until after we were ready to leave and told them that we never got them. The bathroom is a disgusting mess too. Typical NYC style... Enter at your own risk.

Please save your money and don't come here. This is what I got for $17. The onion rings were $5 and I only got 7. Please please go anywhere else. 7th Street Burger is a million times better and you get what you pay for. Will not be returning.

Ordered wings for takeout, and they were two hours late. When I finally got them, they were almost raw! I asked for a refund, staff was super rude and I never got the refund. Please don't patronize this place.

Wow this one made me sad. After waiting for 20 minutes upstairs at the bar not only did no one let me order a drink, but my veggie burger showed up freezing cold. Also $5 for this many onion rings ? You have got to be kidding me. Shame on you smash burger upper east side. I loved when I went to the one in New Jersey. Place is clean but it also looks new. Maybe you guys just haven't worked it all out yet.

Came in for lunch, and it was my first time having Smashburger. The location is very clean, lots of seating upstairs. I think the coolest thing about this place, it has a full bar upstairs! Now for the food. I chose the avocado burger and got regular fries. My first issue, the price tag. $20 (without tip, which always feels mandatory when it pops up on the screen) for a burger, fries and soda, is a bit steep...but this is the new norm with other commercialized burger places. The burger itself tasted good, the meat was cooked right at the well down mark, not too cooked not pink at all. The seasoning was a bit bland in some bites but flavorful on others. The fries were seasoned well, slightly salty but I did enjoy them. For drink I got Dr Pepper, but cool to see XXX vitamin water at the soda machine! The service here is great and I really like the location. I would come back to try another burger or their chicken, but it'll have to be on payday cause regardless $20 for burger, fries and a drink is fairly steep to pay for lunch in my opinion it has to be amazzzzzing for that price tag, and this was above average. I've had better burgers elsewhere, but I definitely have also had worse..maybe next time I'll try something else.

Food was so cold that I had to force it down because I was starving!!! Food was good but freezing!!!! ‍

Burger not to my liking, but that's personal preference...However, what should be basic rules, and universally preferred, are: *If you're making my burger, and talking and/or laughing, sniffling, etc., you should be wearing a mask! *If you're making my burger and playing with your hair and touching your nose, it makes no difference if you're wearing gloves! Smashingly gross! No excuse for the lack of proper hygiene and cleanliness in a joint like this. (And the burger-makers are all out in the open, where waiting customers watch. You would think that management would be extra conscious of these habits!) Masks, covered hair, and clean gloves should be basic and a given across food preparation operations at Smashburger and everywhere else.

This place is so clean and the service was so courteous. Every server was so polite. My first time here and definitely I am going back. Cashiers also were nice. The burger was 8/10. Tater tots a bit greasy but tasty 3/5.

Decided to order the COLORADO BURGER, it was bit spicier than i expected but it was okay. I also ordered SMASH TOTS which very oily and overly seasoned. The CHOCOLATE SHAKE with Oreos was nothing the special.

I love eating here so much ! I love that they offer a black bean burger for the vegetarians/ vegans like myself hehe :) definitely a good place to go on long, tedious college days !

the burger patties are thicker than what i expected. i thought these were going to be thin like shake shack. the burgers taste no better than burger king. the chicken tenders were great. will return just for those

First time trying it - burger was impressive. Had the double bacon (don't bother with single poor value). It was fresh and tasty. Skip the special smash sauce it's mustard based. Tots looked good I regretted not ordering one. Overall shake shack a few blocks away still beats it handily (more juicy, greasy and more efficient despite being far more crowded) but it's close. It wasn't that crowded on a weekday at noon - burger took about 7 mins which was fine (not sure why all the complaints about long wait times).

I've ordered from here before. Staff is really nice. Today I ordered a classic double and my burger had one skinny patty. Not sure if it's suppose to be two burger Patties. Was disappointed since I live an hr away. I usually Stop by here after work.

I sent the below review to Smashburger through their website on 7/27/23: "I attended Smashburger for the first time on 7/20/23. I explained to multiple employees that I have Celiac Disease and follow a strict gluten free diet. The cashier was extremely rude and unhelpful. Her name was Raenell. She then had me speak to a woman in the back who assured me that I could eat the black bean burger. I asked multiple questions confirming that it was in fact gluten free. Eating gluten can put me into a hospital. Luckily this time I was only extremely ill and did not have to go to the emergency room. The staff was unhelpful and their mistake has done permanent damage to my intestines. I want my money back and hope you will inform your staff how to properly handle allergies." After sending the above email, I received a call from Clark Earthman, the Director of Operations Tri-State NYC on 7/28/23. Initially he seemed like we would be extremely helpful, he told me he had a relative with Celiac and that he completely understood. He said he would speak to the staff and provide me with a refund and e-vouchers. After this conversation, I never heard back from him. I texted him following up on 8/8/23 and 8/15/23. When I eventually heard back I had to remind him of the issues and he told me again that he would send vouchers and asked me to text him my CC info to get a refund. I said I wasn't comfortable sharing that information over text and asked to be reimbursed by check. He then told me to email my CC number which again I was not comfortable doing. After that I got an email from him on 8/30/23, as if we had never spoken prior. He once again said he would send me vouchers. I never received any form of voucher, reimbursement, or guarantee that the staff would be properly trained on allergies. I follow a gluten free diet due to Celiac Disease. Eating gluten when having Celiac can cause long term effects including forms of cancer, diabetes. arthritis, damaged intestines, joint pain, and more. The staff was extremely unprofessional and gave no indication that they would handle allergies better. I would not recommend anyone that has an allergy to eat at Smashburger. It is clear the staff does not take allergies seriously and does not want to make this right.

The Smash classic comes with lettuce tomatoes pickles and red onions. This is the 2nd time they ask me if I want the works and it's missing my favorite part....the red Onions.

I didn't know about this fairly new location until I passed by in the neighborhood and I was pleasantly surprised. I got my food pretty fast and went upstairs to their lovely dine in area to wait for my food that was delivered by the polite server. They also have a sports bar along with 3 wide screen TV's entertainment. The staff and Bartender were friendly and allowed me to request a specific game to watch. I had the truffle burger and haystack onion rings. I look forward to coming here more often keep up the good work!

Very good burger at a near rock-bottom price, and nice staff. I had a Classic Single and it was very good. The bun was also very good: somewhat sweet and chewy. I'll be back. There is a bar upstairs. It wasn't open for lunch, but that's a great addition.

Such a beautiful location, Brand New! Welcoming Staff and Managers! Burgers were delicious, that Brisket Burger is AMAZING! Will come back again 10/10

I walked in and not one person looked up to greet me. They still have an hour left to close down and I didn't know until I looked on website BUT they looked like they were shutting down . I asked 'are u guys closed ' ? Some very unfriendly looking woman just shakes her head no so I thought there was hope to get a bite to eat . But NO! Even though I was only customer there and 5 employees not one asked if they can take my order and they looked like they were shutting down . They all looked depressed and unfriendly on top of that . Maybe they dint want a job! That's the way it is I guess. TERRIBLE attitudes and bad bad bad business . For a place that just opened ? Are you kidding me???? Awful and everyone should get fired there!

Decided to come here and try the burger and fries. Cannot believe dining in takes almost THiRTY minutes. Why??? There are a million employees working. No apologies. First and last here. Good or not.
